M/y atlante to be the flagship of the first versilia yachting rendez-vous.

With its 55 metres in length, CRN’s mega yacht will head Ferretti Group’s fleet on display in Viareggio. Everything is ready for the first edition of the Versilia Yachting Rendez-Vous, to be held in Viareggio from 11 to 14 May, where the undisputed queen will be 55-metre yacht Atlante by CRN, the Italian shipbuilder and brand, part of the Ferretti Group, specialising in the construction of fully-custom steel and aluminium pleasure vessels between 40 and 100 metres. With its 55 metres in length, the Atlante will stand out in the Viareggio marina not only because of its size, but above all thanks to its strong and unique personality – its very sharp and purposefully clear-cut lines that draw inspiration from some of the typical features of military crafts have already turned the Atlante into an icon of international yachting. Visitors will be able to admire CRN’s mega yacht in the Italy Dock area. The yacht’s naval engineering was in charge of the shipyard itself, in cooperation with design firm Nuvolari Lenard, who took care of its exteriors, and Gilles & Boissier Interior Design, who pencilled its interior design. Held for the very first time this year, the Versilia Yachting Rendez-Vous will be a highly prestigious and exclusive stage for the Atlante and for Italian shipbuilding in its entirety, becoming a new reference event not only for sector professionals, but also for yachting enthusiasts, both in Italy and abroad.

Motor Yacht

This yacht is the outcome of the outstanding job performed by design firm Nuvolari Lenard, that pencilled her outer lines, and CRN’s Engineering Department, which was in charge of naval engineering.

Nuvolari Lenardi had already successfully cooperated with the Shipyard on several megayachts, including 43-metre 'Magnifica’, 46-metre ‘Clarena' and 'Saramour', and 72-metre 'Azteca'.

“Launching a new yacht is always a moment of great pride for the entire Shipyard” – says CRN’s Chairman and CEO Lamberto Tacoli - “as emotions go hand in hand with the satisfaction of knowing that each and every one of our products is going to represent our brand and Made-in-Italy yachting across the world’s seas. The ‘ATLANTE’ is an extraordinary jewel – a very innovative one – we can truly be proud of. We are deeply grateful to the Owner Company for choosing us to build such an extraordinary yacht; to the design firm Nuvolari Lenard, that through the 'ATLANTE' have once more confirmed their incredible creativity; and to all CRN’s workers and subcontractors who were involved in this project from its very beginning to its final completion".

Entirely built in Ancona, this yacht can boast a purposely strong stylistic identity, which draws inspiration from some elements typical of military crafts: square shapes, sharp lines, and innovative, sophisticated design solutions - these are the distinguishing features of the Ancona-based shipyard's brand-new yacht.

The ’ATLANTE’, 55 metres long and having a 10.20-metre beam, develops over 5 decks featuring strikingly original solutions.

The magnificent yacht features a luxurious interior design from Gilles & Boissier. ATLANTE was delivered in 2015 from CRN’s Italian shipyard. She is cutting-edge and impressive for all to see on the water.

The interior of the ATLANTE yacht was designed by Dorothée Boissier and Patrick Gilles from Gilles & Boissier . The design team collaborated with CRN’s in-house design team.

She has accommodation for 12 guests in 5 suites which are configured as one master suite and 4 VIP suites.

The master suite is a full-beam accommodation with a contemporary design and a masculine style.

The room features a full-beam ensuite. The four guest cabins are found on the lower deck and share a similar style to the master with smoked oak, brushed silver fir tones, and white Calcutta Vagli marble.

The ATLANTE yacht has crew accommodation for 13 on the lower deck, ensuring guests have the most luxurious superyacht experience.

While the yacht’s exterior features bold and aggressive lines, the interior is meant for pleasure, comfort, style, safety, and fun onboard.

The vessel has a touch-and-go helicopter pad for a helicopter of up to three tonnes. The main deck can be used for many purposes: as storage for tenders, an alfresco dining area, a cinema, or a private saloon.

There is a formal dining area that is located forward the wheelhouse. ATLANTE has an outstanding wellness feature: a gym, a spa with a massage table, a Turkish bath, and a pool.

The beach club makes for an excellent indoor/outdoor area to enjoy the sea views and surrounding areas. The elevator makes it easy for guests to move throughout the five decks of the yacht.

She features a wide selection of water toys for guests to be entertained by. The superyacht’s interior is impressive and luxurious with its gentleman-styled interiors and matching artwork.

