OILY WOODS e.g. Teak Ensure that the surface is thoroughly degreased. Thinner No.1 is recommended. Sand smooth with 80-180 and then 280 grade paper.

Re: Difference between international pre-kote and yacht primer. Most one-part marine primers, regardless of brand, are pretty much the same. Two-part primers are usually epoxy-based and far more protective and durable, but will not offer the same level of protection that a good first soak in penetrating epoxy will give.
