Cruise the Galapagos Islands like a royal aboard Grace Kelly’s honeymoon yacht: The M/Y Grace.

Guests who cruise aboard the m/y grace will experience the islands the way darwin did in the past: personally and privately, but with the added distinction, comfort and elegance of today..

Refined yet adventurous and agile, it’s no wonder Grace Kelly chose this ship for her royal honeymoon.

A Galapagos icon, our 18-Guest Camper & Nicholson yacht gives passengers a luxurious glimpse into its stellar history, including ownership by millionaire tycoons, the royalty of Monaco, and a stint in the British Navy during WWII.

With a focus on Galapagos immersion, the Grace offers expanded deck space, naturalist guides with 15+ years of experience, and itineraries crafted for maximum wildlife encounters.

M/Y Grace Galapagos Cruise itineraries

7 nights / 8 days itinerary - Beyond Darwin's Footsteps

M/Y Grace itinerary - Beyond Darwin's Footsteps

Saturday (Day 1) San Cristobal Island: Isla Lobos

AM - Today we fly to San Cristobal Island in the Galapagos in the morning. Flight time is just under two hours from the mainland. Upon arrival we board M/Y Grace where you will have lunch and a quick briefing en route to our first visitor sites: Isla Lobos.

PM - Lobos, lives up to its name of -Sea Lion Island- with its noisy population of frolicking and barking beasts. It lies just a short navigation north, up the west coast of San Cristobal, separated by a channel that forms an inviting lagoon.

This is where you'll have your first chance to share the water with a playful colony of the "wolves of the sea". From lobos we should have views of Kicker Rock, a spectacular formation that rises 152 meters (500 feet) out of the Pacific.

It takes the form of a sleeping lion, but from another angle you can see that the rock is split, forming a colossal tablet and, piercing the sea, a great chisel ready for etching.

After this visit you have time for a shower as we get ready for our welcome cocktail and our first formal briefing before dinner. (lunch, dinner)

Sunday (Day 2) Española Island: Punta Suarez & Gardner Bay

AM - Hood is the southernmost island of the archipelago, and is one of the most popular due to the breathtaking variation and number of fauna that inhabit the island.

In the morning we visit Punta Suarez where you will witness the largest variety of marine iguanas in the Galapagos, masked boobies and blue footed boobies nesting along the cliff’s edge, as well as the famous waved albatross.

PM - In the afternoon we visit Gardner Bay, a magnificent long white sandy beach, where colonies of sea lions laze in the sun, sea turtles swim offshore, and inquisitive mockingbirds boldly investigate new arrivals. (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Monday (Day 3) Floreana Island: Post Office Bay & Cormorant Point

AM - Floreana Island: Cormorant Point & Champion Islet Floreana has had a colorful history: Pirates, whalers, convicts, and a small band of somewhat peculiar colonists—a Baroness among them—who chose a Robinson Crusoe existence that ended in mystery and death.

We visit Post Office Bay, where in 1793 British whalers set up a barrel as the island‘s Post Office, to send letters home on passing ships. The tradition continues to this day, simply by dropping a post card into the barrel without a stamp.

PM - Afternoon visit to Punta Cormorant which offers two highly contrasting beaches; a green-olivine beach and an iron-red beach.

Between the two beaches is a salt lagoon frequented by flamingoes, pintails, stilts and other wading birds. Late afternoon snorkeling at Champion Islet, which is home to a myriad of marine species including a variety of pencil sea urchin, wrasses, angelfish and amberjacks. Look for sea lions, rays, white-tipped reef sharks, and sea turtles. (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Tuesday (Day 4) Santa Cruz Island: Highlands and The Charles Darwin Research Station

AM - Santa Cruz is the second largest island in the Galapagos and its capital, Puerto Ayora, is the economic center of the Islands. In the morning we visit the Charles Darwin Research Station to visit the Giant Tortoise and Land Iguana Breeding and Rearing Program. Here we used to find Lonesome George (now deceased), the last of his particular race of tortoise.

PM - In the afternoon we are off to the Highlands of Santa Cruz, where the dry coastal vegetation transitions to lush wet fields and forests overgrown with moss and lichens. Our destination is the Tortoise Reserve, where we will have chances see these animals in the wild, walk through lava tubes and see the Gemelos, twin collapsed craters. (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Wednesday (Day 5) Santa Cruz Island: Bachas Beach & Chinese Hat

AM - In the morning we visit Las Bachas, a sandy white-coral beach that is a major egg-laying site for sea turtles. The name Bachas refers to the remains of landing craft left here at the end of WWII. Ashore marine iguanas mingle with flamingos and other wading birds in another of the many super saline lagoons found in the Galapagos.

PM - Chinese Hat Islet, a fairly recent volcanic cone, has the shape of a down-facing Chinese hat for which it is named. On the rocky shoreline of nearby Santiago island, Galapagos penguins dot the coast. There is a small sea lion cove on the north shore, where boats anchor and land at the visitor site. Late afternoon snorkeling with sea lions and penguins and swimming opportunities in the cove. (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Thursday (Day 6) Rabida Island: Jervis & Santiago Island: Sullivan Bay

AM - Rabida Island, commonly known by its English name of Jervis, is unique for the very red color of the beach and cliffs, beneath which one can find gliding sea turtles and perched blue footed boobies.

A thick forest of Palo Santo trees sits back from the beach sheltering a yellow saltwater lagoon. Pelicans next in the thickets and brightly colored pink flamingoes graze the lagoon.

