Companies often try to lure customers in with attractive buy-one-get-one deals, but one design studio is taking that a step further by offering clients a Bugatti with the purchase of their next yacht. 

Lazzarini Design Studio has penned a new superyacht concept called Xenos, and it comes with a complimentary Bugatti Chiron. Odds are that someone with the cash for a $39 million superyacht already has a supercar or two in the garage, but what's one more for the collection?

Not to mention, Xenos has a few more tricks up its sleeve, such as roof-mounted solar panels, auto-tinting windows, and a claimed top speed of more than 100 mph.

Xenos is a superyacht concept that offers something most other yachts don't.

It comes with a Bugatti Chiron — one of the quickest, most powerful, and all-around wildest vehicles on the market today — included.

Not only that — the yacht has a compartment to store your new Chiron while out on the high seas.

Thanks to an extending ramp, you can hop in your Chiron, rip a burnout right onto the dock, and speed away to your waterfront villa — all with minimal contact with the common folk hanging about the marina.

When the Bugatti's in the shop, Xenos owners can keep other toys like jet skis and boats in the garage.

Lazzarini Design Studio, the firm behind the concept, says Xenos will be able to hit speeds of 90 knots — roughly 104 mph — in its most powerful 15,000-horsepower configuration.

That would make it the fastest 130-foot yacht in existence, Lazzarini says.

Plus, it'll be available in standard and hydrofoil versions.

The yacht comes with windows that automatically tint depending on how bright it is outside.

Not to mention, there will be solar panels integrated into the roof ...

Deep seas and tight spaces impede search for 6 missing after yacht sinks off Sicily

PORTICELLO, Sicily — (AP) — Police divers resumed searching Tuesday for six people believed trapped in the hull of a superyacht that sank in deep seas off Sicily, including British tech magnate Mike Lynch, who was celebrating his recent acquittal on fraud charges with the people who had defended him at trial.

The luxury sailboat, off Porticello near Palermo, was about 50 meters (164 feet) underwater — far deeper than most recreational divers are certified for and a depth that requires special precautions. Recovery crews could only stay for 12-minute shifts, a measure that slowed efforts to reach the cramped inside of the wreck.

Divers tag-teamed the shifts and were using a remote-controlled underwater vehicle, or ROV, to help in the search. They hadn't been able to access the below-deck cabins because they were blocked by furniture that shifted during the violent storm that struck the vessel early Monday. Rescue crews said they assume the missing six are in those cabins because the storm struck when most would be sleeping, but the teams haven't verified their presence there through portholes.

The Bayesian, a 56-meter (184-foot) British-flagged yacht, was moored about a kilometer (a half-mile) offshore when a storm rolled in before 4 a.m. Monday. Civil protection officials said they believed the ship was struck by a tornado over the water, known as a waterspout, and sank quickly .

Grainy film from closed-circuit cameras from shore, broadcast on the website of the Giornale di Sicilia, showed the majestic, illuminated 75-meter (246-foot) mast of the Bayesian weathering the storm and then disappearing over the course of a minute.

Fifteen of the 22 people aboard survived, including a mother who reported holding her 1-year-old baby over the waves to save her. One body was recovered, identified by officials as the Antiguan-born on-board chef. The rest of the 10-person crew survived, including the captain whom prosecutors reportedly sought to interview.

The survivors were rescued by a nearby sailboat after getting into a lifeboat.

Lynch, who was once hailed as Britain's king of technology, was cleared in June of fraud and conspiracy charges in a U.S. federal trial related to Hewlett Packard's $11 billion takeover of his company, Autonomy Corp. His wife, Angela Bacares, survived the sinking. Hannah Lynch, the couple's 18-year-old daughter, is reportedly unaccounted for.

Also unaccounted for are Christopher Morvillo, one of Lynch’s lawyers, and his wife, Neda; and Jonathan Bloomer, a chairman at Morgan Stanley International and the former head of the Autonomy audit committee who testified in Lynch’s defense, and his wife.

Karsten Borner, the captain of the Sir Robert Baden Powell, which rescued the survivors, said he was close enough to see the Bayesian as the storm came in.

“A moment later, she was gone,” he said.

“It’s a great, great tragedy,” said Britain’s ambassador to Italy, Edward Llewellyn, who visited Porticello on Tuesday. Britain sent four investigators to the scene, given the disaster involved a British-flagged ship and British citizens were among the missing.

Luca Cari, a spokesman for the rescue teams, said the search was proceeding much more slowly than another big shipwreck in Italy, the 2012 Costa Concordia cruise ship that flipped on its side off Tuscany's coast, because of the depth of the wreck and the limited space divers have to maneuver.

“That was much simpler. Here everything is more tight," he said.

The outing was intended at least in part as a celebration of Lynch’s acquittal and a “looking forward to what was coming next,” said Reid Weingarten, a Washington attorney and a member of Lynch’s defense team who was not on the yacht.

“A lot of people went, a lot of people were planning to go and then, of course, this happened,” Weingarten said.

Weingarten worked with Morvillo and said he “was like a brother.”

Aki Hussain, CEO of international insurer Hiscox Group, where Bloomer was chairman, said the company was “deeply shocked and saddened by this tragic event.”

“Our thoughts are with all those affected, in particular our Chair, Jonathan Bloomer, and his wife Judy, who are among the missing, and with their family as they await further news from this terrible situation,” he added.

Among the survivors, the Emslie family was released from Palermo's pediatric hospital on Tuesday. Charlotte Golunski had reported that she momentarily lost hold of her 1-year-old daughter, Sofia, in the water but then managed to hold her up over the waves until they were both pulled to safety, doctors said.

The father, identified by ANSA news agency as James Emslie, also survived.

