The Lagoon Seventy 7 luxury catamaran MARIAH PRINCESS III offers luxury charter with captain and chef for 8 guests, for charter in the Caribbean from Tortola.
Lagoon’s flagship, the Seventy 7 sailing catamaran, is also available for charter in the British Virgin Islands. Aboard the MARIAH PRINCESS III , Captain Kevin and his excellent crew will be your hosts. This luxury catamaran was awarded Best Yacht of the Show at the BVI Charter Show.
I had the pleasure of enjoying a 6 course dinner on board, it is incredible what Nicole conjures up, a delight in taste, decorated with homemade chocolate corals and a feast for the eyes. Nicole really knows how to spoil her guests with culinary delights. But the rest of the crew is also impressive, making a vacation on this luxurious sailing catamaran an unforgettable experience for any family or friends.
The owner’s suite on the Lagoon Seventy 7 is not only spacious, but also has a fold-out balcony. Enjoy a swim before breakfast right from your private terrace. The bathroom is comfortable with double sinks and a large shower, and there is a walk-in closet, sofa and table. The guest cabins, two of which can be booked with a double bed and the third with a choice of two single beds or a double bed, are also spacious and have their own bathroom with shower.
The galley on this model is located at the bottom of the hull, giving guests in the saloon maximum privacy. There is a coffee bar, a large sofa and a dining table to seat all guests comfortably.
The saloon leads to the foredeck where two comfortable sofas invite you to relax. A sun awning can be extended here. The foredeck area is ideal for yoga, as the chef and stewardess are both yoga instructors.
There is also a large dining table and several sofas on the aft deck. The stairs to the flybridge are comfortable and safe for children. There is a hot tub on the flybridge framed by two large sunbeds on either side. An additional dining table and bar make the flybridge the central area while sailing. The Lagoon Seventy 7 MARIAH PRINCESS III is a luxurious yacht for water sports enthusiasts. The list of water sports equipment includes an e-foil board, 8 sea scooters and full diving equipment for 8 people. The hydraulic swim platform makes it easy to get in the water.
The yacht has WiFi via Starlink. There are 110V and 220V outlets and USB ports on board.
The luxury catamaran MARIAH PRINCESS III can be chartered from Tortola to the British Virgin Islands such as Virgin Gorda, Anegada or Jost van Dyke. Together with the captain we plan your vacation according to your wishes and interests.

Charter A Yacht With A Jacuzzi Spa
Chartering a yacht with a Jacuzzi spa can offer the ultimate experience on the water, even to the most discerning charterers. Feeling the water jets massage your muscles while overlooking the bow of the yacht and the ocean beyond is the ideal full-body and mind therapy. Getting lost in the warmth of the water and leaving stress behind you can be one of the most cathartic experiences on a yacht.

Sailing Yachts
Sailing yachts commonly feature Jacuzzi’s, either on deck or below, where the tender garage doubles as the hot tub. Deck space can be limiting for such a luxury aboard a sailing yacht, but the yacht designers of today are creative, and have found ways to make it work. Lounging in the warm bubbly water of a sailing yacht with a Jacuzzi, with the wind whispering on your face is an invigorating experience.
Mega Yachts & Superyachts
With more deck space than sailing yachts, larger mega yachts often feature Jacuzzi’s that are raised on deck to offer 360-views of the ocean. Some mega yacht designers are crafty with their work, and can combine a Jacuzzi and bar on deck. This makes it more of a social gathering spot than just a place to unwind; this kind of set-up will likely be the main area where guests relax and socialize.
Because of their sheer size, gigayachts can have up to 6 decks, offering a lot more space to work with. Depending on personal choice, a Jacuzzi here may accommodate up to 12 guests, allowing the entire charter party to socialize together. These oversized spa tubs may also double as a pool. A yacht with a pool may seem extravagant , but then again, we are talking about yachts well over 300’ (91m). Some gigayachts feature a lap pool, where users can adjust resistance on an artificial current, resulting in a rigorous workout.
Beyond The Deck
Yachts offer endless luxuries and unimaginable experiences. In addition to a yacht with a Jacuzzi, some of the most popular yachts today might feature a Triton submarine , with which you can dive as far as a mile underwater and watch the fish glow from the comfort of your seat. What is your idea of the ultimate yacht amenity?