A sea lion colony likes to laze on the red sands of the beach. We hike up a tiny peninsula for a wonderful view of the beach and lagoon. Sea caves invite exploration further down the coast.

PM - Afternoon visit to Sullivan Bay, one of the most outstanding volcanic sites in the Galapagos. In the nearly 100 years since the Sullivan Bay Flow, only a few plants like Mollugo and Lava cacti have managed to take root in this harsh environment.

Oystercatchers can be seen fishing for crabs and mollusks in the tide pools of Sullivan Bay. After exploring the lava flow, there is swimming and snorkeling with playful sea lions off two small coraline beaches. (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Friday (Day 7) Bartolome Island.: Pinnacle Rock & Overlook & North Seymour Island

AM - In the morning we visit Bartolome Island, famous for Pinnacle Rock, where we will see Galapagos Penguins and sea lions. We will also hike a trail to Bartolome's summit where you will be rewarded with spectacular views of Pinnacle Rock and our beach, where the crystal blue waters of the bay cradle your yacht.

PM - Afternoon visit to North Seymour Island which is teaming with wildlife! Cliffs only a few meters high form the shoreline are home to swallow-tailed gulls. A tiny forest of silver-grey Palo Santo trees stands just above the landing, where a trail will take us to see sea lions, marine iguanas, blue footed boobies, pelicans, magnificent frigatebirds and land iguanas. (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Saturday (Day 8) Black Turtle Cove

AM - Today your Galapagos cruise comes to an end, but before we bid farewell to the Grace we visit Black Turtle Cove, a mangrove estuary on the northern shores of Santa Cruz Island.

We visit the cove via panga (local dinghy) but with the engines turned off. Many rays, sea turtles, pelicans and other wildlife live among the mangroves.

Next we return to the airport where we began our journey in the Galapagos for the flight back to the Ecuadorian mainland. (breakfast)

7 nights / 8 days itinerary - Following Darwin's Trail

M/Y Grace itinerary - Following Darwin's Trail

Saturday (Day 1) Baltra Island: Daphne Major

AM - This morning we fly to Baltra Island in the Galapagos. Flight time is just under 2 hours from the mainland. Upon arrival we board M/Y Grace where you will have lunch and a quick briefing en route to our first visitor site: Daphne Major Islet.

PM - We will circumnavigate Daphne Major Islet which is home to a variety of birds including Galapagos martins, blue footed boobies, nazca boobies, short eared owls, red billed tropic birds amongst others. (lunch, dinner)

Sunday (Day 2) Santa Fe And South Plaza Islands

AM - Morning visit to Santa Fe Island, home to one of the most beautiful and sheltered bays of the archipelago, and to some of the best snorkeling - with its crystal clear waters.

Certainly one of the best locations to see sea turtles, swim with sea lions and get a glimpse of the Galapagos White-tipped Shark. After a wet landing you will walk up to a nearby cliff to see the land iguanas through an area of Opuntia Cactus.

PM - Afternoon visit to South Plaza, one of the smallest yet most colorful islands in the Galapagos. Yellow land iguanas wander through bright red carpet weed, waiting from prickly pears to drop from green cactus.

Orange sally lightfoot crabs dot the blackened lava above the landing site, all surrounded by turquoise waters. We'll see swallow tailed gulls nesting along the up-tilted end of the tiny island, while red-billed tropicbirds, frigatebirds and shearwaters fly in dancing displays.

You''ll also have the chance to see blue footed boobies along the cliff's edge. (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Monday (Day 3) Genovesa Island: Prince Phillip'S Steps & Darwin Bay

AM - Tower Island could serve as a film set for a secret submarine base! The southern part of the island is an ocean-filled caldera ringed by the throat of a sizeable and mostly submerged volcano.

The island sits to the northwest, slightly removed from the Galapagos archipelago. It is also known as "Bird Island," which it lives up to in a spectacular way. Our first visit is to Prince Phillips Steps, the best Galapagos landing site to see red footed boobies, comically perched by wrapping big red feet around tiny branches.

We walk a short distance to seek out short eared owls preying on swarms of storm petrels. The snorkeling at the foot of the steps is amazing with large, brightly colored tropical fish taking on a neon quality against the black lava background.

PM - After lunch take time to kayak beside the walls of the sunken caldera before our afternoon visit to Darwin Bay, A gorgeous tidal grotto forms the backdrop to the gaggle of nesting and soaring seabirds birds and path leads up to the rookery cliffs for views of the bay and colonies of gulls, tropic birds and frigates. (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Tuesday (Day 4) Fernandina Island: Punta Espinosa & Isabela Island: Urbina Bay

AM - In the morning we visit Fernandina Island, home to La Cumbre volcano, which erupts frequently (most recently in May 2005). We visit Punta Espinoza, a narrow spit of land, where a number of unique species, such as marine iguanas, sea lions, flightless cormorants, herons, egrets and Galapagos hawks can be seen in close proximity.

PM - Afternoon visit to Urbina Bay, directly west of Isabela’s Volcano Alcedo, where we will make an easy, wet landing (a hop into a few inches of water).

