There isn’t a better way to visit Croatia and experience each of the islands than traveling on Dalmatino. The boat was stunning. The boat crew had the best service I have ever experienced. This trip will be very hard to top. We were directed to the best experiences on each island, food was absolutely delicious and beautiful at the same time. I would highly recommend this yacht and staff to anyone who has the opportunity to travel to Croatia!

I would give a six star as a vacation spot and a 100% satisfying rate. The staff was so helpful and so so nice. Food was over the top in presentation, variety and was delicious. The Captain chose just a perfect route through the islands, the right amount of village time as play time. I would do this trip every year on Dalmatino!

Trip of a lifetime! The boat is gorgeous, the food was amazing, the scenery & water were incredible and the staff-crew….what can I say?! You were friendly, fun, and took the many challenges of our group in stride (covid+,stomach viruses, etc.!) with a smile and a willingness to do what we needed to have an amzing week. (I mean…how many groups requested 5 full dinnera and 5 bowls of plain white rice? 😛 ) It was such a special week for us to spend with our adult children & our friends and it was made even better by the wonderful & attentive service we recived at every turn. From the moment I stepped on this boat I was greated with smiles & genuine care. I have never had an experience such as this where I was treated like I was special. Each and every one of you made this week memorable and I will never forget it. Matea made sure our thunderstorm of a room was always inviting and shared her last hairtie with me so I could enjoy the water. Keke made sure I always had milk with dessert before even asking and kept us all in a good mood. To the chef who gave us a personal tour of the bars so we could experience the true culture. Rocco despite us leasing hi min the beginning made sure to act professional as always. Stipe on our day to the market gave us the submarine tunnel. Last but not leats, the Captain who ensure no matter the weather there was always a plan for fun in place. Overall, I wish I couls stay with you forever and I have never had such a wonderful time. I have no words to explain the marvelous adventure we have sailed with Captain Tom. It has been the upmost pleasure to embark in this journey around the Adriatic Sea with such a wonderful crew. Ivana is super attentive and dedicated to fulfilling the needs of all my fellow travelers who have stepped aboard Captain Tom’s deck. The sights seen could never be converged in the slightest. The sea was magical. The food was amazing. Everyday was a delight to my mouth. We cannot wait to come back next year. Thank you to the entire crew.

Altair – 08.2022

Carefree and a wonderful cruise down the Adriatic Mastercharter was the best Croatian travel agency I have dealt with in the last ten years. Ivana, Mirna and Mate are devout professionals who will tender to your every need. Ask a question and you will get an answer momentarily, if one of them is busy one of the others will respond. No detail is overlooked and everything is done to your satisfaction. They stay true to their motto which says “Everything is possible for one who believes”.

I wanted to charter a gulet for a family cruise and for my particular needs they suggested the Altair which turned out to be the perfect choice. The name Altair is derived from the bright star, aka Alpha Aquilae, which shines as the brightest star in the constellation Aquila the Eagle. It describes this gullet perfectly; it is beautiful, clean and well maintained. The crew is a family run affair; Captain Dare is a capable sailor and a wonderful host. His Dad Duje is a fantastic cook and a Captain in his own right and Dare’s sister Luce (Lucy) is a wonderful hostess and a do everything gal who will attend to your every need. Also there is Lovro, a very capable sailor who makes sure that the boat is securely tied, he will help you with all the heavy lifting, will provide you with the swimming toys once you are in the water and will watch over you while you swim.

The cruise down the Jadran (Adriatic Sea) was absolutely fantastic. We were in and out of secluded coves for swimming in the crystal clear water during the day and visited famous towns like Hvar, Korčula, Polače, Ston and others in the evening. It was a perfect combination of rest, relaxation and sightseeing.

I would like to take this opportnity to thank the crew once more for making me and my family feel like we were a part of their family and for providing us with a carefree, restfull, exciting and wonderfull experience. Special thanks goes out to my new friend Duje Junior (Dare’s son) who made our trip that much more enjoyable, this is from his new friend Brankec.

