The Inace 126' Aft house Explorer is the 2nd in this series of Explorer / Expedition yachts designed by Luiz de Basto, Inace Yachts and All Ocean Yachts. She has a 6000 nm range. A huge full beam master stateroom down in the center of the vessel plus 4 more very comfortable guest cabins. She can carry a 22' tender plus extensive additional toys. She was created from the first line on paper to meet her mission profile as a world cruising yacht capable of extended time in remote areas with limited shore side sport.  She has wonderful outdoor spaces with a huge fully equipped flybridge, large lounge/ dining deck behind the skylounge and a wonderful aft deck for dinning or entertaining plus a massive well protected boat deck forward and a great foredeck.

She has outstanding crews areas with service and separation in mind when they were designed. The crew can easily get to every area of the boat without intruding on the guests. The accommodations on the 126' are much larger then you would expect to find on a vessel of this size, on the main deck there is a spacious lounge, separate dining area, large professional galley to port and foyer and day head to starboard. The aft deck has a settee with table.

The galley has a separate zone for the chef with double sink, six burner cook top, stacked ovens, Micro wave, full size side by side refrigerator/freezer and dish washer. There is crew lounge with table to port. Aft of the chef's zone is the U shaped Stewardess area, with double sink, dishwasher, trash compactor, under counter refrigerator, huge counter area part of which separates the chef zone and works for plating. There is extensive storage in both zones. Next aft to port is a door directly to the side deck, stairs up to the pilothouse and a door to the pantry area that separates the dinning area from the galley. The panty, has a ice maker, storage, coffee area, service counter and a wine cooler.

Forward on the main deck in front of the boat deck are two identical crew cabins with two upper and lower bunks with ensuite heads, between them is a crew lounge with settee, deck, table and TV. Stairs lead down to the Laundry and access to the lower guest area.

The lower deck has the master stateroom, two VIP queen staterooms, two twin staterooms with Pullman berths, laundry and extra refrigerator and freezer space.

The full beam 27', master stateroom is below decks in the center of the vessel. This stateroom is much larger then you would expect to find on a 120' vessel. The master has a king size bed, two matching walk-in closets with built in draws and shoe storage, there are also two additional large hanging lockers. On the port side is a settee and to starboard is deck/dressing table. The his and her head is aft with large central shower. The head is done in Brazilian granite.

The pilothouse deck has a large wheelhouse forward with settee, to port is a passage that takes you to stairs leading down to the galley or to the Captains cabin with double bed and ensuite head. Aft on the starboard side is the radio room and access to the upper foyer with day head and then the comfortable sky lounge with settee, TV area and office desk. The after deck has a large table for dining with wet bar.

The flybridge is quite large, has a full bar with BBQ, built in seating, storage, day head with out door shower and a full size Jacuzzi with over sized sun pad area.

The boat deck can carry an extensive amount of toys, will fit a 22' tender and has storage. The large foredeck can also be fitted out to carry additional toys or storage boxes.

Major Equipment List And Systems

Main Engines:

Two (2) CATERPILLAR engines model C-18, B-rated - 600 BHP @ 1,800 RPM, 24V elec. start, lubricating oil filters, dry exhaust manifolds, 24V alarm system, mechanical instrument panel. Main engines are to be painted white

Reduction gears:

Two (2) TWIN DISK Mod 5114 reduction gears or similar, 3.50:1 ratio, oil cooler, engine mounted. The gears to have power take off system with electric clutch to feed the Bow Thruster, windless and crane

Generators:

Two (2) CATERPILLAR, KILO PAK OR SIMILAR 50 KW @ 1800 rpm, 400/230 V, Three phase, 50 Hz with double mount system, fiberglass sound shields and gas-water separators

Proppelers:

One pair, one (1) R/H and one (1) L/H, Bronze, of 5-blade

 Engine exhaust will be of the wet type, manufactured by CENTEK or similar with exhaust lines looped up from the engine and water injected at a high point on the downward side of the piping before the muffler.

