This unique vessel is perfect for big groups and carries up to 25 passengers on a day trip. Her twin hulls are much wider than average, which minimizes rocking, and provides a much more stable platform than other cruising boats. The 54'Catamaran is available for charter by the day, week, or month, for scientific research, educational excursions, swimming with whale sharks, sea lions, dolphins, and for romantic dinner cruises. Activities like Sunbathing, fishing, and snorkeling, are all part of the daily cruise experience as well as expeditions to deserted island beaches, and even more.

This is an award-winning catamaran, designed by Robertson and Caine. They are one of the world's leading charter boat builders. Built in 1998 in South Africa, this 4500 model has four double cabins, each with its unique features for a comfy adventure. It has a cabin reserved for crew and the remaining three cabins has one double bed , and two of them also have a single bed located in the pontoon. The cabin configuration is ideal for six guests and has a large seating and dining area outside, under the canvas Biminis. The width of the boat allows for plenty of deck space and one can always find a quiet, private spot.

The 80' SOLANGE by Rodriquez provides great amenities like Yamaha Wave Runner 1200, Paddle Board, Double Kayak, Dinghy 12 "(Medium) for fun activities on water while you are on a tour in this amazing vessel. 

On top of that it features Yamaha Wave Runner 1200, Paddle Board, Double Kayak , Dingy 12"( Soporte ) and has a Fly bridge with room for 15 passengers , formal dining room for 8 passengers , aft dining set for 8 passengers, full kitchen, living room with flat TV, DVD, surround sound system for a perfect vacation. 

The Elegant Azimuth 80' foot accommodates up to 10 charter guests in four deluxe cabins on the lower deck. The master suite is amidships and full beam of the luxury yacht with a center lined king size bed, sofa, vanity, walk in wardrobe and en-suite facilities with his and hers marble sinks and also massage bathtub. A VIP cabin is forward and full beam of the yacht with a queen size bed and en-suite facilities. It also features two cabins that offer cabins single side-by-side mattress, one with en-suite facilities while the other has shared amenities. Each cabin features a neutral decoration of lighting, satin finished wood panels, audio and visual entertainment.

The 100 Leonardo is a class of its own; a luxury yacht of highly sophisticated design with distinctly stylish and dynamic lines. The superstructure is set slightly further back towards the stern to also underline the dynamic and aggressive character of its profile, leaning more towards the horizon. A dynamic design, ample sun decks and unique alternatives - such as the staircase that links the fly bridge to the saloon or the crystal ceiling compartment of the wheelhouse - make the 100 Leonardo an excellent ambassador for style and creativity.

There are basically two entrances to the lower deck areas. The stairways outside the Pilothouse forward access to three guest cabins. The VIP boasts a centerline berth size bed, private bathroom along with a Queen cabin with en-suite bathroom and a private cabin from side to side. From the lounge is another set of stairways to a private entry to the master room. . The full beam master stateroom is basically in the middle of the boat. The room offers amenities such as a king bed, a bathtub, large hanging lockers, a small sofa, several drawers and also an entertainment facility.

100' Azimut

The Benetti 120, built in 2007 also offers charter guests a magnificent layout with voluminous interior and matching spacious exterior deck areas for sunbathing and entertaining. Her main salon is welcoming and comfortable and also adjoins the formal dining area. The master cabin is located forward on the main deck and has got outstanding views. The remaining cabins which include three double and 1 twin cabins are located on the lower deck. Motor yacht Benetti 120 features state-of-the-art entertainment systems and also she has a Spa Pool on her spacious sun deck, a large array of water toys and zero-speed stabilizers. 

120' Luxury Yacht

The yacht comes fully equipped with a captain, engineer, deck hand, stewardess, and chef upon request. For large groups whereby or even more stewards/ bartenders are required additional charges may apply. On board we are equipped with fishing tackle and gear, two seadogs, two 2-man kayaks, snorkeling equipment, and a large 900 gal Jacuzzi. After a successful career as a CEO of multi-million dollar companies and entrepreneur in startups that became publicly traded, Senior Lester retired to La Paz and decided to lend his talents to Lover Lips Yachts. He has a passion for water and boats. Having recently survived, liver cancer, open-heart surgery, and a liver transplant; he lives and enjoys life for today!

Cruising the Southwest Coast of the Sea of Cortez

The following itinerary outlines an 7-day charter adventure starting in Loreto and heading south through La Paz. The ideal Sea of Cortez experience is found in exploring the 205 nm stretch o water between the coastal towns of Loreto, La Paz and San Jose del Cabo.

Sheltered by the 900-mile Baja Peninsula, the Sea of Cortez is a natural wonderland where your  party can enjoy world-class fishing, diving and snorkeling while taking in the breathtaking surroundings of tranquil desert islands, secluded coves, red volcanic cliffs, winding mangroves, enormous sea caves, deserted white sand beaches and pristine sapphire water.

