Ginges Be Cray

Watching rad tv, below deck sailing s1:e06 oof i did it again recap.

Oh hi there, are you ready for more drunken shenanigans on Below Deck Sailing Yacht ? I’m rooting for one of the two couples forming on board, let’s go Madison and Parker! Other than that, if I have to hear one.single.more.thing about laundry, I shall go mad. Full stark raving. Let’s roll into BDSY S1:E06 Oof! I Did It Again! after the break!

We open where we left off, in the Noak Marina in Corfu with the multi-million dollar sailing yacht Parsifal III grinding itself into the dock.

Captain Glenn Shephard has already gone to town, so it’s not until deckhand Ciara Duggan heads out on deck that it’s caught and she races to tell someone. She finds chief engineer Byron Hissel and first mate Paget Berry on the tender, but the damage has been done. Captain Glenn says it’s a $40,000 embarrassment, how would guests trust their leadership when they can’t keep their ship off the dock?

Hands down, second steward Madison Stalker is the most efficient and hard working member of the interior staff, but it doesn’t really feel like it to her because above and below her, there’s chatter. Chief steward Jenna MacGillivray spends 99% of her time in the galley because she wants to bone chef Adam Glick, who has grossed me out on two? three? seasons of Bravo programming. So Jenna’s not pulling her weight coz she’s pulling on Adam, and while third steward Georgia Grobler is willing to work, she’s super green and extreeeeemmmmmellllyyyy slooooowwww.

I’m just going to go on record and say I have no idea how I would handle either of those roles. I’ve done quite a lot of customer service and service-type jobs but I can’t imagine ironing someone’s sheets in.their.bed every single night.

Wait. Captain Glenn said getting the boat fixed would cost $40k, but it looks like instead we have an exhausted Paget doing the bodywork and painting while they’re parked in dock. Confused.

Georgia works on laundry while Jenna and Adam cuddle in the galley and Madison does the cabins, sigh.

It’s 18 hours to the next charter and time to find out who’s coming in our weekly Preference Sheet Meeting with department heads!

Ahhh right, we’ve got meatheads coming for this next charter, starting with Primary Charter Guest Richie Hosein . He’s a Dudetrepeneur and will be joined by friends Lenny Michel, Marshall Kessler, Austin Allen, Frank Martinis and Thomas Macari. Yep, it’s all dudes and it’s going to be as obnoxious as it sounds, says ten Canadian Tire bucks.

It’s 9:00 pm and most of the crew has gone to bed, including Ciara, but her boyfriend Paget is up on deck with Georgia, who’s playing her guitar. They’re trying to edit this in a scary way, making lots of their banter, but I can’t really see anything coming of it. Ciara and Paget have been together for four years. I just think she can be a little…verbally abusive and he can be a little…slow.

Georgia has a great singing voice, Paget listens to her original work in disbelief. Below Deck, Jenna and Adam are making out again, he walks her to her cabin door like a gentleman.

Madison and Byron sit together and eat cake together in the crew mess while he interrogates her. Ah damn, she lost her sister in a horrible, horrible way; shot as a bystander in Detroit, that’s why she doesn’t live in Michigan any more. Her sister’s death makes her not want to go home. She’s trying to live her life by not doing anything she doesn’t want to do.

Deckhand Parker McCown is driving Paget crazy, he delegates some of his authority to Ciara to manage the chatty Parker.

It’s the last push to clean up the boat before guest arrival, which I’m sure these guys will appreciate. Hai Primary Richie and I’m Sure Totally Not Douchey Friends!

The guys are definitely Motel Brotel Holiday Inns, but mostly cute, funny and charming for now. Parker is totally ready for this fun trip with his bros, funny, I never figured him for the type. He’s so laid back.

Jenna takes the gang on the boat tour, starting with the cockpit which elicits the response you’d expect. Lots of pretty rooms, then we’re on to tequila shots already, yay! Then more shots shots shots, followed by shots shots shots and more shots shots shots. They haven’t even left the dock.

Adam sends out all the food he can find for these six huge hungry men, I was thinking burgers but they love the seared Ahi tuna, so maybe I should stop judging a book by its cover, right??

I don’t think they’ve finished lunch yet, but they already want to go to a bar on shore and pick up ladies. Two head in on the tender with Paget while others sabre their second and third bottles of champagne.

By “sabre” I mean they use a butter knife to clip off the end.

One of the beach guys is obnoxious but cute, the other is neither, and either way Paget doesn’t think they’re gonna be bringing any ladies back to the boat. Since there is exactly one woman in her eighties in the bar, he maybe right.

This was worth it.

Parker, walking around with a chamois, is directed by Ciara to not walk so loudly. The extremely intoxicated guests that have passed out after a solid shift of day-drinking and sleeping below deck.

Are they just…looking for reasons to yell at Parker?

Captain Glenn puts up the sails and turns off the motor, we’re sailing! It’s rainy but beautiful, I’m obsessed with finding out the degree of heel. What is it, Captain Glenn??

It’s enough to make a guest do this, running from him room because he thinks he’s on the Titanic.

It’s Georgia’s turn to deal with our Jersey boys, the cute one who fell off the boat asks for a shrimp cocktail and we start the count: that’s 1!

I don’t remember this guy’s name, but I’m going to assume it’s Joey until they give me a caption. Joey now asks Madison for a shrimp cocktail, that’s 2! It’s 7:15 and she tells him that hors d’oeurves are at 7:30 but here’s that fine line again. When you’re serving on a superyacht, food is whenever guests want it.

Okay, this is Marshall, and he’d like his shrimp cocktail now, thanks. Madison checks with Adam, but he used all the shrimp for lunch. Nobody put it on their preference sheet, so they could know to order more shrimp.

It’s 7:45 and Marshall is now screaming that he’s been asking for shrimp cocktails for and hour and a half, lemme just get a timestamp on when he asked Georgia…no timestamp, but watching again I realise that Georgia didn’t a) tell him yes or no and b) didn’t ask the chef about it so no alarm was raised or the situation handled until Marshall asked Madison.

Georgia may feel more comfortable with this type of service, but she’s dropping the customer-management ball. Even drunken fratbros are charter guests and need to be handled.

Shrimp cocktail count: 4

So it’s 7:45, like I said, so Adam is 15 minutes late getting food out to deseguys, finally he finds something that looks like shrimp and sends that out to the hungry guests.

Adam brings out the food with a “get it, boys!”, Marshall reaches for…not the almost-shrimp so Jenna busts his hump a little, to be yelled at that HE’S WAITED FOUR F*****G HOURS.

Everyone is just waiting for this charter to be over.

The guests want to head to town to party, Jenna finds a bar where women feel uncomfortable because men are too touchy: sounds like their kind of place!

Paget thinks these guys are trust fund babies…which means he doesn’t know what that means. If someone in this group doesn’t have a dad or uncle in the sanitation business, I’ll eat your hat.