Corsario – 25 June 2022

We had the Best time in Corsario, aside from the amaizing places and smooth ride, the crew was so warm, dedicated and helpfull. Stand up padlle, water motor rides, snorkeling, biking and awesome more experiences we lived in this boat. Thank to this boat and the crew we could had an inforgivable family time! Romanca – 18.06.-25.06.2022

Global Rating: 5/5 (Excellent)

We travel often and far, and we have been around the world and had amazing experiences. But our vacation on the Romanca, chartered via MasterCharter, was truly unrivaled! Airline travel these days can be beyond hectic, and our vacation seemed to get off to the wrong start when the airline lost our luggage. Ivana (Mastercharter) and Andrea (owner of the Romanca) arranged a speedboat to take a passenger to get medication that had gone missing with the bags and PERSONALLY tracked our luggage down and had it hand-delivered to the boat as we were eating breakfast under sail. Additionally, a member of our party had a bicycle accident, and Marin (Romanca’s captain) was on location in minutes with the town’s doctor and sat with us through the process of going to the hospital and getting a few stitches, then offered to buy the injured person an ice cream, (because everyone knows when you get stitches, you get an ice cream). Despite our two mishaps, all 15 of our party fell madly in love with Croatia, the Adriatic, MasterCharter, and most specifically the Romanca and its crew. The Romanca is by far the prettiest wooden gullet on the Adriatic; you cannot help but share the pride of her crew as she sails into port. You can tie her up next to the largest, newest ship in any marina, and know you are the one privileged enough to call the Romanca home. Valentina and Mario knew everyone by name on the first morning and never forgot our food or drink preferences — my latte was being made before I could sit at the Romanca’s massive table. Victor is a world class chef and a true artist who goes out of his way to please everyone. He woke up in the middle of the night to feed the three of us who waited for the doctor to finish his work on our patient, and we got a beautiful steak with rice and salad, totally unexpected and above and beyond. Ivan, the first mate, went out with several of our younger “sailors” (as per our request) when they wanted to go to a club at midnight. He watched over us and protected us like family, even at the sacrifice of his night’s sleep. And Marin navigated us through it all, recommending phenomonal wineries, restaurants, and excursions on the islands. I’m not prone to write reviews, or be loquacious, but for this trip, I must! These people are so special and amazing; they find a magical way of outshining the scenery. That said, Croatia and her islands are not to be missed, their beauty is unparalleled and the experience is unmatched. Do yourself a favor, spend a week on the Romanca… just don’t book the weeks we want, we will be back!

We wanted to come and experience Croatia but we didn’t expect to come and fall in love with your beautiful country!! 🙂 But most of all all, you all gave us such a good impression and example of how friendly, hand working, and fun Croatians can be… at least of all of you on the boat (and in the family restaurant). All of your own love of your country, and pride in all that it represents, made it easy to enter into that same love and appreciation far all that you shared with us on this amazing voyage and trip! Luka, your humble, tireless service to all of us was such an inspiration and joy to all of us! Each one of you seemed to work together so well and made for an awesome team! The magic ship Cataleya introduced us the beautiful people and country of Croatia.  Marin, Hrvoje, Karlos, Jere and Marin the younger opened their hearts to us and showed us their wonderful culture. IT IS HARD IN LIFE TO BE FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO EVER BE ABLE TO BE IN A POSITION TO BE ABLE TO VACATION ON A BOAT SUCH AS ANIMA MARIS. HOWEVER, IT IS EVEN MORE DIFFICULT TO HAVE AN EXPERIENCE THAT EXCEEDS ALL OF YOUR EXPECTATIONS.THIS TRIP WAS BEYOND WHAT WE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE. WE HOPED IT WOULD BE THIS WONDERFUL, BUT TO HAVE EACH DAY BE BETTER THAN THE DAY BEFORE HAS TRULY BEEN A DELIGHT. THE BOAT OF COURSE IS A WORK OF ART,A MIX OF MODERN YET STILL ROMANTIC. THE CABINS ARE SO SPACIOUS AND THE BATHROOMS AS WELL.NOVAK’S COOKING WAS SPECTACULAR AS WELL AS ALEXANDER. ANYTHING WE WANTED DELIVERED WHICH AS WE ALL KNOW IS NOT AN EASY THING TO DO. SONIA KEPT OUR CABINS AND LAUNDRY IMPECCABLE AND THE REST OF THE CREW WAS WITH US ON DECK TIME WE NEEDED ANYTHING AT ALL. THE LOADED THE WATER TOY INTO THE SEA EVERYDAY SO OUR KIDS COULD RIDE THE SEABOB FROM MORNING TILL NIGHT. THEY WATCHED CAREFULLY AS THEY FLIPPED OFF THE TOP DECK IN TO THE WATER. CAPTAIN MARIO ALWAYS FOUND US THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BAYS AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, PICKED THE BEST CREW. THEN WE CAME TO VICTORIA WHO ALL DAY, EVERYDAY MADE SURE WE HAD ANY DRINK OR SNACK WE WANTED. LASTLY IVAN, WITHOUT HIM, SETTING THE STANDARDS OF EXCELLENCE AND SERVICE, NOTHING WOULD HAVE COME TOGETHER. THANK YOU EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU FOR MAKING THIS UNFORGETTABLE.

