History of Discovery Yachts

Discovery Yachts was founded in the year 1998 by John and Caroline Charnley. It was their shared passion for sailing and commitment to producing high-quality blue-water cruising yachts that laid the foundation for the company. The brand was officially launched at the Southampton Boat Show later in September 1998, marking the inception of a company that would soon become a significant player in the yacht manufacturing industry.

The company's initial offering was the Discovery 38, a vessel that set the tone for the quality, innovation, and craftsmanship that would come to define the brand. Over the years, Discovery Yachts has expanded its portfolio, offering a range of yachts that includes the Discovery 55, 58, and 67 models among others. The development of these models has seen the brand set new benchmarks in yacht design, providing top-tier seaworthiness and unparalleled comfort.

Today, Discovery Yachts is situated in Marchwood, Hampshire on the shores of Southampton Water in England. The location boasts an impressive purpose-built facility, allowing all production stages to be conducted in-house. This includes hull moulding, deck fitting, engineering, and even interior design and fitting. Retaining control over each stage ensures the incredibly high standards set by Discovery Yachts' founders continue to be met. The company's vision, dedication and determination have resulted in Discovery Yachts earning a prestigious reputation as a world-leading manufacturer of premier blue-water cruising yachts.

Spacieuse à tous niveaux, elle se pare d'une décoration très chic et très élégante. Ses espaces de vie sont chaleureux et la fluidité de ses volumes est largement appréciable.

Votre arrivée à bord, se fait par une passerelle Besenzoni qui apporte une belle longueur et un usage facilité. La plateforme de bain hydraulique en teck demeure la scène principale pour une baignade à ras de l'eau et au plus près des vagues. Par cette passerelle, nous découvrons l'espace réservé à l'équipage avec deux lits simples, une salle d'eau et plusieurs rangements fonctionnels. L'accès à la cale moteurs est possible ici par l'intermédiaire d'une porte étanche totalement adaptée et bien pratique à l'usage.

Le cockpit arrière est spacieux, il offre une superbe vue mais aussi un bel espace de réception ou de détente. La profondeur du cockpit est très appréciable et appuie la fluidité des mouvements, on se sent à l'aise dans chaque recoin. L'accès au pont avant par les passavants est large tout en bénéficiant d'une belle hauteur sur les côtés pour plus de sécurité. Nous apprécions les passavants protégés grâce au design NAVETTA ... Le pont avant domine avec aisance et dispose d'un très grand bain de soleil avant avec des dossiers inclinables: confort assuré et vue imprenable rêvée.

L'accès au somptueux FLY se fait par un escalier dont les marches sont très joliment recouvertes de teck. Nous arrivons sur un véritable lieu de vie supplémentaire. Les volumes sont vertigineux, les espaces sont propices au bien être et à l'évasion totale. Cet incroyable sommet de la Navetta 68 est sécurisant à tous points de vue, et s'offre même un Hard Top gigantesque. La cuisine toute équipée du FLY vous invite à la détente passionnelle au Bar. Entre luxe et évasion sur l'horizon, vous profitez à coup sûr d'un moment de charme unique ...

Comment ne pas profiter également de son intérieur exquis et de sa décoration à la pointe de l'élégance ? Vous atteignez l'intérieur de la Navetta 68 par une splendide baie vitrée coulissante, au même niveau que la terrasse du cockpit pour une belle aisance de passage. Devant vous, se dresse une pièce de vie immense harmonisé en grands 3 espaces: une superbe cuisine avec comptoir, une table de repas et ses assises pour chaque convives et un salon hyper confortable. Toute en profondeur apparaît le poste de pilotage à l'avant pouvant être dissimulé par une très jolie fermeture électrique; de quoi garantir une certaine intimité.

La descente aux cabines se décline en deux niveaux. La suite Propriétaire est à un seuil intermédiaire entre le Salon et les cabines du pont inférieur. Cet entre deux, permet une totale intimité pour cette cabine séduisante de part son agencement, ses volumes et sa luminosité. La salle de bain privative sur l'avant offre une parfaite symbiose et vous apportera un confort de taille sans aucun doute.

L'escalier principal continue de descendre vers le pont inférieur qui présente 3 belles cabines, deux salles de bain et une pièce indépendante dédié au rangement. La cabine VIP est au bout du couloir, le lit est centré afin de bénéficier d'un accès facile à la salle de bain privative mais aussi à sa coiffeuse parfaitement ajoutée dans l'aménagement de la pièce. Ce pont inférieur vous invite également à découvrir une autre cabine double avec accès direct sur une autre salle de bain, celle-ci partagée avec la cabine Twin.