We walk on a stretch of three miles (5 km) of the marine reef that has been uplifted by as much as 13 feet (4 meters) out of the water. A highlight of this excursion are the giant land iguanas and giant tortoises, as well as the opportunity to go snorkeling amongst marine creatures, or just relaxing on shore. (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Wednesdday (Day 5) Isabela Island: Tagus Cove & Punta Vicente Roca

AM - A morning visit to Tagus Cove on Isabela Island. A wooden stairway rises to the trail entrance and continues around Darwin Lake through a dry vegetation zone, and ends in a promontory formed by spatter cones.

The site provides spectacular views of our anchorage in the bay, as well as Darwin and Wolf Volcanoes. The green algae underwater pastures of the cove offer the chance to snorkel with marine iguanas, sea turtles, penguins and sea horses.

PM - In the afternoon we visit Punta Vicente Roca on Isabela Island. Snorkeling is incredible here as a result of the nutrient-rich waters of the Humboldt Current that bathe the western side of the archipelago. We will have a chance to see colorful fish, sea lions, penguins and sea turtles in the water. (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Thursday (Day 6) Santiago Island: Espumilla Beach & James Bay

AM - The short walk up the beach leads inland to a mangrove typically inhabited by Common stilts. Beyond the mangroves is a brackish lagoon where flocks of pink flamingos and white cheeked pintails wade in search of mollusks.

The trail passes over a tiny hilltop through a sparse Palo Santo forest before looping back to the beach. Galapagos finches and Vermilion fly catchers inhabit the area. The tuff formations that form the cliffs that surround the cove have created a natural sculptor gallery rising from the sea with formations including the Monk and Elephant Rock.

PM - Afternoon visit to James Bay, where we land on a black beach with intriguing eroded rock formations. A trail leads to a series of crystal-clear grottos with a natural bridge formed of broken lava tubes.

This is the best place in the Galapagos to see fur seals and equally best place to see samurai like marine iguanas feeding in tidal pools nearby. You will find a colony of sea lions here and Galapagos hawk frequent the area. Snorkeling offers encounters with Green Sea Turtles and tropical fish. (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Friday (Day 7) Santa Cruz Island: Highlands & Charles Darwin Research Station

AM - Santa Cruz is the second largest island in the Galapagos and its capital, Puerto Ayora, is the economic center of the Islands. In the morning we visit the Charles Darwin Research Station to visit the Giant Tortoise and Land Iguana Breeding and Rearing Program.

Here we used to find Lonesome George (now deceased), the last of his particular race of tortoise.

PM - Afternoon visit to the Highlands, where the dry coastal vegetation transitions to lush wet fields and forests overgrown with moss and lichens. Our destination is the Tortoise Reserve, where we will have chances see these animals in the wild. (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Saturday (Day 8) San Cristobal Island: Interpretation Center

AM - Today your Galapagos cruise comes to an end, but before we bid farewell to the Grace we visit the Galapagos National Park Visitor Centre that presents a comprehensive exhibit of the islands’ natural history, human interaction, ecosystems, flora & fauna.

From the Centre, a short trail arrives at Frigate Bird Hill, where both “magnificent-frigates” and “great-frigates” can be seen in the same colony. Next we return to the airport where we began our journey in the Galapagos for the flight back to the Ecuadorian mainland. (breakfast)

Cruise the Galapagos Islands in Style Aboard this Historical Luxury Yacht

my grace yacht

The 147-foot M/Y Grace boasts one of the most fascinating histories of any ship, not just in the Galapagos Islands, but in the world as a whole. She began life simply as Monica in the late 1920s in Southampton, England, under the ownership of Jacques “Santiago” Soulas, a Franco-Argentine tycoon. Over the next decade, the ship would change hands several times before being acquired in 1939 by the British Royal Navy to patrol the area around the Isle of Wight. The newly-named Rion was stripped of her elegance, structurally hardened, and outfitted with hardcore military weaponry. Twin Oerlikons (a.k.a. “Kamikaze Killers”) were mounted astride the bridge, a 12-pound rapid-fire guy was affixed to the forecastle, and a stern rack was added to hold 300-pound depth charges.

The ship was decommissioned after World War II, rechristened HMS Noir , and returned to her original builders, Camper & Nicholson International. The team worked hard in the ensuing years to refurbish the ship as a pleasure craft. In 1951, Greek shipping magnate, Aristotle Onassis, bought the ship, rechristened her Arion , and kept her in his stable of toys for several years. She was ultimately gifted as a wedding present to Prince Rainier and Princess Grace (Kelly) of Monaco. They hosted an array of lavish parties with some of the world’s most illustrious guests (Winston Churchill among them) before parting with her in 1958.

Decades on, the ship would travel throughout the eastern United States and the Caribbean  under numerous banners and owners. She was purchased in 2007 by Quasar Expeditions who, in a thoughtful nod to the princess, rechristened her the M/Y Grace . The company spent two full years retrofitting and restoring the ship to her former glory. Under the new banner, and with a healthy dose of modern comfort amenities in place, the ship now sails exclusive routes to and through the Galapagos Islands.

The roughly 25 guests on each eight-day sailing are free to explore Ecuador’s famous islands amid the stately elegance of a bygone sailing era. Every interior space is awash in rich wood paneling and flooring, custom tufted seating, and plush fabrics. Even the ship’s original wheel has been returned with the inscription “Deo Juvante” (the former name).

The ship’s diminutive size belies a host of creature comforts, including an intimate main saloon, a sun deck, a wine cellar, and an alfresco dining space. Quasar’s commercial director, Eduardo Diez Jr., notes, “It is probably now one of the most sought-after products in the archipelago.” It’s easy to see why.

