The Next Adventure For The Next Generation
The world around us continually changes and adapts to the challenges it faces. There are many things we can learn from observing nature and the way it adapts to meets new demands. In a similar way, LYNX YACHTS has taken the concept of a support vessel and evolved it into a better, more adaptable yacht for the next generation of explorers and called it the LYNX YXT series — a ‘yacht extender’ solution.
A Series Evolution
Working in collaboration with some of the best minds in the industry, LYNX YACHTS has created a new 27-metre model for this range of yachts called the YXT 24 Evolution.
Built in the Netherlands by a team of craftsmen who have honed their skills and are masters of their trade, this latest addition is the ideal platform to extend an owner’s ocean-based real-estate without having to modify or replace their existing superyacht.
She joins a growing fleet of adaptable and fully customisable yachts in the range that include the YXT 20, YXT 32, YXT 36 and YXT 40. These are all true Yacht Extenders that meet the demands and requirements of their owners.
The YXT 24 Evolution is a shallow draught, robust and sturdy platform designed to go anywhere and maximise the customisation opportunities for an owner, allowing them to create their ideal version of the 27-metre for their needs. Anything is possible, thanks to the solid engineering and naval architecture package that underpins the operation and aesthetics of the yacht.
24-Square-Metre Beach Club
A spacious beach club is one of the most popular areas on board a yacht, and the YXT 24 Evolution has one of the best for its size. It becomes an extension of the enormous main deck and extends into the ocean with the inclusion of an Opacmare transformer platform.
75-Square-Metre Main Deck
A few steps away from the relaxed beach club and one of the key features of the yacht is revealed, the main deck. Fully engineered to carry the sportiest of toys, from Jetskis and tenders to submarines and helicopters – even SUVs. The versatility of this yacht makes it easy to stow whatever an owner wants. It is the ideal support vessel, offering the perfect blend of utility, seaworthiness and style.
Time To Play
When all the toys on board have been launched, the main deck is transformed into a large open space. The possibilities for this 75-square-metre area are endless and can be used for games, parties or simply to enjoy time with family and friends on sofas and loungers.
Staying Ahead
In keeping with the practicalities found towards the aft of the YXT 24 Evolution, the bridge has a clear and unobstructed view for optimal navigation — a clear example of LYNX YACHTS understanding of seamanship. With a top speed of 13 knots and a range of 1,400 nautical miles at the slightly slower pace of 10 knots, a small crew can arrive ahead of the mothership to the chosen destination to set up.
Small But Mighty
A key tool on board is the crane, which is mounted to port on the main deck. This mighty lifting arm can move a maximum of 3.6 tons up to six metres, making the relocation of tenders, toys and cargo an easy process. The crane compacts into a small unit when not in use.
Surrounded By Adventure
Offering 360-degree views out to sea and a generous seating area behind the helm, the bridge is a peaceful command centre. Enjoy your favourite movie or review the day’s events in complete comfort while keeping an eye on your surrounds or the direction of your voyage. Should you desire a different layout, LYNX YACHTS is more than happy to realise your wishes.
A Healthy Start
LYNX YACHTS takes pride in the level of customisation it offers. And similar to the main deck and bridge, the lower deck is an area that has been developed to serve an owner’s every want and need. In the example presented, a well-considered galley with access to a generous storage area has been created.
Re-energising
The configuration of this YXT 24 Evolution includes a welcoming guest suite with all the luxuries you would expect, with a bright and spacious steam room and shower opposite. However, should an owner wish to have more accommodation or perhaps more storage, it is easy to reconfigure the layout to meet their needs and make the most of the 7-metre beam.
Towards the bow are the crew quarters, which include four berths across two twin en suites. The materials used here are the same as that across the yacht but alternative finishes between spaces can be applied as directed by the owner.
