Savannah riverboat cruises offers a variety of special holiday-themed riverboat cruises to delight kids from one to 92..

Enjoy the perfect way to enjoy the season, seeing Savannah all decked up with a water view. Cruises offer a spectacular buffets, Southern-inspired specialties, Hors D’oeuvres with drink specials and even a guest appearance by Santa!!!

Savannah Riverboat tours leave the dock right next to the exact location where General Oglethrope first landed on the river front and head upriver, into the Port of Savannah and then turn around and head back under the Eugene Talmadge Memorial Bridge and past the historic river front. The tours continue downriver passing the world famous Waving Girl, Florence Martus, through the ship yards and just past the tip of Hutchinson Island and Old Fort Jackson.  There, the boat circles back upriver to arrive gently back at the dock.

City Market New Year’s Eve

Enjoy the celebration in the center of it all with New Year’s Eve at City Market . Make reservations at one of the many restaurants, then stroll through the market to enjoy the festivities, including live outdoor music throughout the evening. Stop by the many bars to enjoy their New Year’s festivities, or keep the party going outside. Since open containers are allowed in Savannah’s historic district, you can take your drinks on the go.

Tybee New Year’s Eve Fireworks

If you’re looking for a quieter New Year’s Eve, take a trip to the beach to enjoy fireworks with the family during the Tybee Island NYE Fireworks show. Bring a blanket and chairs and huddle together on the sand as you enjoy the fireworks display, or take it all in from a beachfront restaurant. The fireworks are set off from the Walter W. Parker Pier at midnight, so be sure to get a spot to enjoy the show.

Up the Cup on River Street

This is Savannah, and we don’t do anything the normal way. So, instead of the traditional New Year’s Eve ball drop, Savannahians welcome in the new year with a twist; by raising a cup instead of dropping a ball. The Up the Cup event takes place every New Year’s Eve on River Street from 8 PM to 12 AM, and it’s a salute to the to-go cups you’ll see while walking through Savannah’s historic downtown streets. Stop by to enjoy the fireworks and countdown, and raise a glass of your own to the new year.