As of October 2017, adventurous, well-heeled travelers can book one of two unique itineraries aboard the M/Y Grace directly through Quasar Expeditions . Off-season rates in the fall of 2018 start at USD $5,600 per person (which covers almost every aspect of the eight-day trip less international airfare and domestic transfers). Although, we recommend splurging on the Grace Kelly Suite — the cabin where the Monegasque royalty honeymooned — with an all-in rate of USD $8,900. If you’re a hotshot willing to really open his wallet, you can charter the whole boat for you and 17 of your closest friends for just north of USD $125,000.

Grace boat in Galapagos with white hull & 2 upper decks, wood finishes & many windows, sits beside golden cliffs in calm sea.

This 16-passenger Camper & Nicholsons yacht has traversed the waters of this world under many names, but has been rechristened with a name that takes her back to her history, to the very best of her times. Named after her late owner, Her Serene Highness Princess Grace of Monaco, the name is a representation of her elegance, beauty and prestige. Grace is the ideal yacht for the traveler who seeks a true explorer experience, complemented with excellent service, superb accommodations and fine dining. All who travel aboard this yacht will be part of a unique mission: to bring to life the natural living legacy of the islands through an experience unlike any other in Galapagos.

Grace Review

AdventureSmith Explorations’ Grace review includes a detailed description of the small ship including deck plans and a photo gallery. Our small ship cruise experts have been aboard nearly every first-class vessel in the Galapagos Islands. Please read our Grace review below then contact us to compare the Grace with other  Galapagos cruise ships and upscale yachts offering  Galapagos luxury cruises  and private  Galapagos yacht charters .

The Galapagos is a competitive market for small ships, and it can be difficult for vessels to stand out. But the Grace does. Formerly owned by Princess Grace of Monaco, the ship is a historically significant and luxurious platform with outstanding service and guides. Motor Yacht Grace’s stellar past includes ownership of royalty, millionaire tycoons and a stint in the British Navy. Due to her small size and iconic elegance, we often recommend the Grace to clients seeking a high-end experience aboard a ship as unique as the  Galapagos Islands . Book the Grace Kelly Suite aboard to stay in the same suite that Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier did on their honeymoon. This yacht was a wedding gift from Aristotle Onassis to the Prince and Princess of Monaco. Read more details on the  History of Motor Yacht Grace .

Choose the Grace if you are seeking a combination of luxury, history and exploration. Travelers comment that the service on board this ship, coupled with the true feeling of a safari experience, is unlike anything that is currently offered in Galapagos. Refit and reconstructed during several stages of her past, the ship has always maintained her graceful and stylish lines. The Grace has begun a new era in her rich history. The level of service on board, coupled with her beauty and luxury, are highlights. She has becom an icon in the Galapagos and her best years are surely yet to come.

Common Areas Aboard Grace

Guests can also relax in the front of the boat where the Jacuzzi and sun chairs are located. Guests can also enjoy a topnotch Ecuadorian coffee in the coffee lounge. Finally, the onboard boutique offers travel essentials and souvenirs.

Grace offers intimate and personal expedition experiences in the Galapagos, where guests can truly interact and gain a wealth of knowledge from a real Galapagos expert. Grace features a Jacuzzi, sea kayaks, snorkeling gear and wetsuits on board. A Kid’s Club with activities like stargazing and movie nights is available for special family-oriented departures. Child-oriented guides who organize learning activities and provide children with a kid’s expedition journal, are placed specifically for departures with children. A wide variety of books are available in the library as well as various board games and movies for children.

Galapagos Grace Reviews from Our Travelers

The Grace and her crew were everything one could hope for. Both the Grace and Napo Wildlife Center were wonderfully comfortable.

Everything on the Grace was wonderful - guide, staff & crew, food, outings, etc.

The Grace and her crew were everything one could hope for. Only suggestion, a door stop for exterior door of each cabin and hiking sticks with pointed ends for the elderly among us.

Accommodations Review

Both the Grace and Napo Wildlife Center were wonderfully comfortable.

Crew & Guides Review

Our Galapagos guide, Rafael, was incredibly knowledgeable and informative.  He always went the extra mile to insure that each guest had the best possible experience and  I required more attention than most being older and having mobility issues.

Everything on the Grace was wonderful - guide, staff & crew, food, outings, etc. Mashpi Lodge was also a great experience and very unique place. For the transfers and city tour in Quito Metropolitan Touring did an excellent job. Only disappointment was that the Grace makes a big deal of marketing the fact that there would be one guide for every 9 guests. We had 16 people on our trip but only one guide so that did not meet our expectation even though our guide was exceptional.

MY Grace Cruise Ship Review

my grace yacht

MY Grace ship review

The MY Grace now offers small ship cruises in the Galapagos Islands, but it has not always been the case. Built in the 1920s, the ship has a long history, and was used by Grace Kelly and the Prince of Monaco on their honeymoon. Of course, the ship now features a modern design, but keeps pieces of it’s history such as the wheel.

The 44 meters MY Grace features 9 cabins, welcoming up to 18 guests on-board. The cabins are air-conditioned and include an en-suite bathroom. Grace (1927)

Historical Summary:

Grace has a long and interesting story that includes everything from long sea lanes across big ocean to presidents and Hollywood actors.

Curlew 1927-1942

Built in 1927 by White & Co LTD, Southampton, England as the motor yacht «Curlew» for Colonel Herbert Molson. Molson was a Canadian businessman and brewery (Molson Brewery). He and his family used the yacht at The Great Lakes with home base in Montreal, Quebec.