Georgia, Paget and Ciara are goofing around on the bridge, Georgia breaks out a sexy Russian accent that Paget really likes. Ciara is like a hawk around these two, she watches their every move and stops talking. I don’t know if hawks do that, but that’s what Ciara does, constantly measuring the distance between the two. She’s been saying all along that there’s no flirting and Paget wouldn’t notice anyhow, but now she admits that maybe Georgia’s flirting with Paget but still: no biggie.

Adam snaps at Madison during plating, why is he so tense? Does he need a shrimp cocktail?

Byron and Georgia check out the guest rooms during supper, Georgia quipping that “the little b**ches don’t finish their drinks, either.”

Supper continues, the guests love the food, awwww. They’re heading to a club that’s open from midnight to 5 am because why would you? Ciara will be the one grabbing them from the mainland.

The guests celebrate at the bar, but they’re not having any luck with the ladies thus far. Adam and Jenna snog in the kitchen, Madison and I are all done with the grossness.

Another bottle of champagne is sabred in the streets of Corfu with a butter knife by these wild and crazy guys while Adam and Jenna do their best to not sleep together. She would like to, but he wants to take it slow.

It would absolutely be sexist to suggest that there’s a reason he doesn’t want to jump into the sack, so I will refrain.

The guests text to come back, they’re HONGRAY! Did Adam leave anything out? Nope! Madison does a junk food platter but there should be burgers and wings. They want the chef and captain woken up NOW.

Madison does not want to wake up Adam so she makes grilled cheese sandwiches. They say “Thanks! You’re the BREAST” because sigh.

Parker and Madison hang out in the crew mess again after the guests go to bed, he gave her a hug in the laundry room earlier because they’re pals. Uh huh.

It’s morning and we’re at 5 bottles of sabred champagne! (Doesn’t that feel lame that it’s with a butter knife?)

There’s one serious guy on the charter, Frank, and he wants an actual breakfast, not the continental breakfast Adam has set out for them. Fruit and baby croissants are all right, but he’ll take scrambled eggs and a waffle, please. Hey. so would everyone else!

6 bottles of champagne sabred!

One of the more muscular charter guests, Lenny, picks.Madison.up and uses her as a weight while she asks politely to be put down and the other guests film with their phones. She’s not happy. Thank the gods that’s a skort, not shorts. She goes below deck, upset.

The guests mock her for asking to be put down, joking “what she gonna do, call the Greek cops?”

Parker follows Madison to calm her down, it is much harder to be female around these guys than it is for him, especially since they haven’t been successful at picking up any local women.

They drop anchor and Madison decides she’s not going to make anything uncomfortable by telling the captain or being upset around the guests. She rolls with it because that’s the grossest part of the service industry.

I’m doing everything I can to not get up on my sexism soapbox, but surely this is so gross and obvious to everyone, right??

The bros haven’t given up yet, there’s another bar nearby their anchor spot and they’re gonna give it a try tonight after supper. I hope Madison told Adam to get some pizzas ready for the after party.

Supper is 8:30, but the guests are still sleeping so Jenna wakes them up. The bar is only open until 11 pm and because apparently nightclubs are completely random where they are.

Parker offers to switch watches with Ciara so he can be on late with his bros, that’s a good call. He thinks that’s like James Bond, I’m guessing more like Animal House.

Or maybe being the KeyMaster in Say Anything!

The guests get up to start dusting themselves in Axe bodyspray and pinkie rings, Jenna massages Adam’s neck in the galley while Georgia and Madison try not to puke.

Okay, I’m wrong, one of the guys, Austin, has a trust fund! (Sanitation trust fund?) That must be why he’s allowed to tag along with the better-looking and better in shape jagoffs. They love the Tomahawk steaks, Frank even puts his phone down for a second to enjoy it fully. It’s 10:00 pm and the guys are rushing through supper, but one guy decides to find out for himself.

Thomas has been the butterknife sabremaster, he calls the club and finds out it’s actually open until 2am, so where did Jenna get 11:00 pm from? Maybe that’s how long they serve food. I was impressed with Thomas’s initiative for three seconds until he starts telling “Jen, Jen” how much he hates being lied to.

She said she was mistaken, that’s not lying, you don’t really think she made that up, right? Now, maybe she would have been more diligent if she didn’t loathe all you arseholes, there’s that.

Tommy doesn’t stop, the whole rest of the night about “misunderstandings.”

Somehow, Parker is stepping up! Primary Richie asks for a DJ for the boat, Parker finds one! He radios the Parsifal that the guests are coming in hot with guests of their own, I’m hoping someone wakes up Adam and gets the kitchen popping too.

The guests actually manage to find some ladies to join them, aww, poor girls. Never mind, they’re into it. Enjoy!

Madison’s serving, cooking quesadillas, can you imagine any of the other interior crew making this work? Jenna would be holding Adam’s hand while he complained about not getting enough sleep and Georgia would be slowly singing while staring into the fridge to see if Paget was in there somewhere.

Parker is there to help, but we’ve got a puker AND a smoker on deck, they’re all over the place. We’re out! Omigod, next week we’re STILL on this charter! COME ON! Okay, but just to say goodbye, right? No way a good tip is coming out of this butterknife bunch. Until then. Cheers

Quote Paget’s patience runs out when he’s left to pick up the slack after Parsifal crashes into the dock. A new charter of men from Long Island set sail in all of their champagne-sabering, chest-bumping glory, and the crew scrambles to meet their loud and incessant demands. Adam goes into beast mode while trying to cook for the bros, but he gets comfortable with Jenna, who wants more from their relationship. The guests cruise beach bars for chicks but end up taking a dive in the drink. Madison must decide how to handle a charter guest that crosses the line. And Parker and Madison facilitate an out-of-control yacht party.

Yours truly.

March 10, 2020

I had such a physical reaction to the scene with Madison being manhandled. I was sooooooooooo disappointed when I noticed that Parker was distracted with the other guest and didn't see it at all. I re

Jenna needs to get off Adam’s dick and start paying attention to what’s going on around her. She can start by.helping the stews who’ve been stuck dealing with these asshole guests.  All of the kissing

I actually kind of liked her song and her voice.

The Ringo Kidd

This must be the charter where we see the muscle head lifting up Madison and she keeps asking him to stop that we have seen in the trailers.

I am curious to see what if anything Glenn is going to do about that.

Well Georgia is certainly succeeding in getting exposure for her singing.  Bah.

LOL

I’ve found this version of BD to be rather dull and haven’t even cared to catch it each week.  However, I’m watching tonight and the guest that just fell getting back in the tender was hilarious.

Wow Madison!  Amazing job dealing with these assholes.

Wow! What a bunch of scum bags!! Theses guys make the Jersey Shore kids look like the epitome of class and mannners!!

How old are these guys, anyway? Acting like out of control frat boys, but look like they’re in their late 30’s/early 40’s!

Long Island's finest....

What is with their obsession with sabering the champagne bottles?  DId they just learn you can do that the day before the charter or what?  Frigging lunkheads.

Madison should have said something about being manhandled.