Engine controls:

ZF MATHERS, KOBELT OR SIMILAR controls with console mounted control heads installed in the Wheelhouse, Fly bridge and at the two wing stations.

  KOBELT or similar and is to have four stations (wheelhouse, fly-bridge and two wing stations). This is to include twin steering pumps and twin ABS approved rams. The pump in the wheelhouse shall be a manual pump and acts as a back up to the system.

Bow Thruster:

Bow Thruster shall be a 20” AMERICAN BOW THRUSTER - 75 HP and it is to be driven of the main engine gears. Per manufacture’s design the system supplies 75 hp when the main engines are at idol.

Stabilizer:

Quantum marine or Trac 2 fin system

Hydraulics General:

The system designer/engineer and equipment supplier shall be Quantum Marni or  TRAC.

The 2-fin stabilizer system, bow thruster, crane and windlasses shall share the same hydraulic power source. The hydraulic pumps are to be driven from the PTO’s installed in the Transmission Gear. This hydraulic power system has to be designed to deliver full power to the vessel's bow thruster and windlasses at main engine idle speed. The system shall have an integrated common bow manifold to supply proper pressure and flow to the bow Thruster and windlasses.

Anchor gear:

Windlass and ground tackle shall have two Maxwell or Muir 6000 Lbs windlasses with 450’ of 5/8” High tensile chain  on each side ( port and starboard) and 240 Kgs Navy type anchor to be stored in two polished stainless steel anchor pocket located at port and starboard bow sides

Tender Handling:

2000 kgs Opacmare or Similar Hydraulic boom crane with independent elecro-hydraulic back up system

Passarelle:

Opacmare or similar model 5335/40 Hydraulic

Air conditioning:

AQUAIR model A18-3-1 VHD consisting of three compressors with a 18 ton capacity Aqua Air Alpha Series or equivalent. Chillers shall be installed in the engine room to provide cooling for the yacht.  Seawater cooling pump shall be two self-priming pumps – one being a stand-by pump - and thermostats for the fan coil units shall be Tempwise-2000. Fan coil units shall be used to provide for the cooling of designated areas and shall be furnished and installed as per estimated BTU recommended by manufacturer

Fuel oil System:

Fuel oil tanks shall be integral with the hull, as detailed in section 110-00. All tanks are to be fitted with a sounding tube and a level indicator connected to the tank monitoring system.

The fuel oil system shall be comprised of a total 16000 gals in (6) tanks, two (2) main tanks, two (3) forward tanks , and one (1) day tank.

ALFA LAVAL or similar fuel system model MIB 303 shall be installed

A mechanical, reset type ( FILL-RITE or equal) flow meter totalizer shall be installed in the transfer line. The fuel transfer system shall be fitted with a manual pump.

Fuel filters for the main engines and generators are to be conveniently located and dimensioned as engine/generators manufacturer’s specification. Both main engines shall be fitted with duplex RACOR filters (single filters the generators, see section 301-00) with isolation valves and vacuum gauges. Where used for fuel piping, all hoses shall be approved by the classification society. The system shall be equipped with the following filters:

Two (2) RACOR fuel filters, Mod. 75900MAX30 for main engines.

Generator RACOR to Mod. 900MA30 single unit.

Sight gauges tank level to be placed adjacent to the tanks and fuel tank level monitors to be placed at the wheelhouse. Drip trays to be provided for all pumps, drains and fuel filters.

Lube Oil system:

Two (2) storage tanks shall be installed, one for clean lube oil, the other for waste oil. Both tanks shall be filled within the engine room through a 25mm fill pipe with screw cap and shall be vented in the engine space with a

25mm screened vent. There shall be dipstick with on the clean oil supply. Both tanks to be fitted with sounding pipes and clean-out plates, similar to the manhole covers on the large integral tanks.

Seawater system:

(2) two sea chests in the engine room using 8” pipe,combined service plus a 30% overage for downstream piping losses.  A Removable filter screen to be located in the sea strainers pipes which shall top at or above water line for easy filter removal

The sea valves shall be Bronze Flanged Angle Globe type valve, as required by the classification society, and flanged joints shall be completely isolated due to metal dissimilarity. The strainer pipe bottom shall be flanged for easy removable.

