Astondoa’s passion for creating and building yachts began in 1916, with the work of Jesús Astondoa Martínez. Three generations at the service of the recreational sailing sector and over 90 years of accumulated experience guarantee a commitment to technology, design and innovation – all elements which have been fundamental to the group’s current strength.

Astondoa is represented by our modern, elegant 143-foot mega yacht. Christened the “Samurai One”, this is a craft of advanced engineering design built in 2007 and refitted in 2011 with a steel hull and an aluminium superstructure. Manufactured at the Vigo boatyard, this undoubtedly represents Astondoa’s entrance into the universe of large yachts.

Throughout the more than ninety years of existence, Astilleros Astondoa has kept its key secret – the family spirit of the business. A shipyard where hopes and dreams are built, all entirely custom-designed with the vessel’s owner in mind, so that just as there are no two people alike, neither are there two Astondoas alike.

The growth seen by the company over recent decades has made Astondoa Spain’s largest yacht builder, and one of the biggest in Europe. A perfect track record of hard work and commitment to quality, with over 3,000 boats built and production figures currently reaching 100 units per year.

Astondoa offers one of the most extensive ranges on the market and builds boats ranging from 40 to 200 feet in length. A variety of models and services to satisfy all requirements.

Astondoa’s central headquarters are in Santa Pola, a prime location overlooking the sea and only 10 minutes from Alicante International Airport. Covering an area of over 30,000m2, it has facilities for the construction of yachts up to 122 feet in length.

Astondoa also owns other facilities totalling 70,000m2, where highly specialised work is carried out by more than 500 people, who make up one of the company’s greatest assets: its human capital.

ASTONDOA TOP-DECK

Astondoa’s newest line, Top-Deck extending from 51 to 63 feet with a project to expand to a 120-foot unit, is proof of the brand’s pledge to modernity, luxury, design, comfort and functionality. The first model of the series, Astondoa 63 Top Deck, made its public debut at the 2012 Miami International Boat Show in the United States. It also gathered great reviews at the Cannes Boat Show in France during the month of September 2013.

The yacht’s elegant lines and innovative use of forms, materials and textures, give this model an attractive casual design and intelligent performance. The yacht, designed by Luiz de Basto, was created with fun and enjoyment in mind. It comes with Jet Ski, mini-submarine, water slides, Jacuzzi, outdoor terraces and comfortable lounges.

The 63 Top Deck is distinctive in many ways, and the company plans to include a flybridge in the deluxe model. On the other hand, a side exit next to the spacious storage space for all kind of special toys, make this design unique and very functional

Soft lines, careful decoration, and optimum use of space both inside and outside define this series of yachts. Furthermore, each yacht can be customized according to the client’s specifications through Astondoa’s Custom Line Design.

Drettmann Yachts

1970 founding of the world wide success of Drettman Yachts was laid - all began with Dierk & Traute Drettmann who set up a small business selling pre owned boats. 1989 their son Albert followed their footsteps together with his wife Claudia and took over the management of the company. In 1993 building of the Elegance- and Bandido Yachts range started. Three futher brands, the DDC, DEY and DMY followed and reached international acclaim. In 2006 the representative headoffice in Bremen was built – situated directly on the river Weser with own moorings and show room. Overall 10.000 yachts were sold by Drettmann, from a small tender up to a Superyacht – approx. 1600 new boats in sizes between 10m to 55m were sold. In a permanent exhibition with up to 100 pre-owned boats of different brands Drettmann Yachts is well known as one of Europes biggest indoor show rooms.

Over the last 44 years Drettmann Yachts has worked together with renowed boat manufacturers such as Neptunus, Cobalt, Jade and Horizon. Over 20 years ago Drettmann started building their own brands. The Elegance and Bandido range, at the shipyard Horizon and Jade in Taiwan. These two brands were very successfull and over 300 boats have been built. Today Drettmann Yachts is one of the biggest dealers for pre-owned yachts in Europe. The next Generation of Drettmann Yachts engineered in Germany now under construction.