USS Leader – Pyc-42 24 October 1942 – 11 May1945

Patrol Yacht Coastal. During World War II, she was acquired by the US Navy and used as a sonar school in LA Jolla California. In 1946, she was transferred to the War Shipping Administration. While in service for the US Navy, there were 25 crews on board and she was equipped with two 20mm machine guns, two synchemine rails and two rocket batteries.

Chito 1949 – 1956

Kenneth E. Wilson bought the boat at a surplus auction from War Shipping Administration and christened her "Chito." Mr. Wilson was a boat broker in Long Beach, Los Angeles. It turns out that he bought the boat as a front for General Abelardo L. Rodriguez, former President of Mexico, as there were restrictions on foreigners buying excessive materials from the United States. His son, Abelardo S. Rodriguez, was usually called Chito. Therefore, the yacht was renamed Chito. General Rodriguez had the boat as president’s boat and used it both for private use and affairs of state.

Hyding 1956-1979

In 1956 she was purchased by Jack Hyde from San Diego CA, who gave her the name of Hyding. Jack used her as a private yacht and chartered her. She was once chartered by Mike Todd, who used the yacht to impress Elizabeth Taylor and «steal» her from Kevin Mclory. In the early 60’s she was purchased by Warren St. Thomas, an artist, actor and producer, and eventually got some problems with the IRS (IRS) and the boat was sold or taken over by Mr. Assel Offe. She was then bought by Jack Ford who operated charter trips to Alaska and Hawaii. During one trip to Alaska, they had major problems and lost propulsion in both main engines outside Cape Mendocino CA, they had to be towed by Coast Guard back to their home port in Sausalito, San Francisco Bay, CA. After this the boat was still quiet for a period and taken over by John Mullen. His sons and some friends started repairing and fixing a little while on the boat. In 1979 she was sold to Paul Whitter.

Paullu 1979 – 1993

Paul and Louise Whittier took over the boat In 1972, they christened her "Paullu." She was towed to Fulton Shipyard in Antioch CA. There she got a big overhaul, the Cooper Bessemer diesel engines were exchanged with two used Caterpillar from around 1962. She also exchanged a lot of the interior and new electrical facilities on board. After she was taken over, she was used on the coast of British Columbia, with the main base on Goudge Island, Paul Whitters private island. She was used little after 1985 due to illness by the owners, and in 1993 she was bought by Henk Koster

Grace 1993-1996

Henk Koster and Henriette Suzanne Wasmer bought Paullu in 1993 and in early 1994 she was christened Grace in a ceremony on Lake Washington (Seattle). The name Grace is after American actor Grace P. Kelly, who Henk and Suzanne were very excited about. On March 8, 1994 she was ready to sail to her new home port in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

The sail went down along California, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and through the Panama Canal. Further through the Caribbean and to Fort Lauderdale. Furthermore, the trip went to St. George`s in Bermuda before crossing the Atlantic and across to the Azores. They came in a heavy low pressure, but Henk Koster graduated flying and held Grace in the low pressure center, where it was quiet until they had to bunk on the Azores. After bunkering, the low pressure wind was at its worst and they had to turn around and seek shelter for the weather before the trip went on to the Netherlands.

In the winter of 1994/95 she was in the shipyard in the Netherlands and a lot was done on board before a trip up along the Swedish and Norwegian coasts. In the summer of 1996, the owners decided to sell Grace in London, but was advised by Ragnar Thorseth at Håholmen to go to Oslo and seek out Petter Sundt, Morten Bergesen and the owner of Eileen – as he did not know about her. After a visit on board, Erling Storm and Trygve Hegnar, bought Grace to operate in charter service.

Grace 1996- and forward

In the winter of 1996/97 there was a change of plate in the hull, a lot of new technical systems and a lot of safety equipment came in place to class the boat as a passenger boat, so that the boat was able to operate charters in the Oslo fjord and around the Norwegian coast.

NOTE TO U.S. CUSTOMS & BORDER PROTECTION

Due to the international and fluid nature of the yachting business and the fact there is no global central industry listing service to which all charter yachts subscribe it is impossible to ascertain a truly up-to-date view of the market. We are a news and information service and not always informed when yachts leave the charter market, or when they are recently sold and renamed it is not clear if they are still for charter. Whilst we use our best endeavors to maintain accurate information, the existence of a listing on this website should in no way supersede official documentation supplied by representatives of a yacht.

When you get back to your GRACE yacht charter, feel free to post cool pictures and videos from this amazing national park on social media.

Your private chef, Jerko, will prepare a special lunch of your choice that may consist of bavette steak with asparagus and roasted garlic pan sauce or spinach stuffed salmon. Every day, he will delight you by serving and presenting the Mediterranean, Asian or local food. YACHT MAIN DECK

The amazing main deck aft will be your first spot where you will enjoy amazing snacks, specially made by your chef. Here, you also have a wet bar and an alfresco dining area with comfortable sofas and stylish chairs. The dining area on the main deck aft has shade on all 3 sides, which can be lowered to protect you from the sun during the day or from humidity at night.

yacht charter accommodation: main salon & dining area

The main deck salon`s layout is unconventionally designed. Unlike most superyachts, who tend to put the lounge area closer to the stern and the dining area more forward, GRACE does it differently. She has both the features, the salon lounge area and dining area, parallel together, following a straight line stretching as long as the main deck interior does.

