Dutch shipyard KM Yachtbuilders has announced that it will be building a second Pelagic 77 sailing yacht with construction scheduled to begin later this month. The project is being built as a sistership for the same owner of the first Pelagic 77, Vinson of Antarctica, which was launched in 2021.

New Pelagic 77 launched. A beautiful dawn accompanied the launch of the new Pelagic 77 at KM Yachtbuilders in Holland on 24 February 2021. She was designed boat by Tony Castro Yacht Design to sail the most hostile and remote seas of the world. Her official name is now Vinson of Antarctica named after the highest mountain on the Antarctic continent.
