Sunreef Yachts was founded in 2002 by French businessman Francis Lapp. Seeking to explore the potential of luxury catamarans, Lapp established the company in Gdańsk, Poland, a city with a rich shipbuilding heritage. Excess is a gorgeous example of the Sunreef brand, renowned for their exceptional build quality and luxurious fit and finish.  She has a 4 queen cabin layout with 2 additional crew cabins.  All cabins, including the crew cabins, have full A/C and en suite showers and heads.  The beautiful real wood bamboo finish on the interior gives her a warm and inviting feel throughout.  The Port side forward bow locker is equipped with a complete workshop including tools and workbench. A custom bar and sink were added to the cockpit for a huge improvement to guest entrainment and comfort.  Her factory options include a carbon fiber mast and park avenue boom.

Originally launched in Dec 2011 as hull # 9 of the Sunreef 70 series. Excess has sailed extensively throughout the Mediterranean and Caribbean.  She has been consistently cared for by a professional crew and received comprehensive maintenance and yard periods, including a substantial refit in 2018.  

For the past several years, Excess has been operating as a successful crewed charter yacht based in St Thomas, USVI.  She typically operates with 8 guests in 4 queen cabins, with additional accommodations for 3 crew.  She is a turnkey operation ready to continue being run as a crewed charter business or transitioned into private ownership.

Excess is fully equipped with all large yacht essentials. Excess  features a 5-cabin layout with 4 queen ensuite guest cabins and a crew double bunk bed cabin.  There is also an addition crew berth and head in the starboard forepeak, allowing  Excess  to comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests and 3 crew.  All cabins have their own head and separate shower stall.  The master suite has a commodious desk and settee lounge.  The interior is finished in gorgeous real Bamboo cabinetry with Corian counter tops and tasteful vinyl headliners and accents throughout.  She sports top quality upholstered furniture and Sunbrella exteriors cushions which were recently recovered. 

Excess  has spacious exterior lounge areas including the aft cockpit with a dining table, wet bar, and drink fridge.  Up at the flybridge, there are large sunbed loungers, another dining table, and the helm position.  The perfect place for guests to enjoy an al fresca meal or a cocktail at sunset!

The large, well-laid out galley features all the appliances necessary for a chef to turn out masterful cuisine.  Ample counter space allows for plating of multi course meals for all 8 guests and crew.  There is a huge amount of pantry and storage space as well.  A full-sized fridge, two ovens, a double basin sink, dishwasher, and a large 4-burner stove make for a chef's dream galley.

For Sale: Sunreef 60

The Sunreef 60 Power Catamaran has a superyacht-size beam of 35 feet, which translates to home-size living spaces on a 60-footer. HMY Yacht Sales currently has Nero , a 2022 Sunreef 60, listed with a $4.695 million price tag. 

“ Nero is the most highly customized Sunreef 60 Power Catamaran that has launched to date,” HMY says. “No expense was spared by her owners in the development of her machinery spaces, galley, stateroom layouts and appointments, and absolute top of the line electronic equipment and tender choices.”

The upgraded, 1,000 kg hydraulic swim platform capable of stowing the Williams Dieseljet 445 tender with Yanmar 110 hp engines further reinforces this sentiment.

Twin 705 hp Cummins QSM 11 diesels give Nero a 15.5-knot top speed. On the flybridge, the helm station sits forward on the centerline with a three-person bench and a raked and tinted windshield which helps to greatly reduce glare. A U-shaped dinette, capable of seating eight with two chairs pulled up, sits abaft the helm station. A sunroof above the dinette helps guests keep an eye on the blue skies above while enjoying elevated alfresco dining.

Nero ’s foredeck wastes no space with a lounge area built in between the yacht’s superstructure and the walkaround teak deck. The cockpit has alfresco dining for eight with the transom bench seat and chairs pulled up to the fixed table. 