Moving forward through the sliding glass doors, you will enter the amazing indoor salon. On the starboard side, you will have a huge sofa ideal for socializing, watching football or having a movie night. On the port side of this main indoor salon, you have a large dining table that can seat up to 10 guests.

The whole space exudes a corporate style that you will enjoy. Furthermore, GRACE yacht charter has huge panoramic windows that will fill the entire place with natural light and you will have an amazing view while watching movies or eating your first meal of the day.

The good feature about this yacht is that she has a large galley from where your private chef will prepare amazing meals and also a lovely day head so you can wash your hands before meals without needing to go to your cabin. Furthermore, on the bow, you have a spacious sunbathing area ideal for tanning or reading your favourite magazine.

Yacht Charter Accommodation: The Master Suite

Moving forward, you will arrive at the master suite, beautifully designed in navy style with an ensuite bathroom, a walk-in closet and a huge TV screen. The master cabin sends out a very inviting atmosphere. There are long and wide double windows on both port and starboard sides of the cabin, with a flat-screen TV in front of the king-size berth. The headspace above the king-size berth is intricately designed, so the whole ceiling creates a dynamic flow of energy in GRACES`s master cabin

There is also a working table from where you will be able to reply to all your emails and the Wi-Fi connection is super fast on every inch of the spectacular GRACE yacht charter. Also, the master suite has amazing windows and you will have a new view every time you enter the suite. What I really like about this suite is the huge mirror behind the bed which gives you the impression of a much larger space.

YACHT UPPER DECK

On the upper aft deck, you have a spacious sunbathing area with full-beam sunbeds that can also be used for practising yoga or as an open-air gym area. Moving forward, you will find a lovely dining table with sofas and a wet bar, with 2 stool chairs, from where your private chef or hostess will be able to prepare amazing snacks and cocktails. Moreover, you can cool your favourite beverage here instead of going down on the main deck.

There is also a beautifully designed inside sky lounge. GRACE yacht charter features a TV/media room located close to the captain’s command bridge. While your kids are watching cartoons on the main deck, you can enjoy romantic Netflix movies on the upper deck sky lounge. This whole area is ideal for socializing and having fun with both family and friends.

YACHT LOWER DECK

GRACE`S lower deck consists of two double and two twin cabins, each one a mirror image of the other. This means that there are two identical twin cabins and two identical double cabins. These comfortable and spacious living accommodations are all decorated using a light and bright colour palette. This includes a light grey wool carpet, light matte wood surfaces for the walls and beige leather panels for the ceilings.

A small corner-placed sofa dilutes the massive amount of room in the double cabins, creating a more inviting vibe. Every cabin has its own ensuite, which is well-appointed and capable of handling longer charter voyages. All of the space of the lower deck cabin is completely oversized, meaning that there is excess walk-around room in the cabins, around the berths and particularly in the ensuites; headroom is ample too.

Yacht Charter Accommodation: Two double Staterooms

The amazing feature about VIP staterooms are huge king-size beds in the centre of the stateroom, surrounded by two nightstands. In other staterooms of yachts of this size, it is almost impossible to have the king-sized beds in VIP staterooms and that is one more reason why GRACE yacht charter is an amazing vessel to spend your holiday on.

Furthermore, from your bed, you can watch your favourite movie or football match on the great TV. This stateroom also has a nice sofa where you can relax and watch the beautiful Croatian Adriatic coast through the large window above the bed. In addition, in these two VIP staterooms, you will find a large closet where you can store all your luggage and ensuite bathrooms which have a toilet, sink, huge mirror and a stylish shower.

Yacht Charter Accommodation: Two Twin Cabins

All rooms on the lower deck are designed in a navy style which gives you the real feeling of chartering a superyacht. Moreover, in these two twin cabins with two separated beds, you will have large windows so you will constantly have fresh unpolluted Croatian air and daylight during your vacation.

Your guests will be amazed by their cabins and the layout of the lower deck is perfectly made for having privacy and comfort like you are in a 5-star-hotel. Also, the twin cabins have ensuite bathrooms and great closets perfect for all your belongings.

YACHT BEACH CLUB & SWIMMING PLATFORM

The swimming platform on GRACE yacht charter is huge, considering the overall length of this yacht. There are plenty of options for comfort and luxury, like your crew putting sun pads on the swimming platform, so you could enjoy a pure and uninterrupted connection with the sea.

You can also enjoy perfectly chilled champagne, as you sit on the swimming platform and let your feet splash around in the crystal-clear Croatian Adriatic sea.

In the evening, use your imagination and utilise the swimming platform on your yacht charter in a fairy tale-like way: ask your crew to provide floating lanterns, which you can then light up and release. This way, they can reflect their light as they float up into the night`s sky.

YACHT WATER TOYS & WATER SPORTS

GRACE yacht charter has a lot of water toys, including an amazing jet ski, superb water skis, a Sea bob and plenty of snorkelling gear. Besides the water toys, she has a powerful tender, ideal for exploring uninhabited Croatian islands and islets.

Explore the bustling Croatian seabed by combining the power of the Sea bob with the practicality of snorkelling gear. You will be flying like a dolphin above the lively seafloor, observing numerous species of flora and fauna, like sea urchins, fish schools, starfish, seashells and coral. Remember, do not disturb the sea bed, so future generations could also enjoy the bounties of the Croatian Adriatic sea.

