Most expenses are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), a fund that is added on top of the charter price. The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption). You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled). The remainder of the APA is returned after charter.">Price Terms: Plus Expenses

The owners had clear ideas about the functional layout of the boat informed by the time spent aboard their previous yacht. Aesthetically, they requested a calming space to be immersed in “quiet luxury.” Burdi delivered a feminine palette of pastel pinks, grays, and creams mated to fumed-oak wall finishes, sand-colored carpets, and a steady bank of windows to capture outside views.
The only room to buck the trend is the main salon, which has pewter-toned furnishings, a muted blue carpet, and a concealed cocktail bar.
Central to Burdi’s “marine design” approach was the sense of being on water. “I believe very strongly that you should feel like you’re on a boat,” he says. It’s most apparent in the lower-deck guest rooms, where the bulkheads hug the curve of the hull. Dropdown side tables free up precious floor space to give guests more room to move around. Carved and layered wood ceilings in the guest areas—a detail introduced from the owner’s experience in real estate—add drama and tactility. And a nod to the quiet luxury itinerary prompted the yard to redesign the HVAC system to keep it as discreet and noiseless as possible.
“I wanted the stairwell to look like an unraveled ribbon coming down from above, leading your eye up to the ceiling lights without any obstacles,” he says.
The full-beam, main-deck master suite has a fold-down balcony, lounge area and two bathrooms finished in limestone. The VIP suite is also found on the main deck. Entourage accommodates 12 guests and a crew of 13. A modified crew mess includes a breakfast bar, a large laundry room, and dry storage.
The original exterior design by Espen Øino remains largely unchanged, apart from the owner’s request to extend the bridge and sun deck aft by nearly five feet. The sun deck has a Jacuzzi surrounded by sunpads, a large bar and BBQ, an alfresco dining area, and a shaded L-shaped lounge. Custom-designed lounge furniture echoes the yacht’s interior.
More outdoor dining is found on the main deck aft, while the swim platform can be used for both lounging and accessing the water. There is a sauna, day head and gym equipment in the lower deck beach club. Two tenders and two Waverunners are stored on the foredeck, with further toys stowed in the beach club aft.
Entourage , which was known as Project Witchcraft when in build, is powered by a hybrid propulsion system, which gives it a transatlantic range of 4,500 nautical miles.
The third hull in the Amels 60 series, Project 6003, is on track to be completed in the coming weeks. It features a touch-and-go helipad, large owner’s suite with folding balcony, and an interior by Winch Design, the same company that penned the interior for the first Amels 60, Come Together .

There are many unique touches that set SLIPSTREAM apart, including Winter garden dining, a honeymoon-style Owner’s suite and spacious sundeck with all the features necessary for alfresco living at all hours.
The yacht is also equipped with karaoke facilities and a smoke machine and bubble machine, so she’s great for you if you’re looking for memorable nights at sea.
Exterior Design
A glossy dark hull and steel grey superstructure makes SLIPSTREAM instantly recognizable on the water. Her sleek profile earnt her a top award at the Showboats Design Awards 2010, and her exterior is perfectly in-keeping with her remarkable interior design.
Interior Design
SLIPSTREAM’s interiors have also won prestigious awards, and it’s not difficult to see why when you step on board. A hand-carved trio of totem poles run through the centre of a black marble stairwell, connecting the yacht’s decks and catching your eye as soon as you enter. This striking feature sets the tone for the rest of the yacht, which borrows inspiration from traditional Canadian and Native American influences. The result is a polished ambience, which is still liveable and relaxed. Winch Design hasn’t shied away from bold reds and dark blacks, all offset by varied textures and rich materials.
Guest Accommodation
Slipstream's interior layout sleeps up to 12 guests in 7 rooms, including a master suite, 1 VIP stateroom, 2 double cabins and 2 twin cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 15 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Her Owner’s suite is particularly lavish, with a scarlet, black and cream color palette creating a romantic atmosphere. The Owner’s suite includes an office, his and her bathrooms, walk-in wardrobe and a raised observation lounge with access to the foredeck.
Meanwhile, the VIP promises exceptional views, with large windows and a sliding glass door leading onto a private balconette. Four stylish double cabins are located on the lower deck, two of which can be converted into twin cabins for your convenience. The gym also converts to a seventh cabin with two Pullman berths and en suite bathroom, proving once again how versatile and flexible SLIPSTREAM is.
