My mate and I went on this boat party last summer and it was by far the most fun day of our entire Euro trip. I can’t wait to run it back again!

Amazing vibes whether you're in a group or alone. Great DJ and bar and just when it got really hot (as it tends to in Croatia) we stopped for a swim!

It was the highlight of our holiday and I couldn't recommend it more! If you're not too tired book the night boat party, "Split After Dark".

I've been to multiple boat parties around the world and Out To Sea Split is by far the best I've ever been on. The vibe from start to finish was incredible!

Splits biggest party with Out to Sea Split

Our day with Out to Sea Split, Croatia’s biggest boat party

Boat Party in Split Croatia is among young adults’ most popular day trips. Although we aren’t into partying hard, we wanted to experience what it would be like to attend Croatia’s biggest boat party – Out to Sea Split.

During our most recent visit to Split, we joined the Out to Sea Split Boat Party to share the first-hand experience with our readers.

Table of Contents

Choosing the Split Boat Party

Although there are few companies in Split organizing boat parties, we chose the Out to Sea Split Boat Party because it is known for its vibrant atmosphere and high-energy music. After researching online and reading reviews, we felt this would be the perfect choice for our day excursion.

Split Croatia Boat Party, Illustration

The Out to Sea Split Boat Party was founded in 2022 but has quickly become one of the most popular day activities in Split and on the entire Dalmatian Coast.

They provide a boat party and a swim stop in the famous Blue Lagoon, a pre-party at check-in, and free entry into one of Split’s most popular nightclubs , so we had to give it a go ourselves.

Split Croatia Boat Party, Our Experience

Our day began with check-in at Jimmy Bar, a small local cafe on Split’s waterfront. We and many other partygoers came to collect our wristbands. The hosts greeted us and explained how our day on the boat would look. Drinks were flowing, especially ciders, and this was a great time to meet everyone before boarding the boat.

Waiting for boarding, boat party split croatia

Upon boarding, each guest gets a free shot to swiftly take before either heading upstairs to the dancefloor/sundeck or choosing some comfortable booth seating downstairs. After a quick welcome announcement, a local DJ starts playing diverse tunes from tech house to club bangers to singalongs.

The boat easily fits over 200 people, and the dancing started when we left Split’s port. The range of 1L cocktail buckets was a crowd favorite, and staff ensured the ice didn’t even have a chance to melt as the beer funnels were brought out and drink-downing competitions began. One important, ideal point was that they accepted card payment on board, which most boats don’t offer.

After two hours of following the coastlines of a few islands, we reached the famous Blue Lagoon, just off Veliki Drvenik, for our swim stop. The swim stop helped everyone cool off, as it was a scorching day on the Adriatic.

Quieter corner at the bow of the boat, split boat party

At the front of the boat, there is a platform for those who aren’t bothered by heights, and on the lower deck, there is a ladder for entry and exit of the boat. Inflatables are set up and attached to create a floating platform for guests to swim and relax in the sun.

After a swim, it was the perfect time to tuck into some snacks; hot toasties, chips, and other finger foods were needed to fill everyone’s bellies before starting the party again.

A slow return to Split was capped off with a fantastic sunset, perfect for those trying to capture the perfect Instagram moment. The last hour was when the party started to turn up.

Atmosphere on the Out to Sea Split boat party

Everyone joining together on the dancefloor and singing songs from the likes of ABBA capped off what was an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime experience with Out to Sea. Their bartenders were friendly and always willing to give out shots any chance they could, and it set the tone for an amazing evening.

The boat arrived where it began, at Split’s port around 8 pm, and staff informed us that our wristbands also got us free entry into Bacvice Beach Club.

Or better yet, if we didn’t want the party to stop there, we were offered a discount to join the night parties they host with Split After Dark . Split After Dark is a mixture of a bar crawl but with a crazy neon nighttime boat party as one of the stops, including free entry into the nightclub.

Swim stop in the Blue Lagoon during Split Boat party day trip

All in all, it was a very worthwhile experience. Even if you aren’t into partying but don’t mind some music, this tour is much more affordable than the usual Blue Lagoon tour.

And, with the added value of the free welcome shots, free VIP nightclub entrance, free photography, and the atmosphere that Out to Sea Split creates, we recommend this as a must-do while visiting Split, Croatia.