My favourite water toy on this superyacht is the amazing jet ski. I was racing with guests from another yacht and it was a spectacular and unforgettable experience for me. If you are an adrenaline junkie, like me, you will be thrilled with this superfast, but also a safe toy that will entertain you every day.

Woman Who Filed Civil Suit Against Diddy’s Son Speaks Out About Rapper’s Arrest: ‘Justice’

Diddy King Combs

The lawyer of a woman who filed a civil suit against Sean “Diddy” Combs ‘ youngest son, Christian “King” Combs , has spoken out against the rapper’s arrest via a statement from her lawyer.

Grace O’Marcaigh  accused King, 26, of sexually assaulting her while she was working on a yacht in 2022 via a lawsuit filed in April.

After Diddy was taken into custody this week, O’Marcaigh’s lawyer, Rodney S. Diggs , described the arrest as the “first step” towards “justice” in a statement provided to Us Weekly on Wednesday, September 18.

“The long-awaited federal arrest of Sean Combs is the first step for our clients receiving justice,” Diggs said in the statement. “We leave the criminal aspect of this case in the hands of the people and justice system. As for the civil cases, we await our time for the facts to reveal themselves and seek the justice our clients deserve.”

He added: “We also anticipate more victims coming forward. We knew this was coming. The evidence is very clear, and it was only a matter of time. This is an important step towards justice for all of Mr. Combs’ victims including my clients. Justice will prevail.”

Us Weekly has reached out to a representative for Diddy for comment.

Diddy, 54, was arrested in New York on Monday, September 16. The following day, a 14-page indictment alleging that Diddy “abused, threatened and coerced women and others around him” was made public. The rapper has since entered a not guilty plea for charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion and transportation to engage in prostitution.

A New York judge denied Diddy bail on Tuesday, September 17, and he will remain in custody pending trial. He lost an appeal to overturn the decision on Wednesday, September 18.

Diddy’s lawyer Marc Agnifilo  insisted that Diddy is innocent in an interview on CNN’s The Source With Kaitlan Collins .

“He’s innocent. I believe he’s innocent. I believe he’s innocent of the charges,” he said Tuesday. “He is going to go to trial. And I believe he’s going to win.”

A lawsuit filed by lawyers on April 4 in Los Angeles County Superior Court alleged that  Diddy’s son King sexually assaulted O’Marcaigh, 25, while she was working on a yacht. The papers alleged the working environment had been “sold as a wholesome family excursion” but turned into a “hedonistic environment.”

Diddy King Combs

King was also accused of sexual harassment and infliction of emotional distress in the lawsuit. Diddy was sued in the same suit for premises liability for chartering the yacht and for aiding and abetting King in the alleged assault.

Days later, a lawyer for Diddy and King hit back at reports and slammed one of the lawyers representing O’Marcaigh.

In a statement to Us on April 8, lawyer Aaron Dyer cautioned the public to meet the claims with skepticism, pointing the finger at the accuser’s attorney Tyrone Blackburn  who filed the lawsuit alongside Diggs.

“We have not seen this woman’s claim but I’m sure we can expect the same kind of manufactured lies … just as we saw in Rodney Jones ’ lawsuit — which has yet to be served,” Dyer said in a statement to Us at the time.

“[Blackburn] was just slapped by a federal judge in New York earlier this week for his ‘pattern of behavior’ in ‘improperly [filing] cases in federal court to garner media attention, embarrass defendants with salacious allegations and pressure defendants to settle quickly,’” Dyer continued.

Related: A Timeline of Diddy's Legal Troubles, Accusations and Arrests

Dyer was referring to a court filing by Judge Denise Cote that suggested Blackburn had a history of filing lawsuits aimed at attracting media attention to pressure high-profile defendants into settling quickly.

Blackburn faced similar accusations in the past, including from lawyers representing Nicki Minaj , T.I. and Tameka “Tiny” Harris , who accused him of participating in a “sordid shakedown campaign” to extract settlements from the artists.

“Two days after he was referred to the disciplinary committee in the Southern District of New York, it’s interesting he chose to file a new suit in California,” Dyer’s statement concluded. “This is just another page from that same playbook, as we learned of this lawsuit the same way anyone hears about Mr. Blackburn’s filings: through the media.”

King broke his silence on the matter on March 29, days after he was detained and later released by law enforcement. He posted a message via Snapchat that read, “Stop with the 🧢,” using the slang term of “cap,” i.e. lying.

Who was on superyacht that sank off Sicily?

Twenty-two people were on board the Bayesian superyacht including British technology tycoon Mike Lynch, his wife and 18-year-old daughter, and Morgan Stanley International boss Jonathan Bloomer.

Details have emerged of the 22 people who were on board the superyacht that sank off the coast of Sicily.

The British-flagged vessel named Bayesian was carrying 12 passengers and 10 members of crew when it got into difficulty in the early hours of Monday.

Seven bodies have now been recovered. The other 15 people on board were rescued.

Here's what we know about those who were on the yacht.

British technology tycoon Mike Lynch was among the original six people missing. On Thursday, divers confirmed his body had been recovered.

Raised in Ilford, east London by Irish parents, the 59-year-old made millions with the software company Autonomy he set up in 1996.

He had an estimated net worth of £852m, according to the 2023 Sunday Times Rich List, and is believed to have owned the yacht.

Off the back of Automomy's global success, Mr Lynch was given the roles of science adviser to former prime minister David Cameron and non-executive director of the BBC.