I am disappointed in Glenn. I saw him carrying luggage which is something I never saw the other Captains do. He should have his finger on the plus of his ship. He should have made himself more prominent during the charter. These mooks are punks and would back down if someone called them in their bullshit.

No tip is worth letting your crew be manhandled by drunken assholes. They knew it was over the line.  That’s why they told Madison not to tell anyone. What a bunch of bullshit.

I thought I’ve seen it all, living down the shore in NJ-these guys are next level assholes!  Worst part of this is that they don’t even realize (or care) how bad they look.  I wonder how many of them still live with Mommy or if any of them are in a committed relationship with an actual person, and not just their mirrors and gym equipment!

movingtargetgal

Why isn't Adam up making midnight snacks for the guests?  Jenna should have been up helping Madison when the guests returned to the boat with their guests.  Poor Madison was cooking for and waiting on all those drunks by herself.  I am glad Parker was there to help her.

Whoa Madison!  This murder story needs some research.

She is truly the energizer bunny.  Whipping up grilled cheese sandwiches at 3 AM so horny bear can sleep , then gets manhandled by this idiot.

Then does it again the next night.

So cool of Parker while everyone else was snoozing.

1 hour ago, TexasGal said: Well Georgia is certainly succeeding in getting exposure for her singing.  Bah.

It was one of the highlights of the show  🙂

Unfortunately the minute Madison told the story about her sister's murder, I remembered it from local Detroit news coverage.  The area where it happened was not far from where I worked at the time.   There is apparently more to the story but it would clearly have been a tragedy for Madison's family however it occurred.

OMG -  poor Madison.  I've liked her since the beginning and I get her fear of going to Captain.  It would make no sense for her to go to Jenna cause Jenna wouldn't do a damn thing.  What does Jenna ever do besides hang out in the kitchen with Adam and serve plates.

I thought Georgia sang very nicely.  It was a good break in the shit show.

What a bunch of jerks on this charter.  Yeah, not cool.  But they were trying so hard to.

Epoxy repair can really be a pain in the butt and can be a long process.....

Jenna needs to get off Adam’s dick and start paying attention to what’s going on around her. She can start by.helping the stews who’ve been stuck dealing with these asshole guests.  All of the kissing and hugging in the galley is nauseating.

Interesting.  Parker and Georgia were the guests tonight on WWHL and Madison was in the audience.  IMO, I would have rather seen Madison as a guest.  Anyhow, Andy did ask her a few questions and she did say that a body guard was brought on the yacht.  It seems to me that it was probably a production move.  I was worried that these guys would do something even worse than manhandling  Madison.

I haven't really paid too much attention to this show for the first few episodes, but paid more attention tonight.

I know a lot of people thought that Kate was a crappy chief stew, but compared to Jenna, Kate is a whiz kid.  I haven't seen Jenna do much at all, except dry wine glasses and flirt with Adam.  She hangs out in the galley more than any other stew we've seen on all iterations of BD.  She does serve meals, but there's no interaction at all with the guests - and she NEVER smiles at anyone - talk about resting bitch face!  I can't figure out what the hell she does!

Seeing what douches these charter guests are and how much service they require demand, why would Jenna leave a jr. stew on late nights, ALL BY HERSELF!!!  Madison was left swinging in the wind to deal with a bunch of drunken, idiotic louts who were horrible to everyone.  Glad to see Parker step up on the second night of the charter to help her out.

After the first night, Madison should have mentioned to Jenna or Adam that she had to cook drunk munchie food for the guests, so that someone would be around (Adam) to prepare some food for the guests the second night.

I'm also calling bullshit on the fact that everyone except Madison and Parker slept through the guests having a drunken party WITH A DJ on the sailing yacht - it's not that big - the other crew members had to have heard it!!!  Why didn't Madison or Parker notify someone else prior to the guests returning with those women to ask for assistance?  Just makes no sense at all!!

And, the guy lifting Madison was such a dick tool!!  (Is it possible to be a dick and a tool at the same time?)  His comment about "Don't tell anyone" and then, laughing with the other meatheads "What's she gonna do - call the Greek police?"  I wish someone would have called the Greek police on these disgusting, ugy American fuckwads!!  Let them spend a night in a Greek jail and see how much they crow and strut around afterward!

We've seen some really bad/obnoxious/entitled guests on Below Deck and BD Med, but these jerks are currently at the top of the list of worst charter guests ever.  I'm thinking they leave a crappy tip, too - because they didn't get their fucking shrimp cocktail for "five and fucking half hours" or they didn't get enough champagne bottles to sabre!!!

Good to know.  Thanks for sharing.  I was just about to post something about how disgusting the guests were and how angry I felt watching it.  Especially coming off the misogyny of last season’s Below Deck.  I’m really disgusted.

I hate how Madison felt she had to take that abuse and stay silent about it because speaking up might jeopardize the tip.  We’re in the midst of the #MeToo era, and yet it’s still so prevalent, and even broadcast on national tv in such a same-old, same-old manner.

And if the captain gives an “I didn’t know it was going on” excuse, a la Captain Lee, I’m going to scream.  When will management take a proactive stance on this subject?  Will it take a lawsuit?

These guests must be Asston's idols. Shingles on all their dicks!

But on a serious note, this would be such a nightmare to experience. A bunch of meatheads who think they're god's gift to women, entitled, holding power over the women serving them, fueled by alcohol... I'm just going to assume at least half of them have deformed micro-dicks and missing testicles a la Weinstein, to make myself feel better.

8 minutes ago, MVFrostsMyPie said: I'm just going to assume at least half of them have deformed micro-dicks and missing testicles a la Weinstein, to make myself feel better.

I agree.  I hope they all have a permanent case of shingles on their deformed micro-dicks.

MVFROSTSMYPIE , cursing misogynistic manpigs with a shingles on the dick spell will NEVER get old for me.  😎

Also, can Jenna rub anything besides wine glasses and Adam? What is she, 29-going-on-13? They might as well stick the heart-eyes emoji on her face the whole time.  😍 🤮

I admit I can't stand people who can't practice self-control with their PDA. Get it together, JFC. You can swap saliva and bump uglies when the charter's over. Why do they just stand there hugging? DO YOUR JOB.

scrb

They cast these Bros on purpose, probably encouraged them to be demanding, loud, overrun the boat.

They were opening champagne bottles themselves, serving themselves at the bar, taking glasses with booze on the tender, etc.

So far in all these charters they don’t seem to be going very far from Corfu.  These guests wanted to go to bars at night so they had to be nearby but captain said something about 36 miles.  Maybe the wind doesn’t take them towards other islands.

Madison is the MVP, putting up with all the bullshit and keeping quiet to protect their tips.

Jenna and Adam, lame as usual.  She just wants it and he’s denying her.  She’s going to be bitterly disappointed.

It would be pretty evil if the producers got Georgia and Paget to flirt, to cause some drama and mess with Ciara a bit.  Or that’s how they sold it to get them to play along for the show.

biakbiak

Is the extent of Jenna’s arranging things reading TripAdvisor?