If you want to join either of these experiences, we have a discount code: FRANKABOUTCROATIA, which gives everyone 10% off.

Yacht Selection

Choosing the right yacht is an essential part of planning your Yacht Week Croatia adventure. The Yacht Week offers a range of different yachts to cater to various group sizes, budgets, and preferences.

When selecting a yacht, here are a few factors to consider:

1. Group Size: Determine the number of people in your crew. Yachts can accommodate different group sizes, from smaller yachts for intimate groups to larger yachts for bigger parties. Make sure the yacht has enough cabins and sleeping arrangements to comfortably accommodate everyone.

2. Yacht Type: Consider the type of yacht that suits your preferences. The Yacht Week offers a variety of options, including monohulls, catamarans, and luxury yachts. Monohulls offer a more traditional sailing experience, while catamarans provide spacious and stable platforms for socializing. Luxury yachts provide additional amenities and a higher level of comfort.

3. Amenities: Check the amenities available onboard the yacht. Some yachts offer additional features such as air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, swimming platforms, and water toys. These amenities can enhance your sailing experience and provide extra fun and convenience.

4. Budget: Set a budget for your yacht rental. Yachts range in price based on their size, age, and level of luxury. Consider the overall cost of the yacht rental, including fuel, provisioning, and any additional fees. It’s important to align your budget with the type and size of the yacht you choose.

5. Skipper or Bareboat: Decide whether you want to charter the yacht with a skipper or as a bareboat. Having a professional skipper onboard can provide peace of mind and let you fully enjoy the experience, especially if you’re not an experienced sailor. If you have the necessary qualifications and experience, you may opt for a bareboat charter and take the helm yourself.

6. Age and Condition: Take into consideration the age and condition of the yacht. Newer yachts may offer upgraded features and a more modern design. However, older yachts can still be charming and well-maintained. Research the yacht’s history and reviews to ensure you choose a reliable and comfortable vessel.

7. Yacht Charter Company: Work with a reputable yacht charter company or The Yacht Week organizers to book your yacht. Ensure they have a good track record of providing quality yachts and reliable service. Read reviews and gather recommendations to make an informed decision.

It’s important to note that the availability of specific yachts may vary depending on the time of booking. Popular yachts tend to book up quickly, so it’s recommended to book your yacht well in advance to secure your preferred choice.

Remember, selecting the right yacht will contribute to the overall enjoyment of your Yacht Week Croatia experience. Consider your group’s size, preferences, and budget to choose a yacht that meets your needs and ensures an unforgettable week of sailing and celebration.

Crewing Options

When participating in The Yacht Week Croatia, there are various crewing options available to accommodate different preferences and group dynamics. Here are some crewing options to consider:

1. Full Crew: If you have a group of friends or a pre-existing crew, you can book a full yacht and sail together. This option allows you to have full control over who you share the yacht with, ensuring a comfortable and familiar environment. You can customize the experience according to your group’s preferences and have a cohesive dynamic throughout the trip.

2. Partial Crew: If you have a smaller group or are open to meeting new people, you can book a partial yacht and be paired with other individuals or smaller crews. This option allows you to join a diverse and sociable group, giving you the opportunity to make new friends and forge connections with people from all over the world. It can create a dynamic and lively atmosphere, with a mix of different personalities and backgrounds onboard.

3. Cabin Charter: If you’re an individual traveler or have a small group, you can opt for a cabin charter. This option allows you to reserve individual cabins on a shared yacht. You’ll be paired with others who have chosen the cabin charter option, and you’ll share the common areas and facilities of the yacht. Cabin chartering is a great way to meet like-minded travelers and experience The Yacht Week Croatia without needing to gather a full crew.

Regardless of which crewing option you choose, it’s important to maintain a respectful and considerate attitude towards your fellow crew members. Communication and cooperation are key to ensuring a harmonious and enjoyable experience for everyone onboard.

Participating in The Yacht Week is not just about sailing—it’s also about building connections, fostering friendships, and creating incredible memories together. Embrace the opportunity to meet new people, learn about different cultures, and share adventures with like-minded individuals from around the world.