The ATLANTE yacht has a stunning exterior that is a match for her lavish interior. She features exterior design from Nuvolari Lenard that penned cool, striking, and stylish lines of ATLANTE. CRN designed the naval architecture.

She was built by the Italian shipyard CRN, which is known for its luxurious builds and quality.

She was delivered in 2015 and has a steel hull and aluminum superstructure that are eye-catching and imposing on the water.

The decks are teak throughout the yacht. The dark tones of ATLANTE’s exterior add to the military-like features of the vessel’s visage on the water.

Specifications

The ATLANTE yacht is 55m with a 10.2m beam and a 3.1m draft. She has a cruising speed of 14 knots and a top speed of 15 knots with her two Caterpillar engines .

ATLANTE has a cruising range of 4200 nautical miles at 12 knots and has a displacement of 1024 gross tons.

She has a Lloyd’s Register classification and is MCA compliant. The $40 million superyacht has an annual $2 – $4 million running cost.

Hull turned on Atlante Yachts' first 35m explorer yacht

Construction is officially underway on Atlante Yachts' 34.5-metre explorer series, the Atlante Classic 35. The first unit has had its hull turned at Mengi Yay 's shipyard in Tuzla, Turkey.

Commissioned by an "experienced Northern European client", the yacht is scheduled for delivery in spring 2025.

The Atlante Classic 35 is a modern interpretation of the full displacement explorer yacht, with Atlante Yachts committed to an all-Italian design. Exterior and interior design is therefore owed to VYD Studio , while naval architecture will be completed by Arrabito Naval Architects . 

Accommodation is across five en suite cabins. Interior renderings reveal a fresh, contemporary style with floor-to-ceiling windows, light-wood wall panelling and a gentle colour palette of blues and greys. The design was developed with extensive input from the owners, including the choice of high-quality Italian materials and fabrics. 

Leisure highlights include a beach club with an unfolding transom and ample entertainment areas across its three decks. The hardtop sundeck is the main communal area, fitted with fixed sunpads, an al fresco dining area with U-shaped sofa seating and a dry bar.

"With the layout of the Atlante Classic 35 we have aimed to achieve a perfect equilibrium within the parameters of length, beam and within a very high volume of 330GT usually only available in vessels several metres longer," said Paolo Dose of VYD Studio. "This allows a harmonious balance between accommodation, living, exterior and technical areas."

Powered by twin Volvo Penta engines, the Atlante Classic 35 will have a cruising speed of 11 knots and a range in excess of 5,000 nautical miles.

According to BOATPro , Mengi Yay has seven other hulls currently under construction. This includes the first two hulls in its "go anywhere" explorer series Virtus XP, both scheduled for delivery in 2025.