I think the Steward, Ivor was a bit out of his depth as he was really a deck hand that had stood in for a Stewardess from what we learned, and whilst he tried hard, my only recommendation would be that an experienced stewardess would have added polish to the whole drinking and dining experience.

Accommodation

She can host up to 12 guests in her six impresive five-star cabins. Unlike other yachts, S/Y Corsario has two main cabins (Master & VIP) along with other two twin and two double bed cabins. There is also an additional cabin in case group has a nanny or masseuse. 

Every cabin on the yacht is equiped with WiFi, air conditioning system, SONY Smart TV with BOSE soundsystem and safe box. There is also a floor heating in Master and VIP cabin.

Exterior Spaces

Her exterior makes her perfect yacht for ultimate relaxation. With 4 separate lounge areas, each guest can find their quiet corner to indulge their sense into beauties of Croatian sea, nature and sunsets. 

On the aft main deck, there is another dining table for 12 guests along with two sunbeds for relaxation. Front main deck also has two large sunbeds where guests can enjoy sunbathing after their swim time. 

The most attractive part is on the upper deck where along with two large lounge areas there is also Finnish sauna, dayhead and jacuzzi.

With its UNESCO Heritage site the 'Old Town Dubrovnik', Dubrovnik is a must stopover on any Croatia yacht charter. This beautiful island, covered with lush green forests of Aleppo pine, cypress and oak trees welcomes its visitors with a colourful cultural heritage and interesting legends. Stroll the enchanting narrow cobbled streets of the town of Korcula, surrounded by 13th-century walls. It's sixth largest island in Croatia, at 20 miles long and between 4 and 5 miles wide on average. This island is known for it's forest the ancient Greeks called the island Black Korcula (Kerkyra melaina).

Mljet is also home to the Mljet National Park boasting two interconnecting salt-lakes of Veliko Jazero and Malo Jazero. An interesting fact about these lakes is that they were freshwater lakes up until the Christian era. Intriguing history and cultural heritage make Sibenik another destination worthwhile visiting. The archipelago of the Sibenik Riviera is made up of 242 islands, islets and reefs boasting of picturesque coves, pristine sea and tranquility. In this area you will find the Krka and Kornati national parks, and the towns of Sibenik, Vodice, Primosten, Rogoznica and the island of Murter being perhaps the most renowned to visitors. Sibenik town is located in a gorgeous bay, where the river Krka flows into the sea. Historical monuments to visit in Sibenik include Cathedral of St Jacob, St Krsevan church, St. Francis church, the city hall and the St Michael, St Ivan, Subidavac and St Nicholas fortresses.

Sukosan is a picturesque little town located in the Zlatna Luka bay, about 7km south-east of Zadar. Sukosan is known for its vineyards, olive groves and farming as well as a sought after destination among sailors thanks to its marina Dalmacija - the largest marina of the Adriatic Coast. The marina represent a meeting point between two important vacation hot spots - Sukosan and Bibinje, both renowned for their rich history and colourful traditions, as well as an important stopover for yachtsman and sailors. Interesting monuments to visit in Sukosan include the Church of Our Lady of Mercy, situated in the centre of the old village and dating back to 1650. Other historical sites include the church of St Cassian, All Saints Church, Crkva Sv. Martina, The Upper Gate, or the 15th century Archdiocesan mansion - Palac.

