Great place to have a function! Ask for Cyndal. She's the best! Location is great. Nice view of the ocean.
Attended a surprise 60th birthday celebration recently and it was such an awesome venue, the views of the harbor, the boats and airplanes were a sight to see! I would definitely recommend the OH Yacht Club to anyone looking told a function of any kind!! Cyndal was the best and really accommodating and has great ideas on other vendors to help design the perfect event for you!!

Great setting for any event. Great views of Boston and Logan Airport. Plenty of water views and sunsets. Great food and friendly staff.
I am not quite sure how to rate this. The yacht club function hall is beautiful and everything finally went off beautifully. However, customer service is less than zero. Leading up to the event was so unnecessarily stressful and it caused me a great deal of anxiety. The woman, Janelle, who is in charge of the function hall is so uncommunicative that it's awful. No matter what event we host, we are going to have questions. I called her one day just to find out how many persons each table will fit. Never got back to me. I called and sent emails for almost 4 days. I finally had to reach out to someone higher up who let me come over and see the room and setup a second time. I only counted 72 chairs. I explained that I have 100 people coming. He said he thought there were more, he'd have to check with Janelle. She called me a couple of days later and told me that she'd have to check. They were trying to get new chairs, but because of shortages in every industry due to COVID, they were having a problem. She'd get back to me - never did. This caused me so much anxiety. I was truly freaking out saying, OMG what if she doesn't get them. I actually went to BJs and bought 30 chairs, just in case. Thousands was invested so far and I didn't want my guests to be leaving because they had no where to sit. Two days before the event I emailed her to get the final status. I told her I needed 100 chairs and asked if they were going to be available. Her response was: I'll let the cleaning people know. What is that, do you have the chairs or not. So my anxiety lasted until the moment I walked in to setup for the party and saw them arranged around the tables. How unnecessary. I am so angry about her unprofessionalism. Too bad that I had a couple of questions. This woman, Janelle is definitely the wrong person for this position. If you don't want to deal with the public then don't put yourself in a position that you will need to. It's unfortunate, because I have had many events at the Yacht Club during my lifetime and couldn't have been happier. A happy moment in time turned into an absolute nightmare, and due to nothing more than her attitude. TERRIBLE. Future renters, BEWARE! Lucille S.
Lovely facility. Beautiful views. I attended a birthday party last week (12/3/2016), and the function hall was large enough, but not too large. The lady who tended bar was very pleasant and professional. If *I* were planning a function, the Orient Heights Yacht Club would be in my top 5 list.
Lovely facility. Beautiful view! However, don't work with a woman named Cindy. She does the reservations. I booked far in advance with her. She read back the booking and said she would mail me the contract . I waited three months for that contract, calling every other day, only to get her voice mail. She only once called me back and left me a message "you need not call me so often, I have you booked for that date, Oct. 15th. at 1:00". Finally a week before the shower, I called again and she finally answered and said she mailed me 4 contracts and they all came back to her, and that she already booked that date with some one else. I said to her "if one contract comes back, why didn't you call me for the correct address, instead of mailing three more out. She yelled at me and hung up. She caused me so much stress before the baby shower. I had to find somewhere else in a hurry.
The Orient Heights Yacht Club is a great place to hold a small event. I recently attended a family (80th birthday) party there. It is a little small but right on the water with a nice view. The space was clean (including the restroom) and the staff where pleasant and did a good job. The bartender was a little preoccupied with watching a sporting event instead of serving but it was the Red Sox so who can blame him! The beers where $4. The selection was slim but got the job done.
The venue is beautiful and accommodated our event perfectly, so the venue I would give 4 stars. I have to pick one star, but would pick zero if it let me for the customer service. The person with whom you deal with in booking the hall is incredibly unprofessional, unorganized and really needs to think before speaking to people as off color comments are not something you should use in the customer service industry. So let's start with the beginning when first looking at the venue we thought it was perfect as were having a very small wedding. As we were speaking with this person she made some extremely ignorant comments about the race of people attending the wedding that made us want to make a quick exit, we however laughed it off as possibly she didn't realize what she was said was unacceptable; we unfortunately did not go with our gut and ended up booking this place (note to self always go with your gut instinct). Second time in meeting with this person to make the full payment in June also left us with zero confidence - we were crossing our fingers that when we arrived on our booking date that we wouldn't be told we didn't have it booked. This person was extremely unprofessional and unorganized. For example, I called and left a message at the number provided for the yacht club and then saw we still had her cell phone number and called that number spoke with her and set up a time to meet - we met with her the following day., she signed our receipt paid in full and we gave her a check. She still called me back three days later to answer the voice message I had left at the yacht club to advise that we could come and drop off the payment - note we had already met with her in person three days before. I called her immediately to ensure that she had the check we gave her and we were all set, lets say asking someone what date their event is more than once is not a confidence booster. On the day of wedding we were setting up and she proceeds to speak at no one in particular saying that she had a party booked at 4pm coming in, we had the hall from 12pm-4pm. Lastly, but certainly not least this person completely ruined my wedding reception - she proceeded to call the bartender and advise him that she was unsure if we had paid in full and possibly still needed to pay. So in the middle of my reception the bartender (I might add that the bartender who questioned us could do nothing with the copy of the cashed check we had so the point of him saying anything to us was apparently to piss us off I guess) tells me that Carol called and advised him that we still needed to pay. So just think about that for a minute - the happiest day of your life and this person who did not check her books or double check anything AT ALL (mind you we had paid in full two months prior to the actual day of the wedding) who was actually at the hall in the morning while we were setting up, who I saw personally - this same person who could have said anything in the morning when she was there in person before the event started if they were really that unsure or who could have called the day before if they were really really unsure chose to ruin the entire reception by calling in the middle of it and telling the bartender to bring this up. She did proceed to tell the maid of honor that she thought the bartender would ask while we were cleaning up and leaving - the maid of honor then asked if she told him to ask at the end, she said no. We had planned on buying champagne for a toast, but once this happened I refused to give this place anymore of our money. At that point I was so pissed, I just wanted pack it up and leave. If you enjoy dealing with someone who is unprofessional and says things that leave you with a bitter taste in your mouth and someone so completely unorganized that they will call in the middle of your wedding reception to question your payment then by all means book this place. Personally I would not recommend this place to a single soul and whenever anyone asks about my wedding I will make sure to tell them NEVER to come here EVER. The only thing that actually made me smile about this entire transaction was that we got our deposit back as we were leaving (it might of had something to do with the maid of honor speaking to Carol where apparently she apologized for not checking anything before questioning the payment) and did not have to call or speak to this person as I am just happy to wash my hands of this place and am just glad I never have to deal with it ever again. Neither myself or the groom ever received any kind of apology for her unprofessional behavior. I am guessing they just don't want repeat customers as we are the type of people if we receive great customer service we will tell everyone, give us bad customer service and we will tell everyone. This by far was the worst customer service received ever. I highly doubt there is anything that could top this.