Onboard Comfort & Entertainment
SLIPSTREAM has an impressive sundeck that offers all the facilities you could want; a large jacuzzi, alfresco dining, a sleek bar, sunpad spread and barbecue. Every aspect has been considered; Glass windbreaks to allow for unobstructed views, an open-air shower and shading beneath the radar arch so charter guests can enjoy their meals out of the glare of the midday sun. The result is a fantastic and well-used space where the entire charter party can gather at all hours.
For movie nights at sea, the yacht’s skylounge can be converted into a cinema suite. At the touch of a button, black-out blinds shield the windows and a screen materializes from its integrated concealment spot in a chaise longue.
The yacht has an excellent gym set-up if you’re looking to keep fit on while on charter. Treadmills and weights overlook the water, providing a soothing setting for working up a sweat. When not in use, the gym can be converted into a seventh cabin for nannies, bodyguards or other supernumerary guests.
Performance & Range
She is built with Aluminium superstructure and Steel hull. She features an ultra-modern stabilization system to reduce roll motion effect and ensure the ultimate comfort throughout your charter vacation. With a cruising speed of 14 knots, a maximum speed of 16 knots and a range of 5,000nm from her 139,000 litre fuel tanks, she is the perfect combination of performance and luxury.
Slipstream has aboard a plentiful range of water toys and accessories ready to entertain you and your guests whilst on charter. Principle among these is a sailboat to bring out the explorer in you. Additionally, there are waterslides for guests of all ages to enjoy. Guests can feel the wind in their hair and jump the waves on one of the two Bombardier WaveRunners. If that isn't enough Slipstream also features towable toys, waterskis, scuba diving equipment, wakeboards, kayaks and much more. When it's time to travel from land to see, it couldn't be easier with a 6.7m/22' Nautica Tender.

About 60m perennial yacht - by tcy design.
You may well ask, why is this motor yacht designed the way it is...
With this project the Tony Castro Design Team took a step back from all the hype in the industry media and had a look at it purely from a client/user focuses point of view.
We are all currently experiencing a changing landscape, in business, politics, financially, but also in our own industry as well. It seems there is a lot of pressure to make statements with the latest green tech, the latest never before seen feature, or claim the most out there unique designs both inside and outside..!
With so much "noise" around, we believe the best play is a softer more subtle approach. A project to outlast the latest fashion trends in floating architecture, a yacht he/she does not have to sell one year after launching her, and focus instead in delivering to a yacht owner an experience away from the noise, and the chance to spend time in yacht designed to suit those that use her, prioritizing those inside looking out, not the shipyards or the Brokers or the latest media frenzy. This Design attitude delivers a different and better king of Yacht.
So, at its core, PROJECT PERENNIAL is just that, timeless, elegant escapism that will be as graceful now, as it will be many years from now.
The exterior has been crafted with soft flowing lines that hug her large volume. With the exterior spaces being designed with a social family friendly approach, with the aft terrace being the most prevalent example.
The large asymmetric pool is flanked on two sides by soft sofas, and a breakfast bar area perfectly suited to morning or evening use. This area is watched over by the raised pavilion set up for dining, lounging or a sundowner cocktail.
With the flick of a switch and the additional corner posts, the crew can cover the whole terrace with an expansive slatted pergola that pockets in the tween deck and slides out to provide Tuscan style sun shade to the full terrace.
On the lower deck below the terrace and pavilion houses the beach club, aft boarding, and water access, fold down platforms for water sport activities or waterside bathing.
Up on the fore deck we have the option of a flat deck for helicopter boarding, or the forward spa pool and encircled fire pit, perfect for seeing the night in, around the fire, and a dip in the water under the stars.
More conventional aft formal dining is found on the bridge deck aft, behind the upper saloon. Unusually the deck above is offered to the owner as a full owners deck, up away from the crew activities, without being overlooked by anyone nor affected by the day to day running of the yacht. The interior of which is complete with his & hers ensuites, a panoramic view from the primary cabin, and private veranda. Aft is a dedicated owners office/lounge aft with access to the aft deck and sun deck above. Privacy, when wanted, and comfort a priority.