Trogir represents one of the oldest cities on the Adriatic coast in Croatia, with the main 'centre' of Trogir being a small island located between the hills and the coast of the island of Ciovo. The entire Trogir Riviera is made up of 20 islands, islets, small counties and little villages, making this area a lovely destination to visit aboard a luxury yacht. Its rich history was built upon the old Greek, Roman and Venetian culture, offering plenty of churches, towers, fortresses and other monuments to visit. Torgir is also on the list of UNESCO world heritages sites.

Also located on the Trogir Riviera is the small and quaint little fishing town of Vinisce. The first mention of Vinisce dates back to 1272, although it is believed that it was inhabited much earlier. There are numerous beautiful churches to visit with the church of the Blessed Virgin Mary being the most important, as well as the church of St Antun Padovanski from the 18th century. Several beautiful bays can be found around Vinisce with attractive pebble and sand beaches. Yacht charterers will find a good selection of lovely restaurants, cafes, bars as well as souvenir shops. Vinisce is a great location for surfing, swimming, sunbathing, snorkelling or simply relaxing enjoying its warm Mediterranean atmosphere.

FUN IN THE WATER

Yacht charterers travelling to Croatia will find a huge selection of beaches, from small coves with pebbles and rocks through to beautiful secluded sandy beaches that can only be approached by a boat. MOUTH-WATERING EXPERIENCES

If you are passionate about fine cuisine and wine, be prepared to indulge in a variety of Mediterranean produce and dishes while on your vacation. One of the perks of hiring a Croatia based yacht is having your 'personal' chef on board. Superyacht Chefs are accustomed to creating high-quality dishes made of the best and finest ingredients on the market, and often source fresh produce from the local growers and producers. They are highly trained individuals with years of training and experience in fine-dining restaurants or five-star hotels. Prior to embarking on your holiday, in order to create a personalised menu and stock up on all necessary ingredients, you will be asked about your meal preferences, allergies, intolerance or desires. CROATIA'S UNESCO HERITAGE SITES

Renowned for its rich culture and heritage, Croatia is home to seven sites that have been added to the UNESCO World Heritage List. First one is the Episcopal Complex of the Euphrasian Basilica in the Historic Centre of Porec, with the earliest constructions dating back to 313. The basilica features outstanding mosaics and tiled illustration. The Cathedral of St. James in Sibenik is the second site on the list and represents a cultural mix of Northern Italy, Dalmatia and Tuscany of the 15th and 16th centuries. Trogir, situated northwest of Split boasts beautiful Romanesque churches and Venetian-era Renaissance and Baroque constructions. Split's Diocletian's Palace is another UNESCO monument and a historical complex built in the 3rd and 4th centuries by Roman emperor Diocletian. Moving onto the island of Hvar, although unknown to many tourist, Stari Grad Plain is also on the UNESCO list. This is an ancient stone wall that divides the land into twenty-four plots of grapes and olives, which have been continuously used for the past 2400 years. The Old City of Dubrovnik is also popular with discerning yacht charter tourists, with its Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque churches, monasteries and palaces, as well as fabulous atmosphere, lovely cafes, bars and a vibrant nightlife. The seventh UNESCO Heritage site are the Plitvice Lakes, located inland Croatia.

NATURAL PARKS IN CROATIA

There are numerous beautiful natural parks in Croatia well worth visiting when holidaying on a Croatia superyacht charter. Located on the western coast of Istria, National Park Brijuni consists of two larger and twelve smaller islands. The islands, in addition to their astonishing natural beauty, are renowned for their important cultural heritage which goes back to the Roman and the Byzantine eras. Represented by 140 islands, islets and reefs, the Kornati archipelago draws visitors, and in particular sailing and boating enthusiasts, thanks to the distinctive shapes of reefs and crags, and the imposing high cliffs.

