ECHO 2 is located at the “Key West Historic Seaport” which is downtown in Old Key West at the famous Key West Bight. The Historic Seaport “Harbor Walk” goes right around the water’s edge and leads right to ECHO’s dock along side the famous “Boat House Restaurant at Turtle Kraals”. Spend the day on the Harbor Walk before and after your ECHO trip and visit all the great shops, restaurants and bars and galleries. This is where all the locals hang out!

Hindu Charters is a family-owned, local business sailing out of both Key West, Florida and Provincetown, Massachusetts. Schooner Hindu, one of the oldest, most historic wooden schooners in the Florida Keys, has been sailing out of P-Town since 1946. Built in 1925, Hindu is undergoing a top to bottom historic restoration just in time for her 100 th anniversary. Visit the Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum where you can take in some history about the writer and meet a legendary six toed cat. About Your Crew

Captain Tom and his wife Denise have been sailing for over two decades.   Over the course of the last three years they have sailed over 4,000 nm along the east coast of US and the Caribbean Sea.  Tom holds a USCG OUPV Captain's License.  Prior to their most recent adventure, Tom was a Research Physicist and his wife a Public Relations Manager.  Bow and Harry our French Hounds server at the pleasure of our guest or vacation at a nearby pet resort during charters.

We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. Any trip canceled before 24 hours in advance will be refunded in full. Our captains assess the weather on the day of the scheduled activity. If they determine that the trip will be unsafe, the trip will be postponed or canceled. We will immediately try to reschedule our guests’ activity if possible, but we will issue full refunds if need be.

This was a great sunset cruise experience. The boat was clean and accommodating. The view of the Key West sunset was spectacular. The drinks were delicious and plentiful. I would highly recommend this trip!

Great time, well worth it. Crew were knowledgeable and helpful. My daughters (both in their 20’s) thoroughly enjoyed. The sunset sail gives great views of the island from the ocean. Highly recommend this sunset cruise!

Here’s a look at six different types of Key West boat tours you could book today.

6 Key West Boat Tours to Get You Out On the Water

You might have noticed that all the top must-do Key West excursions involve getting on a boat. There is no shortage of different kinds of boat tours in Key West. Here’s a breakdown of the six most popular Key West boat tours. 

Fishing Charters

People come from all over the world to fish in the Keys. While other seaside towns have great offshore fishing, Key West is unique in that there are multiple types of fishing you can do here. The trick with any fishing charter is to find the best. You can pick from private or shared fishing charters in Key West . 

Deep-sea anglers will want to head offshore in a big charter boat for a half or full-day charter. Once out past the reef line, these boats will troll heavy tackle for big fish — marlin, sailfish, mahi-mahi, wahoo, tuna, and whatever else they might hook into. The Kraken? Maybe.

Flats fishermen will want to find someone with a skinny water skiff to take them into the backcountry. Here, they’ll stalk the shy and not-so-shy: bonefish, tarpon, snook, permit, and others. 

In between the two, there are about a million variations of light and medium tackle fishing. Lots of charters take you out to try your luck bottom fishing along the reef line, wrecks, or mangrove creeks. Snapper, grouper, hogfish, 

Snorkeling and Diving Trips

If you want to see the only living coral reef in the contiguous US, you’ll want one of the Key West boat tours that offer snorkeling , diving, or both. 

Snorkel tours are geared toward beginners. They usually favor shallow reefs that have little current and good visibility. Be sure to check out my ultimate first-timer’s guide to Key West coral reef snorkeling . 

Diving tours, on the other hand, tend to find deeper spots where the divers will have more room to play. While some of these may allow snorkelers to come along, they’re usually less than spectacular since the water will be deeper, and it will be harder to see anything. Diving charters are best left to certified divers, and snorkel charters are better if you don’t want to deal with all that gear. 

Most snorkel and dive trips last 3–4 hours and hit up two spots. If you’re really into the reefs, it’s worth stopping and taking tours from a few islands on your way to Key West. Key Largo, Islamorada, Marathon, and Looe Key have excellent snorkeling and dive sites, too.

Sunset Sails

Finding the absolute best places to watch the sunset in Key West is the name of the game down here. For my money, I think that getting out on a boat is the tops. You get away from the crowds at Mallory Square, and you stand the best chance of getting a glimpse of the elusive Green Flash. 

There are many flavors of sunset cruises in Key West. Several old-timey sailing schooners offer tours during the season, plus the more run-of-the-mill sailboats and power boats. You can charter any sort of small boat to take small groups out, from sailboats to catamarans to pontoon boats. 

Sunset cruises may be champagne sails or BYOB — be sure to check before you book. Some are all-inclusive, and some are bare-bones. 

Dinner Cruises

Several big boats leave Key West harbor every evening for buffet-style dinner cruises. It’s a great way to enjoy a meal at sea and catch the sunset. Be sure to read the reviews and understand what you’re getting. Some of these boats are “party boats,” where the vibe is more ‘spring break beach club’ than a classy dinner out. Some even have live music and space to dance, even. No matter which one you book, check what’s included in the bar and what costs extra!

Many people who have taken dinner cruises admit that it would have been better to take a nice sunset cruise and then find a nice restaurant for dinner afterward. Combining the two activities reduces your enjoyment of both. 

Eco-tours describe anything from group dolphin-watching cruises to quiet birdwatching and snorkeling trips. No one ever promises you’ll see wildlife on these trips, but most captains know where to go for the best chances. There’s a lot of wildlife in the waters surrounding Key West. 

