Sporting activities were better organised this year - the guys really knew what they were doing and were doing an outstanding job keeping everyone happy - thats Marc, Billy and Fraser. Great service throughout the trip. I have to mention that we were surprised by the beauty of the islands and Croatia. BIG SKY has her home port in the Whitsundays, Australia. The Great Barrier Reef, a beautiful World Heritage Site, and the Whitsundays, made up of 74 beautiful, mostly uninhabited islands, are the main attractions for superyachts.

Accommodation & Deck Areas

BIG SKY ´s interior layout can comfortably accommodate up to 11 guests overnight in 5 luxurious staterooms, including a Master Suite, three Double staterooms and one Double with an additional Pullman berth, all featuring ensuite facilities and a full entertainment system. Situated on the main deck of the yacht, BIG SKY ’s full-beam master suite has a spa-inspired bathroom with its freestanding tub. BIG SKY ’s guest accommodation is located on the lower deck that features a striking collection of art photography. On the main deck, BIG SKY ’s full-beam salon has the airy feel of a penthouse. A built-in credenza separates the lounge area from BIG SKY ´s dining area featuring a dining table with seating for 10 guests. On the upper deck, a stylish skylounge is BIG SKY ’s designated space for onboard entertaining. The skylounge opens directly onto the bridge deck to maximise outdoor living. Equipped with a widescreen TV and entertainment system the skylounge also features a retractable bar for cocktail hour. The salon leads out onto the main deck aft which is set up as a covered lounge area. Twin staircases lead down to a large swim platform which can also be transformed into an inflatable jet ski dock. The 157-foot (48m) Oceanfast luxury motor yacht BIG SKY is outfitted with an exceptional outdoor living area and a spacious interior that ensure she is ideal for entertaining on the water.

Built in 2010 and refitted in 2018, BIG SKY is in impeccable condition. In 2020, she received her 10-year Lloyds and Class Surveys. BIG SKY features Quantum zero speed stabilizers to ensure comfort while aboard. She features a shallow draft making her ideal for cruising in The Bahamas and other low-lying islands. BIG SKY has a solid charter history and offers a tested platform for future chartering if her new owner is so inclined.

BIG SKY’s 2018 refit focused on her interior spaces. Her owner commissioned Alder & Tweed Design Co. to collaborate in crafting new built-in furnishings and loose furniture for the main deck and skylounge spaces. The guest accommodations also were refinished and rearranged to create an ideal layout for guest enjoyment. The yacht also benefitted from all new soft goods.

The main salon features large aft sliding glass doors that provide ample natural light and offer impressive views. This comfortable space is perfect for pre-dinner cocktails or evening movies and relaxation. This newly minted space features modern touches and a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. Forward is a formal dining area with custom artwork. The master stateroom is found forward on this deck with a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom with a deep sculptural tub. Additional guest accommodations aboard BIG SKY are found below deck. Three queen staterooms and one full stateroom with a Pullman welcome guests. Each is outfitted with en-suite facilities.

The yacht’s skylounge features a full, custom wet bar and opens to the aft dining table that easily welcomes 12 for a meal. Paola Lenti furniture farther aft is perfect for cocktail hour or lounging during the day. This space can be rearranged to be utilized for a multitude of different functions. The main deck aft also features a cocktail area and accesses the yacht’s swim platform, which is perfect for launching the water toys or taking a dip. BIG SKY’s sundeck is a big draw, offering a Jacuzzi and large sun pads well suited for spending the day soaking up the rays. A full bar and a comfortable lounge also are found on this deck. As the sun sets, this area transforms into an alfresco cinema.

BIG SKY runs with 10 crewmembers who are accommodated in four cabins on the lower deck forward and a captain’s cabin on the bridge deck.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Australian-built super yacht BIG SKY Oceanfast 48 features five guest cabins for a maximum of ten guests. The master suite is on the main deck. It boasts a king bed, dressing area, and en-suite bathroom. Additionally, four additional double cabins are on the lower deck.  One of the double cabins is a convertible.  Further, from a twin cabin to a gym/media room.

The 400-foot-long Kismet embarks on her maiden voyage in the Med

When it comes to exclusive enclaves, it’s pretty hard to compete with Monaco. The world’s elite flock to the tiny principality on the French Rivera for its sunny weather, sophisticated hotels and casinos, spectacular shopping and other financial reasons. They love to drive their fast cars down the famous roads leading into the city, and they love the speed and power of the legendary Monaco Grand Prix, too.

But as for the absolute pinnacle of luxury, it doesn’t get much better than owning a superyacht. And for the select few who happen to be shopping for a superyacht, there’s one place to see nearly all of the best, and biggest, and most technologically advanced yachts that money can buy (in addition to the tenders, and limousines, and private submarines, and luxury cars that go along with a superyacht) in one place: The Monaco Yacht Show , which starts next week.

Renaissance is massive

During the show, the docks of Monaco’s famous port are always filled with numerous yachts longer than 250 feet. But this year, the largest superyacht in the show is 400 feet long! And lots of superyachts in the 300-foot-long range will be there, too.

So, if you are lucky enough to be in Monaco later this month, I’ll see you there. But if you not, here’s a sneak peek at the five largest yachts that will be on display.

Kismet underway

What can I say about the 400-foot-long Kismet (which was built by Lürssen , features an exterior design by Nuvolari Lenard and an interior design by Reymond Langton Design and is available for charter with Cecil Wright ) that can help you understand just how big a 400-foot-long superyacht is? How about, since it measures 40 feet longer than an American football field (including the end zones), it’s safe to say that Kismet would only just barely fit inside the Jacksonville Jaguars EverBank Stadium. And that’s only if it could somehow be lowered from the top with a crane!