Mljet National Park on the island of Mljet is perhaps the most significant protected area on the Southern Dalmatian coast. Mljet island is regarded as one of the most alluring islands to visit in Croatia, with the 12th century Benedictine monastery being one of its cultural heritage attractions. Krka with its seven amazing waterfalls is another famous and popular national park in Croatia, which deserves a day-trip inland. In addition to the waterfalls, historical monuments such as the Franciscan monastery on the little island of Visovac and the Krka Orthodox monastery are also sought-after attractions for visitors. Renowned for peculiar karstic formations - Hajducki kukovi and Rozanski kukovi, the Northern Velebit National Park offers biggest selection of flora and fauna in Croatia. There is also a pothole Lukina Jama (Luka's pothole) or a lovely botanical garden to visit.

Northern Velebit National Park is a fantastic place for hiking and trekking, offering unparalleled views of the Kvarner islands from the trail. The Adriatic enjoys an average of 315 cloudless days a year, and with winds in Croatia generally around 10-20 knots, this can make chartering a sailing yacht a great option to explore the picturesque islands and secluded beaches at your leisure. The winds do tend to get stronger in the fall, so bear this in mind when booking your charter.

Gulets are traditional wooden boats originating from Turkey , but are now widely available throughout Croatia and Greece . The optimal times for yacht charters in Croatia’s sapphire-hued waters span from May till October. During this time, you can benefit from calmer seas, reliably clement weather, and warm swimming temperatures. Croatia’s peak season is July and August, so expect both higher charter fees and packed marinas in these months.

There are hundreds of harbors, marinas, and ports in Croatia, so whether stopping off in Dubrovnik or sailing to the far side of the Lastovo Archipelago National Park there are sure to be facilities or an anchorage to suit your needs.

There are 56 official marinas along the Croatian coast from Umag to Dubrovnik. Some of out top picks include;

• ACI Marina Dubrovnik – located within a short distance to Dubrovnik’s historic old town. It has 380 slips and can accommodate yachts up to 60m/196ft. For larger yachts, or yachts not requiring a slip, another popular option is to utilize the international cruise ship terminal quay, which is happy to facilitate yacht charter pick-ups and drop-offs.
• ACI Marina Korčula – ideal for a stop off at one of the many island destinations on your yacht charter, we recommend this sheltered marine, which accommodates yachts up to a maximum LOA of 40m/131ft.
• Lumbarda Marina – also on Korčula this marina has slips catering to yachts up to a max length of 25m/82ft.
• ACI Marina Vrboska – located in the celebrated islnad of Hvar, this marina offers berths for yachts up to a max length of 30m/98ft.
• Cavtat Marina – If you're struggling to find a slip in the summer, we recommend this marina, which is located to the south of Dubrovnik and enjoys good shelter from all winds. It offers 119 slips for yachts up to a max LOA of 60m/197ft.

Some of the best ports in Croatia are also located in the Istria region in northern Croatia. We recommend;

• D-Marin Dalmacija – located a few kilometers south of the ancient city of Zadar, which is the largest marina in Croatia with 1,200 berths and can accommodate yachts up to 80m LOA.
• ACI Marina Rovinj – catering for yachts with a LOA of up to 25m/82ft 
• Marina Funtana – max length 20m/65ft. 

For larger berths in the Split-Dalmatia region:

• ACI Marina Split –  located in the heart of Croatia's "jewel" this marina has recently been modernised, offering great shopping, dining, fuelling and repair services to name but a few, alongside 318 protected berths that can accommodate superyachts up to 90m LOA. 
• Marina Kastela – just 7km up the coast from Split – which can accommodate superyachts of up 150m/492ft in length, with a draft of 8m.
• D-Marin Mandalina – located in the city of Šibenik, situated between two National Parks within a protected lagoon, this marina boasts 429 slips, and has also been specially developed to accommodate yachts of up to 140m/459ft LOA.

