In 1949, Elan’s boat building tradition started off with kayaks, canoes and small boat productions made up of waterproof wooden slabs. In the 1950’s is when a large number of small crafts started to be exported to the United States. Another ten years after that, in the 1960’s, announced the dawn of reinforced polyester, a revolutionary material that Elan used for racing kayaks and boats. The 1980’s was a significant decade that shifted towards the production of larger cruiser-racer sailing yachts that were design by the now, J & J Design Studio, which included the legendary Elan 31. The year 1995, Elan commenced cooperation with a renowned nautical designer, Rob Humphreys, resulting in many successful, award-winning projects. Shortly after, in 2011, Elan launched the revolutionary Volvo Ocean Race inspired by the Elan 350 with characteristic chines and twin rudders which won another European Yacht of the Year title! With an overall length of 34 feet and 9 inches, this sailing yacht is quiet the eye catcher. The vertical transom features two cockpit storage boxes which can also be outfitted with a grill, sink, or fridge to enhance your livability on board.
The theme of the Elan Impression 45.1 is that of space, light, and air. The windows throughout the salon are large for its class and the ventilation is excellent.. There is a perfectly sized dining settee that fits around the table and does not impede moving around the boat. The galley has been placed forward that results in more living space. The iroko veneer framed with solid iroko wood was chosen as the main interior furniture material, because it was determined to have the best endurance capabilities, a beautiful classic look, and an attractive price point. The GT5 is bringing the true meaning of Gran Turismo to the yachting world, a Performance Grand Touring Yacht. All the control lines are led aft for the helmsmen to handle without even moving forward, leaving a clear and uncluttered companion way, ensuring easy handling for shorthanded sailing. The cockpit has enormous space for entertaining and relaxing with its dual table system, option of convertible sun bed, and ample storage. The deck is clear and easy to move around, continuing the commitment to a safe and easy to handle cruising yacht. The sleek lines that you have come to expect from Elan, give this yacht the an overall appearance that will “turn heads” in every port you visit.
The new GT5 is available in two or three cabin layouts with the revolutionary inverted saloon setup, featuring the galley forward and salon midship, ensuring maximum utilization of the yacht’s full beam. Both versions are available with one or two head compartments. Separate shower is standard in the two-cabin and optional on the three-cabin layout. Second heads compartment option forward is available with both two-and three-cabin versions making the forward owner cabin en-suite.
Elan Yachts E5 Sailboat

Because the Elan factory included a multitude of performance-enhancing options on the E5, it is capable of being sailed when shorthanded.
Below deck the new Elan E5 offers a three-cabin layout with the option of having one or two heads. The salon features a spacious and modern design with an innovative flip-up navigation table transforming into a settee or a berth. Cabins are light and airy with three portlights in stern cabins. Elan E5 offers a carefully designed interior with plenty of natural light as well as optional ambient LED strips. There are several different options of furniture wood including the new Walnut.
On deck of the Elan E5, it is noticeable how Elanthe factory preserved some of its performance genes from racing, as evidenced by the fixed bowsprit, which not only makes a good attachment spot for a gennaker but also doubles as an anchor holder. Halyards and control lines are properly organized and led aft in tunnels, which further adds to the clean look of the boat. Lines run all the way aft to both steering stations in the cockpit that was designed to keep the work area aft separated from the lounge area forward. In the lounge, there are two cockpit tables, with outer table halves that fold or slide down, extending the seats to comfortable sun pads. Of course, there is also a fold-down platform at the stern, which is offered in two sizes. But both form a sort of swim dock as they can be lowered to sit right on the water’s surface, which is great for swimming and entertaining children. Behind the two steering stations there are two cockpit boxes that serve as seats and storage space, but as an option, can be equipped with a barbecue and a sink.

