Key Largo is Florida at it's best and the Kawama Yacht Club is right in the heart of Key Largo.  Bordered on the east by the Atlantic Ocean and on the south by a mangrove wildlife sanctuary, Kawama Yacht Club is 3 acres of paradise consisting of privately owned villas, townhouses and the prestigious oceanfront 5 story tower. The 5-story tower consists of beautiful, spacious 2-bedroom/2-bath condos with private balconies.  Properties within the rest of the complex vary.  The 60 units making up Phase I are one and two bedroom properties, the villas have three bedrooms, and the townhouses are either two or three bedroom properties.  All properties have kitchen, dining and living areas, and central air conditioning. Less than 1 hour from Miami and 5 minutes from John Pennekamp State Park.  Shopping and great restaurants close by.  Also diving, fishing and snorkeling. Amenities include: Security gate Sandy beach and swimming lake 2 large swimming pools Marina and boat ramp Boat Storage Lighted tennis courts Gazebo Adjacent wildlife sanctuary Playground Walking path around lake Dockage available for a fee Fishing jetty

Located in the Kawama Yacht Club, our end unit sleeps 8 guests comfortably. The unit is equipped with central air conditioning, dishwasher, washer/dryer, new TVs, high-speed WiFi access, It is well-stocked with linens and kitchen supplies. We're located on a saltwater lagoon with two beaches and rafts.

This private gated community is great for families and children of all ages:  it has 2 swimming pools, a children's playground, and tennis courts. Within the complex is access to a jetty for fishing or just relaxing. Fishing equipment is available. A boat ramp is available.  One boat is permitted per unit and must provide proof of at least $300,000 of insurance. 

 There are also many other ramps and marinas close by.

Most of us have been visiting Key Largo too long to admit, dating back to when Nana first moved to the Rock Harbor club (just down the road) in the 1970s.  We've been vacationing down here ever since, and it holds a dear spot for multiple generations in our families.  We have fond memories here... of being young, of key lime pie and rum runners, dive trips, and stone crab. 

We are mostly New England natives now living all over, although we picked up a Texan and Alaskan native along the way, too.  We are Red Sox fans, occasional (OK, often) party animals, nature lovers, educators, and experienced divers.  

We love Key Largo and are confident you will, too!