With a 45 year old’s face. She proves my only-half-joking theory that a weak chin = a weak character.

2 hours ago, MVFrostsMyPie said: But on a serious note, this would be such a nightmare to experience.

Agree! I found myself getting a little stressed out watching their crazy amounts of entitlement and simmering rage. When those women went back to the boat with these creepy thugs, I was pretty shocked. They’re essentially trapped on that boat!

It’s so strange to me that this group would book an Ionian charter. Corfu has party spots but in general is chiller than, say, Mykonos or Santorini. Did they not do their research or were they specifically wanting to be on the show? It’s weird to me.

Same.  I realized this week that Madison is from the Detroit area and a fellow Michigan State Spartan but it wasn't until she mentioned her sister's murder that I realized why her surname was familiar. Such a sad story, made worse because no one has been charged.

Crazy to me that no one else got up to help.  You know they heard the DJ. No one should have to put up with being manhandled.

Hate Jenna & Adam, can't wait til he makes her cry.

whatever Paget was doing on the damaged boat did not look like a 40k repair job.

Can someone who understands boats explain how that happened and how the crew could have prevented it? Was incompetence involved or just bad luck?

Mr. Miner

Apparently Jenna learned how to be a chief stew from Hannah. They both suck!

After Madison was man handled, the captain, is their a captain on this boat? the captain should have turned the boat around and taken these meatheads back to the harbor, thrown them off and kept their money.

They had a little clip of the crew loading a bunch of champagne bottles into the cooler, saying "they requested a lot of champagne."

Which makes me wonder, is there an extra charge for excessive or expensive booze? I remembered on an earlier season where a particular tequila was requested.

I do not find Jenna attractive at all. I know that's superficial but I'm just so tired of these Below deck shows making hooking up such a thing with the guys going ga-ga but then can't seem to find any true knockouts to cast. I think Hannah's pretty, Kates okay attractive and can clean up nice, Courtney from last season was aight. Malia was rather attractive and had some really good moments. Amy was also rather pretty as well as Rhylee. But I mean, the way the men who end up hooking up or having crushes or "going on dates" with whichever one agrees swoon and get moony always makes my eyes roll sooooooo ridiculously far back into my head. And the hook ups don't even happen with the one's that I mentioned (aside from Malia and Courtney). Sure Hannah hooked up with Conrad but he was hardly swooning over her. I'm just so over all the drama and longing and awkward crushes over chicks that really don't impress. I mean not for the level of dysfunction it creates. Eye of the beholder and all that and of course I understand a woman doesn't have to look like a Victoria Secret Model to be found attractive but I'm talking about how exaggerated these guys get over these HOHUM broads to the point of distraction. Now Rhylee and Tyler (almost) got it right. They found each other attractive and was all about the banging. They weren't gushing all over each other, it wasn't some whirlwind romance. They were feeling each other and got down to business. Too bad Tyler did the typical dude thing and overthought things and acted like Rhylee was proposing marriage because of a off hand comment about combining both their sea knowledge. But still. I find the "deep connection, strong attraction" angle so very corny and immature. I don't mind seeing them connecting and getting to know each other but I can't stand the automatic soul mate narrative, behavior that gets thrown around. Stop pretending that ya'll are trying to create something that going to last after the season is over by littering PDA's all over the place. Get your attraction under control. Act on it when appropriate and for all that is holy don't try to package it as some beautiful blossoming romance that you guys are going to be able tell your grandkids about. These delusion grate on my nerves.

I questioned Paget's judgment in having Ciara work late the first night and go by herself to pick up a boatload of drunken charter guests in the middle of the night...was so glad that Parker volunteered to work the next night.

I know nothing about boats of this type and size, but it seems to me that they moor the boat by letting out the anchors, and one of the anchors had shifted a bit which allowed the boat to hit the dock.  Does that sound right?

Apparently the port-side bow anchor either dragged or worked itself loose. That left enough slack for the boat to drift toward the dock if the wind picked up. What Ciara could have done as a temporary fix would have been to throw a fender or two over the stern to keep the boat from hitting the dock. That wouldn't be a long-term fix but would have given her time to find some deck crew to re-set the anchor.

That was 1942 tequila - the same that these assholes were pounding back like swill.

I know nothing about boats but my initial thought was - can't she throw down one of those padded thingies?

The editing of Paget repairing the damage also cracked me up.  It was like - oh an hour before charter, it's still all patched looking and then TA DA it looks perfect.  Do boats carry spare paint with them for such emergencies?

I had such a physical reaction to the scene with Madison being manhandled. I was sooooooooooo disappointed when I noticed that Parker was distracted with the other guest and didn't see it at all. I really wanted to see what his knee jerk reaction to that would have been. Not only that but to be able to truly relate to Madison afterwards being that he would have experienced it as a witness. It takes on another form when you see something with your own eyes happen right in front of you. It would have been an eye opening moment for Parker. Not saying that Parker is a person that needs such a lesson but just in general. I think in order to really truly get men as allies in this cause they really need to see it in its raw form. Just how matter of fact it presents itself in any given situation just like that.

I just tuned in and haven't seen the first few episodes and it seems like Parker isn't anyone's favorite on that boat but since this episode and half of the last one is what I have to go on I have to say I like Parker so far. I'm especially pleased with how he suggested that he be put on the night watch instead of Ciara, recognizing that the men may very well be behaving badly so it would be better for him to take the shift. I thought that was very commendable and thoughtful. His foresight in that situation was rather professional and mature as well.

I hated how disgusting the men were. That guy being so defiant afterwards expressing a very threatening demeanor. "Don't tell anyone", "What's she gonna do call the Greek police". Basically saying, she's helpless and can't do a damn thing and he seemed pleased with that whole narrative. It sounded like he was revealing in the fact that he is able to violate the women on board with no argument or repercussions. That's shit hit me hard even at home. How repulsive and terrifying. Also, notice how the other charter asked Madison if she was ok when they went inside to get more drinks but it was in a tone that was more like "you good? Good, glad we understand each other" it was him feeling out her mood and then a reiteration on his part that she needs to play along and not go complaining to anyone. I totally caught that and it was a quick but very intimidating moment. She did what a lot of women do and have done for decades and decades. What we've been trained to do which is let it roll off her back, play it off, and not "overreact".  That shit pissed me off so bad.

Oh and let me add, she's much better than me cause that dude would have gotten an elbow to the neck the minute he lifted me up. NO AMOUNT OF MONEY is worth that and we really need stop pushing the idea that customers, clients, guests etc. are allowed to get whatever they want if they are paying for a service or product. In ALL industries. No, our million dollar client at our law firm DOES NOT get to behave lewdly around me just because we are all in some casual setting and I'm the only female in the room while the rest are having some harmless fun with some raunchy talk. No, the paying customer at Walmart does not get to disrespectfully invade my personal space while asking for a particular item. No, the guest staying in the Presidential Suite at the Hilton does not get to address me like their personal slave as I perform my duties cleaning the room and restocking items.

