The Uniflite 48 Convertible is a handsome and good-running offshore sportfisherman built to compete in tournament-level events. She’s constructed on a solid fiberglass modified-V hull design with balsa coring in the hullsides from the waterline up. This was Uniflite’s largest  foray into the big-boat sportfishing market.

"SAVVY" is only on her second owner who has had the boat for a short time (change of plans). This boats original owner constantly upgraded the boat throughout her life and it shows.

Specifications

"SAVVY" is the ultimate West Coast Sportfisher. This boat has been constantly upgraded throughout her life by the original owner who owned the boat for 38 years. The interior, exterior and flybridge have been refit. The open layout, West Coast bow rails, and large fuel capacity, make this 48 a sportfisherman that is ready for coastal and long range fishing trips.

This 48 Uniflite has a large cockpit for plenty of fishing room. Forward and to Port and Starboard are 2 giant Bait tanks for extended trips. A new 110 volt bait pump with a 12 volt back up pump provide ample water flow and redundancy.

Moving forward are a pair of Precision Marine outriggers. Passage to the boaw is easy with the large West Coast rails. All the way forward is a spacious bow with an electric windlass, 1000 pound davit and pulpit.

Stepping in from the cockpit, you will find a wide open salon and Galley layout. To port is a large custom sofa that folds out into a large bunk. To starboard is a large dinette with a gas strut table that lowers to create an additional berth. 

Forward to starboard is the galley, complete with cooktop, microwave, trash compactor, refrigerator and freezer.

To port is a custom entertainment center with a DVD player and surround sound.

Stepping down from the galley, you will find 2 open berths mid ships to Port. Forward is the Master suite with full head and shower. Across from the Master is the guest head with shower. The head system has been updated to a Vacuflush system.

All the way forward is the guest stateroom with over-under berths and hanging lockers. This boat sleeps 8 comfortably.

Up the ladder from the cockpit you will find a true tournament bridge. This 48 has seen some  major upgrades over the years. There is a full Furuno electronics suite, Simrad Autopilot, multiple VHF's, and a SEA Single Sideband radio. Visibility all around the boat from the helm is excellent.

"SAVVY is powered by a pair of rebuilt (2001) Cummins 903 diesel Motors that are flawless. Ships power is provided by a 2001 Northern Lights 8KW generator.

Access to the machinery space is excellent, and the entire fuel system was redone from the tanks to the motors. New AGM batteries were installed in 2018 and are charged by a new Pro Mariner smart charger.

The freshwater system has been upgraded to 400 gallons, and with the water maker, freshwater should never be a problem. The water pumps were upraded to smart pumps on a manifold system so if you were ever to lose a pump, the backup will kick in.

(LOCATION: Fort Myers Beach FL) The Uniflite 48 Yacht Fisherman defines the sophisticated fisherman while providing an impressive balance of space and comfort. She comes with a large flybridge, enclosed aft deck, open cockpit, bright open salon, and two private staterooms each with a private head compartment. There is room for everyone and everything.

The flybridge features radar arch, bimini top, full enclosure, new captain & mate chairs, guest seating, and new canvas helm cover. The centerline helm is equipped with: Raymarine RC435 Chart Plotter, Raymarine DS600x Fish Finder, Raymarine Tridata Displays, Auto Helm, Simrad AP25 Autopilot, Icom M604 Marine VHF Radio, Danforth Compass, and Remote Spotlight, An 8-man life raft is stored forward of bridge. Located over the aft deck is an electric power davit that provides for launch and retrieval of your tender. 

The enclosed aft deck is the casual seating area with hard top and full enclosure. You can relax or entertain with the sea around you giving new meaning to "happy hour". Wing doors give access to the side decks, stairs lead down into the salon, and steps to starboard take you down to the open cockpit. The cockpit has room for fishing or relaxing. A transom door opens to an extended swim platform.

Inside, the carpeted salon is bright, open, and features large windows for great views and natural light. There is an L-shaped settee the port side of the salon and to port a lower helm station. Stairways aft lead up to aft deck or below to the master aft cabin. Forward an open stairway leads down to galley and dinette.and forward cabin. The galley features teak upper & lower cabinets, solid surface counter, stainless steel sink, and three-burner range with oven. Appliances include overhead microwave oven and a stand up refrigerator/freezer. The wrap around dinette has a drop-leaf table.

There are two staterooms. The guest stateroom is forward of the galley with double upper &single lower v-berths, under-berth storage, dresser drawers, hanging lockers, and head compartment with vanity and separate shower. The master aft stateroom has queen berth, loveseat, dressing table, dresser drawers, hanging lockers, doorway to cockpit, and private head compartment with electric toilet vanity, and separate shower.

This 48’ Uniflite is equipped with twin 410-hp 6-71-TI Detroit Diesel engines for long-lasting dependable power. Mechanical features include an Onan generator and Cruise Air reverse cycle central AC. Deck features include bow pulpit with anchor & windlass and two deck lockers. This classic yacht fisherman has room to spare.
