FIRST LOOK: Superyacht MATSU Completes Refit

Fresh from a comprehensive exterior refit, the speedy 36m/120ft ISA motor yacht MATSU now features a new-look hull and superstructure, with her mast and domes changing from a white to a sleek shade of black.
Originally delivered as part of the Italian shipyard's ISA 120' range in 2007, MATSU 's 3-week transformation saw her hull and superstructure wrapped in 3M’s White Aluminium film, with her mast and domes being finished with 3M’s Black Gloss Film.
A team of 8 fitters at Wild Group International completed the works on the yacht, which can reach an impressive top speed of 33 knots.
Thought to be remaining in the global charter fleet and available in the Balearics following a refit, superyacht MATSU sleeps as many as 8 guests in a spacious layout of four cabins. Her opulent, modern-themed interior was styled by the team at Cristiano Gatto Design.
Commenting on the successful transformation, Founder and Director of Wild Group International said “Matsu has been a great project. The team have worked incredibly hard and the boat is looking fantastic. From start to finish the project took a little under three weeks to complete, and what a difference it has made to her! The 3M foils leave a very good quality finish, and the White Aluminium juxtaposed with the Black Gloss for the detail works very well. She has been out on the water this week and I have to say, looking great. We are all very proud of the team.”

A Summary of Motor Yacht MATSU
The well proportioned superyacht MATSU is a motor yacht. This 36 m (120 ft) luxury yacht was created by Isa (International Shipyards Ancona) in 2007. The gracious superyacht was created with naval architects Isa Yachts and Andrea Vallicelli. Cristiano Gatto Design Team acted on the interior design.

The yacht's general design work came from Isa Yachts and Andrea Vallicelli. The professional naval architect plans are a creation of ISA Yachts Design. Motor Yacht MATSU received her elegant interior designing from the interior design firm of Cristiano Gatto Design Team. Created at Isa (International Shipyards Ancona) the yacht was constructed within Italy. She was officially launched in Ancona in 2007 before being handed over to the owner. Her core hull was built out of composite. The motor yacht main superstructure is fabricated for the most part from composite. With a beam of 7.4 m / 24.28 feet MATSU has reasonable room. A shallow draught of 1.3m (4.27ft) determines the amount of ports she can berth in, taking into account their minimum depth.

This yacht contains triple ample MTU diesel engine(s) and can touch a rousing maximum limit speed underway of around 34 knots. The engine of the MATSU generates 2000 horse power (or 1491 kilowatts). ISA Yachts (International Shipyards Ancona) was founded in late 1998 in Ancona, Italy and is now an esteemed brand of Palumbo Superyachts. Matsu measures 36.45 metres in length, with a max draft of 1.50 metres and a beam of 7.40 metres. Matsu has a GRP hull with a GRP superstructure. Her interior design is by Cristiano Gatto Design. Matsu also features naval architecture by ISA Yachts. Matsu is a semi-custom ISASPORT 120 model. The ISA 120 series is the smallest range of the company’s semi-custom range and features a collection of composite super yachts measuring 36.45 metres in length. Built in GRP by Italian superyacht yard ISA to a design by Andrea Vallicelli , Matsu was delivered in 2007 and is RINA classed and MCA compliant. A sumptuous interior by Christiano Gatto sleeps eight guests in a main deck master suite, a VIP suite a double and a twin, all with en suite facilities. Accommodation for a crew of up to six in three cabins is also provided. The master stateroom at main deck level even boasts its own Jacuzzi. There is full air conditioning and a sophisticated integrated entertainment system throughout the yacht. On the flybridge this stunning yacht has two king size double sun lounging beds to enjoy the weather during the day and there is a spacious seating area, wet bar, sink and electric barbecue for al fresco entertaining and dining.