We need to stop making bad behavior something that is acceptable when in the context of business transactions and money exchange. That's the biggest problem right there. We've made it okay for people to treat business as some sort of safe zone for degrading disrespect. It's not only in the service industry either. It's in any business. The client has enough money and that equals "anything goes" and that needs to stop. I shouldn't have to worry about my job because at the end of the day a business "can't afford" to have dissatisfied customers no matter how inappropriate these customers behave. But that's the world we live in and it sucks waaaaaayyyyy more for woman because of these parameters.

Out of all the charter guests I've seen on the various versions of BD, this group of fuckwits was far and away the absolute worst.  And that says something.

Were I the captain and I found out this was going on (the manhandling, the drunken behavior, the destruction), I'd turn that boat right around and tell them their sail is over and GTF off my boat.

I doubt these guys will tip well but even if they did, Madison deserves an inordinately large share of the tip.  She's up dealing with their drunken bullshit, cleaning after them, cooking, while the rest of the crew is asleep.

Jenna is the most worthless chief stew ever.  (Congrats, Hannah!  You've been unseated.)  Does she do anything chief stew-wise besides serve?  And does she even tell the guests what they're eating?  She seems to take the best schedule for herself (i.e., not working lates) and order Madison and Georgia around while she's busying making cow eyes at Adam in the galley.   Georgia isn't great either but she has absolutely zero direction from Jenna.

With each episode, I like Parker more and more.  Paget seems so annoyed by Parker asking questions.  I don't get it  Asking questions is better than doing it wrong or doing nothing at all.

who pays for the DJ they brought back, and the extra food and booze the "girls" were consuming? And poor Parker having to cleanup up vomit from a non-guest for *&^&% sake.

Yeah, having been to Corfu, Mykonos and Santorini, the former seems like the crappier place to party. But what do I know? If I was on a sailboat in the Med, I wouldn’t even bother going onshore to party.

Maybe that would be because you would be there to enjoy the whole experience - the boat, the views, the surroundings and being on the water.

These idiots just are interested in getting shit-faced drunk, showing off what "big" men they are, throwing their money around and picking up girls/hookers, again, to throw their money around.  Little dicks, little brains, little self-esteem - all wrapped up in big bravado.  If they didn't have each other to play off of, I wonder if they would act differently.

Is this the story?

Seems like the anchor wasn't secure so the ship drifted and the anchor dragged so they lifted the anchor and replanted it?

Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher Unpacks ‘Below Deck Sailing Yacht’ Season 3 Ahead of Finale

Daisy Kelliher in Below Deck Sailing Yacht - Season 3

Daisy Kelliher started Season 3 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht with the mindset that she wasn’t going to take any “you know what” from anyone. That proved challenging for the chief stew as she ventured through turbulent waters aboard Parsifal III.

The luck of the Irish wasn’t always smiling on Kelliher as she managed professional and personal conflicts within her department, initially between second stew Gabriela Barragan and third stew Ashley Marti. That was until the environment was too much for Barragan, which led to Scarlett Bentley filling the position as a junior stew.

Adding to the drama was first mate Gary King , whose flirty ways didn’t make things any easier. With wedding bells ringing for guests on the final charter and the season finale on the horizon, we caught up with Daisy to unpack what we’ve seen so far and to get some burning questions answered.

Pretty crazy that the crew had to plan for a wedding with so little time.

Daisy Kelliher: It was definitely a lot. At the same time, I’ve been doing this for 10 years, so I was kind of like, “Whatever, we’re going to either do it or not.” I’ve reached a point in my career where stressing about it won’t help. I have confidence. We can only do what we can do within 24 hours, but it turned out to be pretty incredible.

Gary was at the center of a lot of the issues you faced in your department. Looking back, how difficult was that?

I think I came in pretty confident and went in with a way I wanted to handle everything. It did not work. People are going to do what they are going to do. The Gary part was very difficult for me because I feel like I really pushed his support away last season. I tried to take a different approach with him this time. I tried to be softer. It didn’t seem like either approach worked. It was a massive struggle within my team, but it was a great learning curve and growth for me. Me and Gary, I think had a better relationship this season. It’s not all Gary. It’s the girls too. Work-wise the girls were incredible, but it wasn’t about work all the time.

Do you feel like you could have done anything differently to prevent Gabriela from leaving mid-season?

I see the comments. I know a lot of people feel it was my problem or issue with Gabriela crumbling. I don’t agree with that. I stand by the fact I did my absolute best. Gabriela is the same age as me. I think it was a lot in her head. Someone may be a bit paranoid or feel that everyone is against them, but there is not much I can say or do. It was a personal inner growth she needed to work on.

Captain Glenn Shephard Talks Tense Situation in 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' Season 3

You certainly had your share of difficult charter guests. Erica Rose came back. Then you had a very demanding charter with Dr. Kim Nichols. How was it reliving these experiences?

Nobody believes me, but it was actually worse in real life than on the edited, compressed [version]. People experienced that for an hour. We got a full three days of it. Rewatching it was funny. They are not awful people. Everyone has a good heart. Them screaming my name as I ran around, maybe they didn’t realize the impact. I’m a human as well. I don’t know how they felt watching. I look back and laugh because I can’t believe I lived through it and that happened. It was all a bit surreal.

Ashley felt she should have been higher up on the stew hierarchy. It came up again when Scarlett came on board and you decided to make both junior stews. Did it make you rethink having a second and third stew?

I think it was important for me to show the girls we are a team. I did try to explain to Ashley, which didn’t get aired, that in the yachting industry the only reason we have a second stew is to have a platform to move forward. It’s motivational, but it’s not there to boss people around or be above someone else. It was important to me that she understood that by the end of the season. It massively made me think about what I’m going to do next time. Maybe I’ll make everyone a junior stew.

When it comes to your relationship with Gary, everyone seems to chime in including Captain Glenn Shephard . What do you make of the infatuation between you two?

I knew at the time during the season that my big storyline was going to be me and Gary. I very much predicted what story was going to be told. The people behind the scenes explained that the chemistry between us was so intense. The whole boat could feel it. I was prepared for what was going to happen. I was surprised with how obsessed everyone is with us being a couple. I thought everyone would be against it. We are just friends. I hate to tell everyone that, but there is nothing more to it. Just very flirtatious.

For now. Never say never. Last year there was no way I would have said I was going to kiss him. So that was surprising.

Do you feel seeing him flirting with all the girls was the turnoff?

Massively. I was the first girl in the first season he hit on. It didn’t air, but I brushed him off straight away. Other people commented saying since I didn’t give him that attention, he looked for it elsewhere. I thought that was an interesting point. Fair enough, but as soon as he went off with Sydney [Zaruba] and Alli [Dore] and now Ashley and Gabriela — yeah, maybe things would have ended differently if he continued to pursue me, but he didn’t. We’ll never know.

How would you sum up the season?