The main deck’s interior has a sofa and fixed table to port and the galley to starboard. The galley feature’s an oversized island in the center of the salon and a range of appliances, including:

• Miele dishwasher 
• Bosch speed oven with microwave, convection and conventional oven capabilities  
• 55-inch Samsung television
• Sonos surround sound 
• Two-door Liebherr refrigerator
• Miele cooktop
• Oversized sink 

After a fun day on the water comes to an end, Nero has four staterooms belowdecks to accommodate up to eight guests. There’s also a starboard-side captain’s cabin aft. The master stateroom has a king berth and an en suite shower. A queen-berth VIP is forward while two en suite guest staterooms can be accessed forward of the galley.

Frenchman Francis Lapp founded the Polish company Sunreef Yachts in Gdansk in 2002, when his travel company needed large, comfortable catamarans that were not available for sale.

The first flybridge catamaran 74 CHE was launched in 2003, with 70 Power JAMBO double deck in 2008, Ultimate series in 2010. The Supreme series has been produced since 2016, the classic style sailing catamarans since 2017. In 2021, the 70 Sunreef Power is slated to be released from the new line of power catamarans.

Sunreef produces 24 models in lengths of 39-213 feet: Power cruising catamarans, Sailing sailing multihulls, and Supreme series of sailing and power catamarans. Eco Catamarans are available in four models that combine the benefits of an electric motor, the comfort of a superyacht, and a holistic approach to sustainable solutions.

The company produces catamarans made of aluminum and composite materials: with a double deck, with oblique sails and with a IPS Volvo steering system . The production of masts with a height of more than 25 meters and solar panels has been mastered, adapting to any structure on board, even to a curved carbon bimini roof.

Francis Lapp was named Entrepreneur of the Year in 2013 at the boat show in Cannes, and his models have received awards from various prestigious exhibitions. In 2020, 80 Sunreef Power won two awards - Innovation in China and Best in Show at the Miami Boat Show.

The shipyard is located in Gdansk on the banks of the Martva Vistula River, providing access to rivers and the sea . It is planned to increase production capacity on a four-hectare site.

Sunreef Yachts has gained recognition in the market for its catamarans and has produced more than 140 units. Every year the design office develops at least two new models , each catamaran is made according to the individual order of the owner.

24m Sunreef catamaran Kokomo for sale

The 23.96 metre Sunreef Yachts catamaran Kokomo has been listed for sale with S6 Marine. 

Delivered in 2021, Kokomo is one of the newest 80 Sunreef Power models currently available on the market. She was designed for a family of five looking to enjoy extended voyages in the Mediterranean and Caribbean and features a 'galley-up' configuration with an open galley on the main deck. 

Kokomo' s interior is bright and contemporary, finished in white linens, eucalyptus veneers and loose rattan furniture. 

Guest entering the main saloon from the aft deck are greeted by a light-filled space with a sofa to starboard and the galley to port with custom coffee tables in between. A 55-inch flat-screen television pops up from the galley island and can act as a divider between the two areas. 

Further forward is a dining table with 360-degree ocean views as well as a smaller nook with an L-shaped sofa.

Accommodation is configured as a four-cabin layout and sleeps a total of eight guests. A generous master suite offers a king-size bed, sofa and an en suite bathroom, while the remaining guest accommodation comprises a VIP suite and two guest cabins.

There are three key exterior areas to note on board, the first of which is a large aft deck with al fresco dining and a toy garage concealed beneath a sofa with a modular backrest. A hydraulic platform drops down to water level to launch and recover the tender and doubles as a swim platform offering guest access to the water.

The second exterior area is a large sun lounge at the bow with sofas and a large panel of sunpads, and the third is Kokomo 's flybridge deck, which is home to a bar, barbecue and another al fresco dining space beneath the shade of a hard top.

Power comes from a pair of 1,200hp MAN diesel engines delivering a top speed of 23 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots.

Kokomo is offered for sale with price on application and is available to view at the Monaco Yacht Show .