For those who are new to sailing or want to enhance their sailing skills, The Yacht Week offers crew training courses. These courses provide participants the chance to learn the basics of sailing, navigation, and boat handling. It’s a great option for those who want to be actively involved in the sailing aspect of the trip and gain a deeper understanding of the craft.

Overall, The Yacht Week provides different crewing options to cater to various preferences and group sizes. Whether you choose to sail with your own crew or join others on a shared yacht, the focus remains on creating an inclusive and vibrant community of sailors and party-goers. No matter which crewing option you choose, you’re bound to have an unforgettable experience sailing along the stunning coastline of Croatia.

When it comes to food and drinks during The Yacht Week Croatia, there are several options to ensure you’re well-fed and hydrated throughout your sailing adventure.

Many yacht charter companies offer provisioning services, allowing you to pre-order everything you need for meals and snacks. You can choose from a variety of food and drink options, including fresh produce, meats, seafood, beverages, and snacks. This is a convenient option if you prefer to cook your own meals onboard.

2. Dining Out: If you prefer to indulge in local cuisine or take a break from cooking, you can explore the restaurants and cafes in the towns and villages you visit. Taste traditional Croatian dishes, such as fresh seafood, grilled meats, and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine. From beachside cafes to elegant waterfront restaurants, there are plenty of dining options to satisfy your appetite and immerse yourself in the local gastronomy.

3. Onboard Cooking: If you enjoy cooking or want to experiment with meals onboard, the kitchenette on your yacht provides the necessary equipment to prepare your own dishes. You can create delicious meals using the provisions you’ve stocked up on, showcasing your culinary skills and catering to your crew’s preferences. Cooking onboard also allows for flexibility in meal timings and dietary restrictions.

4. Group Dinners: The Yacht Week offers various group dinner events, where you and your crew can join other sailors for a shared dining experience. These events often include a catered meal or barbeque, allowing you to mingle with other participants, exchange stories, and create connections over a delicious feast. Group dinners are a great opportunity to socialize and meet fellow sailors from different yachts.

When it comes to drinks, be prepared to enjoy refreshing beverages throughout your sailing adventure:

1. Bring Your Own: You have the option to bring your own beverages, such as your favorite wine, spirits, or mixers. Pack your preferred drinks in plastic bottles or cans for safety and convenience. Make sure to check the alcohol policies and any restrictions or regulations in Croatia before bringing alcohol onboard.

2. Local Drinks: Embrace the local culture by trying Croatian wines, beers, and spirits. Croatia boasts a rich wine-making tradition, with various regions producing excellent wines. Sample different varieties and discover your favorites. Additionally, try local beers and spirits to fully immerse yourself in the Croatian drinking experience.

3. Beach Bars and Nightlife: Along the coastline of Croatia, there are numerous beach bars, clubs, and nightspots where you can enjoy a wide range of drinks. From refreshing cocktails to ice-cold beers, these establishments offer a vibrant atmosphere to socialize and celebrate with your crew and fellow sailors.

Remember to drink responsibly and within your limits. Stay hydrated throughout the day to combat the sun and heat, especially when engaging in water activities and partying under the Croatian sun.

Whether you choose to cook on board, dine out at local restaurants, or enjoy group dinners and drinks with fellow sailors, there are plenty of options to satisfy your hunger and quench your thirst during The Yacht Week Croatia. Indulge in delicious meals and refreshing drinks as you create unforgettable memories along the beautiful Croatian coastline.

5. Full Moon Parties: If you’re lucky enough to be on The Yacht Week during a full moon, don’t miss out on the famous full moon parties. These events take place on secluded beaches and offer a magical setting under the moonlight. Enjoy bonfires, live music, and spectacular performances as you dance and celebrate late into the night.

Throughout The Yacht Week, you’ll have the opportunity to attend themed parties, dress up in eye-catching costumes, and participate in various events organized by The Yacht Week team. From white parties to neon-themed events, every night delivers a unique and unforgettable experience.

It’s important to keep in mind that while partying is a significant part of The Yacht Week Croatia, it’s essential to party responsibly and respect the environment and local communities. Safety and Regulations

Ensuring the safety and adhering to regulations are paramount during The Yacht Week Croatia. Here are some important considerations to keep in mind to have a safe and enjoyable experience:

1. Skipper Guidance: Each yacht is assigned a professional skipper who is responsible for the safe operation of the vessel. Follow the skipper’s instructions regarding sailing procedures, anchorages, and safety protocols. They have the expertise and experience to navigate the waters and handle any unforeseen situations.