28-Square-Metre Gym
Enjoy the cool breeze as you work up a sweat in the spacious gym aft of the yacht, thanks to the stern facing hatch that reveals the horizon. Equipped with all the machines needed to keep your body and mind in top form, the space also includes an ironing station and additional storage. This space can be used in many different ways.
When you’ve finished your work out, why not walk out onto your private beach club and take a dip in the sea to cool off, and then relax on a lounger with a refreshing drink. This area is perfect for getting closer to the ocean and to take a moment for yourself.
The Engine Room
At the heart of any vessel is the engine room. Usually, the smaller the vessel, the smaller the engine room but LYNX YACHTS is all about achieving practical luxury. Whether this technical space captures your attention or not, it provides all the tools and space an engineer would require to keep your YXT 24 Evolution moving, such as a fully loaded work bench.
Extending The Possibilities
The YXT 24 Evolution joins a growing fleet of adaptable and fully customisable yachts in the range that include the YXT 20, YXT 32 and YXT 36. These are all true Yacht Extenders that meet the demands and requirements of their owners.
“I think this version of the YXT has been developed to its fullest potential. This type of programme is definitely oriented towards the new generation of very active owners which are increasingly joining the market. From an operational point of view, it is also a big improvement for the crew. Having a dual yacht operation brings additional comfort, versatility, redundancy, time efficiency and much more.”

In the yachting community, there are few moments more exciting than the launch of a new vessel. So when the 79-foot YXT 24 Evolution from Netherlands-based Lynx Yachts touched water for the very first time on a sunny October morning last week in Nijkerk, it was understandably cause for celebration. The superyacht support vessel (the second of its kind from Lynx Yachts ) was sold to an American entrepreneur in May 2017—and it’s finally ready to cruise the open seas.

Designed with vast storage capacity, the shadow vessel will be used to stow tenders and gear (including the owner’s Land Rover Defender) so that he can freely explore on land and at sea. The vessel includes a spacious lazarette that can be accessed from the swim platform as well as more than 800 square feet of deck space so the owner can store his all of his tenders and toys, lounge in the sun, play basketball (there’s a hoop!), or even throw a huge party. “[The owner’s] passion for yachting and for the sea is infectious,” says Filippo Rossi, the sales and marketing manager at Lynx Yachts. “He knows exactly how he wants to use his YXT and this has helped us adapt the vessel for him. Everything we do is centered on the user experience, meaning that this fantastic yacht is completely tailor-made to suit the needs and wishes of her owner.”
Besides providing storage for the main yacht’s tenders, toys, and supplies, the YXT also has guest accommodations and extra crew cabins if the owner is traveling with a large number of guests. In addition, it houses a spa and fitness area.
With a crisp white exterior designed by Bernd Weel, the vessel presents a striking profile on the water. Naval architecture was overseen by Diana Yacht Design, and interiors were designed by Darnet Design. After the christening ceremony, the owner’s representatives, designers, media, guests, and friends gathered to enjoy an outdoor lunch held on the banks of the canal next to the shipyard.
Founded in 2011 by businessman Slim Bouricha, Lynx Yachts is a newcomer to the yachting world—but the shipyard has already made a name for itself by selling five impressive yachts, four of which have been built to date.

Lynx Yachts Announces Sale of YXT 24 Evolution
By Andrew Johansson
Lynx Yachts has revealed the sale of another yacht in its YXT series, the YXT 24 Evolution. The 27.3m was designed by Bernd Weel Design with an interior by Darnet Design and engineering by Diana Yacht Design.
The project is due for delivery at the end of 2019 and has been commissioned by an owner who owns a motoryacht.
“ The client is really interested in the YXT 24 because his mothership doesn’t have the capability to carry all the toys he would like to have ,” explains Filippo Rossi , sales and marketing manager at Lynx Yachts. The YXT series is an attractive alternative option to refitting or selling a yacht in favour of purchasing a larger vessel. “ We are engaging with a number of clients who are aware of the benefit of shadow vessels at this scale – they know exactly what they want .”