The remaining interior of the large volume yacht is well thought out, housing a gym and spa area on the main deck, two forward VIP cabins with balcony access, a large family cabin with pullman berths.
further sea cabins on the lower deck with direct access to the beach club, and lower deck serviced cinema. Giving a guest accommodation of between 12 and 16 depending on pullmans et cetera and a crew of up to 16 plus captain,
Large tenders are very much part of the experience we believe the owners like to have. There is a large tender bay for a 9 meter limo tender and 7 meter rib.
The machinery room space has been calculated around the latest hybrid set up, should that be one of the options the owner will choose.
The project name Perennial, comes from a combination of the Latin word for "timeless" or a group of "long lasting flowers". Capturing the yachts elegance, timeless design and a sense of fit-for-purpose.
Individual preferences and choices can be accommodated, of course, and we would be happy to help the owners achieve their wishes.

Interior Moods
The interior design style of PERENNIAL is yet to be designed beyond 2D plan level, leaving room for the future owner to mould her into their own dream interior. We believe a yacht is the most personal project for an owner, and this is most reflected with the interior.
The images seen here, are made to create the feel of the interior in the general arrangement drawings. And to convey the mood that was in mind when drawing on the yacht. All of which is subject to development with the owner or interior partner.

196-Foot Floating ‘Landmark’ for Sale
It is hard to imagine Sag Harbor without the Intuition II, a 196-foot-long yacht. Owned by Patrick E. Malloy for 18 years and tied up at the dock at his marina south of Long Wharf, it has been up for sale for a year, and, with a recent price drop, may not be back next summer.
“When they’re coming into the harbor,” Robert Bori, the village harbormaster, said of boaters, “it’s one of the first things they see. It’s almost like a landmark.”
“It’s such a fixture in Sag Harbor,” said Bruce Tait, a yacht broker whose office is in one of Mr. Malloy’s buildings near the marina. “It bookends the season,” he said. The yacht remains in the village until after Thanksgiving, when it usually heads south. “It signals the start of the season and signals the complete end of the season.”
Listed with Pam Barlow of Luke Brown Yachts, it is on the market for $4.95 million, down from its original list price of $7.5 million a year ago. “Having owned and loved Intuition II for over 18 years, her owner has reluctantly decided that it is time to let her go,” the listing says. “She has many more years of good life and longer trips in her.”
Mr. Malloy did not return a call, and Ms. Barlow declined to comment.
“She’s a handsome boat,” Mr. Tait said, with a spectacular interior refit in Southampton, England. The yacht has seven staterooms, two saloons, and two dining rooms. While the size of super- yachts has grown considerably in the last decades — some are in excess of 400 to 500 feet — Intuition was long one of the biggest. “Back in the day, when Intuition came into Sag Harbor, it was probably one of the largest U.S.-owned megayachts,” said Mr. Tait.
Intuition was not always a yacht. It was converted from a commercial ship, one of three pilot cutters built in the early 1970s for the Netherlands Pilotage Authority, one of Holland’s premier shipyards, according to the listing. Pilot cutters are designed to wait in the sea to take ships into port. The yacht, built “to withstand the rigors, year round, of the North Sea,” has an all-welded steel hull heavily framed with thick plating, and nine watertight bulkheads.
An “expedition” yacht, it is meant to go longer distances at slower speeds. The Intuition has traveled 7,000 miles, including trips from New York to Newfoundland, to Florida, to Mexico, and to the Mediterranean at its cruising speed of 10 knots.
When Mr. Malloy bought Intuition II, he formed a small company to handle the conversion. Vosper Thornycroft, known for its expertise in building naval vessels, handled the metalwork. More than 60 workers stripped out the original wiring, electronics, insulation, heating, air-conditioning, and plumbing. Southampton Yacht Services redesigned the interior, and Nicholson Interiors, a high-end company that has fitted out two yachts for the British royal family, took on the finishing work.
“The end result,” the broker’s listing said, “is a tribute to the owners, project managers, yards, and all of the subcontractors involved in transforming this rugged North Sea pilot boat into a ‘go anywhere’ globe trotter with all of the comforts, amenities, and appeal of a stunning luxury yacht.”