Some of the best eco-tours are done from kayak or paddleboard. To find a good one, you’ll want to head out of town towards some of the quieter Keys to the north . You want to be able to do your paddling away from town in the real backcountry. 

Sandbar Trips

One way to get a little taste of everything the Key West boat tours can offer is to take a sandbar charter . Like fishing and snorkeling trips, you can go on crowded “headboats” or a private small boat . Either way, you’ll spend some time cruising around the islands. There’s a little bit of eco-tour since you’ll very likely see dolphins, birds, and maybe manatees or sharks. 

Sandbars are our best beaches. Far away from town, these incredible sandbars in Key West are uncovered at low tide. They’re the perfect place to escape and relax like you’re on your own private island. But, on busy weekends, the party comes to you!

Key West is a very popular snorkeling destination as we are home to North America’s only living coral barrier reef. The reef is protected by Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and is home to over 500 species of fish and an abundance or corals. Fury also supports local reef restoration efforts by donating a portion of every snorkel ticket to Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary.

The Captain will choose the best reef destination for snorkeling based on the marine conditions of the day. There are several possible reef locations you may visit: Sand Key, Rock Key, Eastern Dry Rocks and Western Sambo, just to name a few.

Our experienced and CPR certified Fury crew will give you detailed instructions as you sail out to the Living Coral Reef. They will go over the best practices and safe snorkel procedures for your time at the reef.

We will provide you with a mask, snorkel and buoyancy compensator and fins for snorkeling. You are more than welcome to bring your own gear if you wish.

Yes, we have a stairway to the sea, which makes it very easy for you to get on and off the catamaran. The Captain may also open a gate on the side of the catamaran for experienced guests to jump in.

Yes. All of our vessels are equipped with a fresh water rinse for guests to use.

We do not provide food on this tour but you are more than welcome to bring food with you, just as long as nothing is in a glass container and it fits in a small soft cooler. Water and soda are available before you snorkel and beer, wine and mimosas are available after you finish snorkeling.

Yes. Fury will provide you with snorkel instruction and equipment, but you must know how to swim to participate in any snorkel adventure. We take you about 7 miles offshore of Key West and once in the ocean, there will not be a place for you to touch or stand, while snorkeling. All guests will receive flotation devices for their safety. Fury crew is present to assist in an emergency, but will not be able to solely attend to one party for the duration of the trip. For those unable to swim, we suggest booking a trip aboard our Glass Bottom Boat, where you can see the reef and marine life from the comfort of the boat. Guests are also always welcome to relax and enjoy the amenities aboard our spacious catamarans, during the snorkel portion of any tour.

All participants must sign a liability waiver to participate in snorkeling and other adventures.

No, we do not provide parking at any of our check in locations, but you can use street parking, pay to park lots or parking garages.

It is necessary for Fury to collect your paid in full voucher and give you a boarding pass. This helps us maintain an accurate count for the Coast Guard. You will also be required to fill out various liability waiver forms for the activities.

Yes! To receive a military discount on any Fury trip, please book through the MWR office on Key West’s Sigsbee base by calling 305-293-4174.

Most Fury tours will require the minor guest’s  nautral parent be present at check in to sign them in. Please call 888-976-0899 for specific policy details for your preferred tour.

All guests are provided with Buoyancy Compensators for snorkeling. Life jackets are onboard for everyone in case of emergency.

Fury Water Adventures does not operate in unsafe weather conditions, but a light rain shower is not a deterrent. The Captain will assess the weather and should the Captain determine that the conditions are unsafe to run the tour, the tour may be postponed or it will be canceled. If a trip is canceled by Fury Water Adventures for any reason, every effort will be made to reschedule the trip during your stay in Key West. If you are unable to reschedule, you will have the option of receiving a voucher for a future trip or receiving a full refund. Every effort will be made to run tours, as advertised. Should Fury have to amend or alter your tour due to extraneous circumstances, tickets remain non-refundable on tours taken.

All cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to your trip’s scheduled departure time. To place a cancellation, please call 1-888-976-0899 or email [email protected] and refer to the confirmation number at the top of your confirmation document. Failure to place a cancellation at least 24 hours in advance will result in your credit card being charged the full amount of the reserved. No refunds will be issued for reservations cancelled within 24 hours of departure, unless reservation refund protection was purchased. Please note that failure to show for the reserved trip  without cancellation will result in no refund. If a trip is cancelled by Fury Water Adventures® for any reason, every effort will be made to reschedule the trip during your stay in Key West. If you are unable to reschedule, you will have the option of receiving a voucher for a future trip or receiving a refund.

Fury has a 24 hour notice cancellation policy to receive a refund. Guests can purchase Reservation Refund Protection for a 10% fee to be eligible to cancel or transfer tickets up to 1 hour prior to their scheduled departure. All you have to do is email a request to [email protected] no later than 1 hour in advance of your reservation time.

Reservation refund protection fees are 100% non-refundable in the event of any cancellation or reservation change.

Fury allows service animals only. A service animal is any dog that has been trained to perform tasks to benefit an individual.  The work performed must be directly related to the individuals disability.  According the ADA service animals for emotional support, therapy, comfort or companionship are not considered service animals.

The guest requiring the service animal must be in possession of the animal at all times. Due to the nature of Fury tours,  guest and service animal  may  be required to remain on the boat for the entirety of the tour . This is to ensure the guest’s safety as well as that of the service animal, Key West wildlife, other guests, captain and crew.