The producer, Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, says in the lawsuit that he lived and traveled with Combs from September 2022 to November 2023, during which time he recorded hours of video and audio of Combs, his staff and others “engaging in serious illegal activity.” Among the allegations is that Combs forced Jones to procure sex workers and pressured him to engage in unwelcomed sex acts with them and others and that Combs gave laced alcoholic beverages to people who attended parties at his homes.  The lawsuit includes what it says are screenshots from gatherings hosted at Combs’ homes that included underage girls and sex workers, some of whom he said were provided drinks that had been laced with drugs at Combs’ direction. The suit, filed in U.S District Court for the Southern District of New York, also names Combs’ adult son, Justin; his chief of staff, Kristina Khorram; Universal Music Group CEO Sir Lucian Grainge; and former Motown Records CEO Ethiopia Habtemariam as defendants. Jones says in the lawsuit that Grainge, Habtemariam, Motown Records, Love Records and Universal Music Group effectively worked together with Combs in a “RICO enterprise” that “failed to adequately monitor, warn, or supervise” the actions of Combs, his son and his chief of staff. A RICO enterprise is any individuals or groups that act together to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act. Jones is seeking $30 million. Representatives for Justin Combs, Khorram, Grainge, Motown Records and Love Records did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Habtemariam could not immediately be reached for comment. An attorney for Combs said Jones’ “reckless name-dropping about events that are pure fiction and simply did not happen is nothing more than a transparent attempt to garner headlines.” “We have overwhelming, indisputable proof that his claims are complete lies. Our attempts to share this proof with Mr. Jones’ attorney, Tyrone Blackburn, have been ignored, as Mr. Blackburn refuses to return our calls,” the attorney, Shawn Holley, said in a statement. “We will address these outlandish allegations in court and take all appropriate action against those who make them.” The suit is the latest in a series of  damning allegations against Combs . According to Jones’ lawsuit, in or about August 2022, Combs called Jones and requested that he produce several songs on the R&B album “The Love Album: Off the Grid,” which was released in September 2023 and was nominated for a Grammy. “Mr. Jones agreed, and his life has been detrimentally impacted ever since,” the lawsuit says. Jones alleges that Combs sexually harassed and assaulted him while he lived with him at Combs’ homes in Florida, Los Angeles and New York, as well as on a yacht Combs rented in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The harassment and assault included “constant unsolicited and unauthorized groping and touching of his anus,” according to the lawsuit. Jones says he was forced to work in Combs’ bathroom as Combs showered naked in a glass enclosure, according to the lawsuit. When he raised concerns about the behavior to Khorram, Combs’ chief of staff, the lawsuit says, she dismissed them as “friendly horseplay, stating that those acts were Mr. Combs way of ‘showing that he likes you.’” The lawsuit accuses Khoramm of aiding and abetting Combs’ sexual assault of Jones and of working with Combs “to groom him into accepting a homosexual relationship.” Jones also alleges that he was forced to solicit sex workers and perform sex acts with them to please Combs.  To aid in the alleged recruitment, Jones said, Combs provided him with “an exclusive Bad Boy baseball cap” and required him to wear it to a Miami establishment “as a signal to any sex worker he approached” that Combs was in town and had sent Jones to recruit them, the lawsuit says. Jones alleges Combs, whom he describes in the suit as “forceful and demanding” and someone who does not take no for an answer, leveraged his power as one of the most influential people in hip-hop and business to intimidate him, including by threatening to inflict bodily harm if Jones did not comply with his demands. On one occasion, Jones alleges, Combs forced him to watch as he displayed guns and bragged about getting away with shooting people. In a separate incident, Jones alleges, Combs shared that he was responsible for a shooting in a nightclub in New York City in 1999 with the rapper Shyne, born Jamal Barrow. A jury acquitted Combs of gun possession and bribery charges in connection with that incident, while Barrow was sentenced to 10 years in jail. Jones was terrified of Combs and felt he could not tell him no, according to the suit. “Mr. Combs consistently made it clear that he has immense power in the music industry and with law enforcement,” the lawsuit says. Jones says in the lawsuit that he has video and audio evidence to support some of the allegations. The lawsuit says that Combs required Jones to “record him constantly” and that on several occasions, Combs took Jones’ cellphone to record himself. As a result, Jones alleges, he has hundreds of hours of video and audio records of Combs, his staff and his guests “engaging in serious illegal activity.” Jones says in the suit that he believes Combs also drugged him on Feb. 2, 2023. He alleges he woke up naked, dizzy and confused in bed with Combs and two sex workers. In response to a request for comment, Jones’ attorney, Tyrone Blackburn, used a Latin phrase, “res ipsa loquitur,” which loosely translates as “the thing speaks for itself,” referring to the lawsuit. Jones says in the suit that he was “under an implied work-for-hire agreement” and was not compensated for the songs he produced on “The Love Album.” As a result, the lawsuit says, Combs, Love Records, Motown Records and Universal Music Group were all unjustly enriched at his expense.   The labels did not immediately respond to requests for comment.  Combs has been sued by four women who have accused him of sexual assault. Cassie, whose legal name is Casandra Ventura, said Combs physically abused her and forced her to have sex with male prostitutes while he masturbated and recorded the encounters. The lawsuit  was settled the day after it was filed . The settlement was “in no way an admission of wrongdoing,” Combs’ lawyer, Ben Brafman, has said. Following Cassie’s lawsuit, two other women, Liza Gardner and Joie Dickerson-Neal, have alleged in lawsuits that Combs sexually assaulted them. And a woman identified as Jane Doe in court documents  said Combs and two other men gang-raped her when she was 17  and Combs was 34.  Those three cases against Combs are still pending. In a statement in December, he denied the allegations, saying “enough is enough,” and called the claims against him “sickening.”  “Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth,” he said in the statement. The mounting allegations stand to harm Combs’ legacy and business empire. A day after Ventura filed her suit,  three of Combs’ former artists expressed support for her . The same month, Combs  stepped down as the chairman of Revolt TV . In December,  Hulu scrapped a reality television show  that was to have followed his family. And in January, Combs  withdrew his lawsuit against Diageo as part of a settlement  with the London-based spirits giant, which he had accused of racism.