2. Weather Awareness: Stay informed about weather conditions throughout your journey. Be aware of any potential storms or adverse weather and take necessary precautions. Your skipper will have access to weather updates and can advise you on the best course of action to ensure your safety.

3. Safety Equipment: Ensure that the yacht is equipped with essential safety equipment, including life jackets, flares, fire extinguishers, and first aid kits. Familiarize yourself with the location and usage of safety equipment onboard. Ensure that everyone in your crew knows where the safety equipment is stored and how to use it in case of emergencies.

4. Respect Local Regulations: Familiarize yourself with the local laws and regulations of Croatia. Observe speed limits, navigation rules, and any other regulations set by local authorities. It’s important to respect the environment, marine life, and the communities you visit during your journey.

6. Responsible Alcohol Consumption: While enjoying the vibrant party atmosphere during The Yacht Week, it’s important to drink responsibly. Exercise moderation and be aware of your alcohol consumption. Stay hydrated and plan ahead for safe transportation after consuming alcohol, such as arranging designated drivers or utilizing taxi services.

7. Swim Safety: Take necessary precautions when swimming or engaging in water activities. Be mindful of water depth and currents, especially in unfamiliar areas. Avoid diving into shallow water and always assess the conditions before cliff jumping or engaging in any water-based activities.

8. Emergency Contacts: Save emergency contact numbers including local authorities, Coast Guard, and medical services in your phone. Ensure that all crew members are aware of these emergency contacts and the location of onboard safety equipment.

Remember to respect the natural surroundings, wildlife, and local communities during your sailing adventure. Dispose of waste responsibly, avoid littering, and be mindful of noise levels, especially during overnight stays.

It’s important to note that safety is a shared responsibility. Communicate openly with your crew members, listen to the guidance of your skipper, and take necessary precautions to ensure that everyone onboard has a safe and enjoyable experience during The Yacht Week Croatia.

Split Party Cruises: Best Boat Parties in Dalmatia

Party Cruises in Croatia

Split party cruise is the perfect combination of relaxation and exploration. Some of the best parties in Croatia are boat parties, where you can meet young travelers from every corner of the globe. Think of it as a combination of sailing and music festival.

Busabout Gullet Ship

Each day you’ll have a relaxing schedule. You’ll sail early in the morning, and stop for a swim on the way to new destination. Sometimes you’ll just jump off the boat into the middle of the Adriatic, while sometimes your captain will take you for a swim at one of many stunning beaches.

All you need is a couple of shirts and shorts, light sweater, same towels and few swimsuits, and an adventurous spirit. The best part of these party cruises is just sitting on the deck, catching rays, reading, and just enjoying life. And in the evenings you’ll join partying crowds with plenty of drinks and great music.

On these cruises for young (from 18 to 35 years old) you can experience different music festivals and party destinations.

Don’t expect to be on Caribbean luxurious cruising liners, but on simple, small and clean wooden gullets . The capacity of these small ships is for 12 to 28 people. The cabins are basic and small and not sound-proof, reachable by narrow steep stairs. Some ships have private bathrooms for each cabin, while others are shared.

The shared bathroom boats are cheaper and are preferred by a younger (mostly early to mid twenties), more inclined to partying. The ensuite boats, have “older” passengers (mostly mid-twenties to mid-thirties) and less inclined to vivacious party nights.

Busabout has three fantastic party cruises. These will help you make the most out of Ultra Europe festival , but also enable you to visit several other exciting destinations.

Private Boat Party Cruise

Split boat party

Since recently you can rent a large private party boat in Split. “Sveti Damjan” party boat can accommodate up to 104 guests. It’s equipped with a bar and dance floor. Fuel, insurance and skipper are all included.

Price is a bit steep if you’re only bringing a few friends, but very affordable for large groups. Organized party cruises I mentioned above are cheaper but will probably include other travelers on the boat. This private party cruise is more expensive but you can have the boat all for yourself, and organize sightseeing trips as you like.

This Split party cruise is only available on request. You can find more information and request a quote and availability here !