The seawater shall be supplied to the system via the crossover pipe that is equipped with a shut-off valve. The cross over pipe shall be of sufficient diameter to supply adequate water flow at full usage, with only one suction.

The sea chest cross over pipe shall be fitted with a fresh water connection in order to allow filling of the seawater piping arrangement while dry-docked. Sea chests to be fitted with removable tops. The sea chest arrangement shall be fitted with a vent valve which will be configured in such a way that compressed air can be attached to clear the system.

Engine room seawater inlets are to service the main engine, generators ah- conditioning, hydraulics cooling, refrigeration, water maker and fire system. Bleed valves shall be attached to the seawater piping of the main engine, generator seawater cooling pumps and heat exchangers in order to release entrapped air.

Sea chests to have external grills which are to be the removable type to allow cleaning by a diver.

Navigation Lights:

Engine room ventilation:

 engine room shall have two fans (one supply and one exhaust. Fans to be variable speed and separately switched. Variable frequency drive (VFDs) shall be included for engine room fans.

Engine room supply and exhaust air shall be ducted through grills, water traps, baffles or trunks as designed by the BUILDER. Remote actuated fire flappers/doors also to be provided for intake and exhaust air which are to be part of the fixed fire suppression system.

Fresh water system:

 Two pressure pumps on fresh water system shall be piped in parallel with

automatic pressure switches to control them, set at slightly different pressures. Pressure tank of large volume shall be installed downstream of the pumps. This system shall supply fresh water to all sinks and showers.

The hot water system is branched off the fresh water main line and shall consist of three (3) 40 Gallons electric hot water heaters.

There shall be a circulating pump integrated into the system.

Water Maker:

Two FCI or similar 1800 GPD water makers

Black water System:

Head Hunter toilet sytem

Head Hunter or Hamman or similar USCG certified Type II MSD shall be installed

Black water tanks:

The black water tank shall be of steel construction, integral with the hull, as detailed in Section 1 10-00 Integral Tanks. The tanks shall have a 38mm ( 1 ½” ) diameter vent that is led into the deck stack and mast. Stop valves shall be installed at the connections to the black water tank.

The tank shall be fitted with one (1) diaphragm pump actuated by a high and low level switches which will also actuate an indicator lights and an audio alarm, (no automatic pump out). The pumps will be manually controlled. The black water tank shall discharge, via a Y-valve, overboard below the waterline, as far aft of the water maker inlet as possible, through a vented loop using the black water pumps or to a deck plate for shore pump out. The vent from the vented loop shall be plumbed back into main vent. The black tank shall have access hatches (one for each frame bay), made as large as possible for ease of maintenance.

Gray Water system:

 The gray water tank shall be of steel construction, integral with the hull.

The tank shall have a diaphragm pump of the same model and make of the Black water pump and shall be fitted with two (2) level switches (high and low) to control the sump pump. Operation to be automatic, with an override switch to permit manual operation. Gray water pumps are to discharge directly overboard below the waterline, as far aft of the water maker inlet as possible, through vented loops.

Sinks and showers shall have individual water traps and shall drain to the gray water tanks. Air conditioning condensate and refrigerator condensate pans from chill and freeze boxes shall drain to the gray water tank, through a separate common drain pipe with appropriate water traps. The galley sinks shall have oversized drains and discharge to the gray water tank or directly overboard through a Y-valve. The dishwasher and the washing machines shall discharge to the gray water tank or directly overboard through a Y-valve. No other drains shall be connected to the galley sink and dishwasher drains

Compressor air system:

A air compressor shall be installed to handle the air horns. Quad horns with auto fog system.

There shall also be outlets located in the engine room and boat deck.

Aft main saloon and sky lounge doors are stainless steel automatic sliding.

Weather tight and manual water tight doors are custom yard built doors.