Even though, Mr. Tait said, “It takes a particular type of person that wants this yacht.”
The yacht sleeps up to 15 in 10 cabins, and requires a 12-person crew. Many are able to have their own cabins — a luxury, the listing said, found on very few yachts.
The yacht has many decks, and the top deck can store water toys and small boats, though it is not structurally sound enough for a helicopter. The listing said it “could possibly be beefed up to carry a lightweight helicopter, or to be used as a ‘touch and go’ helipad.”
Excluded from the sale are Mr. Malloy’s art and photography, personal china (which is monogrammed), and Waterford crystal glasses.
Mr. Tait said there was no rule of thumb for how long it should take for a yacht to sell, as opposed to real estate. But with the price drop last month, he remarked, Mr. Malloy is “getting serious about selling the boat.”

Inside the shocking Sicily yacht tragedy that left 7 people dead
There was a violent storm, but even then, luxury yachts are built to weather such events. so why did this boat sink off the coast of sicily, leaving seven people dead, by natalie finn | e news • published august 24, 2024 • updated on august 24, 2024 at 9:34 am.

But what was supposed to be a routine pleasure cruise aboard a superyacht turned deadly all the same on the morning of Aug. 19 when the 184-foot Bayesian got caught in a storm and sank off the coast of Sicily .
"I can't remember the last time I read about a vessel going down quickly like that," Stephen Richter of SAR Marine Consulting told NBC News . "You know, completely capsizing and going down that quickly, a vessel of that nature, a yacht of that size."

Of the 22 people onboard, including crew, seven people died. The last of the bodies was recovered Aug. 23, an expectedly sad coda to what had already been a tragic week as the search for answers as to how this happened got underway.
And to be sure, every minute of the Bayesian's ill-fated outing is being fiercely scrutinized, starting with the general seaworthiness of the vessel itself.
Because, frankly, this was a freak occurrence.
U.S. & World

26-year-old man turns himself in after deadly Germany stabbing attack, officials say
"Boats of this size, they’re taking passengers on an excursion or a holiday," Richter explained. "They are not going to put them in situations where it may be dangerous or it may be uncomfortable, so this storm that popped up was obviously an anomaly. These vessels that carry passengers, they’re typically very well-maintained, very well-appointed."
But in this case, a $40 million yacht sank, seven people are dead—including a billionaire tech mogul and his 18-year-old daughter—and morbid fascination doesn't need a second wind.
Here is how the story of the Sicily yacht tragedy has unfolded so far:
What happened to the yacht that sank off the coast of Sicily?
The Bayesian had set off from the Sicilian port of Milazzo on Aug. 14 at capacity with 12 guests and 10 crewmembers aboard.
The aluminum-hulled vessel was built in 2008 by Italian shipbuilder Perini Navi and registered in the U.K. Cruise sites listed it as available for charter at $215,000 per week, per the Associated Press.
On the morning of Aug. 19, the superyacht was anchored off the coast of Porticello, a small fishing village in the Sicilian province of Palermo (also the name of Sicily's capital city), when a violent storm hit.
The vessel "suddenly sank" at around 5 a.m. local time, seemingly due to "the terrible weather conditions," the City Council of Bagheria announced shortly afterward, per NBC News .
At the time, only one person was confirmed dead—the ship's chef—but six others were said to be missing. The 15 survivors—who managed to make it onto an inflatable life boat, according to emergency officials—were rescued that morning by the crew of another yacht that had been nearby when the storm hit.
"Fifteen people inside," Karsten Borner, the Dutch captain of the ship that was able to help (the Sir Robert Baden Powell), told reporters afterward, per Reuters. "Four people were injured, three heavily injured, and we brought them to our ship. Then we communicated with the coast guard, and after some time, the coast guard came and later picked up injured people."
When the storm hit, his boat ran into "a strong hurricane gust," Borner said, "and we had to start the engine to keep the ship in an angled position."
They "managed to keep the ship in position," he continued, but once the storm died down, they realized the other boat that had been behind them—the Bayesian—was gone.
The wreck ended up settling 165 feet below the surface, according to Italy's national fire department.
Fire officials said that divers, a motorboat and a helicopter were deployed to search for the missing.