Itinerary Overview 

Arrival: Arrive at Loreta / Coronado. Travel 6 miles in tender to yacht at anchor

Day 1: Cruise to Isla Danzante, north 17 miles about 1.5 hours

Day 2: Bahia Agua Verde, 22 miles about 1.75 hours

Day 3: Isla San Francisco, 51 miles about 3.5 hours

Day 4: Isla Espiritu Santo, 19 miles about 1.5 hours

Day 5: Isla Espiritu Santo, very easy to spend a second day in this paradise

Day 6: Head towards La Paz & Puerto Calandra, 20 miles about 1.75 hours

Sea of Cortez Overview

The Sea of Cortez contains one of the worlds most diverse marine environments containing over 900 islands with 244 under UNESCO protection as World Heritage Bio-Reserves. The natural sea life can range from 50-ton sperm whales to colonies of sea-lions, breaching humpback whales, airborne manta rays and curious dolphins. The area is also know for Marlin, Wahoo, Dorado and Tuna fishing.

Arrival Day

Arrive in Loreto: Transfer 6 nm from the dock in Loreto to the beautiful, unspoiled volcanic island of Coronado in the Intrepid, where you will board the yacht anchored off the beach in turquoise warm water. The beach will already be set up for your arrival and you will just need to change into your swim suits and jump right in!

Isla Coronado

The island is an important piece of the ecology of the Gulf of California. In 1940, marine biologist Ed Ricketts, together with his friend, author John Steinbeck, conducted an expedition and collecting trip in the Gulf of California (sometimes known as the Sea of Cortez) to explore the rich ecology of the intertidal zone. Coronado Island and the Bahia de los Angeles were part of that expedition. The resulting book by Steinbeck and Ricketts, The Log from the Sea of Cortez , remains a classic document of the natural history and ecology of the Gulf of California.

Isla Coronados is a wonderful spot for snorkeling, fishing and hiking. The island is surrounded by bright turquoise waters and soft sand beach. A trail leading up to the volcano from the beach, just northeast of the sand spit is perfect for those wishing to stretch their legs and work up a sweat. During late spring and summer months, when the Sea of Cortez warms, Dorado fishing is exceptional in this area.

Day 1: Isla Danzante North

Cruise north about 17 miles to the crystal clear blue and turquoise waters of Honeymoon Cove. The narrow island is ideal for hiking and exploring and offers plenty to see for kayakers. Trailheads can be found at any of the 3 lobes of Honeymoon cove. The vistas of the Sierra do la Gigantic range can be explored from these diverse trails. The anchorage provides crystal clear waters ideal for diving and snorkeling.

Things to do at Isla Danzante North

Day 2: Bahia Agua Verde

After a short 22 mile cruise the yacht will arrive in the peaceful yet vibrant fishing village of Aqua Verde. The village is set against the soaring, jagged peaks of Baja California’s Sierra de la Gigantic mountain range. The local people are welcoming and friendly. The village features a local goat dairy farm with many shops making it an ideal stop for re-provisioning. The surrounding mountains and green water are a highlight of the area.

Day 3: Isla San Francisco

51 miles up, the yacht will anchor at the National Park Isla San Francisco. The island is known for it hiking and scenery. Featuring a beautiful crescent shaped bay, fine white sand beaches that accentuate the crystal clear, blue waters and burnt-red cliffs the Isla is perfect for snorkeling and relaxing on the beach. Things to do at Isla San Francisco:

Day 4 & 5: Isla Espiritu Santo

Just 14nm north of La Paz sits Isla Espiritu Santo and Isla La Partida, considered the crown jewels of the islands in the Gulf. An isthmus joins the two and depending on the tide you can either walk or take a small boat from one side to the other. The front side of the islands is lined by a series of fingers and bays, each one with its own claim to fame while staying equally beautiful. The sand bottom and shallow depths bring out a light and transparent aqua blue sea color, which reminds many of the  Caribbean . Ensenada Grande Beach, on Isla Partida, was voted the most beautiful beach in Mexico by The Travel Magazine and one of the top 12 beaches in the world. The islands are protected under UNESCO as a biosphere and serve as an excellent place to hike, walk, or just mindlessly explore.

Los Islotes is famous for it’s sea lion rookery. Located just a half mile off the northwest tip of Isla Partida, snorkelers and divers frequent this rocky cove to experience the beauty of the sea lions swimming with their cubs.

Ensenada Grande is a great anchorage drenched in natural beauty. Beautiful views up a small hill from the beach give way to a close look at the limestone caves and inland vegetation.