Electrical System

AC system shall be a 380/220 volt AC, three phase + ground (4-wire), 50 Hz system with power supplied by two (2) diesel driven generators, or from two (2) 100-amp sources. The source shall be equipped with two (2) 70 amp circuit breaker located within 7 feet of the inlet.  The inputs will be designed so that they cannot back feed to each other. The electric power is distributed on a 4-wire system and enables single-phase equipment to be supplied a one phase and the neutral of 220 volt AC.

All cables shall be installed in accordance with ABS rules. Cables shall be thermoplastic coated, 75°C rating for engine room, 60°C elsewhere. Cables shall meet ABS standards.

High voltage cables are to be segregated from cables operating at lower voltages and all high voltage cables are to be readily identifiable. They are to be installed on an approved cable support system and provided with a continuous metallic screen, sheath, or armor, which is to be effectively bonded to earth to reduce danger to personnel.

The switchboards and all electrical panels shall be custom built panels. The switchboards shall be dead-front, drip-proof; of approved regulatory construction and shall be arranged to provide ready access to all devices for

replacement and service. All switchboard components, such as selector switches, circuit breakers (magnetic-type) shall be of a marine approved type. All circuit breakers, selector switches and indicators shall be clearly labeled as to their function. Switchboard interconnections are to be made with properly sized copper bus bars wherever possible.

The switchboard shall be broken down into two primary circuits (circuit #1 and circuit #2

The Builder shall furnish and install a low voltage system composed of the following:

Main engines:  Four (4) 12-volt batteries (2 - 8D marine grade, 12 volt in

series in each bank).  Each main engine shall be supplied with power from a separate bank, with paralleling capability.

Generators:    Four (4) 8D marine grade 12-volt batteries, two for each generator.  Batteries shall be wired to provide paralleling capability.

Electronics:   Two (2) 8D marine grade 12-volt batteries, wired in series.  A 24 VDC distribution panel shall be installed in the Pilot House for the electronics, navigation lighting, and PilotHouse lighting.

House Batteries: Two (2) 8D marine grade 12 –volt batteries.

The Builder shall furnish and install the following battery chargers:

  - Main Engine Batteries:   One (1) 220VAC 50hz /24V DC 60 amp battery

                            charger and engine alternators.

  - Generator Batteries:    One (1) 220VAC 50hz /24V DC 30 amp battery

                            charger.

Master Stateroom

• The master stateroom is located behind the wheelhouse with full head, large shower, all in Italian marble. 
• King size master bed has a stunning views with large windows on three sides. 
• To starboard is a full desk with an excellent view. Against the aft bulkhead below the large window are additional drawers; in the starboard aft corner is one of two closets and the owner's entertainment area. 
• The owner has direct access to a private aft deck equipped with a removable awning. This is a feature normally found on much larger vessels. 
• The stateroom is extremely quiet while underway or at anchor. Sound levels are in the 53 Adba range with air conditioning running a 1/2 speed. 
• Aft deck is equipped with 8 fishing rod holders, this deck is a great place to fish for tuna.

Guest Stateroom

Solid Mahogany tread stairs lead from the foyer down to the lower accommodations were 4 double staterooms all with en-suite heads with separate showers, counter tops and floors are done in Italian marble.

The first two staterooms to port and starboard have two full size lower twin beds with end table in between. The two forward staterooms are identical queen staterooms. All of these staterooms are large and comfortable with good closet and drawer space with additional storage under the beds.

Sound levels under way and at anchor are pleasantly low.

Crew Quarters

There are two large separate crew cabins starboard side with double beds and port side with queen size bed, separate heads and shared shower.

The cabins are accessed directly and from the boat deck. In the cabin on the port side is the entrance to the forepeak of the vessel there is also a safe for storing large items.

Engine and Mechanical Equipment

The engine room is accessed via the aft deck through a watertight door. As you would expect in a vessel designed for world cruising, the engine room is extremely large and well laid out. There is full standing room throughout and easy access to all equipment with consideration given to the individual who will maintain the equipment. There is a centerline workbench with sink and overhead cabinets. The main engines and generators are fed off a centerline day tank that will supply in excess of 24 hours running time, the first 12 hours of which provide a positive pressure to the main engines.