“They don't talk much, primarily because they consider themselves survivors and they don't understand why they survived given what they went through,” said Dr. Domenico Cipolla, head of the emergency room at Di Cristina pediatric hospital.

Speaking to reporters Tuesday, Cipolla said the parents had been in touch with other survivors, who are being housed at a nearby hotel and were waiting for other family members to arrive in Sicily.

The Bayesian, built in 2008 by the Italian firm Perini Navi, is registered to Revtom Ltd., according to online maritime database Equasis. Bacares, Lynch's wife, is listed as Revtom's sole owner, according to corporate registration documents from the Isle of Man.

According to online charter companies, it had been available for charter for 195,000 euros (about $215,000) a week and was notable for its massive 75-meter-tall (246-foot-tall) aluminum mast, one of the tallest in the world.

The coast guard said to date there was no trace of fuel leaks from the wreckage.

In an unrelated event, Lynch's co-defendant in the Autonomy trial who was also cleared, Stephen Chamberlain, was killed Sunday when he was hit by a car while running in Cambridgeshire, England, said Chamberlain's lawyer, Gary Lincenberg.

Do You Want A Wet Dock Or Dry Dock?

Wet docks are more expensive than dry docks because they offer more convenience. When you want to use your boat, you only need to go to the dock and climb aboard. Dry docks are also less convenient because you must inform the dock rental company in advance that you want to use your boat. This decision will come down to your budget.

When purchasing or renting a slip, take a few moments to study the direction of the prevailing winds as well as the strength and direction of the current.

How Deep Is The Water?

Unfortunately, water levels in many lakes are falling, meaning that there may not be enough water for your keel and draft. If you need to dock stern first, you’ll need to ensure there is enough water at the inside end of the slip for your propellers to clear. You can test the depth of the water with a long pole. When testing, also look out for boulders or any other obstructions that could damage your boat.

How Long Is The Finger Dock?

The finger dock, which extends from the primary pier, must be long enough so that you and your guests can easily step out of your boat. If the finger dock isn’t long enough, you’ll need to back into the slip, which may not work for you depending on which side you want to tie up on.

How High Is The Dock?

The height of the dock is going to determine the ease with which you and your guests can step onto and off your boat. If a dock is high and fixed, you may find it simpler to get on and off from the side deck or the cockpit cockpit side. Depending on the height, you may need to add a ladder or stool to simplify getting into and out of your boat.

Is There Room For A Dinghy/Personal Water Craft?

If you also have a dinghy or personal watercraft, you’ll need to ensure that there is space beside your boat for it. If there isn’t room, you’ll either need to make other arrangements or find another slip. Don’t find this out after you’ve rented or purchased your slip!

Free Parking at The Waterfront

Free parking is available at The Waterfront in two car parks. The first can be accessed from Pevensey Bay Road, heading towards Harbour Quay, just before reaching Sovereign Harbour Yacht Club.

The second is available from Atlantic drive heading towards Harbour Quay, and is situated on the left-hand side before reaching the Boatyard and Self store facilities at Sovereign Harbour Marina.

Getting Here & Parking

We don’t want parking and traffic to turn your Pier experience into anything but great, so here’s some helpful information.

St. Pete Pier Address 800 2nd Avenue NE, St. Petersburg, FL 33701

Pier Hours of Operation Opens 30 minutes before sunrise and closes at 11:00 pm 

Marketplace Hours Friday, Saturday, Sunday 10:00 am – 6:00 pm 

Directions If arriving via I-275, follow the interstate signs and exit onto I-375. I-375 becomes 4th Avenue North and guests should follow that to the end where it forms a T with Beach Drive. If guests wish to avoid some traffic, consider taking a left on Beach Drive, then a right on 5th Avenue North and a right on Bayshore Drive. You will find the Pier entrance at the next left.

Parking The St. Pete Pier offers over 500 on-site parking spaces, including six electric charging stations. There is also extensive bike parking and access via the Downtown Looper and Central Avenue Trolley. Peak traffic and parking demand are occurring most Fridays between 4 pm and 9 pm as well as on Saturdays from 1 pm to 8 pm, so expect more traffic and longer waits during those times.

Guests arriving at peak periods may wish to head straight to overflow parking options approximately 3 blocks away from the Pier. Enter the Sundial Parking Garage via 2nd Street North, just south of 2nd Avenue North and then access the Pier by walking east on 2nd Avenue. Alternatively, the Al Lang Parking Lot entrance is located on 1st Avenue South between Beach and Bayshore Drive. Access the Pier by walking north on Bayshore Drive. Taking the Cross Bay Ferry Visitors can travel from Tampa across the bay using the Cross Bay Ferry. The St. Petersburg Ferry Terminal is in the Port of St. Pete, adjacent to the University of South Florida – St. Petersburg Campus and The Dali Museum. Taking the SunRunner Getting to the Pier just got easier with the new SunRunner Bus Rapid Transit. The closest spot to the Pier is 5th Street N (Stop #1111). Once you get off at that stop, continue down 1st Ave N towards the water. You’ll pass Jannus Live on the right and Starbucks on the left. Once you hit South Straub Park, you’ll see the entrance to the Pier ahead. For more information, visit the SunRunner’s site .

More Mylor | Parking at Mylor

Visiting mylor by car.

Onsite short stay, pay and display parking is available throughout the harbour. The main car park is situated on the Admiralty Quay at the bottom of the hill as you enter the harbour (Zone 1).

There is also additional parking throughout the valley. The pay and display machines are located in Zones 2 & 4 – you may want to get your ticket before travelling further up the valley to save on a long walk. Tickets can also be purchased from our main reception.

If you are parking for over 24 hours please park your vehicle in Zones 5 – 10. We ask that all trailers are parked in Zones 7-10 (there is an additional charge for trailers)
