The 73m/240ft custom motor yacht TITANIA was built by the renowned German shipyard Lurssen in 2006 and refit to exacting standards in 2018. Met with world acclaim on her launch, she continues to be one of the largest and most luxurious superyachts on the charter market.

Conceived by industry-leading designers, TITANIA is a firm favourite among her guests and an enduring charter icon. The very pinnacle of luxury, she fuses opulent design with an effortless indoor-outdoor lifestyle and a wealth of modern amenities.

Exterior Design

TITANIA’s exterior design is the work of celebrated naval architect Espen Oeino, who has successfully penned a timeless and sophisticated silhouette, which encompasses an ample selection of versatile outdoor living, dining and entertainment areas. Primed for panoramic views, the sundeck is a haven for sun lover’s seeking out relaxation while a multitude of leisure options are at hand on the ‘pool deck’ below. As the name suggests, an inviting pool with a swim-up bar takes pride of place alongside a huge, U-shaped bar and alfresco dining setup for up to 14 guests. There are even more outdoor dining and lounging options on both the main deck and bridge deck below as well as a fabulous beach club. Equipped with a sauna, bar and sofa, this water-side area can transform from an enviable daytime hangout to a waterside night club.

Interior Design

Headed up by design firm Zuretti, the stunning interior of TITANIA immediately transports all those who step aboard into an opulent haven of unparalleled luxury and comfort. The lavish main salon features a show-stopping grand piano alongside an elegant lounge area and marble-topped bar. Further forward there is a regal dining salon, perfect for formal dinner parties. On the bridge deck, another dining space encircled by full-length glass windows creates an intimate setting for a special occasion, while the spacious skylounge forward is the place for family get-togethers with a bespoke games table and large HD TV screen. Overall, much of the interior is defined by rich, high-gloss woods, vivid pops of blue and complementing pale tones, ornate marble and other refined details. Plus, extensive glazing ensures the living spaces are flooded with natural light.

Guest Accommodation

Motor yacht TITANIA sleeps up to 12 guests in seven bespoke cabins, including an expansive master suite stretching across the forward section of the main deck. As well as full-beam sleeping quarters, an en-suite bathroom with a Jacuzzi, a walk-in wardrobe and a private study, there is an alluring raised massage area with panoramic views forward. Taking up a prime spot on the pool deck forward is a VIP suite, while a VIP cabin with huge glass windows is located amidships to starboard on the upper deck. The remaining accommodation found on the lower deck comprises four double cabins. All boast beautifully appointed marble bathrooms, and two feature pullman berths.

Onboard Comfort & Entertainment

The beach club housed in the 3.8-metre stern extension is the ideal space to enjoy the water when at anchor. A sumptuous sofa and bar ensure guests can unwind here while the children and young at heart take to an inflatable water park deployed from the swim platform. The trampoline and climbing frame, as well as a 13-metre-tall water slide cascading down from the sundeck, provide hours of fun for all the family. TITANIA is also an accredited RYA training centre, with two qualified jet ski instructors who can help charter guests get their licenses. By night, however, the beach club can transform into a sleek and stylish nightclub for water-side parties. In the interior, there is a widescreen HD TV in the skylounge for movie nights at sea, as well as a games table. Plus, all cabins are equipped with the latest entertainment systems.

TITANIA is dedicated to health and wellbeing, and this is reflected in her vast range of wellness facilities. Alongside the beach club sauna, there is a glass-enclosed veranda on the sundeck containing a brand a new climate-controlled gymnasium. The exercise area is stocked with state-of-the-art equipment and a fitness instructor is on hand to create personalised fitness plans. After working out, charterers can then retreat to the dedicated spa room on the upper deck where a resident beauty therapist and hairdresser offers a range of treatments and massages for heavenly pamper sessions.

Performance & Range

In addition to state-of-the-art audio visual and communication systems on board, TITANIA also features an ultra-modern zero speed stabilizer system. This reduces roll motion effect and results in a smoother, more enjoyable cruising and berthing experience. With a cruising speed of 14 knots, a maximum speed of 16 knots and a range of 5,000nm from her 190,000-litre fuel tanks, her performance is unquestionably of equal standards to her magnificent leisure and entertainment facilities.

Onboard Titania has a large selection of toys and accessories to keep you and your guests entertained on the water throughout your stay. Principle among these is a Flyboard, experience flying in and out of the water with the latest in high adrenaline watersport. In addition there are two sailboats to bring out the explorer in you. Additionally, there is a waterslide bringing a sense of fun that all the family can enjoy. If that isn't enough Titania also features Jet Skis, waverunners, towable toys, waterskis, a seabob and much more. Titania features two tenders, but leading the pack is a 8m/26'3" Royal Denship Tender to transport you in style.

Lurssen’s 239.5-foot (73m) motor yacht TITANIA is one of the most exciting luxury superyachts available for charter.