I thought it was hard to top season 2 because so much happened. This season has been such a roller coaster of emotions. So much happened in season 3. For me, it was a lot of ups and downs. Like last season, the aim for me was to come out on a high with a strong team and loving friendship. It was a massive success. That’s the fun in the show, having the audience come with us. There were points where maybe they thought, “Are we going to make it? Is the boat going to make it?” We finish on a big high, which you will see in the finale.

What can we expect from the reunion?

I think people took accountability in the reunion. It’s good to talk about the incidents during the season, but it was all good. I think we’re all still talking to each other.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Recap: Colin the Hero

Below deck sailing yacht.

below deck sailing yacht oof i did it again guests

Another episode without Gary is a bummer, but I’m pleasantly surprised that the crew has been on good behavior despite the mountain of issues already coming its way (sloppy guests, the engine, and no first officer). Even Mads, who seems to be here more for the partying than work, is completing her tasks to stay on Daisy’s good side.

We pick up where last week’s episode left off: with Captain Glenn and Colin figuring out how to get out of their broken engine situation. Since the season isn’t going to be short-lived, they end up taking it into their own hands and try to fix it themselves. Captain Glenn informs the guests that the boat won’t be leaving the dock again, adding that they’ll still be able to spend the day at a nearby beach. It’s not like they have abundant options!

As the crew prepares for the beach excursion, a montage captures a stressed-out Captain Glenn making phone calls as he tries to find a supplier for the parts needed to get the boat patched up. I feel for him; all he wants to do is sail and give guests a good experience! As if he doesn’t already have enough on his plate, the guests invite him to join them for dinner, which he accepts graciously.

As they get ready to leave in the tender, the guests request ice for their cocktails, but Alex isn’t able to find it amongst the several coolers required to keep the drinks flowing. This escalates into a big situation, with Captain Glenn radioing Daisy, who is complaining about work to Colin in the crew mess, to bring more ice. She frustratingly runs out on the deck and informs him that it’s in the boat, which sets him off and causes him to yell at her. Daisy was ultimately right, though, because the ice was in a cooler sitting in the tender all along.

Chase and Lucy are tasked with going to the beach, where Chase keeps encouraging her as they set up the chairs and water toys. “Chase is not annoying; he’s just so positive,” Lucy says in a confessional. She adds, “We’re just so opposite. Moaning gets me through life.” Everyone adores Chase and his “Southern charm,” including the guests, who are impressed that he’s doing several tasks simultaneously. Chase seems to try a bit too hard to be liked at times, but he was really working his ass off in this episode. The guy needs some sleep! Back on the boat, Lucy, staying true to her clumsy personality, drops a tray of glassware in the kitchen and cries. “I feel like this boat is ruining me,” she says. Honey, it’s only going to get worse from here.

Immediately after the plastered guests return to the  Parsifal , they ask for espresso martinis for what seems like the tenth time that day. Sitting at the hot tub, the guest named Karen voices what we’ve all been thinking, “It’s one thing to not be able to sail without wind, but you don’t check your engines before somebody comes on? That’s on you.” Agreed, but at least it’s keeping us occupied.

Later, a miracle finally happens in the engine room. Using his impressive experience of having previously fixed damaged boats, Colin gets the water out of the engine, so the boat is now up and running to an extent. “I don’t know many engineers that would take this on, but it kind of excites me in a way,” he shares. Everyone is “stoked,” and I am too. We are in desperate need of some action. “Colin’s always been a legend, but he’s just gone up three notches in my eyes,” Captain Glenn says, speaking for all of us. What would we do without him???

Given that the boat’s lack of sailing makes for an uneventful trip, this episode really leans into laying out a web of possible boatmances. “Historically, my dating profile would be brunettes with nice teeth,” Alex tells us, essentially describing himself. Instead, he has to make do with what he’s got, which is three blondes. Meanwhile, Mads places importance on personality but doesn’t mind as long as the crew knows how to “screw.” She has the yachtie mentality down to a T. Foreshadowing what occurs the next day, we see Daisy and Alex flirting in the crew mess as he helps clean wine glasses. “I really do enjoy looking at him,” Daisy admits. Girl, same.

On turndown duty, Lucy is immediately horrified by the state of the bedrooms, which somehow look worse than they did in the morning. I, too, am disgusted. The carpet and bed sheets are stained with blood, and clothes are scattered everywhere. “I’m not your fucking maid,” she says in a confessional before realizing that her job is to clean up after nasty people.

Remember what I said about chef Ileisha’s bad time management possibly haunting her in the kitchen? Well, as Scheana Shay’s Penny Lane tattoo says,  it’s all happening . While prepping for dinner, she seems overwhelmingly stressed, which she says stems from her perfectionist tendencies. Though everyone enjoys the food, the hammered and exhausted guests grow annoyed by the long wait between courses, which is caused by Ileisha’s overthinking and indecisiveness. Seriously, she takes ages to figure out how to cut and plate a piece of steak. Also, if I recall correctly, the guests had requested that this meal have truffles on everything. Yet, only one dish features it. Fortunately for Ileisha, the guests are so out of it that they probably can’t remember what’s on their preference sheet.

Departure day finally arrives the following morning. Before they go on their merry way, the primary and Karen — who somewhat lives up to her name’s stereotype — pull Captain Glenn aside for a chat. They inform him that they had a horrible trip and call out the interior for being a “hot mess” because they didn’t provide toilet paper and towels. Look, I get it; you didn’t end up getting what you paid a discounted price for. But I really do think Daisy and the stews were trying their best, given how messy and demanding these ladies ended up being. It’s also still the first charter, so it was never going to be perfect. While this is happening, the other guests seated in the saloon discuss chipping in to raise the tip because neither the primary nor Karen “wanted to give extra money.” I swear, my jaw dropped.

After the guests leave, Daisy reassures Lucy and Mads that they worked as hard as possible and will have to make it their goal to improve the quality of service. Captain Glenn then calls for the first tip meeting of the season. Much to everyone’s pleasant surprise (myself included), he announces that the guests left a $19,100 tip, which comes down to 2,105 euros per person. Despite the complaints, Captain Glenn has nothing but praise for the crew, shouting out Colin for literally saving the season and thanking the deckies and stews for doing a great job.

With the charter behind us, it’s time for shit to get real because the first crew night out has arrived! To celebrate, Captain Glenn has organized a dinner for the crew, and everyone is thrilled to have some time off to drink. “I am mad at the boat; me and the boat aren’t friends right now. I quickly remembered why I drink so much,” Daisy says in a confessional. Later in the evening, Alex says that drunk Daisy is his “spirit animal.” I love this for her.

Dinner, which allows everyone to get to know one another better — we find out that Lucy graduates from school soon and that Chase once made a four-day road trip around Ireland — essentially serves as an appetizer for the more messy, alcohol-fueled main course that is partying on the boat. We all know that’s where all the actual magic (Read: drama) happens. Colin opts out of getting “shitfaced” because he wants to be on his A-game for the next charter, and I have to respect that.