Some important things to consider before booking your yacht;

• Yachts tend to spend more time at anchor in Croatia, so you need to consider that when choosing your perfect yacht. Ideally, find a yacht that is comfortable with ample leisure and entertainment facilities onboard. 
• Avoid heading into Dubrovnik when the big cruise ships are in town, these vessels can hold some 3,000 passengers and the town can become uncomfortably crowded.
• You should also be aware that certain zones in Croatia's waters forbid fishing or diving, or require special permissions to do so. This is something you can discuss with your yacht broker, or yacht captain when deciding on your itinerary.

There should be a wide selection of yachts to choose from, so there is sure to be something that suits both you and your budget.

Croatian Gulets, traditional wooden yachts with wide beams that offer spacious deck areas and generous accommodation, are a fantastic and cost-effective alternative to a luxury charter yacht. Gulets are available to charter for around €13,500-€15,000 per week, which usually includes food and up to 4 hours cruising per day.

Gulets are also perfect for family charters, or those who simply enjoy spending their time out on deck soaking up the beautiful surroundings of this stunning region.

Alternatively, you can reach out to your preferred yacht broker , who will be sure to help you find your perfect yacht and itinerary around the dates that suit both you and your guests.

The perfect time for yacht charters in Croatia is between May to October, with average temperatures in the mid to high 20s, calm sapphire seas and endless days of glorious sunshine.

You should note that Croatia's peak season is in July and August, so expect both higher charter fees and crowded marinas during these months.

Most charters tend to begin in the beautiful historic towns of Dubrovnik or Split before continuing on to the celebrated islands of Hvar, Mljet, Vis and Brač. Alternatively, you can begin in Montenegro in the south, but you should note there may be additional re-positioning fees to pay as most yachts are based out of Split.

Another option is to begin your yacht charter in Venice, Italy then cross the Adriatic to Croatia's breathtaking northern region before cruising down the coast to Zadar or Split.

Once you have decided on your perfect yacht, your yacht broker will then draw up the necessary contract; a legally binding agreement between you and the owner of the yacht. At this point, based on the type of contract, you will be required to pay 50% of the cost of the yacht up front, with an additional 25-30% of this base rate to cover additional expenses you and your guests are expected to incur whilst on charter.

Skradin, which got its name during the Roman era, is one of the oldest towns in Croatia, whose history can be traced back to Illyrian times.

The ancient Scardona was a Roman municipium, port and stronghold for the army, as well as an important centre of trade. After the town had been destroyed and ravaged during the Migration Period, it was rebuilt by Croats, who named it Skradin. It became the seat of a bishopric as early as the 6th century, and in late 13th century, it also became one of the seats of the House of Šubić, the princes of Bribir, who gave the town its charter and made it the capital of Croatia and Bosnia. Because of its favourable geostrategic position, fertile soil and plenty of freshwater sources, Avars, Turks and Venetians all ravaged the town at different points throughout history. Such a tumultuous history is reflected in the town’s valuable cultural and historical heritage, seen at every corner.

The city centre of Šibenik consists of 24 churches, 17 palaces, 6 monasteries, museums, galleries, portals, boutiques and many interesting specific details and stories that can be discovered while walking through the picturesque streets of Šibenik.Juraj Dalmatinac, one of the greatest European builders and artists of that time, gave his architectural stamp to the historical core. The old Šibenik we walk through today is a stone capsule in which time stood still. Most of Šibenik's treasures can be seen and experienced while walking through the ancient streets, but it is also worth visiting its museums, churches, historical collections and galleries, which hide many unexpected surprises and valuable spiritual experiences.

Šibenik sacred heritage The Church of St. Barbara is a monument of Gothic architecture. It is a single-navedchurch whose construction began around 1400. Above the main entrance stands a Gothic niche in which there is a sculpture of St. Nicholas - the work of the Italian master Bonino from Milan. The Church of St. John is a Gothic-Renaissance building built in the 15th century under the name of the Church of the Blessed Trinity. The staircase along the south side of the church is the work of the famous builder from Šibenik Ivan Pribislavić, and is decorated with bas-reliefs. At the foot of the bell tower is a Renaissance window, the work of Nicholas of Florence, and above the window is a relief with a lamb below which is a winged angel. The Church of St. Chrysogonus is the oldest preserved sacral building, and dates from the 7th century. It was built in the Romanesque style. Until World War II, it was used for worship, but during the war it was badly damaged. After restoration, it became the exhibition space of the Museum of the City of Šibenik, and today it is the gallery of St. Chrysogonus. The Church of St. Nicholas was built in the 17th century in the Baroque style, and next to several tombs as votive gifts, there are models of sailing ships. Its facade ends with a bell tower on a distaff, and the lower parts are divided by windows and a portal of simple frames. Inside, painted on the ceiling there are figures of saints and the portraits of donors in folk costumes, and inscriptions mentioning their names.

