The Marina is easily accessible by CAR, by TRAIN and by PLANE. For those arriving by car, from the South: on the A2 del Mediterraneo exit Pontecagnano. From the North: on the A30 and A1 exit Salerno-Fratte. From there, take the Salerno ring road and exit 4-Mariconda. A large parking area is available inside the Marina. For those arriving by train, we recommend getting off at the FS Salerno Centrale station, served by high-speed trains. The Marina is connected to the station by light rail, "Stadio Arechi" stop. Otherwise, buses are available: lines 5 and 24 Busitalia Campania. For those arriving by plane, the Marina is only 14 kilometers from Salerno "Costa d'Amalfi" airport, dedicated to general aviation. Capodichino International Airport with scheduled flights is 67 kilometers away. Every day at 2 pm the connection by ship Salerno-Messina is active, an excellent idea also for customers who choose to experience the one way charter between our two bases in Southern Italy!

If you are looking for a marina in Italy, Venezia Certosa Marina in Venice, Marina D'Arechi on the Amalfi Coast and Marina Di Portisco in Sardinia are situated in stunning locations, offer top notch facilities and are attractively priced.

Situated on Certosa Island, a mere 10 minutes away from Venice’s famous St Mark’s Square, Venezia Certosa Marina is built on 24 hectares of natural beauty which has recently been regenerated. The marina boasts 300 moorings and can accommodate boats up to 60 metres, including deep draft yachts.

Two mariners were rescued after a yacht caught on fire in Clearwater Saturday morning.

A U.S. Coast Guard Station Sand Key boat crew assisted in extinguishing a 50-foot yacht fire in Clearwater Harbor.

A good Samaritan reported the fire via a VHF radio channel and transferred two mariners to the Clearwater Harbor Marina for medical assistance.

Details on what prompted the fire were not released.

SMOKE plumes filled the air after a yacht shockingly exploded at a packed marina.

The severely damaged yacht was being refueled at Schooner Island Marina in Wildwood, New Jersey when the fire broke out on Thursday, August 22.

The fire was responsible for "forcing one person on board to jump to safety," local Fox affiliate WTXF-TV  reported.

There were no serious injuries, but the boat sank to the bottom of the marina, according to the outlet.

Witnesses said the fire was the result of an explosion and that the 40-foot yacht was refueling when the fire began, NJ.com reported.

Bystanders attempted to slow the flames as firefighters arrived at the scene.

Wildwood firefighters received the call at 12:40 pm and "had the fire under control" by 1:20 pm, according to WTXF-TV.

However, swirling smoke clouds remained visible around 2 pm as police and fire officials responded to the incident, per NJ.com.

Though blocks away, beachgoers could see the smoke and took pictures as it soared through the sky and was pushed by winds.

Local police at the scene said the New Jersey State Police are heading the investigation, per the publication.

Patrons watched the scene from afar as the scent of gasoline filled the air.

Witness Paul Daiber has been storing his boat at the marina for 25 years.

At the time of the fire, he was fishing at the end of the deck opposite from where the affected yacht was moored, the outlet reported.

This was the first time he saw a boat explosion at the marina.

"It's scary," he told NJ.com, describing the explosion as a powerful thud.

He said debris from the yacht was sent into the air, landing on nearby docks.

Per Daiber, bystanders rushed to find fire extinguishers.

Firefighter crews tried drenching the blaze which turned into an inferno and was visible from across the marina, he told the outlet.

"It just progressively got worse and worse until it erupted in flames," Daiber continued.

"A huge explosion. It was like something out of a movie," another witness told WTXF-TV, adding that she heard a "boom!"

She continued, "And the next thing you know, I saw the deck from the boot flying up in the air from one dock to another, and it flew over to our dock.

"Next thing you know, there's all black smoke, and next thing was flames.

"And everyone was just rushing down, trying to get hoses and fire extinguishers."

Her husband told WTXF-TV that the yacht was "too far gone" as bystanders tried to help.

Witnesses and other marina boat owners thought that fumes from the gasoline could have ignited and caused the explosion, the outlet reported.

However, an official cause has not yet been reported as the situation remains under investigation.

Yacht Catches Fire, Sinks at Wildwood Marina; No Injuries Reported

WILDWOOD, NJ — A 42-foot yacht caught fire and sank on Thursday afternoon while moored at the fuel dock of Schooner Island Marina, according to the City of Wildwood Fire Department. The vessel was fully engulfed in flames before 1 p.m., prompting a significant emergency response.

Firefighters from Wildwood, North Wildwood, and Erma initially responded to the scene. Upon arrival, the severity of the fire led to an upgrade to a full first alarm assignment, which brought in off-duty firefighters and additional resources from Wildwood Crest, Rio Grande, and Stone Harbor fire companies. Fire boats from North Wildwood and Stone Harbor also assisted in battling the blaze.

