General condition and any additional information
This is an ideal Mac 26S if you tow and launch regularly. Its optimized for trailer sailing and can be launched straight off the trailer, rigging down, and motored away while raising the rigging (in minutes). You can drop the rigging before returning to the boat launch, too. Its amazing how much nicer that makes the trailer sailing experience.
Standard features
Standard running rigging (main plus jib) plus 140 percent Doyle genoa. Tohatsu 8 HP two-stroke
Extra gear included
Rocna 4 anchor with 155 rode (27 chain plus 128 rope). Second, Danforth anchor as back-up or for stern achoring.
Improvements to the hull, deck, rigging, engine, or interior
Custom-made mast raising system. Raise the mast in minutes, on land or on the water. Trailer has stainless steel disc brakes. New interior foam as of 2017. Always stored under a canopy, with heat and a dehumidifier during the winter.

The theoretical maximum speed that a displacement hull can move efficiently through the water is determined by it's waterline length and displacement. It may be unable to reach this speed if the boat is underpowered or heavily loaded, though it may exceed this speed given enough power. Read more.

Hull Speed = 1.34 x √LWL
Max Speed/Length ratio = 8.26 ÷ Displacement/Length ratio .311 Hull Speed = Max Speed/Length ratio x √LWL
Sail Area / Displacement Ratio
A measure of the power of the sails relative to the weight of the boat. The higher the number, the higher the performance, but the harder the boat will be to handle. This ratio is a "non-dimensional" value that facilitates comparisons between boats of different types and sizes. Read more.
SA/D = SA ÷ (D ÷ 64) 2/3
- SA : Sail area in square feet, derived by adding the mainsail area to 100% of the foretriangle area (the lateral area above the deck between the mast and the forestay).
- D : Displacement in pounds.
Ballast / Displacement Ratio
A measure of the stability of a boat's hull that suggests how well a monohull will stand up to its sails. The ballast displacement ratio indicates how much of the weight of a boat is placed for maximum stability against capsizing and is an indicator of stiffness and resistance to capsize.

Displacement / Length Ratio
A measure of the weight of the boat relative to it's length at the waterline. The higher a boat’s D/L ratio, the more easily it will carry a load and the more comfortable its motion will be. The lower a boat's ratio is, the less power it takes to drive the boat to its nominal hull speed or beyond. Read more.
D/L = (D ÷ 2240) ÷ (0.01 x LWL)³
- D: Displacement of the boat in pounds.
- LWL: Waterline length in feet
Comfort Ratio
This ratio assess how quickly and abruptly a boat’s hull reacts to waves in a significant seaway, these being the elements of a boat’s motion most likely to cause seasickness. Read more.
Comfort ratio = D ÷ (.65 x (.7 LWL + .3 LOA) x Beam 1.33 )

It is located 30 km from the Chinese border. Khabarovsk is the second largest city in the Russian Far East, after Vladivostok. The city became the administrative center of the Far Eastern Federal District of Russia in 2002. Population: 577,345 (2008). The city lies at the confluence of the Amur and Ussuri Rivers, about 800 kilometers north of Vladivostok and is accessible from there by an overnight train running along the Trans-Siberian railway. Rail distance from Moscow is 8,523 km. The city was founded in 1858 as a military outpost named Khabarovka, after a Russian explorer Yerofei Khabarov who founded in 1649 first russian settlement on the Amur river. The post later became an important industrial center for the region. In 1880 Khabarovka received the status of city, and in 1884 it officially became the capital of the Priamurskoye General-Governorship. Only in 1893 the city was given its current name of Khabarovsk. With very good situation at the confluence of the Amur and Ussuri rivers and the construction of Transsiberian Railroad the city began to develop very quickly. In 1894, a department of Russian Geographical Society was formed in Khabarovsk and began initiating the foundation of libraries, theaters, and museums in the city. Since then, Khabarovsk's cultural life has flourished. Since 1938 Khabarovsk began the center of Khabarovsky Krai. Now Khabarovsk is one of the largest and beautiful cities of Russian Far East. It is also an industrial, transport, cultural and scientific center of the Far East. The city has about 100 enterprises of mechanical engineering, metal working, food, easy industries and other branches. The city is the largest transport knot of Far East region. The Khabarovsk railway junction is the biggest in the region. River port is one of the largest on the Amur river. Khabarovsk is a cultural centre. The crew failed to prepare the flight properly and did not follow the pre departure checklist. In such conditions, they did not realize that the rudder trim was not set in neutral position, causing the aircraft to veer off the runway center line during the takeoff roll.
On final approach, the visibility was poor due to severe weather and as the aircraft was too low, it hit with its right wing a radio antenna located 2,600 meters short of the runway threshold.