With an extensive aqua park, a sea-level beach club and a garage full of water toys, there’s endless entertainment for both the young and the young at heart. Fitness-minded guests will love the onboard fitness trainer, ready to assist with your exercise routine and help you tone and sculpt in the fully stocked onboard gym. Later, relieve and relax in TITANIA’s spa with massage room and sauna. In addition, other members of the crew are trained estheticians, able to provide facials and an array of other pampering body treatments, utilizing both Eastern and Western techniques. The yacht also features a large Jacuzzi with a swim-up bar on the pool deck

TITANIA’s seven opulent staterooms are the epitome of luxury accommodation and welcome up to 12 guests. She features two master suites, one on the main deck with a private Jacuzzi and the other on an upper deck, offering incredible panoramic views, a VIP cabin on the bridge deck and four additional guests’ cabins on the lower deck. TITANIA’s elevator offers access to all decks from lower to the sundeck. Her interior spaces are flooded with natural light courtesy of large windows. The various salons aboard are ideally suited for entertaining with family and friends as they feature sumptuous furnishings in beautiful color palettes. The light and airy aesthetic onboard is both welcoming and relaxing and ensures total comfort. The layout is ideal for families or large groups of friends. 73m motor yacht TITANIA is spacious, accessible, effortlessly stylish, and one of the most popular charter yachts on the water. Custom-built by German shipyard Lurssen in 2006, she’s a world cruising yacht with a stellar reputation for luxury living. Titania is a classic wooden yacht designed by William Lapworth. Launched in 1967 and build by Vancouver Boat Works for a family, the Grahams, to sail around the world.

The design brief was a strong, safe and seaworthy yacht with great sailing characteristics capable of fast ocean passages with minimum crew. Immediately after launching originally, "Driver" completed the 1967 Transpacific Yacht Race, then started their successful circumnavigation.  "Driver" returned to Southern California and was acquired by the third owner, a longtime client of Bill Lapworth.

Titania is no project woody. A testament to her engineering and owner's care, she underwent a refit and upgrade beginning in 1990 during which no planks or frames needed to be replaced. “Aorangi”, as she was called at the time, received a completely new interior, new teak decks, new engine, mast, winches, and hardware. Upon completion, her owners enjoyed local cruising.

Under the current and proud owner now, "Titania" proceeded with a major upgrade on instruments, batteries, winch equipment and cruised regularly to Catalina and coastal  SoCal.

"Titania" is sailed and managed with a crew of two. With her Profurl electric jib furler and main sail hoisted via electric windlass capstan, sails are set with ease. She can sail high to the wind and makes 7 to 8 knots with 12 mph true wind on the beam. Her full keel provides true tracking and comfortable state in heavy seas. With the Furuno hydraulic driven auto pilot providing reliable accurate  helming under all sea states. 14kw lithium iron phosphate house bank and 2kw of solar allow her to be self-reliant without the need to maintain a noisy fuel thirsty generator. "Titania" is ready for all sailing passages both near coastal and offshore. "Titania" has Coastwise Certificate for Charter.

Accommodations consists of three sleeping cabins. Starting aft behind the cockpit would be the owner's cabin, with one double berth. This cabin has an ensuite head, hanging lockers and drawer storage.

From this cabin there is a walkway through to the main cabin by going through the engine room on the starboard side. The U-shaped galley is located to port with ample counter space and beautiful laminated wood sinks. The galley features a Kenyon induction oven, June cooktop, refrigerator and freezer, top opening, well insulated with cold plates. The navigation station is located to starboard with table and seat. In the main salon, on the port side, is a large dining table with wraparound seating. Opposite to starboard is additional seating with a lot of storage underneath. Going forward you enter the forepeak cabin with two pipe berths. The ensuite head is located on the port side. Going further forward is an additional cabin for two.