The fire happened just feet away from the marina fuel pumps.

The firefighters launched an “aggressive attack” on the fire, which had spread to the dock and a nearby shed. Despite their efforts, the yacht eventually sank due to the large volume of water used to extinguish the flames. A subsequent fuel fire ignited on the water’s surface but was quickly contained using foam. The fire was declared under control within approximately 40 minutes.

No injuries were reported in the incident. Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.

PHILADELPHIA — A 33-year-old man was fatally shot, and a 9-year-old boy was injured in a violent incident on Friday evening in North Philadelphia, according to the Philadelphia Police Department. Officers from the 9th District responded to reports of a "Person with a Gun" at the 600 block of North 12th Street at approximately 6:19 p.m.

When police arrived at the scene, they discovered two victims. The 33-year-old man had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his torso, and the 9-year-old boy had been shot once in the right leg. Both victims were transported to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital by police. The 33-year-old man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 9:31 p.m. The young boy is in stable condition.

According to a preliminary investigation, the deceased man was standing on the tosf at the location when a black Jeep approached. Two unidentified males exited the vehicle and chased him with firearms.

As the victim attempted to enter a nearby vehicle, where the 9-year-old boy was inside, the assailants opened fire. The boy fled the vehicle during the shooting, and the victim returned fire before the suspects fled in their vehicle.

The Homicide Unit is actively investigating the incident. No arrests have been made, and the suspects remain at large.

PHILADELPHIA — A 35-year-old man was shot and killed in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia on Friday night, according to police. Officers from the 24th District responded to a report of a "Person with a Gun" at the intersection of Kensington Avenue and Tusculum Street at approximately 10:25 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim with gunshot wounds to his abdomen. He was immediately transported to Temple University Hospital by police, where he was pronounced dead at 10:56 p.m., according to the Philadelphia Police Department.

The Homicide Unit is currently investigating the incident. No arrests have been made, and the motive for the shooting remains unclear.

TOMS RIVER, N.J. — Senator Jim Holzapfel, Assemblyman Greg McGuckin, and Assemblyman Paul Kanitra (R-10) have issued a call for legislative hearings concerning the proposal to lay high-risk power cables through densely populated residential streets in Ocean County. These cables would supply power to a potential offshore wind turbine project, a key component of Governor Phil Murphy's energy master plan.

"Governor Murphy continues forcing through his reckless energy master plan with no regard to our communities and no concern for the cost, all to get his name in the news for making New Jersey the California of the East Coast," said the Legislative District 10 Delegation.

The delegation emphasized the need for a cautious approach, particularly when such projects intersect with residential areas. "These projects are high-risk and when we’re dealing with residential areas, we must slow down and do our due diligence to understand all the ramifications, potential dangers, and unintended consequences before breaking ground," they stated.

They are advocating for legislative hearings to ensure that all aspects of the project are thoroughly examined and that the interests and safety of New Jersey residents are prioritized. "The best way to proceed is with legislative hearings to ensure we act in the best interest of all New Jerseyans," the delegation concluded.

The call for hearings underscores growing concerns among local leaders about the pace and safety of the state's push toward renewable energy, particularly in relation to offshore wind projects and their associated infrastructure.

Sunrise Yachts, a luxury yacht building company which is based in Turkey, has been made a main sponsor of next year’s 2011 Moscow International Boat Show (MIBS). The four-day Russian yacht show event is currently scheduled to run from April 14-17 at the Moscow’s Crocus exhibition centre.

MIBS is organised by the ITE Group and it is one of Russia’s leading boat shows and is an internationally recognised superyacht event. The show covering everything from small parts and accessories to large superyacht with over 9,000 people and 178 exhibitors attended the last year show.

The Paolo Scanu-designed Sunrise 45 yacht is an ocean-going cruising yacht that was released in 2009 to much acclaim at this was the group’s first-ever model.

Sunrise Yachts was founded in 2007 by the German entrepreneur Herbert P Baum along with the French-British yacht builder Guillaume Roché. The luxury yacht group is based in Antalya, Turkey and utilises a 10,000sq m shipyard facility. Sunrise has two sheds measuring 100m (328ft) x 16m (53ft), as well as a 70m (230ft) x 16m (53ft) fully acclimatized paint shed that can accommodate new-build and refit projects up to 65m (213ft) in length and 1,200 tonnes displacement.

Along each side of the yacht-building facility, space is available for long-term sub-contractors with the latest equipment and logistics capabilities, along with air-conditioned storage, ventilation and extraction plants. The shipyard is organized as an “assembler,” based loosely on the car industry’s model, with a small, yet powerful project management team charged with running all the in-house long-term sub-contractors.