Luxury Aboard Caribbean Sailing Catamarans
Caribbean sailing catamarans combine the best features of a land-based luxury resort vacation with flexibility and privacy.
Why the Caribbean?
Why is the Caribbean a good destination for a catamaran character? Besides the idyllic warm weather, there are countless beaches, lively marinas, secluded coves and anchorages, and activities.
Destinations in the Caribbean include:
- Antigua & Barbuda . Today, Antigua is a famous yachting destination, one of the Caribbean’s original and preeminent luxury yacht charter spots. Sheltered harbors, gorgeous blue seas, and fantastic trade winds continue to bring sailors and holiday-makers back year after year.
- Anguilla . Anguilla is a picturesque Caribbean island known for its stunning white-sand beaches and vibrant coral reefs. This welcoming island makes you immediately feel at home.
- St. Vincent and the Grenadines . A picturesque archipelago of 33 islands, including Grenada, the Grenadines, and St. Vincent.
- Puerto Rico & The Spanish Virgin Islands . Off the beaten path from more popular island groups, the Spanish Virgin Islands mix American convenience with Spanish Caribbean flair.
- St. Barths . St. Barthélmey or St. Barths has the most elite amenities and top-notch activities hard to come by anywhere else.
- St. Martin & St. Maarten . St. Martin is a unique Caribbean island divided between two nations. Its northern half belongs to France, and its southern half to the Netherlands. You’ll enjoy a rich blend of European and Caribbean cultures.
Why a Caribbean Sailing Catamaran?
If you have never considered chartering a private luxury catamaran in the Caribbean, here are a few reasons why you should. Take in the sights, sounds, smells, and tastes of the islands as you sail across oceans of crystal-clear turquoise waters. Savor fresh local cuisine, watch the sunset after a perfect day, and relax comfortably aboard a spacious catamaran.
Chartering a crewed sailing catamaran in the Caribbean has many benefits. First, these yachts are more economical compared to similar-sized size motor-yachts. Next, catamarans have nearly equally-sized cabins with queen beds, ensuite bathrooms, and showers.
Finally, some sailing catamarans have an on-deck jacuzzi, and many have more than two crew members. There are usually the captain, a chef, and a sailor/steward or stewardess.
Activities to Enjoy on a Caribbean Sailing Catamaran
Sailing on a Caribbean catamaran offers a wide range of activities to enjoy, including:
- Snorkeling: Don your mask and snorkel to immerse yourself in the underwater world. Explore vibrant coral reefs teeming with tropical fish and other marine life.
- Swimming: Whether it’s a quick dip off the boat or a leisurely swim, swimming in the Caribbean’s inviting waters is enjoyable.
- Fishing: Try your hand at fishing in the Caribbean’s abundant waters. Catch local species like mahi-mahi, snapper, or even marlin, and perhaps enjoy your fresh catch for dinner.
- Water Sports: Many catamarans offer water sports equipment like kayaks, paddleboards, and sometimes even scuba diving gear. You can explore hidden coves, paddle along the coast, or delve into the depths for an underwater adventure.
- Dining: You can indulge in gourmet meals prepared by skilled chefs on your catamaran. Enjoy fresh seafood and Caribbean-inspired cuisine in an intimate and scenic setting.
- Wildlife Watching: Keep an eye out for dolphins, sea turtles, and other marine creatures. You may even spot whales during migration seasons.
- Yoga and Wellness: Some catamarans offer yoga classes on deck. Find inner peace while surrounded by the serene beauty of the Caribbean. Additionally, you might have access to spa treatments for added relaxation.
- Diving Adventures: If you’re a certified diver, take advantage of diving excursions to explore underwater caves, coral gardens, and shipwrecks.
So if you would like a slower pace, good food, drinks, and a tremendous Caribbean experience, one of our Caribbean-crewed catamaran charters is an excellent option.