Meanwhile, footage was captured of the ship capsizing on closed-circuit TV about a half-mile away from where it was anchored.
In the video obtained by NBC News, the illuminated 250-foot aluminum mast of the ship appears to list severely to one side before disappearing completely. Survivors recalled having just a few minutes to literally abandon ship.
Who were the seven people who died when the yacht Bayesian sank?
The tragedy initially became headline news because billionaire tech mogul Mike Lynch—"Britain's Bill Gates," some U.K. media called him—was among the missing. His body was ultimately recovered Aug. 22 .
"They told me that suddenly they found themselves catapulted into the water without even understanding how they had got there," Dr. Fabio Genco, head of the Palermo Emergency Medical Services, told NBC News Aug. 22. "And that the whole thing seems to have lasted from 3 to 5 minutes."
Genco said he got to Porticello about an hour after the Bayesian capsized.
Survivors "told me that it was all dark, that the yacht hoisted itself up and then went down," he said. "All the objects were falling on them. That’s why I immediately made sure, by asking them questions, if they had any internal injuries."
Why did the yacht sink?
Italian prosecutors are investigating to determine what transpired before the boat went down, according to NBC News.
Meanwhile, the CEO of shipbuilder Perini's parent company The Italian Sea Group defended the vessel itself as "unsinkable."
Perini boats "are the safest in the most absolute sense," Giovanni Costantino told Sky News Aug. 22 . What happened to the Bayesian "put me in a state of sadness on one side and of disbelief on the other," he continued. "This incident sounds like an unbelievable story, both technically and as a fact."
Costantino said it had to have been human error that led to the boat sinking, declaring, "Mistakes were made."
"Everything that was done reveals a very long summation of errors," he told newspaper Corriere della Sera Aug. 21, in an interview translated from Italian. "The people should not have been in the cabins, the boat should not have been at anchor."
The weather was "all predictable," he continued, adding that the storm "was fully legible in all the weather charts. It couldn't have been ignored."
The yacht's captain, identified as James Cutfield of New Zealand, was taken to Termini Imerese hospital for treatment. From there, he told La Repubblica, per Sky News , that he didn't see the storm coming.
Borner, the captain of the ship that rescued the 15 Bayesian survivors, told NBC News that he noticed the storm come in at 4 a.m. local time, and saw what looked to him like a waterspout, a type of tornado that forms above water.
The International Centre for Waterspout Research posted on X Aug. 19 that it had "confirmed 18 waterspouts today off the coasts of Italy. Some were powerful waterspouts, one of which may have been responsible for the sinking of a large yacht off of Sicily."
Borner said he didn't know why the Bayesian sank so quickly, guessing "it may have something to do with the mast, which was incredibly long." (A tall mast, even with its sails down, means there's more surface area exposed to wind, which can result in tipping.)
Confirming that one person was dead and six unaccounted for immediately following the wreck on Aug. 19, Salvo Cocina of Sicily's civil protection agency told reporters that a waterspout had struck the area overnight.
"They were in the wrong place at the wrong time," he said.
The 59-year-old founder of software firm Autonomy had been on the trip with his wife Angela Bacares and their 18-year-old, Oxford-bound daughter Hannah to celebrate his recent acquittal in the U.S. on fraud and conspiracy charges stemming from the $11.7 billion purchase of his company by Hewlett-Packard in 2011.
In a bizarre turn of events, Lynch's co-defendant at trial, Stephen Chamberlain, the former vice president of finance at Autonomy, died after being taken off life support following a road accident on Aug. 17. Chamberlain's attorney told Reuters Aug. 20 that his friend and client had been out for a run when he was "fatally struck" by a car.
Meanwhile, multiple people who contributed to Lynch's defense were on the cruise with him and his family.
The bodies of Morgan Stanley International Chairman Jonathan Bloomer—who testified on Lynch's behalf—and his wife Judy Bloomer, as well as lawyer Chris Morvillo, a partner at the U.S. firm Clifford Chance, and his wife Neda Morvillo, a jewelry designer, were recovered on Aug. 21 .