Alternatively you can check TourRadar’s cruise offers and find one to your liking (check their Young Adults category here ). You can request a quote for private sailing on each cruise. Many skippers will be happy to accommodate all kinds of travelers and plans.

Split party cruises are plentiful as you can see. If you’re looking for a boat party with friends you can easily book some of the multi-day or one-day cruises I mentioned.

Nightlife in Split can only offer so much, and I’m certain you will not regret some of the other popular party destinations in the Adriatic such as Hvar or Dubrovnik . Many can be visited even on a one-day trip, and they will easily fill your Instagram profile with tons of beautiful sights.

Even if you’re traveling alone, boat parties are an excellent way to meet new friends from all around the world and ensure your trip to Split is full of amazing memories.

Yacht Week in Croatia - Spend This Summer Partying on a Yacht in Croatia

How about we tell you that there is a week-long party extravaganza organized annually at a serene, virgin, and underrated destination in Eastern Europe? What's more? There is a twist here -the parties take place on the yachts! Sounds exciting?  Croatia , as a few of us might be aware, is a small European country with an enviably long coastline along the Adriatic Sea. Owing to the long coast, there are islands, harbors, and quaint towns aplenty!

Yacht Week In Croatia

If you are a hardcore party animal, the Yacht Week in Croatia is the place to be! There are around 30-35 yachts anchored at the harbour where you are also housed. This seven day long floating parties are every party lover's paradise! Sip your drink, watch movies, dance to your heart's content, chill with others, the to-do list is quite endless!

What Is Yacht Week?

The Yacht Week is a famous seven-day festival hosted every year in six different locations, with Croatia being one. In brief, the festival is nothing less than a full-fledged water adventure. It includes a vast selection of activities organized by The Yacht Week. One of the rules of the Yacht Week is to have an equal number of participants, both male and female, who have earned their way into the yacht. The occurrences at Yacht Week remain a mystery as one would get on board having absolutely no idea as to how the next seven days would be beside the standard understanding of the festival. This limited knowledge regarding the itinerary and schedules is what makes the festival all the more exciting.

Where to Book for Yacht Week in Croatia?

Start with trying to gather your like-minded friends around and book a boat, or if you intend to go solo, make sure to book a cabin for yourself on one of the yachts early on!

Make sure to book from their official website (www.theyachtweek.com). The boats per route are limited, so book in advance!

Yacht Week in Croatia

Yacht Week Routes

Every destination is unique in its way and has different offerings regarding party levels, local exploration and culture. All sorts of travellers are welcome here, so there are slabs to choose from-Fast paced, mid-paced and easy/slow-paced! Both the routes of Croatia - the original & ultra-festival come under the fast-paced category. The festivities go on throughout the day, and you can enjoy non-stop activities and have the time of your lives!

Dates Of Yacht Week in Croatia

We know we've got your full attention! So what about the dates?

What is a Typical Day at the Yacht Week in Croatia like?

Yacht Week in Croatia

A perfect way to unwind, relax and let your hair down, you need not have a hardcore schedule, and the itinerary is just what you need to have fun and chill at the same time, ensuring that you have a memorable experience at the party! But to give you a rough idea, a typical day would be something like:

Yacht Week in Croatia Prices and Categories

Yacht Week Yachts

As they say, good things don't come easy and if you're wondering what would the cost of the trip be like, let us give you a brief idea.

The overall cost of the Yacht week in Croatia depends on aspects of your destination, itinerary, the group size and the kind of yacht you would like to charter! You either have an option to book a full yacht (can accommodate a group size of 6-12 people) or a cabin (for two people) on one of the yachts.

The former has three categories to choose from; the rates are per person - Standard (starts at $ 550), Premium (starting $ 752) and Premium Plus ($ 777 onwards). The prices for renting a cabin would range from $ 650 to $ 995 per person, depending on the package inclusions.

However, be prepared to shell out additional money on the airfare, airport transfers, and other exclusions. Do read everything clearly before booking!

Good experiences don't come cheap, right?

Hiring a skipper

Skippers are yacht professionals certified in the sport. They maintain the safety and security of the audience and ensure their excitement meets the perfect experience. These licensed sailors who would be onboard with the crew, also teach those who are willing to learn the art of yachting.

