Following on the success of the Nordship 40 DS, the Danish Yard is developing a new Nordship 380 DS, which fits in to the new concept of a huge cockpit, divided into two areas, one for steering and trimming and one absolutely free of lines which offers comfortable seating for 6-8 persons around a large cockpit table.

General - NORDSHIP 380 DS

GRP sailing yacht Nordship 380DS, built in 2009 and due to circumstances never used, built by Nordship Denmark, CE/A classification, GRP hull, deck and superstructure, teak deck, cockpit is divided into 2 sections, the forward section is absolutely free of ropes and lines and gives comfortable seating for 6-8 persons around the large cockpit table, perspex windows in aluminium framing, white round bilged hull, steel keel with lead torpedo attached with stainless steel bolts approx. 9 tonnes, displacement approx. 3,2 tonnes, stainless steel fueltank approx. 290 ltrs., stainless steel fresh water tank approx. 2 x 180 ltrs., GRP sump tank approx. 90 ltrs., Beta mechanical wheel steering, steering wheel covered in leather, emergency tiller.

Aluminium mast, furling main, conventional mainsail, furlex genoa system, self tacking jib 28 m2, stoway reefingsystem, mechanical backstay adjuster, mechanical boomvang, All sheets and hallyards are led back to the helm position and are controlled by the Anderson winches. The lead of the lines, from mast to cockpit is hidden under the coachroof and pass through individual continuous stainless steel tubes to ensure no snags and wear or tear by friction.