Trogir is an excellent example of urban continuity. The orthogonal street plan of this island settlement originates from the Hellenic era – consecutive rulers continued to decorate it with exceptional public and residential buildings and forts. Its beautiful roman churches are supplemented with exceptional renaissance and baroque buildings. The most significant building is the Trogir Cathedral with its west portal, a masterpiece of Radovan and the most significant example of roman and gothic art in Croatia.

Šolta Island

The island of Šolta is located in the immediate vicinity of the cities of Split and Trogir, and is a popular destination for boaters beginning or ending their charter trips in one of its coves. However, Šolta offers much more than just a convenient place to stay overnight for boaters near Split; this is an island of Illyrian legends, ancient fish ponds, medieval poetry, rich nautical tradition, and a growing centre of oenology and Mediterranean culinary specialities.

The best part of it all is the fact that you can still feel the spirit of the past while relaxing in one of the island’s coves, or touring small villages near the shore and further inland. Due to historical circumstances, inland villages were the island’s only continuously inhabited places for a long time.

Brač Island

Brač is famous for two things: its radiant white stone, used to build Diocletian’s Palace in Split (and, depending on whom you believe, the White House in Washington) and Zlatni Rat, the pebbly beach at Bol that extends languidly into the Adriatic and adorns 90% of Croatia’s tourism posters.

The northeast shores of the island of Brač look as though they were made out of slices of heavenly corners that harmoniously complement each other and yet they are currently one of the least visited areas of Dalmatia. It is a paradise for those who prefer uninhabited coves and a few secluded lagoons, as well as secure mooring spots amid compact urban centres.

Kornati National Park

In the words of Nobel laureate George Bernard Shaw: “On the last day of Creation God desired to crown His work, and thus created the Kornati islands out of tears, stars and breath.” It is hard to imagine a more beautiful description of this magnificent fleet of stone, cutting a path through the centre of the Adriatic, but the Kornati islands indeed are a special place where Nature let its imagination run wild.

The Kornati islands or the Kornati archipelago is the most indented group of islands in the Adriatic, with a total of 150 islands and islets, of which 89 islands, islets, and reefs are located within the Kornati National Park alone, and are therefore rightly called the most beautiful labyrinth of the sea. The bare landscape resembling the surface of the Moon is merely an illusion, because despite the landscape with sparse vegetation, man and nature have been living in harmony on these islands for thousands of years. The area is filled with numerous sites and landmarks that serve as monuments to life on the islands and the region of Dalmatia in general, including remains of Illyrian settlements, a Roman fish pond, Fort Tureta, a church dedicated to Our Lady of the Visitation, and the stone lace formed by the drystone walls. Visiting the Kornati islands and seeing this beauty of stone is a privilege that visitors remember for a lifetime.

Pelješac Peninsula

It is worth fighting for with both your hands for what you believe is valuable in life, that is what we were taught from an early age. This can also be related to a trip to the beautiful Pelješac, because it is a journey that never ends, from any part of our beautiful country you set off. But it is also a trip worth every minute you spend traveling. Pelješac is a reward for all the kilometres we spent traveling, both figuratively and literally.

The second largest Croatian peninsula is 65 kilometres long and only 6 kilometres wide, so many occasional travellers are taken by surprise how much content can you fit in this relatively small space.

Mljet Island National Park

The island of Mljet, the most beautiful and forested island in the Adriatic, is one of the most attractive gems in all of the Mediterranean. Secluded and pristine, the island of mysticism, olive trees, grapevines, and verdant, lush forests is ideal for exploring the rich flora and fauna and for enjoying the enchanting beauty of untouched nature.