The addition of the YXT 24 Evolution, with its 7.1m beam, will allow the owner to carry a host of water sports equipment including kite surfing and scuba diving kit, a sailing boat and catamaran. This vessel will also feature a knuckleboom crane to easily launch and retrieve the latter of the toys, which are stowed on the beach platform.
“[The owner is] a real gentleman, passionate about the sea and a true water sport lover,” adds Rossi. “All the solutions for this yacht have been studied with him and his team and I am sure, once delivered, this shadow vessel will enormously increase the pleasure at sea for him and his guests.”
The additional space isn’t limited to toys either, as the shadow vessel will also be able to accommodate two additional guests in a double suite and two double cabins for crew. The interior layout also includes a laundry room and a pantry, with direct access provided to the beach club on the lower deck.
The YXT 24 Evolution will be the second of its kind from the series and includes a number of custom touches such as installing MAN engines, which are the same as those in the owner’s mothership, minimising the need for additional maintenance and servicing teams.
Lynx Yachts is also working on a new 29m fully custom build along with two new models for the YXT series at 32m and 34m, which will provide additional options to existing and future clients.
"The client is really interested in the YXT 24 because his mothership doesn’t have the capability to carry all the toys he would like to have." Filippo Rossi

LYNX YACHTS – YXT 24 EVOLUTION
Length: 23.90 meters Shipyard: Lynx Yachts (The Netherlands)
When Darnet Design was chosen to design the YXT 24M support ship, the challenge was twofold: to be both practical and comfortable.
The layout and fittings therefore offer understated luxury. From the walnut woodwork that brings its warmth, its volumes, its life, that responds the softness of the grey of the floor, the softness of the upholstery, to the immaculate white of the work surface.
As on a superyacht, lighting and blinds are forgotten, until we realize that they are so subtly designed to sometimes sublimate, sometimes privatize the spaces and volumes.
Finalist of the Boat International Design & Innovation Awards 2019 in the category “Best New Production Yacht Design”, we are particularly proud to have participated in this project alongside Lynx Yachts, Diana Yacht Design naval architects, and Bernd Weel Design for exterior design.

Lynx Yachts YXT 24 Evolution Support Vessel Roe Shadow Delivered
The second hull in Lynx Yachts YXT 24 Evolution support vessel series Roe Shadow has been delivered.
It comes after the fully-custom 27.3 metre motor yacht was launched during a small ceremony in March this year. Sold in June 2018, Roe Shadow features exterior design penned by Bernd Wheel Design . The interior is styled by Darnet Design while engineering comes courtesy of Diana Yacht Design .
The owner already has a larger yacht and chose to build a Lynx 24 Evolution to accompany the mothership and carry a plethora of toys. As a passionate watersports enthusiast who enjoys kite-surfing, scuba diving and catamarans and sailboats, the owner chose Lynx to transport these toys, extra equipment and also offer additional accommodation for guests.
The 75 square metre main deck houses a 9.8 metre Pascoe beach lander, two Sea Doos, and a knuckle boom crane with a load capacity of 3.930 tonnes.
The lower deck has a beach club that offers direct access to this platform for easy access to the sea for either diving or kite-surfing activities. There's also a 100-inch outdoor screen for movie nights or sporting events.
With a seven metre beam, Roe Shadow features two large cabins amidships, one for storage of ports equipment, while the other is equipped for washing sports gear and accessories. There are two cabins forward for crew, a large crew mess, three refrigerators, three freezers, three washing machines and three dryers to maximiseher duties as a support vessel.
Lynx sales and marketing manager Filippo Rossi described the owner as "a real gentleman, passionate about the sea and a true watersports lover".
He added: "We are very proud of this new vessel and want to express our special thanks to the whole team involved in the construction.
"In particular, we also want to thank the owner, his representative and ACP Surveyors, for the great cooperation during the lockdown and this unprecedented period we are all facing."
Power comes from two 800hp MAN engines for a cruising speeds of 12 knots.

