Jyc bartender is to flirty with patrons. Tells to much internal information. And always in the phone. And chews gum like crazy. Needs to do her work and mind her own business. Don't join if you don't want that.

We ordered take out last night, it was SO good and reasonably priced. Open to all for take out - not just members!

Looking for a place to chill, swim, and get an ice tea on a hot day? Come to the JYC! It had the perfect location by the marina and right across the road from mastros which makes it perfect for kids so they can come in and out from around town!! The food is great though it comes a little slow but that's because it's busy because it's good! very safe environment. Very clean, there is scent spray in the bathroom and cough drops so you feel clean. lots to do, bar tenders are friendly you can talk with them, there is a dance floor, TVs, and a pool! It is loud when kids are there so if you want a quiet place to stay go while they are in school. overall, the JYC is great!!

This place is a joke! very unorganized, poor management, and a handful of the board is just plain ridiculous. I have never been to a place where I've felt this unwelcome. Typically, any establishment would be glad to have a paying customer why should this one be any different? Very unpleased.

Been a member for 19 years. Ups and downs but improving. Good food and great swimming pool.

Great place to go and have a few drinks and a nice quiet dinner. In the summer this place is busy. They have a large clean pool and a Tiki Bar with very reasonable prices. The Tiki bar is where you can watch all the Tiger games, have a few drinks and dinner. The also have themed events poolside durring the summer with local bands. Also durring the summer they have, Open to the public weekends which gives you a chance to use the pool and have a drink and check out the Tigers. For a low fee you can have a great time and meet alot of nice people.

“The NAVIX50 embodies our philosophy of creating vessels that excel in any environment,” Leapher CEO Yiannis Andriotis said in a statement. “From the Drake Passage to the coast of St. Tropez, this yacht redefines what’s possible in the sub-500GT category.”

The spacious interior includes six generous cabins, with the option for a seventh cabin or expanded skylounge. The guest cabin on the main deck can also be turned into a gym, wellness area, or an expanded owner’s suite. All guest cabins are equipped with king-size beds, while the owner’s suite is fitted with a plush super king-size bed. The yacht is also home to six crew cabins that can sleep up to 11.

The exterior decks are replete with alfresco dining areas, lounges, and sunbeds. The aft deck is arguably the standout, with two folding terraces, a large, 18-foot pool, a sprawling sunbathing area, a swim platform, and not one but two wet bars. At the opposite end, the foredeck doubles as a garage for two tenders.

“It [the NAVIX50] offers unparalleled versatility and luxury while maintaining an attractive value proposition for seasoned owners,” added Andriotis.

Leapher operates on a site formerly owned by cruise ship producer De Hoop that closed at the height of the pandemic. The yard is set to deliver the first NAVIX60 later this month. Christened Horizon, the 198-foot explorer will be on display at the Monaco Yacht Show from September 25 to 28.

Other than that one overgrown spot, the club, which has 115 slips, a two-story clubhouse, a swimming pool and tennis courts that are also striped for pickleball, is beautifully maintained and well-loved by its members.

For years, this forgotten spot, commonly referred to as “the corner” by members, was overlooked even as the club developed the nearby recreation area between the shoreline and the clubhouse.

It wasn’t until members Clive Endriss, the club’s landscape chair, and Denny Amundsen, both of San Rafael, were discussing the renovation of the nearby barbecue and outdoor bar a couple of years ago that Amundsen couldn’t ignore the corner any longer and came up with what Endriss called “a perfect idea.”

Amundsen suggested a firepit and seating area so members could drift out from the dining room or bar or just across the lawn after a bocce ball game and relax and chat.

Endriss was inspired by the idea and got to work right away, sketching out a design that included a custom-built, gas-fueled firepit, a surrounding seating area and new hardscaping and landscaping.

“This project was not easy,” Endriss says. “It took many hours of design and seven months of construction.”

It was completed last month.

Endriss and his team of mostly members removed 30 yards of dirt to get to subgrade, relocated a small but heavy and beautiful palm tree, brought in base rock, poured concrete and trenched in water, power and gas.

They added irrigation, lighting, 20 yards of topsoil and laid out and compacted the pathways with decomposed gravel before they planted roses and rolled out the new sod lawn.

“The decomposed granite pathways were very important,” Endriss says.

They create a natural flow for people, linking the rose garden, barbecue area and clubhouse, and encourage people to linger outdoors, enjoy the view and spend time together.

He deliberately “flared” the access points from the pathway to the garden to silently invite members into the area, who are also drawn in by the welcoming circle of generously sized Polywood Modern Adirondack chairs around the firepit.

Selected by house director Mark Miner, the chairs are made of weather-resistant, recycled materials in a color with marine-grade hardware.

There’s also an intimate setting of two chairs tucked nearby under trees for more private conversations.