With her contemporary design the interior offers quality and comfort superior to her class. The salon features a large settee to starboard and another on the port side, with a generous L-shaped galley to satisfy even the most demanding chefs. The Elan Impression 40 benefits from the unique flip-up chart table thus allowing full access to the settee berth when not in use. Accommodation onboard the Impression 40 is exceptionally comfortable with spacious cabins fore and aft, with four interior layout options to choose from.
Elan E4 Sailboat
As winner of the SAIL Magazine's Best Boat Award, the Elan Yachts E4 had to undergo a series of rigorous sea trials by the publication's judges. The E4 was described as "the perfect blend of fast sailing abilities and comfort below deck as well as with some of her innovative solutions such as the retractable cockpit table and the removable transom beam that converts into a passarella." Having once again consolidated Elan’s reputation as a builder of exciting performance-cruising sailing yachts, where neither performance, nor the cruising capabilities were left to compromise.
In addition to her elegant and sporty design, the Elan E4 features integrated toerails and flush hatches on the coachroof as well as new rotating plotter pods on the steering consoles, for complete control over the elements. She has a wide transom, twin rudder arrangement and chined hull deliver excellent control even at high heel angles. Her T-shaped keel ensures a lower center of gravity and improved righting moment, which in turn allows for a lighter displacement than would otherwise be possible. The end result provides an exhilarating sailing performance, which one would usually expect only to find on much bigger boats. Maybe the best feature yet is how effortless she is to sail, even in challenging conditions.
Below deck, the Elan E4 features a two-stateroom layout that has a V-berth placed forward and a a spacious double cabin that is located aft portside. This design opens up space for a very large cockpit locker, but at owner's request this can become an optional third stateroom. The main cabin features a U-shaped lounge opposite of a couch with a folding dining table and an L-shaped galley is placed portside. Overall, this is plenty of space both above and below deck for your fellow sailors to rejuvenate after a long day on the water.
Elan E3 Sailboat
Even though the Elan Yachts E3 is only 30-feet, she feels and performs like a much larger vessel. The E3 has an interesting combination of a T-bulb keel, twin rudder steering and twin wheels, which are all pretty unique characteristics for a boat of this size. Designed by the same team that constructs high-forming racing yachts, the E3 may be positioned in the market as a starter boat, but even the experienced sailor will be impressed with the capabilities, options, and space on board. With the combination of the Volvo Offshore Race 70 design, the large cockpit, and the nice interior, the Elan E3 is a very exciting boat to sail.
The Elan E3 offers an unprecedented level of comfort, ensuring a smooth crossover from racing to cruising with friends or family. Elan is a Slovenian company with 65 years of experience, innovation and full of Eastern promise. It is located in Bejune na Gorenjskem and specialises in a wide range of sporting goods best known for their skis and snowboards. The Winter Division at Elan manufactures skis and snowboards, the Marine Division produces sailing yachts. In the year 1949, the boat building arm of the business began with the production of kayaks, canoes and small boat production made of waterproof wood. In the year 1950, with their commercial success, exporting of boats to the USA began. Elan switched its production from wood to utilise the new materials in the production of their racing kayaks and boats by the beginning of the 1960’s. It was also an advent of reinforced polyester during that period. Elan yard was producing small vessels and sailboats by the 1970’s with its most successful craft that was sold over 10,000 units in the years that followed. The 1980’s had a significant shift towards the production of larger cruiser-racer sailing yachts that were designed by the J&J Design studio which included the legendary Elan 31, that won the Quarter Ton World Championship followed by many award-winning projects and also the European Yacht of the Year title. Elan is laying strong foundations for the future with its strong base built upon rich tradition, combined with an innovative present. Elan consists of new generation yachts offering the perfect balance between performance, comfort, ease of handling and safety without compromise. It inherits many features from the ultimate racing machines and with state of the art deck equipment positioned for the optimum performance and a fine-tuned sail plan, every Elan Yacht offers a superb sailing experience.

E3 - The new E3 was developed with both racing performance and cruising comfort in mind. The unique combination of T-bulb keel, twin-rudder steering, and twin wheels - all rare features on a design of this size (9.25m) - really make her stand out in this class.
E4 - Developed to satisfy diverse modes of sailing, from short-handed sailing to crewed racing or family cruising, this yacht does it all amazingly well.
E5 - The E5 offers an upgraded range of features including hard chines, twin rudders, and twin wheels with Jeffa steering. It boasts state of the art deck equipment positioned for easy, short-handed sailing, an integrated toerail, flush deck hatches, an optional swim platform just above the waterline, as well as a lifting cockpit table and gangway.
40 - The Impression 40 really lives up to its name, delivering a top sailing experience. The 40 is designed for families, friends, and couples to relax and enjoy the water.
