Powered by twin MTU engines, she comfortably cruises at 16 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 23 knots with a range of up to 3,915 nautical miles from her 65,000 litre fuel tanks at 12 knots. Africa I features at-anchor stabilizers providing exceptional comfort levels.

Onboard Africa I has a large selection of toys and accessories to keep you and your guests entertained on the water throughout your stay. The AFRICA I yacht is a 46.99 m / 154′2″ luxury motor yacht built with an aluminum superstructure. She benefits from a semi-displacement hull that is great for seakeeping and speed. 

Thanks to her twin MTU M90 16V 4000 engines, she can comfortably cruise at a speed of 12 knots and can reach a maximum speed of 24.2 knots.

She has a range of up to 3,915 nautical miles from her 65,000-liter fuel tanks and is equipped with at-anchor stabilizers that provide outstanding comfort.

The Benetti superyacht ‘Africa I’ is designed to provide visitors with exceptionally unforgettable charter vacations, thanks to the exceptional build quality of the legendary Italian shipyard that built her.

Built by Benetti in 2010, the 47-metre AFRICA I motor yacht cruises quietly at 12 knots and is equipped with a modern stabilisation system to ensure onboard comfort.

Her Francois Zuretti interiors were refreshed in 2019, and as a result, they now have a modern, inviting feel that’s complemented by lots of natural light, funky furnishings and vibrant colours.

Your AFRICA I yacht charter can accommodate 12 guests across six cabins. The master suite on the main deck boasts its own private terrace, while the VIP cabin on the upper deck offers impressive views. The rest of the cabins lie on the lower deck, comprising two doubles and two twins, one of which is designed specifically for children.

The sun deck of the AFRICA I yacht has plenty of space for you to roll out the mat and start the day with morning yoga or a quick workout. Loosen up your muscles with a dip in the Jacuzzi, then take it easy while you recline on the sun loungers.

The main salon is open-plan and feels even more spacious thanks to the combination of large windows and a reflective marble ceiling. At meal times, you can choose between the alfresco table on the main deck aft, the upper deck table or the formal dining room in the main salon.

The upper lounge is perfectly suited for family movie nights. You can curl up on the L-shaped sofa and delve into the film library to choose the perfect film to pop on the cinema screen as you tuck into your favourite snacks.

The motor yacht AFRICA I was launched in 2010 by one of the world leaders in shipbuilding, the Italian Benetti shipyard. The yacht is 47 meters (154.20ft) in length overall, with a beam of 8.8 meters and accommodation for up to 12 charter guests, in 6 cabins. This sleek and contemporary AFRICA I motor yacht underwent a refit in 2019, which included gorgeous new interior design, new water-sport equipment, new carpets and A/V system. The hull FB 50 is a full aluminum semi-displacement mega yacht, which was constructed at the Benetti Pisa Superyachts Shipyard.

Her interiors are bright and well-appointed, with the main salon set in an open plan with the formal dining on the main deck, plus a spacious sky lounge on the upper deck. Both decks are surrounded by panoramic windows, offering fabulous views. The master stateroom is on the main deck forward and boasts a forward-facing view and private exterior space.

AFRICA I Specifications

The Benetti yachts exterior living is laid over 3 decks and is ideal for the ultimate in relaxation or entertaining in style. An aft deck is shaded and offers an alfresco dining table and direct access to the lower swim platform. On the upper deck, are an additional alfresco option and sun pads. The sundeck is perfect for any venue, complete with a Jacuzzi, sun pads, alfresco dining, chaise loungers, and partial shade.

AFRICA I is powered by twin MTU M90 16V 4000 engines, she has cruising speeds of 12 knots and top speeds of 24.2 knots.

If the crew would not be walking in and out of this area, serving the main salon, you would never say that there is a ‘small factory behind that wall’. Highly sophisticated soundproof materials were used in building yacht partitions, as well as a strong air exhaust, so charter guests can enjoy complete silence while dining or relaxing in the living room area. Towards the yacht bow, moving on the starboard side from the main salon, you enter the main hallway with stairs leading up to the upper deck, or down to the lower deck. When chartering in an adults-only environment, this space converts to a nice lobby with a huge walk-in wardrobe and storage. Organized as a modular space with moving walls it can also be closed and used just as invisible storage behind the wall or a secret room… Yacht charter accommodation: the master stateroom Exactly three stairs up, behind a soundproof door, the master stateroom awaits. This accommodation, among all other areas on this yacht, is the place where you can recognize the difference between a Benetti-made yacht…and all others. Towards the yacht`s bow, there is an upper deck pantry and a crew entrance to the bridge. The pantry is vertically situated above the galley, so all the food and beverages come quickly to the upper deck via a food elevator. Towards the stern of the yacht, there is a sky lounge and an exit to the exterior upper deck aft area with an alfresco dining table, bar, and loungers. The upper deck VIP double cabin is a favourite among young couples and guests of a younger generation. It is perfectly appointed with light colours upholstery and vivid details, situated in such a place that has more privacy than any other double cabin on this yacht. A huge top-bottom window ensures amazing morning or sunset panoramas. When covered with three layers of electrically controlled shades, it becomes pitch black. Climbing up from the first upper deck using the stairway, you arrive in an open deck area at the “top of the yacht”. It consists of a big jacuzzi tub fit for six adults on the bow, alongside a jacuzzi lounge spacious enough to hold a big private party.