Skipper hiring is an easy process; it would require a couple of online methods. But what is difficult is pinning down the right skipper for you, regarding experience, certification and hospitality. Here are some of the websites through which you could get in touch with your personal skipper:

Yacht Week Croatia: the ultimate guide to what and when to wear

the-yacht-week-croatia

When I went for yacht week a few years ago, I did not have any expectations and I packed the same outfits I would generally take on any other beach vacation. However, I felt unprepared all the time and wish someone would have told me not only what to pack but what to wear to the themed parties. This ultimate Yacht Week (YW) outfits guide has you covered!

Day 1: Trogir marina – Padre bar

Woohoo, you’ve made it to TYW Croatia ! This is your first day at the marina where you meet your skipper and the YW crew. Check-in takes place between 1-4 pm, once done you can get to know your crew and enjoy a cold beverage at the marina cafe. Your yacht will be accessible by 6 pm.

Wear something casual today because you will have a long day full of unpacking, setting up your room, and grocery shopping for the upcoming trip.

the-yacht-week-croatia

Once set, upscale your look to a casual elegant attire. I would say rather casual than elegant  – a silk top or a jumpsuit but no heels or dresses. Why? You will be getting to the opening party at the Padre Bar via a dingy, so you will appreciate comfy shoes and shorts/skorts.  It is a cool (but a bit sketchy) open-air bar located in medieval ruins.

Day 2: Trogir – Vis

You probably woke up when the boat was on its way to Vis. The sea breeze feels amazing so put on a swimsuit and get a tan on the deck for the day. When you dock you can either chill on a floatie until dinner or go explore the town.

the-yacht-week-croatia

If you picked the second option, after wandering around Vis, head straight to the dinner followed by a party at Fort George. It is one of the most beautiful locations in Croatia with stunning 360 views. That said, the outfits should be on point! The theme for the night is Tropical Retro. Here are some outfit inspiration ideas:

Please avoid the following outfits: swimsuits, wank tops, vests, nudity/ transparent clothing, or novelty onesies.

the-yacht-week-croatia

Day 3: Vis to Hvar (St Tropez of Croatia)

Hvar is called the Saint Tropez of Croatia for a reason. You will start your day with a party in the middle of the sea! Grab a funny swimsuit and a floatie for a Circle Raft. It is Yacht Week’s iconic party where all the yachts circle around a famous DJ in the middle.

Yacht Week's iconic Circle Raft party

Bring tons of sunscreen, a one-piece swimsuit, minimum jewelry, a hat, and a pair of shades that you are ok to lose. I was not ready for this party at all, so here are some funny swimsuits I can imagine wearing (I wish someone else would have prepared this outfit guide before):

In the afternoon, dress casually to explore Hvar, eat dalmatian seafood, or enjoy a cocktail in the Laganini cabanas amongst the trees. Hvar is a two-day stop, so take it easy on your first-day explorations and meet other yacht weekers for a sunset party at the Hula Hula beach bar. It is said that there is no better place to watch the sunset than there. When the sun goes down, find a dinner spot in town, then head to a tiny Kiva Bar – a YW favorite spot.

Day 4: Palmizana, Hvar

In the morning put on your activewear for HIIT Class or join a Run club and hit the trains of Palmizana.

Explore Hvar, visit the fortress, and wine cellars, grab lunch on the Riva, and then join the Riviera Chic Party. Or come back to your yacht after lunch, freshen up and catch a transfer over to Carpe Diem Beach for the party.

the-yacht-week-croatia

Nothing says summer like white! Riviera Chic Party is YW’s famous white party, so put on your best whites, be beautiful, and elegant, sip champagne and get ready to be snapped like a celebrity!

Think classy white or stylish stripes and nautical colors to achieve an effortlessly 1950s chic look. Avoid tank tops (men), swimwear, flip-flops, or beachwear.

the-yacht-week-croatia

After the party wander around the cobbled streets of Hvar and stop at one of the restaurants for some food with your crew.

Day 5: Hvar – Bol

Explore the beautiful town of Bol, walking along its lovely seafront promenade all the way to the Golden Horn beach.

the-yacht-week-croatia

Put on your sportswear to do a free yoga class in the afternoon, play beach volleyball, and participate in parasailing, water tubing, and other beach activities.

the-yacht-week-croatia

In the evening, dress casually and sip a cocktail at Auro Beach Bar or explore the Roman ruins in the woods over the beach.