Day 6 & 7: Balandra & La Paz

Puerto Balandra is a picture perfect anchorage with its brilliant white sand and sparkling waters. A great lunch or overnight stop before our arrival in La Paz. Surrounded by barren desert, La Paz is set amidst ancient laurel trees and coconut and date palms. The city is laid out in classic grid fashion with streets radiating from the city’s northwest facing waterfront (Paseo Alvaro Obregon). Running parallel to Paseo Obregon is the city’s lovely malecon (waterfront promenade). A few blocks inland is the main square with its pink quartz gazebo, tiled walkways and 19th century cathedral. El Mogote, a flat deserted sandbar, sits offshore.

Finishing the cruise the yacht will makes it’s way the last 20 miles to La Paz. On our arrival, Aquavita will anchor near the city center and we will transfer you to the shore with the Intrepid for your short journey to the La Paz International Airport.

What are the benefits of buying a boat in Mexico?

There are many reasons to buy your boat in paradise!

Boats in Mexico are better equipped and are proven cruising vessels. They have much more gear than many of their counterparts in the US that are outfitted only for day sailing. Compare the equipment lists of our boats with those of many of our US or Canadian equivalents and see that we bring you better value.

Purchasing a vessel in Mexico is an offshore purchase and may yield tax advantages. We are not in the tax business so we suggest you contact professionals in that area to ensure that you understand your obligations which can vary by state and country.

Our crew is made up of boat owners who have cruised the US, Canada and the west coast of Mexico. We have lived the cruising dream and have chosen to stay in our adopted country. We have gained first-hand knowledge of what it takes to outfit and maintain a boat for living aboard, coastal cruising, offshore sailing, day sailing, or fishing.

Can I get a survey done in Mexico?

YES! We work with several surveyors in each area, many of whom are also US or Canadian nationals. We work with people that have done surveys for clients before, so we know the quality of their work. If you are buying a vessel, the surveyor you choose will be working for you, ensuring that you get a vessel that has been properly inspected from bow to stern. Our certified surveyors work with US, Canadian and European insurance carriers on a regular basis. Current survey rates range from $10 to $14 per foot.  E-mail us for more details.

How does the boat-buying process work in Mexico?

If you see a boat that interests you,  contact us and let us know! Each boat has an ‘Inquire About This Boat’ button that will connect you directly with us so that you may ask questions about each boat. We will respond quickly to your inquiries and provide you with detailed information and assessments of the boats we have in inventory. Once you are ready to make an offer, we will work with you to draw up an “Offer to Purchase & Sales Agreement” which details the conditions and any contingencies of the purchase. Our brokers will work with you and the seller to come to a mutually acceptable price and terms. Upon the offer being accepted by the seller, the 10% deposit must be submitted to the title company noted below in Washington State. This amount is held in your name in a trust account.

My offer was accepted! What's next?

Once your offer is accepted, you will have a set period of time to complete the purchase transaction, normally 10 to 30 days. This period is used to satisfy any contingencies such as your personal inspection, the survey and the sea trial. Once all the contingencies have been satisfied, closing and documentation instructions are sent to Pacific Maritime Title (PMT) or Marine Documentation Service, Inc (MDSI). You will receive your new documentation from the US Coast Guard or Canada Ships Registry. Proper papers will be provided if registering under another flag. In the unlikely event that the contingencies are not met, the deposit in trust is returned to you.

Okay, I'm ready to come to Mexico. Where do I stay?

We are always happy to help with your accommodations and can provide you recommendations and directions on getting here by either air, land or sea. Let us know your preferences and we will make arrangements with our local contacts. We can even give you information on other “must see and do” activities in our home cities.

Can I get work done on my boat in Mexico?

Absolutely! La Paz, Mazatlán, San Carlos and Puerto Vallarta are very large cruising communities with multiple yards and marinas. Each city has virtually all the marine-related services and supplies that a boater would want – boat yards, marinas, chandleries and a wide range of marine professionals such as sailmakers, riggers, refrigeration and diesel mechanics, canvas & upholstery, boat maintenance workers. etc. Send us an e-mail at  [email protected]  and we will be happy to provide more information on the services that we recommend to our clients.

How do you handle titling and documentation service?

We use the services of Anacortes Marine Documentation (Anacortes, WA). They are the nation’s foremost providers of vessel documentation, preferred mortgage, state titling, and closing services for owners, buyers, brokers, dealers, lenders and attorneys. They also work with clients to prepare documents for registration outside of the US and Canada. They have provided our clients with excellent service for years.

How hard is it to find a slip for my boat?

There are slips readily available in all of our locations. Unlike many parts of the U.S. or Canada where slips are in short supply, there is availability throughout most of the year. During peak season when there are multiple events at the same time, such as regattas, fishing tournaments, or the seasonal launch and haul-out in the fall and spring, there may be a wait of a few days before you get the slip of your choice.