In a LinkedIn post thanking the team that successfully defended Lynch, Morvillo wrote, per Sky News , "And, finally, a huge thank you to my patient and incredible wife, Neda Morvillo, and my two strong, brilliant, and beautiful daughters, Sabrina Morvillo and Sophia Morvillo. None of this would have been possible without your love and support. I am so glad to be home. And they all lived happily ever after…"
The first casualty confirmed Aug. 19 was the ship's Canadian-Antiguan chef, later identified as Recaldo Thomas.
"He was a one-of-a-kind special human being," a friend of Thomas told The Independent . "Incredibly talented, contagious smile and laugh, an incredible voice with a deep love of the ocean and the moon. I spoke to him nearly every day. He loved his life his friends and his job."
Hannah's body was the last of the missing six to be found , with divers bringing her remains ashore on Aug. 23.
Lynch and Bacares, who was rescued, also shared a 21-year-old daughter, according to The Times.
While awaiting trial, Lynch—who maintained his innocence throughout the proceedings—had spent 13 months under house arrest in San Francisco. Back home in London afterward, he admitted to The Times in July that he'd been afraid of dying in prison if he'd been found guilty. (He faced a possible 25-year sentence.)
"It's bizarre, but now you have a second life," he reflected. "The question is, what do you want to do with it?"

Italian prosecutors open shipwreck and manslaughter investigation into superyacht sinking
Prosecutors in Italy have opened an investigation into culpable shipwreck and multiple manslaughter after a superyacht capsized during a storm off the coast of Sicily
ROME -- Prosecutors in Italy said Saturday they have opened an investigation into culpable shipwreck and multiple manslaughter after a superyacht capsized during a storm off the coast of Sicily, killing seven people onboard. They included British tech magnate Mike Lynch and his daughter.
Termini Imerese prosecutor Ambrogio Cartosio confirmed the investigation has been launched, but hasn't identified a suspect.
“We are only in the initial phase of the investigation. We can’t exclude any sort of development at present,” he told reporters at a news conference.
Cartosio said his team will carefully consider each possible element of responsibility, including those of the Bayesian's captain, the crew, individuals in charge of supervision, the yacht's manufacturer and others.
“For me, it is probable that offences were committed, that it could be a case of manslaughter, but we can only establish that if you give us the time to investigate," he said.
The main question investigators are focusing on is how a sailing vessel deemed “unsinkable” by its manufacturer, Italian shipyard Perini Navi, sank while a nearby sailboat remained largely unscathed .
Prosecutors said the event was “extremely rapid” and could have been a “downburst” — localized, powerful wind that descends from a thunderstorm and spreads out rapidly upon hitting the ground.
Initially, civil protection officials said they believe the yacht, which featured a distinctive 75-meter (246-feet) aluminum mast, was struck by a tornado over the water, known as a waterspout.
Investigators were also asked why the crew was almost entirely saved, except for the chef, while six passengers remained trapped in the hull.
Local official confirmed that most of the bodies recovered were found in the same part of the yacht — on the left side and closer to the surface — suggesting that passengers had sought safety in the cabins where the last air bubbles had formed.
Deputy Prosecutor Raffaele Cammarano said it was likely that the passengers were asleep, adding that one of the main focus of the investigation is to ascertain whether they were alerted by someone.
Cammarano confirmed that one person was on watch in the cockpit.
Rescuers on Friday brought ashore the last of seven bodies from the sinking of the Bayesian, a 56-meter (184-foot) British-flagged luxury yacht that went down in a storm near the Mediterranean island in southern Italy early Monday. The sailboat was carrying a crew of 10 people and 12 passengers.
The seventh victim was Hannah Lynch, 18, the daughter of Mike Lynch. , whose body was recovered Thursday. He had been celebrating his recent acquittal on fraud charges with his family and the people who had defended him at trial in the United States. His wife, Angela Bacares, was among the 15 survivors.
Rescuers struggled for four days to find all the bodies, making only slow headway through the interior of the wreck lying on the seabed 50 meters (164 feet) below the surface.
Prosecutors said the recovery of the Bayesian will be crucial for the investigation, but noted it will be a long and complex process, which will be paid for by the owners.
The other five victims are Christopher Morvillo, one of Lynch’s U.S. lawyers, and his wife, Neda; Jonathan Bloomer, chairman of Morgan Stanley’s London-based investment banking subsidiary, and his wife, Judy; and Recaldo Thomas, the yacht’s chef.