As the champagne flows and the crew gets wild in the hot tub, the editors masterfully cut to a shot of Captain Glenn tucked away in bed reading a book. Daisy and Mads share a kiss, and Daisy and Alex dance before he kisses her on the cheek. “You’re so pretty doing your thing in the hot tub,” he tells Daisy, who doesn’t appear to be aware of what planet she’s on. Alex tells Chase, “I kinda love Daisy. I also love Mads. Whoever gets there first…” He’s shaping up to be Gary 2.0.

The episode concludes with the group deciding to play truth or dare, which leads to Alex making out with Daisy, then with Mads, and then with Daisy again. Oof. Chase, whose biggest red flag so far is the eagle tattooed across his chest, gets dared to kiss Lucy, who moments before was telling Mads that she “cannot do Chase” because he’s “too American.”

Thankfully, it seems like Gary will be coming back to shake things up next week. But I’m mostly just hoping that we get to see Captain Glenn do what he does best: Impress the guests with his chaotic sailing.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 has been one of the most long-awaited in franchise history, but the show may not return despite previous reports due to Gary King’s poor behavior . The Below Deck franchise has several shows that follow yachties in their lives working aboard luxurious vessels as they take Captain’s orders and serve charter guests. There’s always a layer of drama beneath the surface. From crew to crew, different dynamics become prevalent and create all sorts of issues, from romantic problems to interpersonal squabbles. Below Deck Sailing Yacht has become one of the most interesting Below Deck shows.

Although Below Deck Sailing Yacht has several seasons under its belt, the show has been struggling since its last season. With its last season, Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 , having come out well over a year ago, many have been wondering where the next season of the series is. Unfortunately, the Parsifal III’s Gary has made some questionable choices in the past. With serious allegations of sexual misconduct coming out after the last season of the series, could be the reason the show is delayed or canceled. After some false hope, could Below Deck Sailing Yacht be gone forever ?

Below Deck Sailing Yacht’s Logo Was Featured In A Bravo Promo

The show was considered dead.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 was considered dead by many fans of the franchise, but there was a bit of hope. When the logo of the series was featured on Bravo, it seemed the already-filmed fifth season could be surfacing soon . In a promo revealing what shows would be coming to the network this fall, Below Deck Sailing Yacht ’s logo was prominently featured alongside shows previously confirmed to be coming back by the network. Although there was no formal confirmation from the network about the show, many took the promo as a clear indicator it would be returning.

20 Best Reality TV Shows Right Now

Reality TV is more popular than ever. With so many to choose from, here are some of the best reality TV shows to stream or watch right now.

While Below Deck Sailing Yacht is one of the more popular series in the franchise, things have been particularly difficult to discuss after Bravo chose to mostly ignore Gary’s sexual misconduct allegations. Many believed that they would just quietly cancel the series rather than address the issues , releasing themselves from the responsibility of dealing with Gary’s behavior . With the promo featuring the Below Deck Sailing Yacht logo, many were shocked to see that the series would likely be returning even after facing such an enormous scandal.

Some Have Noticed The Logo Has Been Removed

It may have been added in error.

While the logo for Below Deck Sailing Yacht was originally in the promo about what was coming to Bravo this fall, some viewers who have seen the promo run since noticed that it’s been removed. Now, a version of the promo without a Below Deck Sailing Yacht logo entirely has been airing on the network, confusing viewers. Many are wondering if the original promo was a mistake, and Below Deck Sailing Yacht isn’t returning at all , while others are assuming it could just mean there’s another delay with the next season of the series.

Could Below Deck Sailing Yacht Be Over?

Gary’s actions changed the trajectory of the series.

Some BDSY viewers are convinced that the series will still be returning at an indeterminate time, but others are certain that Gary’s actions changed the trajectory of the series and it’s now come to an end . While Gary has vehemently denied the allegations against him, some Below Deck Sailing Yacht viewers have shared that they believe the victim and could see Gary committing some terrible acts. While it’s possible the promo did indicate the return of Below Deck Sailing Yacht , it seems more likely that Gary’s behavior has pushed the show off course, causing it to drift out to sea.

'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' Is Returning for Season 5 After Gary's Scandal

Below Deck Sailing Yacht is coming back for season 5 after Gary King's sexual misconduct scandal.

Bravo announced on Monday, September 16, that the next season reunites Captain Glenn Shephard , chief stew Daisy Kelliher and Gary as they spend their charter season in Ibiza. The rest of the cast includes chef Cloyce Martin , chef engineer Davide Morosi , stews Diana Cruz , Danni Warren and deckhands Keith Allen and Emma Crouch .

The upcoming installment comes more than one year after Below Deck Sailing Yacht wrapped up its fourth season on Bravo in July 2023.

Gary's future as a cast member has been up in the air, however, since a production assistant from the show accused him of making unwanted advances while filming season 4.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht's Biggest Drama Through the Years

In a Rolling Stone exposé, which was published in October 2023, Samantha Suarez and other former employees, who asked to remain anonymous, accused Bravo of allegedly helping cover up Gary's inappropriate behavior.

"It was insane. There were multiple incidents of sexual harassment in front of multiple producers after this person had been given verbal warnings multiple times," one of the accusers alleged. "I had to promote and make this guy who just assaulted someone look awesome. That was my job, to make this person look cool, capable and exciting."

Samantha recalled being asked to look after Gary when he allegedly got drunk. Once filming wrapped, Samantha remained with Gary in his hotel room before he tried to stop her from leaving by pressing himself against her. Samantha alleged that Gary refused to let her leave until she started to fight back.

According to Samantha, she alerted producers about the incident , who told Gary to sleep on the boat on days when the crew wasn't filming as a way to keep him out of the hotel.

Former 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' Stars: Where Are They Now?

Bravo addressed the allegations in a statement to Rolling Stone , saying, "Bravo is committed to maintaining a safe and respectful workplace for cast and crew on our reality shows. We require our third-party production companies to have appropriate workplace policies and trainings in place and a clear process on how to report concerns. The concerns Ms. Suarez raised in July 2022 were investigated at that time and action was taken based on the findings."

Gary has maintained his innocence since news broke about the claim. "I know [that I did nothing wrong], and I know the truth but it still hurts when people will tell lies to bring you down," he replied to a fan via Instagram one month later.

In the aftermath, Gary didn't appear at BravoCon in November 2023 despite initially being announced as a guest. He has since stated that he wasn't ruling out a Below Deck Sailing Yacht return.

A Guide to 'Below Deck' and Its Many Spinoffs

Gary replied to several Instagram users in December 2023 who reminded him there's a "life after" Below Deck .

"I hope so, will have to see but will definitely be trying to stay on peoples tv screens ," Gary wrote back. In a separate comment, Gary maintained that he would return to reality TV, adding, "I will do and hopefully be back on your screens, everyday I'm trying to better myself so hopefully if they ask me back you'll see this."

The Below Deck universe is one of the popular franchises on Bravo. Fans have been clamoring for the trailer for Below Deck Sailing Yacht following the major breakdown of Daisy Kelliher and Gary King ‘s short-lived romance last season. Now, it’s finally here, and the trailer teases everything viewers want — drama, romance, and breaking the rules with the guests.

