Our smallest private room is ideal for small meetings and can accommodate a maximum of 10 guests.

Supported Layouts and Capacities

Located on the third floor this space can accommodate 20 guests for a business conference or 20-30 guests for an intimate plated meal. This room showcases SYC's past Commodores and is rich in history.

The Elliott Bay Clubhouse is a satellite facility of SYC located at Elliott Bay Marina. It is available to rent for private parties, receptions, meetings, events and hosted BBQs. It is an ideal location for members who want to self-stage an economical event or celebrate with turn-key catering. Elliott Bay's waterfront location with views of downtown, the mountain, the bay, and the marina make an impressive venue for you and your guests.

Our largest single private room offers an incredible view of SYC's private marina. The Fireside Lounge is great year round with its cozy fireplace in the winter and the attached patio leading to the lawn during the summer months. This room can accommodate 120 guests fully seated or 150 reception style. The hidden dance floor can be exposed for a night of dancing at no extra charge.

Located on the lower level this room is used for a variety of events from business presentations to 50th wedding anniversaries. The adjoining patio is perfect for cocktails on the lawn prior to dinner. The Heritage Room can accommodate 60 guests seated and 90 reception style.

Available for rental September through April, otherwise known as the PBR, this room can accommodate 18 guests and provides a more casual experience off the Marine Room bar.

The lawn is a great space to hold an event during the warmer months and can accommodate groups as small as 30 or a wedding of 400 guests. Tents of varying sizes are available for rent depending on the type of experience you're looking for.

About Seattle Yacht Club

Seattle Yacht Club venue is located on Seattle’s Portage Bay in the Montlake neighborhood near the University of Washington. It is a boating organization best known for its sailing community and club offering that includes sailing regattas, cruising, and social events.

The clubhouse provides views of the water offering members access to gatherings and celebration. dinning, meeting spaces. It’s also fabulous Seattle waterfront wedding venue.

Wedding at Seattle Yacht Club

Angela and Connor hosted their wedding at the Seattle Yacht Club, welcoming mostly out-of-town guests. Both healthcare professionals living out-of-state, Angela is originally from Seattle, while Connor is from the Midwest. They chose Seattle for their wedding to showcase the city’s natural beauty.

Guests enjoyed the stunning Seattle waterfront setting of the Seattle Yacht Club during the cocktail hour and ceremony, making the celebration truly memorable.

Angela and Conner held their first look at West Montlake Park which is located on the Lake Washington waterfront. They were greeted with celebratory cheers and boat horns of the passing boaters during their first look.

We also took advantage of beautiful Mountlake neighborhood with vintage homes and tall trees as the backdrop for couple, bridal party , and family portraits.

Wedding Photography at Seattle Yacht Club

As a Seattle Wedding Photographer , I feel privileged to have access to photograph so many beautiful settings across the Pacific Northwest. Seattle Yacht Club did not disappoint. I highly recommend Seattle Yacht Club for engaged couples who are considering a fabulous waterfront venue for their Seattle wedding.

Here are some of my observations from photographing at this venue that I hope engaged couples would find helpful:

• Spacious Property : Seattle Yacht Club has plenty of space for guests to spread out and enjoy themselves while exploring the grounds of the venue.
• Photography : Bright sunny days offer little shade at Seattle Yacht Club wedding venue. This poses challenges for flattering portraits, especially during the ceremony, bride & groom, wedding party, and family portraits. Hiring an experienced wedding photographer who can handle these lighting conditions is crucial. Additionally, during summer months, the grass will look brown and dry.
• Flexibility : Seattle Yacht Club offers flexibility in terms of event size and layout, making it suitable for various wedding styles and themes. Whether you’re planning an intimate gathering or a grand celebration, it can accommodate your vision.
• Membership: A club membership is required to hold private events at Seattle Yacht Club.

The Seattle Yacht Club

Built in 1890,  The Seattle Yacht Club is one of the older Seattle wedding venues   but still offers a modern  space with stunning landscapes and multiple venues for celebrations big and small.

The Fremont Abbey

Pricing: contact for pricing Capacity: 100 – 350 guests

Fremont Abbey is a great choice for couples who are looking for a unique and affordable wedding venue in Seattle. It is a two-story building that offers couple different choices of event spaces where they can have their special event. It is an historic building with modern amenities that merges together to provide the beautiful venue to tie the knot.  

Pricing: The cost of a ceremony permit at Kerry Park is $120 per hour. The permit allows for up to 50 guests, and it must be obtained at least 60 days in advance of the event. There is also a $250 non-refundable application fee.

Capacity: 100 guests

Kerry Park is best known for its romantic atmosphere and stunning view of the Seattle skyline. This popular wedding venue has a variety of venues that couples can create their romantic wedding ceremony and host their guests. 

Gas Works Park

Pricing: $120/hour Capacity: 100 guests

Gas Works Park has a large lawn, a gazebo, and a picnic shelter that can be used for weddings. The large law, gazebo venue, and the picnic shelter are all viable wedding venue options that couple can use for their wedding day ceremony.   It is important to note that the park does not have a catering kitchen so couples will need to bring in their own food and drinks.

The Tyee Yacht Club (also known as the Yacht Club on Lake Union) is run by Ravishing Radish Catering and sits right on Lake Union and has beautiful views of the Lake.

With a spectacular view of Puget Sound, you and your guests can admire the majestic mountains, sandy beaches and vibrant sunsets. All of this and more can be enjoyed from the lovely banquet room and spacious outdoor patio ... ideal for a beachfront ceremony.

The Edmonds Yacht Club offers flexible seating arrangements and has a capacity for approximately 220 seated guests. Our clients have access to a fully equipped commercial kitchen and separate bar area; as well as dinnerware, silverware and drinkware including wine goblets, bar tumblers, and champagne flutes. As a courtesy, vases and candle holders are also available.

You are welcome to bring in your own food/beverages or secure the services of a caterer. If you plan to serve any type of alcohol it is necessary to apply for a Banquet Permit ($10), contract with a licensed bartender and obtain Event Liability and Property Damage insurance that includes liquor liability.

The Edmonds Yacht Club provides the spacious room, tables, chairs, in-room speakers, wireless microphones and an on-site representative to assist with last minute needs. Plenty of complimentary parking is available nearby.

The Edmonds Yacht Club is short drive from downtown Seattle, with easy access to freeways. The Edmonds/Kingston Ferry Dock, the Edmonds Train Station, Community Transit Bus stops are within walking distance. The City of Edmonds offers a variety of shops and restaurants. A hotel is also located within walking distance and convenient for out of town guests.

A great little Yachtclub on the south end of Lake Washington, the building is open for rentals for parties dances et cetera.