This $5 million 'yacht extender' is a place to park your helicopter, SUV, submarine, and everything else that can't fit on your main yacht
- Lynx Yachts' YXT 24 Evolution is a second yacht for people who ran out of space on their primary yacht.
- The boat provides extra room for things that can't fit on an owner's main yacht, such as a helicopter, a submarine, an SUV, additional boats, jet skis, and motorcycles.
- It comes with a crane for lifting vehicles onto and off of the deck.
- Lynx calls the YXT 24 a "yacht extender," and the vessel can also include amenities like extra bedrooms, a gym, and a massage room.
- Visit Business Insider's homepage for more stories .
We've all been there at least once. You spend a fortune on a massive superyacht and, before you know it, the place feels cramped and tiny. The deck gets cluttered with jet skis and other toys, leaving absolutely no room for your helicopter.
But the days of simply upgrading to a bigger yacht are over. Lynx Yachts, a Dutch yacht-construction firm, has solved that problem with its line of YXT "yacht extender" models — luxurious support boats that carry all the things that won't fit on a person's main yacht.
Lynx's YXT models come in several sizes and can house boats, jet skis, helicopters, submarines, SUVs, motorcycles, and more. Each one comes outfitted with a crane that can move vehicles around and drop boats into the water when the time comes.
Plus, owners can customize the inside of their YXT to include a gym, sauna, massage room, guest bedrooms, or other amenities.
Read on to take a tour of Lynx's YXT 24 Evolution, which the company calls "the ideal platform to extend an owner's ocean-based real estate without having to modify or replace their existing superyacht." Thank the heavens for that.
Lynx Yachts is selling a multimillion-dollar vessel that — plain and simple — is a yacht for your yacht.
The YXT 24 Evolution is part of Lynx's YXT series — a line of luxurious "yacht extenders" that serve as support boats for a customer's larger superyacht.
YXT models — which come in various sizes — are meant to travel alongside the mothership and provide extra space for all the things customers can't fit on their main yacht.
The roughly 89-foot YXT 24 Evolution can carry toys like additional boats, jet skis, and SUVs.
It comes with a deck-mounted crane for moving vehicles onto the boat or plopping them into the water.
The crane can lift 3.6 tons, and folds away when not in use.
According to Lynx, the 800-plus-square-foot main deck can also house helicopters, submarines, and scooters.
The vessel was conceived as "the ideal platform to extend an owner's ocean-based real estate without having to modify or replace their existing superyacht," Lynx says.
When all of the vehicles on board have been launched, the main deck can be transformed into a massive lounge area with sofas and beanbags.
Plus, there's a lower deck that's built for relaxing by the water.
It has a diving platform that extends out into the water.
The YXT 24 Evolution's interior can be fully customized to fit each client's needs.
This particular example offers extra room for guests ...
... complete with a large steam room and shower.
It also has a full kitchen ...
... but customers can opt for other amenities instead, like additional bedrooms, a sauna, a massage room, or a laundry room.
This YXT 24 is outfitted with a gym room below deck. It has a hatch that opens out onto the rear lounge area.
Plus, there are bunks for crew members.
Up in the helm, guests can take in 360-degree views ...
... or kick back and watch TV.
The YXT 24 Evolution has a top speed of 13 knots — about 15 mph — and a range of more than 1,600 miles.
That means a small crew can travel to a destination ahead of the main ship and set up before guests arrive.
Those seeking even more room can spring for the 111-foot YXT 34 Plus.
Robb Report recently wrote about the YXT 34.
Renderings show that its main deck has room for multiple boats, several jet skis, and a submarine.
Its crane can lift up to about eight tons, and its main deck can transform into a huge covered lounge area.
Plus, like on the YXT 24, there's room for a gym below deck.
Lynx Yachts didn't disclose pricing for the YXT series ...
... but a YXT 24 built in 2018 is currently listed for just under $5 million through The Yacht Market.