The Ultimate Guide to Choosing Between a Sailboat or Catamaran for Your Sailing Adventures
C hoosing between a sailboat and a catamaran for your sailing adventures is a significant decision that depends on various factors, including your sailing preferences, experience level, budget, and intended use. Here's an ultimate guide to help you make an informed decision:
1. Sailing Experience:
- Sailboats: Typically require more skill and experience to handle, especially in adverse weather conditions. Ideal for sailors who enjoy the traditional feel of sailing and are willing to invest time in learning and mastering the art.
- Catamarans: Easier to handle, making them suitable for beginners. The dual-hull design provides stability, reducing the learning curve for those new to sailing.
2. Space and Comfort:
- Sailboats: Generally have a narrower beam and less living space. However, some sailboats may offer comfortable cabins and amenities.
- Catamarans: Wider beam creates more living space. Catamarans often have multiple cabins, spacious saloons, and expansive deck areas, providing a more comfortable living experience.
3. Stability:
- Sailboats: Monohulls can heel (lean) while sailing, which some sailors enjoy for the thrill but can be discomforting for others.
- Catamarans: Greater stability due to the dual hulls, providing a more level sailing experience. Reduced heeling makes catamarans suitable for those prone to seasickness.
4. Performance:
- Sailboats: Known for their upwind performance and ability to sail close to the wind. Some sailors appreciate the challenge of optimizing sail trim for efficiency.
- Catamarans: Faster on a reach and downwind due to their wide beam. However, they may not point as high into the wind as monohulls.
- Sailboats: Typically have a deeper draft, limiting access to shallow anchorages and requiring deeper marina berths.
- Catamarans: Shallow draft allows access to shallower waters and secluded anchorages, providing more flexibility in cruising destinations.
- Sailboats: Generally more affordable upfront, with a wide range of options available to fit different budgets.
- Catamarans: Often more expensive upfront due to their size and design. However, maintenance costs may be comparable or even lower in some cases.
7. Mooring and Docking:
- Sailboats: Easier to find slips and moorings in marinas designed for monohulls.
- Catamarans: Require wider slips and may have limited availability in certain marinas, especially in crowded anchorages.
8. Intended Use:
- Sailboats: Ideal for traditional sailors who enjoy the art of sailing, racing enthusiasts, or those on a tighter budget.
- Catamarans: Suited for those prioritizing comfort, stability, and spacious living areas, especially for long-term cruising and chartering.
9. Resale Value:
- Sailboats: Generally have a more established resale market, with a wider range of buyers.
- Catamarans: Growing in popularity, and well-maintained catamarans often retain their value.
10. Personal Preference:
- Consider your personal preferences, the type of sailing you plan to do, and the kind of lifestyle you want aboard your vessel.
In conclusion, both sailboats and catamarans have their advantages and disadvantages. Your decision should be based on your individual preferences, experience level, budget, and intended use. If possible, charter both types of vessels to experience firsthand how they handle and to help make a more informed decision based on your own preferences and needs.

Sunrise Yachts, a luxury yacht building company which is based in Turkey, has been made a main sponsor of next year’s 2011 Moscow International Boat Show (MIBS). The four-day Russian yacht show event is currently scheduled to run from April 14-17 at the Moscow’s Crocus exhibition centre.
moscow boat show
MIBS is organised by the ITE Group and it is one of Russia’s leading boat shows and is an internationally recognised superyacht event. The show covering everything from small parts and accessories to large superyacht with over 9,000 people and 178 exhibitors attended the last year show.
The Paolo Scanu-designed Sunrise 45 yacht is an ocean-going cruising yacht that was released in 2009 to much acclaim at this was the group’s first-ever model.
Sunrise Yachts was founded in 2007 by the German entrepreneur Herbert P Baum along with the French-British yacht builder Guillaume Roché. The luxury yacht group is based in Antalya, Turkey and utilises a 10,000sq m shipyard facility. Sunrise has two sheds measuring 100m (328ft) x 16m (53ft), as well as a 70m (230ft) x 16m (53ft) fully acclimatized paint shed that can accommodate new-build and refit projects up to 65m (213ft) in length and 1,200 tonnes displacement.

Along each side of the yacht-building facility, space is available for long-term sub-contractors with the latest equipment and logistics capabilities, along with air-conditioned storage, ventilation and extraction plants. The shipyard is organized as an “assembler,” based loosely on the car industry’s model, with a small, yet powerful project management team charged with running all the in-house long-term sub-contractors.