Have dinner and get ready to catch the free transfer to the party at Club 585.

Day 6: Bol to Starigrad

From Bol, you will be heading to one of Croatia’s beautiful natural bays, raft all the yachts together and stay overnight on a yacht watching the shooting stars.

Prepare your floatie and a swimsuit for another traditional yacht week-style tunnel raft party at Starigrad Bay with a DJ. Enjoy the party drifting from the yacht to yacht on your floaties.

the-yacht-week-croatia

Return to your yacht, cook dinner onboard, have a relaxing evening together, play board games, and read books. Get a blanket and lay on deck watching shooting stars and falling asleep – where else you can have such a magical experience!

Day 7: Stari Grad to Trogir – Regatta Day

the-yacht-week-croatia

The Yachtweek Regatta is one of the biggest events of the week and my personal favorite! All the boats sail together while each crew shows off their costumes in an attempt to win the best theme. Throw on your wigs, deck your crew out and get ready for a regatta day – this is what you brought fun dress costumes for!

Regatta winners are chosen based on sailing time, atmosphere onboard, clothing and decorations. So, think of something big, bright, and catchy for the costumes, easy dance moves, and music on board. Ideally, you should pick a theme and dance or at least make some synchronized moves! My favorites were “Bae Watch” (a few boats had them), butterflies with big wings, and an Aladdin-inspired theme.

the-yacht-week-croatia

In the evening when you return back to Marinas – pack your bag, clean the yacht and get ready for a Closing party where the Regatta winner team will be announced.

Sunsail Expands Charter/Flotilla Options in Croatia and Greece

  • By Cruising World Staff
  • September 20, 2024

Greece

Charter company Sunsail has unveiled its newest charter/flotilla offerings, including a week’s voyage from Dubrovnik, Croatia, and a new flotilla route from Lefkas, Greece. Departures will be available starting in summer 2025.

“Libertas” Flotilla in Dubrovnik, Croatia

Libertas, which means freedom, is the theme of Sunsail’s new flotilla from Dubrovnik in Croatia, which includes a packed schedule where guests follow in the footsteps of famous explorers as they sail along the Dalmatian Coast. Guests will have the opportunity to experience the unique tidal lakes of Mljet National Park, catch some rays on the many beautiful beaches and enjoy a short island hop in the week-long sailing adventure.

The adventure starts in the medieval walled city of Dubrovnik Old Town, where guests can explore the bustling streets and history of the iconic Croatian town before island hopping around the country’s coastline.

Dubrovnik

“This new flotilla is a great entry point for those who are new to sailing, while being perfect locations for families and groups who want to explore somewhere new,” said Caroline Barbour, UK marketing manager for Sunsail. “The flotilla route also offers new and experienced sailors the chance to relish in both old and new Croatia, whilst immersing themselves in the breathtaking views and experiences of the stunning islands, coupled with the options of watersports activities and delicious eateries.”

Upon arrival, a serene bay surrounded by lush greenery awaits, perfect for a refreshing swim and snorkeling, among the tranquil atmosphere and camaraderie of fellow sailors.

Kefalonia Flotilla in Lefkas, Greece

Flotilla guests in Lefkas

Sunsail has also introduced a new flotilla route for Lefkas, Greece, from the summer of 2025. The new route will take guests from Lefkas Marina through Sivota in Lefkada into Kefalonia and Vathi, Meganissi, before returning to Lefkas again. The seven-day trip explores the historic islands and sparkling Ionian Sea, featuring sheltered anchorages, calm conditions and spectacular views. Currently, prices start from approximately $3,700 (with the Early Booking Offer) for two people across seven days.

“We have refined our ever-popular Lefkas flotilla, offering guests even more opportunity to explore Greece’s Ionian Coast and many of the Islands, including the imposing ruins of the medieval Santa Maura Fortress, exhilarating watersports the island is loved for, or simply to relax on the quiet beaches,” said Barbour.

Sunsail urges that its flotillas are ideal for first-time sailors and families, where guests can experience the Ionian’s most unmissable sights with a group of new friends.