But since these photos and that explanation can’t really convey just how big Shaid Kahn ’s (the owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars) new 400-foot-long superyacht is...The only way you’ll really be able to understand just how big the Jacksonville Jaguars owner’s new yacht is to see it for yourself in Monaco next week. It’s going to be largest yacht at the show and has raised the bar on what’s possible when it comes to designing, building, owning and chartering the largest yachts in the world.

And since Kismet has already spent her first season in the Mediterranean and is available for charter through Cecil Wright (instead of being hidden away for a private owner like many yachts in this size range are), you, too, could experience what it’s like to live the superyacht life aboard one of the largest and most opulent vessels in the world.

So, if you looking for a charter yacht that costs roughly $3 million per week, the Monaco Yacht Show will be the place where you can see just how opulent Kismet (and theses other superyachts too) for yourself.

‘Renaissance’

The Bannenberg & Rowell-designed Renaissance that can accommodate 36 guests in 16 cabins is unlike ... [+] most other superyachts that are available to charter

The 367-foot-long, 7,200-gross ton, Bannenberg & Rowell -designed Renaissance is um, a “really big superyacht.” But what intrigues me the most is that unlike most superyachts that can only accommodate 12 guests per charter, Renaissance has been designed to swaddle 36 guests in superyacht luxury.

As you’d imagine, this yacht has it all. Open-air dining on five decks and a dining room with 18-foot-tall ceilings on the main deck. A sushi bar. A pizza oven by the huge pool. And of course, the requisite DJ stations when it’s time to party. There’s also a massive cinema that has seating 19 guests on lower deck—the perfect place to just Netflix-n-chill.

The all-new exterior lines of Oceanco H3

I’ve seen lots of superyacht designs come to life thanks to the hard work, dedication, perseverance and love that the large fraternity of superyacht designers, builders, artists and countless others pour into every spectacular new yacht that gets launched.

The rebuilt Oceanco H3 got a "rockstar" relaunch.

But I must admit, after seeing the 344-foot-long Oceanco -built (and rebuilt) H3 (first launched in 2000) emerge after an intensive 3-year-rebuild, I’m at a loss for words. I’m in awe, actually. Because after spending time at Oceanco with the project team and the owner's representative , I understand why this project is way more than just a refit.

It’s been transformed into a brand-new yacht with every modern comfort, but also retains its…soul.

The sustainability impact of this project is also pretty awe-inspiring to me, too. According to Oceanco’s team of engineers, simply using an existing hull instead of building an brand-new one resulted in a 50% reduction of carbon emissions for the build. And since H3 has been repowered with smaller yet much more efficient engines (and her top speed has been reduced slightly), the yacht burns much less fuel than she previously did as well. Delivery time was reduced by 25% as well, and hopefully we see more projects take this approach in the future.

The video wall in the welcome area of the Ocean co H3 is innovative as well as attention grabbing.

The 255-foot-long Amels full-custom yacht ENERGY was created by exterior designer Espen Øino and interior designer Francois Zuretti to provide unapparelled luxury and access to the water.

The top deck’s helipad forward is a versatile space outside heliops—sun lounge, al fresco yoga studio with wraparound ocean views, a space for elevated entertainment served by the statement bar...assorted lounging areas and dayhead inside. The bridge deck music lounge is designed for acoustic excellence. There is a Steinway baby grand piano and marble-topped bar. The whole road is about 15 km and you can take dozens of similar photos on it. Thanks to the successful operation of drones, Russians are sitting in tree lines and  forests with a minimum of ammunition, food and water. There were cases when we destroyed a moped with which Russians tried to bring a pack of 6 bottles of water to the position.”

One dead and several injured after Moscow region struck in large-scale drone attack by Ukraine

At least one person has died and three others have been injured after Ukraine launched a major drone attack targeting several regions across Russia.

Moscow's regional governor Andrei Vorobyov confirmed several buildings have been damaged and there has been at least one fatality.

"A woman was killed and three more people sustained injuries. Five residential buildings near one of those damaged have been evacuated as emergency services were handling drone debris," Mr Vorobyov said.

If the figures are confirmed, it would be one of the biggest Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian soil in the two-and-a-half-year war.

In the town of Ramenskoye, around 31 miles (50km) southeast of the capital, drones hit high-rise apartment blocks and started fires.

The attack forced the temporary closure of three airports just outside Moscow - Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Zhukovsky. A total of 48 flights were diverted, according to Russia's civil aviation authority Rosaviatsia.

In Moscow, drone debris fell on a house on the outskirts of the city, but no one was hurt, mayor Sergei Sobyanin said.

He counted over a dozen drones heading towards Moscow, which were shot down as they approached the city.

Russia's defence ministry claims to have "intercepted and destroyed" 144 Ukrainian drones over nine Russian regions.

About half of them were shot down over the Bryansk region, which borders Ukraine, but no damage or casualties have been reported there.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said: "There is no way that night time strikes on residential neighbourhoods can be associated with military action.

"The Kyiv regime continues to demonstrate its nature. They are our enemies and we must continue the special military operation to protect ourselves from such actions," he said.

Russia has also hit Ukraine this month with some of its heaviest and deadliest attacks since the start of the war.

As Russia advances in eastern Ukraine, Kyiv has taken the war to Russia with a cross-border attack in Russia's western Kursk region , and by carrying out increasingly large drone attacks deep into Russian territory.

There was no immediate comment from Ukraine about Tuesday's attacks, which follow others launched in early September mainly targeting Russia's energy and power facilities.

Meanwhile, the United States and Britain have formally accused Iran of supplying short-range ballistic missiles to Russia, to use in the war in Ukraine.