The Cambridge maths and sciences graduate sold the firm for £8.64bn to US giant Hewlett Packard (HP) in 2011.

Dubbed the "British Bill Gates", Mr Lynch has been in the headlines in recent months over a high-profile fraud case related to the sale of Autonomy to HP in 2011.

HP accused him of deliberately overstating the value of the company before it was acquired by the American technology firm. Mr Lynch denied any wrongdoing.

In June, a US jury cleared him of all charges .

Hannah Lynch

Mr Lynch's 18-year-old daughter Hannah Lynch was also on board. A body believed to be that of the teenager was recovered on Friday from the yacht wreckage.

She had been on holiday with her parents, having secured a place to study English at the University of Oxford, according to reports.

Her former school, Latymer Upper School in Hammersmith, west London, said they were "incredibly shocked by the news that Hannah and her father are among those missing in this tragic accident" when the yacht first sank.

Angela Bacares

Mr Lynch's wife Angela Bacares was on board the yacht and was rescued.

The 57-year-old said she and Mr Lynch were awoken by the boat "tilting" at 4am - half an hour before it sank.

Jonathan Bloomer

Jonathan Bloomer is the chairman of Morgan Stanley Pic: Hiscox/ Linkedin

Jonathan Bloomer, the chairman of investment bank Morgan Stanley International, was confirmed dead on Thursday.

According to the Financial Times, Mr Bloomer appeared as a defence witness for Mr Lynch during his US criminal trial and the pair were good friends. He also chaired Autonomy's audit committee.

The 70-year-old was the chief executive of UK-Hong Kong insurer Prudential until he was ousted by the board in 2005.

He was also chairman of the insurance provider Hiscox.

Judy Bloomer

Mr Bloomer's wife Judy was on the yacht trip with her husband. Divers confirmed they found her body on Thursday.

Mrs Bloomer was a former board member at The Eve Appeal charity, which focuses on gynaecological cancers.

The charity described her as a "brilliant champion for women's health and medical research... an incredible supporter, committee member, and trustee of our charity for over 20 years".

Recaldo Thomas

The yacht's on-board chef Recaldo Thomas died in the sinking.

He was Canadian-Antiguan and part of the crew of the Bayesian.

His body was the first to be recovered from the wreckage.

Chris Morvillo

US lawyer Chris Morvillo was among those divers found dead on Thursday.

The father-of-two worked on Mr Lynch's US fraud trial and was a partner of law firm Clifford Chance's US branch.

Mr Morvillo was assistant attorney for the Southern District of New York between 1995 and 2005 and worked on the terrorist investigation into the 9/11 attacks.

In a recent LinkedIn post, he thanked the legal team that helped win Mr Lynch's trial.

Signing off the post, he said: "And, finally, a huge thank you to my patient and incredible wife, Neda Morvillo, and my two strong, brilliant, and beautiful daughters, Sabrina Morvillo and Sophia Morvillo.

"None of this would have been possible without your love and support. I am so glad to be home. And they all lived happily ever after…."

Neda Morvillo

Mr Morvillo's wife Neda died in the disaster alongside her husband.

The 57-year-old had a luxury jewellery brand, which she ran under her maiden name Neda Nassiri.

Ayla Ronald, a senior associate at Clifford Chance, survived the yacht disaster, the law firm confirmed.

The 36-year-old worked alongside Chris Morvillo in helping defend Mike Lynch in court.

Clifford Chance said in a statement: "Our utmost priority is providing support to the family as well as our colleague Ayla Ronald, who together with her partner, thankfully survived the incident."

She is originally from Christchurch, New Zealand, but lives in London, her father told local media there.

He said she was left "very shaken" but "she and her partner are alive".

Charlotte Golunski

Charlotte Golunski

Charlotte Golunski was on board the yacht and was rescued along with her one-year-old daughter, Sofia.

She spoke to Italian newspaper La Repubblica, confirming she survived the yacht sinking and told how she kept her daughter alive after she was rescued.

"I held her afloat with all my strength, my arms stretched upwards to keep her from drowning," she said.

"It was all dark. In the water I couldn't keep my eyes open. I screamed for help but all I could hear around me was the screams of others."

The 35-year-old is a partner at one of Mr Lynch's firms - Invoke Capital - and has worked there since 2012, according to her LinkedIn profile.

She also worked at Hewlett Packard, which acquired Autonomy in 2011, for 11 months.

Before that, she studied history at the University of Oxford.

Ms Golunski's partner James Emsley was also rescued from the yacht, according to Sicily's civil protection agency.

The 36-year-old is the father of her one-year-old daughter.

James Cutfield

The 51-year-old captain of the yacht spoke to Italian newspaper La Repubblica after he was rescued.

Mr Cutfield, from New Zealand, was taken for treatment at the Termini Imerese emergency unit, where he told the newspaper: "We didn't see it coming."

Leah Randall

Leah Randall was part of the Bayesian crew and survived the sinking.

She was pictured going ashore in Porticello on Monday morning and is from South Africa.

Her mother Heidi told Sky News said she was "beyond relieved that my daughter's life was spared by the grace of God".

"It doesn't make it any easier living with the heartache of those who have lost their lives [or are] missing. My very deepest condolences to the chef's family as they formed a great friendship," she said.

The Italian coastguard confirmed on Tuesday evening that Leo Eppel, a crew member, also survived the yacht sinking.
