The Aft Deck features Teak Decks, a walk behind Bar with comfortable seating and illuminated granite bar top. The Aft Deck companionway provides access to the huge open Teak flybridge with another walk behind Bar with seating and a large gas Bar-B-Que. A JACUZZI completes the flybridge entertainment space, with the RIB tender and Davit aft on the boat deck.

“Cecelia Mae” is powered by a pair of dependable Mack Daytona Marine Diesel engines 

“ Cecelia Mae “was EXTENDED, to 117 feet rearranged and completely refit in 2014 at: the BROWARD MARINE Shipyard.

Cecelia Mae would be ideal as a 4 Stateroom Charter but has never been chartered and shows little wear.

About the Course

Over the years this course has been updated to reflect all aspects of the constantly evolving yacht brokerage industry. Module subjects include essential matters such as registration, title rules and regulations, yacht brokers and the law, business management and valuation along with other challenging subjects such as insurance, finance, sea trials and chartering.

Course Structure

The course consists of 12 modules. All students are required to successfully complete and pass the module assignments. Diploma students will also be required to sit and pass a final examination.

Career Pathway

Career path: There is not one single defined career path. In larger yachts many professional yacht crew retrain as yacht brokers in order to be able to come ashore and yet remain in contact with the marine world.

Salary: Can be from a starting level of commission only up to huge sums (millions) for a successful few who sell superyachts. The average annual salary for a yacht and small craft broker in the United Kingdom is around £38,000.

Duties: Finding clients who wish for their yacht to be sold, checking all legal aspects of the right to sell the vessel, obtaining a detailed and accurate description of the vessel, and presenting it in the best possible manner (without misleading). Promoting the vessel to obtain interest and organising viewings. Acting as the intermediary between buyers and sellers and being the glue that holds a sale together through the difficult times.

Toby’s role as Director is exceptionally varied and primarily involves him providing day to day business and troubleshooting support for the group’s 50+ sales and charter brokers across 13 international locations.

He has served on the council of ABYA (Association of British Yacht Agents) and was elected to the MYBA (The Worldwide Yachting Association) governing board in March 2008. He then completed 4 years as MYBA President followed by 4 years as Chairman of the association’s commercial company All Yachting SAS, that owns and operates yachtfolio.com and the MYBA Charter Show.

This beautiful 1993 Super Van Craft 1380, fitted with great twin MAN diesel engines offering excellent fuel economy at cruising speed, is available for immediate handover. She offers incredible living and socializing space inside and out, having benefited from a major refit in 2017, which included:

  • Hull paintwork cleaned and minor repairs made.
  • Repainted grey rub bar.
  • All brightwork sanded to bare wood, repaired where needed, and revarnished.
  • Full engine service, including all new filters.
  • New seawater pumps fitted.
  • Stripped and serviced fuel pumps.
  • Water strainers replaced with new bronze and glass strainers.
  • Cleaned and flushed fuel tanks.
  • New 24v batteries (x6).

Owner’s Comments

MALAIKA has been our first boat, and one that we have truly loved. Over the past four years, we have covered 2,300 nautical miles around the coast, including trips to the Isle of Wight, Solent, Littlehampton, The Hamble, Eastbourne, central London, and several journeys to Southwold and Ipswich. She is easily manageable by the two of us, and thanks to her twin engines, bow thruster, and easy handling, she is often taken out solo. Bear in mind, we started as complete novices! The previous owner kept her as a liveaboard in St Katharine Docks, but we wanted to spend more time at sea, so we undertook a significant upgrade of the navigation, safety equipment, and instrumentation in 2022. We frequently entertain on board—she has a great galley and outdoor space—and she always attracts a lot of attention in any marina.

Famous Sportfishing Boat Owned By Jimmy Buffett Listed For Sale

Once known as " LAST MANGO II " and owned by Jimmy Buffett, this classic 42-foot Rybovich Spencer is now listed for sale in Montauk , New York with SI Yachts broker Steve Messenger. No longer donning the name bestowed upon it by the famous Margaritaville singer, this sportfishing yacht built in 2003 has been called " BLUE EYES II " since the current owner purchased it from Buffett.

"The owner of the boat was personal friends with Jimmy and bought it from him directly," said Steve . "It was custom built for Jimmy Buffett by Rybovich Spencer and when it was completed, he had the shipyard completely destroy the mold, so it could never again be copied."

Buffett made countless trips throughout the Florida Keys, Bahamas, and up to the Hudson Canyon fishing with friends, putting nearly 5,000 hours on the twin 670-hp Cummins QSM11 diesel inboards. The engines have since been re-manufactured and the top end speed is now 35 knots, with a cruise speed of 24 knots. The asking price is listed at $999,000.

From the cockpit moving forward, any angler would be excited about this oversized space that's covered in teak, complete with two custom Pompanette fighting chairs; a center station with bait freezer, refrigerated drink boxes, and a propane stainless steel grill to cook your “Cheeseburger in Paradise.” You can walk all the way around the deck while fighting a fish. And there are 18 in-deck rod holders, 6 on the tuna tower.

As you enter the cabin through the centerline companionway, you step in to the galley on the starboard side, moving forward you’ll find the head. Forward is the stateroom to sleep off the fun of “Margaritaville.” The four person dinette is found on the port side and in the table you will find a custom “Last Mango” porthole emblem.

As the “Son of a Son of a Sailor,” (Jimmy Buffett’s Grandfather was a lifetime Merchant Mariner known as Capt. Buffett) Jimmy knew boats from the time he was 3 feet tall. This fishing machine has full electronics that are easily viewable from all cockpit locations, Rupp outriggers, Full Tuna Tower, and (2) two custom paddleboards.