"They were in the wrong place at the wrong time," Mr Cocina added.  Storms and heavy rainfall had swept down Italy in recent days after weeks of scorching heat, lifting the temperature of the Mediterranean Sea to record levels and raising the risk of extreme weather conditions, experts told Reuters. "The sea surface temperature around Sicily was around 30 degrees Celsius, which is almost 3 degrees more than normal. This creates an enormous source of energy that contributes to these storms," meteorologist Luca Mercalli said. Rescuers recover the body of one of the people aboard the Bayesian.  ( AP: Lucio Ganci ) Captain Karsten Borner of the Sir Robert Baden Powell vessel told journalists he noticed the Bayesian nearby during the storm, but after it calmed he saw a red flare and realised the ship had simply disappeared. Mr Borner said he and a crew member boarded their tender and found a lifeboat with 15 people, some of them injured, who they then took aboard and alerted the coast guard. Search crews, including helicopters and divers, are continuing to search the wreckage, lying at a depth of 49 metres. Specialist divers reached the ship on Monday but access was limited due to objects in the way, the fire brigade said. The UK Marine Accident Investigation Branch is deploying a team of four inspectors to Italy to conduct a preliminary assessment. The Foreign Commonwealth and Development office said it was "providing consular support to a number of British nationals and their families". Sicilian prosecutors have also opened an investigation into the event.  Who is missing? Lawyer Chris Morvillo (left), entrepreneur Mike Lynch, and Morgan Stanley chairman Jonathan Bloomer are among the missing.  There were 12 passengers and 10 crew members aboard the yacht.  Mr Cocina said the crew and passengers hailed from a variety of countries, including Britain, the United States, Antigua, France, Germany, Ireland, Myanmar, the Netherlands, New Zealand and Spain. Of the 22, one man is confirmed dead and another six people are still missing.  They are believed to be inside the hull, fire rescue spokesperson Luca Cari said. Fabio Cefalù, a fisherman who said he responded to a flare from the vessel but found it sunk, said he stayed at the site for three hours without finding anyone. "I think they are inside, all the missing people," he said. Rescue teams recovered the body of the yacht's onboard chef on Monday, identified as Antiguan citizen Ricardo Thomas. The still missing people include:  Mr Lynch's 18-year-old daughter, Hannah  Jonathan Bloomer, chairman of global financial services company Morgan Stanley International Chris Morvillo , a lawyer at the British multinational law firm Clifford Chance. Mr Lynch, once hailed as Britain’s king of technology, was recently freed from a Silicon Valley lawsuit that tarnished his legacy.  The 59-year-old Cambridge-educated mathematician created Autonomy , a search engine that could pore through emails and other internal business documents to help companies find vital information more quickly.  He received the OBE for his innovation in 2006.  He then sold the software to Hewlett-Packard (HP) for $US11 billion ($16 billion) in 2011, with Mr Lynch personally netting $US800 million.  HP valued Autonomy at $US46 billion ($68 billion) in the months leading up to the deal. As part of a decades-long legal battle against HP, Mr Lynch was extradited to the UK on criminal fraud charges.  He steadfastly denied any wrongdoing, asserting that he was being made a scapegoat for HP's own bungling.  He was eventually cleared of all charges in June this year.  Although he avoided a possible prison sentence, Lynch still faced a bill from a civil case in London that HP mostly won during 2022. Damages haven't been determined in that case, but HP is seeking $US4 billion.  Following the San Francisco trial, Mr Lynch said he would return to the UK and do what he loved most: "[being with] my family and innovating in my field." The holiday appeared to be something of a celebration after Mr Lynch's acquittal, with guests including some of the people who had stood by Lynch throughout the ordeal. Mr Chamberlain — Autonomy's former vice-president of finance alongside Mr Lynch — was hit by a car in Cambridgeshire on Saturday morning and had been placed on life support.  What is the Bayesian? The luxury yacht is 56m long sailboat, with a 75m mast labelled as the tallest aluminium mast in the world. It was previously named Salute when it flew under a Dutch flag. The yacht, built in 2008 by the Italian firm Perini Navi, can accommodate up to 12 guests in six suites and a crew of 10, according to online specialist yacht sites. It was last refitted in 2020. The yacht, the Bayesian, with 10 crew members and 12 passengers, was caught in what some witnesses described as a waterspout , essentially a small tornado on water, during a sudden and violent downpour in the pre-dawn hours of Monday. The recovery of the four bodies was confirmed by Salvatore Cocina, head of Sicily’s civil protection agency, but officials have not yet identified them publicly. Body bags were lifted from a firefighting vessel in Porticello, Sicily, on Wednesday afternoon as a large group of rescuers stood by in their uniforms. On the dock, a crowd of reporters and bystanders watched on in near complete silence, as a church bell tolled in the background. Although 15 people made it to safety and the yacht’s cook was confirmed dead, the fate of the remaining six people , including a British tech entrepreneur, Mike Lynch, had been formally unresolved until the update on Wednesday. In addition to Mr. Lynch, the remaining people who had been identified as missing by the authorities were his daughter Hannah; Jonathan Bloomer, the chairman of Morgan Stanley International; his wife, Judy Bloomer; Christopher J. Morvillo, a lawyer at Clifford Chance; and his wife, Neda Morvillo. They were part of a group of people celebrating a legal victory for Mr. Lynch, who was acquitted in June of fraud charges tied to the sale of his company, Autonomy , to the tech giant Hewlett-Packard. The body of the yacht’s cook, Recaldo Thomas, who held Canadian and Antiguan citizenship, was recovered earlier from the water, the Sicilian civil protection agency said. Deep sea divers with the Vigili del Fuoco, Italy’s firefighting corps, were able to reach the bodies after dealing with what Luca Cari, their spokesman, described as “very difficult” conditions. The yacht had settled on its side, about 165 feet below the surface, and divers could only remain underwater for a limited amount of time. To complicate matters, they had to navigate through broken furnishings and electrical wiring that blocked the tight spaces inside the hull. Because of an editing error, an earlier version of this article transposed the number of crew members and passengers on the Bayesian yacht.