When it came to the four planting beds that embrace the firepit area, Endriss had envisioned colorful, salt- and wind-tolerant plant material, says board member Frances Larose.

However, when he learned that the roses in the old rose garden on the shadier side of the clubhouse were struggling, he suggested moving them into the new flower beds.

The club turned to member, rosarian and UC Davis Master Gardener Ellie Longanecker for help with selecting additional roses.

Among the 65 roses in the rose garden, she chose the following varieties, especially for their disease resistance:

• Julia Child — an award-winning fragrant yellow floribunda

• Moonstone — a white hybrid tea rose trimmed in light pink

• Peace — a hybrid tea rose that came from France in World War II

• Elle — a pink hybrid tea rose that is named for Elle magazine

• Burgundy iceberg — a purple-red floribunda with a cream underside that Longanecker says is “very popular in public gardens.”

• Iceberg — a white floribunda that Longanecker says is “very popular and photographs great.”

The new garden area is perfect for weddings and holiday parties.

Collectively, they offer exuberant color, delightful fragrance and a sense of movement with the breezes off the water.

“The rose garden is certainly the star of the show,” Larose says.

The beautiful transformation of this former “corner” has now been named Point Don Lesley by the club.

It honors Don Lesley, the club’s beloved member, enthusiastic supporter for nearly 50 years and its 1985 staff commodore. He died in 2022.

According to Larose, Lesley, who loved to cruise his Grand Banks classic boat, was “always ready to help with projects, often wearing his tool belt and always helping with staff commodore functions like the Commodores Crab Feed.”

“He taught lots of us to be better Yacht Club members in our dress and our manner of upholding of traditions and, most of all, how to treat other members with respect and helpfulness,” Larose says.

Point Don Lesley is “an amazingly beautiful location,” Larose says. “It is perfect for special events, holiday events and I think it would be lovely for a wedding.”

And it’s an ideal tribute to its namesake.

The Yacht Club has captured the essence of summer with new lunch, dinner and drinks menus that showcase the best flavors of the season.

The new menus feature a variety of soups, appetizers, salads, sandwiches and entrees, including gluten-free and vegan items. They include new offerings as well as fan favorites such as fish and chips, jumbo soft pretzel with crab dip, the Cowboy burger, Crab Cobb salad and the Yacht Club Club sandwich.

New menu items include:

Fried Calamari - Flash-fried with yellow peppers, parmesan cheese and garlic aioli

Buffalo Brussels - Flash-fried with red onion, blue cheese crumbles, and tossed in a house-made Buffalo sauce

Crispy Pork Belly - Sweet and spicy crispy pork belly over a pineapple and broccoli slaw

Mussels - French-style in a garlic, shallot and Dijon white wine broth with parsley and baguettes

Salad Sampler - House-made tuna salad, shrimp salad and chicken salad served with celery and crackers

We had lunch here today (Tuesday) at 12:30pm. I believe we were the only customers in the building when we arrived. We started ... with the Frozen Strawberry Margarita and a Moscow Mule. The drinks were very tasty, except the 2nd round of drinks. As picturedin the review, they served the 2nd Moscow Mule in a rusty / tarnished cup. It smelled of rusty copper and had a metallic taste.For an appetizer we had the Guacamole with chips. It was definitely lacking seasoning and flavor. For entrees we ordered theMaine Lobster Roll, Snapper Tacos, Coleslaw and Sea Salt Fries. They were out of the brioche bun, so they put the Lobster Rollon a burger bun. The Lobster Roll was also lacking flavor and the Snapper Tacos were just sitting in grease. Today was our 4thtime trying “The Yacht Club” and the 4th time we left disappointed. The restaurant is beautiful and has potential, but seemsthey need a new chef and management team. Great location with good amount of parking. My wife and I had a good time. Food was well made. Found a bit odd that the server ... complained that it is “required” to tip at least 10% of the bill as a restaurant rule. This was despite my wife getting thewrong order. So disappointed. Worst night out ever! My first Father’s Day dinner was ruin!! Upon arrival my family and I were greeted with, ... “we are currently out of French fries, lobster, Cesar salad and steak”. We decided to stay because we saw other things onthe menu we could order. Boy were we wrong. After placing a order for crab cakes, they came back and said they ran out. We thenordered mussels and calamari, which the waitress came back and told us they ran out of those too. We decided to order a burgersince the seafood restaurant we went to apparently ran out of seafood. After ordering the burger our waitress came back and said“ I’m so sorry to have to tell you this, but we are currently out of burger buns” she then went on to say “it’s beenlike this the whole day”. By the the way, the burger was is a frozen burger they pop on the grill. The sweet potato friesthey served with the burgers. I got the old batch and my girl had fresh sweet potato fries. Who is managing this restaurant? Notonce did a manager come over to any of the tables and said anything to anyone. After awhile i started to notice the frustrationin other customers faces.
