Delivered early 1981 in Holland as the owner was working in Holland at the time. After using it for a couple of years found it was not suited to his needs and sold the boat to his son who equipped her for long distance sailing .

His son sailed UK to Lisbon to Esbjerg, Denmark. From Denmark to UK and then to Mediterranean France via Gibraltar. Later taken by road to Northern France it was then sailed to Denmark and Holland where he was working.

Some 15+ years ago it was sailed to Dunkirk where it has been stored ashore since. His work commitments prevented him from using it. The boat was moved to Dickies in 2016 and was bought by the current owners who have carried out a complete refit over the last 2 years

'Minden Rose' is an excellent example of a Vancouver 32 . She has been very well cared for and updated by her current owners who have had her for 18 years. She has had her engine replaced along with a new mast ,boom and standing rigging. Her treadmaster decks were replaced in 2013 and she was epoxied in 2007. She is well equipped for cruising with both a tiller pilot and wind vane auto helm systems. The Vancouver 32 is an immensely strong, stable and easily handled passage maker many of which have completed circumnavigations. She sleeps up to 6 with a twin v berth forward and a large double in the saloon. She is particularly well fitted out in teak throughout ,has a good sized heads and excellent galley. She has more than ample storage space for extended cruising. If you are after a reliable ,sea kindly , quality ,comfortable  and safe cruiser then you should come and view Minden Rose here in Lymington.

The Vancouver 32 sleeps six, the forward cabin has twin v berths ,under berth storage and locker space. The heads is large with a hot water shower and vanity unit. The galley is practical with fridge, oven and dry storage. The interior is of high quality teak joinery giving a warm comfortable feeling throughout the yacht.

History of Vancouver Yachts

Vancouver Yachts, a revered name in sailboats manufacturing, embarked on its journey in 1970s under the proficient eyes of the British firm, Pheon Yachts. The brand derived its name from the Vancouver line of sailing vessels, symbolising durability and robustness, characteristics they sought to emulate in their own sailboats. The yard began its operation in Northampton, England, creating a legacy of high-quality yachts designed primarily for cruising. The company’s mainstay in the initial years was the Vancouver 27, a robustly built, long-keeled, blue-water cruiser.

However, the Vancouver brand's journey was not always smooth sailing. Following the insolvency of Pheon Yachts, the brand underwent a series of ownership changes and production shifts. First, it was acquired by Tradewind Yachts and later by Northshore Yachts, who then relocated the production to Itchenor, West Sussex. Despite these changes however, Vancouver's reputation for manufacturing solid and seaworthy boats remained unchanged.

Vancouver's brand and its rich heritage of crafting dependable cruising yachts today lies with Northshore Shipyard, now known as the parent company, Discovery Yachts Group. Their yachts are still synonymous with robustness and high-quality craftsmanship, with models ranging from Vancouver 27 to Vancouver 34, as well as the Vancouver 32 and 36, cementing their legacy in the sailing industry. These boats often feature a pilothouse, setting them apart from many similar-sized cruising yachts.