As fans of Below Deck Sailing Yacht know, each season of the show takes place in a different location. Now in its fifth season, the show is set in Ibiza. Season four of the show was set in Italy. This new season comes after Gary was accused of sexual assault.

The new season of Below Deck Sailing Yacht seems like a good time based on the trailer, which comes exclusively from E! News . As it begins, Daisy can be heard saying, “Going into this season, I got rid of some dead weight. The breakup did a number on me last year. I felt very broken. But now, I’m coming back in more focused, full of energy and I’m f–king good at my job. And I’m taking back the reigns.”

Of course, she is referencing her breakup with Gary. She then counters the previous statement by saying, “It’s gonna be a s–t show.”

The trailer then teases a bit of work-related drama as she says to Gary, “Guess what? We have a f–king job to do, and I’m not f–king carrying this season on my own, you f–king prick!”

Naturally, the season isn’t only about the failed romance between Daisy and Gary. The trailer also shows the crew getting a bit too friendly with the guests. Captain Glenn Shephard , who is clearly upset, can be seen reprimanding the crew after having too many drinks with the guests.

He says, “You guys went out with some guests, I set some ground rules. Two drinks maximum. You knew the rules, you broke the f–king rules, and now you’re here getting upset.”

This season also welcomes some new faces. There’s Chef Cloyce Martin , Chief Engineer Davide Morosi , Stew Diana Cruz , Stew Danni Warren , and Emma Crouch as the deckhand.

Fans can watch the premiere of season five of Below Deck Sailing Yacht on October 7.

Bravo fans have been waiting a very long time for news about Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5, and the network has finally delivered.

Not only did Bravo just drop a brand-new trailer for the fifth season of the hotly-anticipated reality TV show, the network also confirmed precisely when Below Deck Sailing Yacht will return.

Until today, fans of Below Deck Sailing Yacht weren't quite sure the spin-off of Below Deck would return for a fifth season, as the last episode of Season 4 aired way back in July 2023.

Editor's note: This article contains brief mentions of sexual assault, abuse, or other related topics that could be triggering for some readers and survivors. In late June, one viewer asked Reddit users if Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 was ever going to happen, and even as recently as this summer, fans weren't sure the show was returning.

In that thread, BDSY fans speculated that Season 5 was delayed due to allegations involving First Officer Gary King.

As we previously reported, Season 4 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht featured a wild "love triangle" between Gary, Chief Stewardess Daisy Kelliher , and Chief Engineer Colin MacRae:

"Many things influenced the relationship between Daisy and Colin, but one name was the most prominent: Gary King. "Daisy, Colin, and Gary's entanglement reached a boiling point that got the three in public arguments and name-calling, and at the end, estranged."

A month after Season 4 concluded with a two-part reunion in July 2023, Rolling Stone published an in-depth article , "'Below Deck' Accused of Covering Up Gary King’s Sexual Misconduct," rocking the show's audience.

It reported in part:

"Bravo’s Below Deck was recently lauded for its handling of sexual misconduct when a producer on Below Deck Down Under broke the 'fourth wall' and intervened when one cast member, Luke Jones, tried to get into bed naked with another cast member, Margot Sisson, without her consent while she was inebriated and passed out. Not only was Luke fired from the show, but their fellow cast member and stewardess, Laura Bileskalne, was also let go because of victim-blaming comments she made to Margot about the incident and her own line-crossing pursuit of deckhand Adam Kodra. [...] "Samantha Suarez, who first joined Below Deck in the makeup department on Season 10 of the show, tells Rolling Stone that cast member Gary King tried to force himself on her during production of Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season Four, which filmed in Sardinia, Italy, in the summer of 2022."

Fans speculated that Season 5 was delayed due to extensive retooling, but Bravo eventually confirmed the return of Below Deck Sailing Yacht, with a trailer that centers Daisy.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5's Release Date And Trailer

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 Trailer

On September 16, Bravo finally released the Below Deck Sailing Yacht trailer.

Bravo shared the clip on Instagram and Twitter/X, to the surprise of fans:

Posts teased the crew's visit to the notoriously riotous destination of Ibiza, and the trailer kicked off with some remarks from Daisy.

Daisy is the first crew member to speak in the trailer, and she addresses the unwieldy love triangle of Season 4:

"Going into this season, I got rid of some dead weight. The breakup did a number on me last year. I felt very broken. "But now, I'm coming back in more focused, full of energy, and I'm f*****g good at my job. And I'm taking back the reins."

Immediately thereafter, the clip cuts to a cabin, where Daisy tells an in-bed Gary that she refuses to "carry this season," before cutting back to newer footage of Daisy laughing and predicting:

This is gonna be a s*** show.

Then the video shifts to Ibiza, where a voiceover describes it as the world's "party capital," and scenes are interspersed with a lot of breaking glass.

Gary (who has not been let go from the franchise) makes an appearance, and the soundbite chosen for the trailer is bizarre given the allegations levied at him last year:

If the guests don't have a good time, we're clearly doing something very wrong.

As the trailer winds down, one of the crew members (likely Deckhand Keith Allen) muses that "Daisy would make a very good wife."

The trailer wraps with an apparent firing, as well as what appears to be a scene during which the crew veers uncomfortable close to another vessel at sea, at night.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 debuts on Bravo on October 7 at 9PM Eastern, and streams on Peacock the following day.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 Trailer Revealed: ‘Cheers To Being Dramatic’

Batten down the hatches. The trailer for Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 just arrived. It’s messy, and as expected, we will soon see the faces of Daisy Kelliher and Gary King back onboard. When these two yachties last saw each other, they were at odds, and as Season 5 teases, not much has changed.

The Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 Trailer looks promising, in all the messy, dramatic ways

“Going into this season, I got rid of some dead weight ,” Daisy explains at the start of the trailer. “The breakup did a number on me last year. I felt very broken. But now, I’m coming back in more focused, full of energy, and I f*cking good at my job. And I’m taking back the reigns,” she quips, like a boss bish.

“It’s gonna be a sh*t show,” Daisy continues, as the cameras expertly cut to her yelling at Gary, the literal definition of her words. “Guess what? We have a f*cking job to do, and I’m not f*cking carrying this season on my own, you f*cking prick!”

Luckily for Daisy, a new beau is onboard to help distract her from last season’s love triangle mess . Deckhand Keith Allen catches her eyes, and it seems her affections are shared, as Keith asks Gary, “Daisy would make a good wife. No?”

Gary laughs. But Captain Glenn Shephard is not laughing, as several beats later, his crew entertains their charter guests a bit too hard on land.

“You guys went out with some guests. I set some ground rules. Two drinks maximum. You knew the rules, you broke the f*cking rules, and now you’re here, getting upset,” a frustrated Captain Glenn tells his team, as Daisy later states that she is “f*cking done.”

There’s also blood , broken dishes, a fire, and lots more. But sadly, there is no Colin MacRae .

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 premieres on Monday, October 7 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
