Delivered earlier this year, the 136m/446ft motor yacht ‘Flying Fox’ made plenty of waves when she joined the international charter fleet. Now, you can take a sneak peak inside the world’s largest charter yacht.
With elegant and sinuous exteriors from Espen Oeino and quality German craftsmanship by Lurssen, Flying Fox is a masterclass in cutting-edge design.
Top that off with interior styling by British studio Mark Berryman, and you’ve got a charter yacht that offers the finest in luxury living.
At 136m (446ft), Flying Fox is the world’s largest yacht that you can rent.
Even better? The yacht is PYC-compliant, meaning she can host up to 22 people on board.
Here’s what you can expect when you charter this mammoth megayacht.
Adjoining the beach club, you can take full advantage of a 400 square-metre spa that spans two floors.
The central spa plays host to an enormous jacuzzi pool, with direct access to the sea lounge and swim platform.
The upper spa area boasts a marble hammam and sauna, as well as a treatment room where you can indulge in a massage or pampering beauty treatments.
What’s more, the spa also has access to a state-of-the-art Cryosauna.
The yacht’s transverse pool on the aft deck is hard to miss, stretching out invitingly with a perfect situation that will afford excellent views over the surroundings.
In addition to this, you will be spoilt for choice for places to relax and unwind.
Forward of the pool there are a number of lounging areas and a bar, while the upper deck has a convivial selection of seating spots with a structured glass skylight in the centre.
The yacht also volunteers numerous side terraces, a locker of the latest toys and a dedicated dive centre in the beach club.
Flying Fox has not one, but two helipads, with one on the foredeck and a second positioned on the upper deck aft.
Their impressive size and D-values means that they can accommodate some of the largest helicopters on the market, allowing you to arrive and depart in complete style.
The interiors of Flying Fox have been styled to reflect a neutral and tasteful theme, with Oriental-inspired accents that contribute to the soothing ambience.
Throughout the yacht, satin-finish blonde wood works in perfect harmony with neutral tones offset by fresh infusions of leafy green foliage.
A split-level atrium takes pride of place as the main salon, with a wooden fireplace and formal dining for up to 22 diners.
As an added bonus, you can enjoy the complete entertainment experience on board, thanks to a cinema with luxurious D-box seats.
The principal charter guest will love the owner’s suite, with its private spa pool on deck and mammoth en-suite with a free-standing bath in the centre.
The apartment comes equipped with a large sofa seating area, a built-in fireplace and a large TV screen.

British technology tycoon Mike Lynch is missing after a British-flagged luxury yacht sank in bad weather off the coast of Sicily, sources said. A total of 15 people were rescued from the 55m (180ft) vessel, but another seven are still missing, according to the area's mayor.
A baby, along with its mother, was reportedly among those rescued and taken to hospital, according to Italian news outlet Corriere. Four British passengers, two Americans and a Canadian are said to be missing, Italian news agency Ansa reported. One body has been found, but it is not known what country the person who died is from.
The body, believed to be the vessel's chef, was found near the wreck at a depth of 50m (164ft), fire and rescue services said. A spokesperson for Mr Lynch declined to comment.
Mr Lynch, who founded software giant Autonomy in 1996, was made an OBE for services to enterprise in 2006. Earlier this year he was cleared of conducting a massive fraud relating to a 11-billion-dollar (£8.64 billion) sale to US company Hewlett Packard.
Local media said a fierce storm, including water spouts, battered the area overnight. The superyacht, named Bayesian, capsized at around 5am off Palermo and was flying a British flag, according to ship-tracking site Marine Traffic.
The body was found near the wreck at a depth of 50m (164ft), the fire and rescue services said. The daily Il Giornale di Sicilia newspaper reported that the yacht had mostly British passengers on board, but also people from New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Ireland and British-French citizens.
Speaking earlier, Filippo Tripoli, the mayor of Bagheria in Sicily, said: "This morning, off the coast of Santa Flavia, a foreign boat sank due to bad weather, 15 people recovered and seven missing. Already all the police forces and emergency services are operational and our Red Cross volunteers are present."
Karsten Borner, captain of a nearby boat, told journalists "a little baby and the wife of the owner" of the Bayesian were among the survivors, while those missing included the owner and a child, news agency Reuters reported. He said his crew took on board some survivors who were on a life raft, including three who were seriously injured.
One of the survivors, a British tourist named Charlotte, told la Reppublica she held her one-year-old daughter, Sofia, to stop her from drowning. She said: "I held her afloat with all my strength, my arms stretched upwards to keep her from drowning.
"It was all dark. In the water I couldn't keep my eyes open. I screamed for help but all I could hear around me was the screams of others."
Charlotte and Sofia are being treated in hospital, as is Charlotte's husband, James.
A spokesman for the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) said: "We are in contact with the local authorities following an incident in Sicily, and stand ready to provide consular support to British nationals affected."
Bayesian completed a number of sailings in recent days, calling at various ports in Sicily, according to ship-tracking website VesselFinder. The superyacht can accommodate up to 12 guests in six suites.
She was built in 2008 by Italian company Perini Navi. Her registered owner is listed as Revtom Ltd. There is little publicly-available online information about the company, which appears to be based on the Isle of Man.