The fuel system is designed so that the Aqua Laval fuel cleaning systems can be run 24/7 with it, pulling from the two main tanks filling the day tank. As the day tank over fills, it will overflow back to the two main tanks, this not only assures that the fuel in all three tanks is clean, but also that the fuel in the day tank is cool. Should you only wish to transfer fuel at set intervals, the day tank is designed so that the two main tanks act as heat sinks to equalize the fuel temperature. There are three ways of transferring fuel, including a manual pump.

There are two sea chest pickups in the engine room with a cross over pipe that feed all of raw water systems. The pickups are designed so either one can run the entire systems when partially clogged. Each pickup can be separated from the system and are fitted with a compressed air blow down for quickly clearing them. 

The piping running from the cross over pipe is CiNi all main pipelines are made of stainless steel. Wherever possible pipe joints have welded flanged fitting and piping has been designed to be removable for servicing.

You will find that most key systems are backed up, this includes but is not limited to, fresh water, bilge and fire. There is an escape hatch from the engine room and also access to the lazarette and via the lazarette to the aft deck. The entire engine room is a steel box, there are manual shutdowns for the variable speed reversing fans with air cut off flaps, fuel and engine shut offs. 

The A/C electrical system is backed up on key equipment by (8) 8D battery’s powered inverter system, which allows you to go dead ship for up to 10 hours and still maintain all refrigeration, freezers, fresh water and other systems.

It is possible to use only one Main Engine on crossings.

The anchor system was specifically designed to hold two distinctly different anchors, the 440 pd plow on the centerline, the all-around anchor, for sand, hard packed sand, grass and other solid bottoms. On the starboard side a 550 pd naval style Danforth for soft sand, mud and other bottoms were large surface areas increase holding. There are stainless steel strike pads integrated into the stem and stainless-steel slap guards on the deck running from the windlass to the stainless-steel chain pipe for the Danforth and stainless-steel anchor pulpit for the plow.

Comfortable wheelhouse in true expedition style, raised 6' 6" settee with granite table can double as pilot berth. 

Excellent visibility in all conditions out of the reverse angle windows, the center section of the helm instrument area was lowered to assure a clear view when seated or standing.

The wheelhouse is done in natural Brazilian Mahogany with 3/4" Mahogany and Marfine laid floor that run throughout the vessel.

There is a full Portuguese bridge and side wing stations accessed via port and starboard side doors. Sound levels in the pilothouse are extremely quiet, when the engines are started it is necessary to check the rpm gauges to assure yourself that the engines are running.

Internal stairs lead up to the large flybridge. There is a full helm station, sunning area with large storage areas below, granite top bar and Lava Rock BBQ, further aft is a beautiful Brazilian Mahogany dinning table that seats eight. All the way aft is Jacuzzi, freshwater shower and stern Davit.

Inace Explorer Yacht AB Normal For Sale

The 29 metre explorer yacht AB Normal has been listed for sale by John DeCaro at All Ocean Yachts .

A classic aft raised pilothouse yacht, AB Normal was built in steel and aluminium by Brazilian yard Inace to a design by Michael Kirschstein and delivered in 2006 as one of the yard’s Explorer 95 models with a full refit in 2009 and again in 2019.

Accommodation is for eight guests in four cabins, all with entertainment centres, flatscreen television sets and en suite bathroom facilities, while a further two cabins sleep three crewmembers aboard this  yacht for sale .

She boasts a main saloon complete with a homely seating area. Light sofas lie adjacent to the dining area, with leather sofa seating on one side and a stunning contemporary table.

There is also a sophisticated entertainment centre featuring an NEC 60-inch flatscreen television set on a rise and fall mechanism, and a Bose stereo surround sound system.

For outdoor enthusiasts, the flybridge offers an al fresco dining area, barbecue grill, sun loungers and sun pads. Her top speed is 14 knots and she boasts a maximum cruising range of 4,000 nautical miles at 10 knots with power coming from two 440hp Caterpillar 3406E-DITA diesel engines.

Lying in St Maarten,  AB Normal  is asking $6,895,000.
