This Austrailian Built 1997 Hobie Magic 25 is in wonderful condition and an absloute speed demon! It has a fiberglass hull, Carbon Fiber Mast, Boom, and Sprit, aluminum keel with a led bulb for ballast in an 1,800 lbs package. Aug 5, 2004. #5. I have the Magic 25 with the wings. We cut down the bulb weight by 70kgs, added 30% to sail area and increased rudder size by about 15%. Nosediving never an issue. Steering is fine even with full load under kite. Doesn't cavitate like it used to. Plenty of speed but my rating sucks with the wings. Had long arguments with IRC/SBR.
