On the heels of Macklemore’s “Marmalade” video featuring Lil Yachty , the self-proclaimed “King of the Teens” follows suit with his own visual for his latest single “Forever Young” on Friday (Aug. 4).

In the light-hearted clip, Yachty and his love interest are strolling through an amusement park in pure bliss as he tells his lovely lady, “But we could be together forever/ But we could be together forever and ever/ I wanna live life with you forever and ever.”

Macklemore Delivers His Fun-Filled Video 'Marmalade' With Lil Yachty & NFL Star Marshawn Lynch

The sunkissed, breezy track is as joyous as Yachty’s iced-out wide grin plastered on his face throughout the video. Yachty and his leading gal later join together for a sing-a-long in their carnival ride.

Lil Yachty was 12 when Jay Z released his late-career blunder “Young Forever,” which was less a soundtrack for abandon than it was trite muzak for yachts and wine spritzers. Since then, hip-hop’s curmudgeonly old guard has framed Yachty as an iconoclast for his apparent disregard of guys like Jay Z, an emcee Yachty has actually publicly revered in interviews , but whose musical relevance exists largely in another lifetime than his own. Jay, after all, wasn’t speaking to high-school crowds in 2009—but in 2017, Yachty is.

Yachty’s “Forever Young,” the Diplo -produced track culled from his messy debut , calcifies what one crowd has latched onto and another has rejected in his music: that he sounds like a happy kid. On its face, “Forever Young” might have spelled disaster, a collaboration that forces Yachty’s innocence through industry machinations to produce a summer hit. Instead of calculated, thought, it sounds smooth around the edges, and the track is one of Yachty’s most streamlined performances to date, the most obvious hit in his catalog.

Diplo’s production is an aggregate of his well-branded summeriness. The synths are pristine and upstroked; the drums tick, thump, and roll predictably; tasteful EDM effects echo and surge. Yachty slips into his own familiar, fizzy pop stance, skipping to the beat in sing-song verses and belting out a soaring earworm hook in a slight Auto-Tune. He never says much, but there’s a grinning, self-confident mushiness that he deploys to win you over while being silly. “If I break your heart/Then I’m a dumb dude,” he raps to a love interest who has a bunch of protective brothers. And when he stammers out, “Together, we forever young” on the hook, it sounds like an upbeat pinky promise.

Lil Yachty's "Forever Young" Is Low-Key An Incredible Love Song

It feels like Lil Yachty rose to fame practically overnight. With countless endorsement deals, hot collaborations, and becoming a staple in the Teen Choice Awards, I would say he's here to stay. His songs are usually upbeat and brimming with positivity, but there's one song I found very surprising. His music is amazing, but  Lil Yachty's "Forever Young" lyrics are low-key the most romantic thing I've ever heard.

That's just the chorus... there's more . The whole song is about being young and in love — a perfect song for the summer.

Like, that's super sweet and thoughtful. Even the music video is romantic AF. It features Lil Yachty out with a girl at an amusement park. They go on rides and show light PDA — some good, clean fun.

Lil Yachty is known for always being himself . From his lyrics to the products he endorses, he never tries to be anything he's not. Last year, during an interview with the New York Times , he explained how he is more than a rapper — he's his own brand.

Rappers don't have endorsements because of their images. Endorsement money is huge. And I care about my character. I don't rap about drinking or smoking, ever, because I don't do it. I don't rap about anything I don't do.

So, I guess this means Lil Yachty does get super romantic with the ladies. Ayyy. If you're now obsessed and want more, you can catch Lil Yachty opening the Teen Choice Awards with KYLE and Rita Ora on August 13 at 8 p.m. ET. I'm not sure what they have planned yet, but it already sounds amazing.

For those unfamiliar with him, Lil Yachty is a 19 year old rapper from Atlanta who stepped onto the scene only a year ago and has since become recognized for his style of mumble rap.  And yesterday he just released his debut studio album, Teenage Emotions . One track in particular caught our eye and that was ‘ Forever Young ‘ which was made in collaboration with producer and Mad Decent head honcho, Diplo .

Fans of each artist naturally had some reservations about how mumble rap and EDM could possibly blend together well. Thankfully, Lil Yachty and Diplo proved those naysayers wrong. The resulting track is a smooth blend of both their styles and has a laid-back summer trap feel. Chances are high that you’ll hear this track on the radio or remixed by other producers this summer.

Lil Yachty Drops "Forever Young" Music Video Filmed Entirely on Carnival Rides

He didn’t even look dizzy after..

After dropping the animated version earlier this month, Lil Yachty returns with yet another visual interpretation for his Diplo-produced, Teenage Emotions standout cut, “Forever Young.” In the video, you’ll find the nautical one with his Mrs. at the carnival living up to the song title as they venture off to the ferris wheel, bumper cars, the super slide and many more. The video was shot entirely on carnival rides, check it out above.

Lil Yachty celebrates old-fashioned summer fun in his new music video for “Forever Young,” which dropped Friday.

The Alex Lill-directed clip shows Yachty and a female friend (played by model India Love) acting like a couple of kids at a California carnival, driving bumper cars and go-karts, riding down a giant waterslide and playing mini golf together, all set against a backdrop of rainbow skies and tall palm trees.
