Fisher 30' seaworthiness
In my opinion, the Fisher 30 (or other Fisher boats) would be fine in the Mediterranean as far as being able to take it, and for coastal cruising too. This assumes the boat is well maintained, the captain knows to avoid very bad weather, and the captain is prudent in navigating. 1.

In the 90s I delivered a motor-sailor from Hawaii to California. I think it was a Fisher 38. It sailed like a pig, but it had lots of fuel and motored very well. It was nice , in that I only had to put on foulies a few times in the trip. The sailing on its tender ear was not fun, but most people with that type of boat , just motor everywhere.
Fisher 30 advice
Have been sailing a Fisher Northeaster for a year or so. Would say for a 30 ft boat she is very safe in any reasonable conditions. The standard 30 is less beam than the Northeaster but probably very similar. Not sparkling under sail of course but will plug into a nasty sea under engine very well. Under good conditions 6 knots is average.