Mljet National Park covers most of the island; several villages, two saltwater lakes – Veliko and Malo Jezero, a Benedictine monastery on the Isle of Saint Mary, and the best natural anchorage in the entire Adriatic in Polače. Numerous fortifications from the Illyrian period have been preserved – forts and graves, most notably those on the Veliki Gradac hill near Veliko Jezero, as well as Gradac od Vodica, just above Vodice spring near Babino Polje. The Roman Palace, which is second in size only to Diocletian's Palace in Split and the Arena in Pula, is one of the most valuable historical heritage sites of the island of Mljet. The Odysseus Cave on the south side of the island is another special feature of Mljet, which is believed to have saved the ancient hero after the shipwreck.

Diocletian Palace is one of the best preserved monuments of the Roman architecture in the world. The Emperor's Palace was built as a combination of a luxury villa - summer house and a Roman military camp (castrum), divided into four parts with two main streets. Southern part of the Palace was, in this scheme, intended for the Emperor's apartment and appropriate governmental and religious ceremonies, while the north part was for the Imperial guard - the military, servants, storage etc. The Palace is a rectangular building (approximately 215 x 180 meters) with four large towers at the corners, doors on each of the four sides and four small towers on the walls. The lower part of the walls has no openings, while the upper floor is open with a monumental porch on the south and halls with grand arch windows on the other three sides. Over the centuries the Palace inhabitants, and later also the citizens of Split adapted parts of the palace for their own requirements, thus the inside buildings as well as the exterior walls with the towers significantly changed the original appearance, but the outlines of the Imperial Palace are still very visible.

We suggest planning your arrival during the week. At that time, there are noticeably fewer crowds in all coastal marinas and on the roads, making your journey and stay more comfortable.

Besides luxury yachts , other vessels have also started offering charter arrangements that are not tied to Saturdays. All listed marinas in Croatia, except Marina Slano, have a gas station within the marina or at the entrance. Marina Slano is 14 nautical miles away from the nearest gas station in Dubrovnik.

ACI Marina Dubrovnik

ACI Marina Dubrovnik is one of the safest and most beautiful Adriatic coast marinas, located only 6 km from the city walls of Dubrovnik. Situated in an exclusive location, at the mouth of the Ombla River, the world’s shortest river, beneath the baroque steps of the impressive Sorkočević summer residence.

In addition to the magnificent castle, this marina has golf courses, restaurants, a pool, playgrounds, ecological courtyards, and is a true paradise for sailors. The marina’s offerings are complemented by two Tesla Only electric charging stations and one Tesla Universal charging station.

ACI Marina Dubrovnik has 380 sea berths and around a hundred dry berths, accommodating yachts up to 45 meters in length. During strong northeast winds, sailors are advised to exercise caution when entering the marina.

Marina Frapa Dubrovnik

Marina Frapa Dubrovnik is located opposite the bustling Gruž ferry port and in close proximity to the historic core of Dubrovnik. Frapa Dubrovnik is also the world’s first marina with fully covered piers adorned with LED lights that change color at night, creating a special and pleasant atmosphere.

Furthermore, this is the first Croatian marina to offer tank emptying service at every berth, which is a significant advantage for sailors, and the marina also provides free charging for Tesla vehicles. Within the marina complex, there is a service facility with a large terrace where guests can relax by the pool and loungers.

Nautical visitors have access to 220 fully equipped berths for yachts ranging from 10 to 50 meters, and there is also one berth for yachts up to 100 meters.

ACI Marina Slano

ACI Marina Slano is situated in the northeastern part of a spacious bay that has always been a safe haven for all vessels. It is surrounded by high mountain slopes, and at its heart lies the picturesque and tranquil village of Slano. It is only 37 kilometers away from Dubrovnik and is named after Veljko Barbieri, the founder of the idea of establishing the ACI marina chain.

This modern marina offers a wide range of services and facilities. Guests have access to a pool located next to the restaurant, and near the marina, in the Admiral Hotel, there is a wellness center, a hair salon, and two small grocery stores.

ACI Marina Slano also has two Tesla Only and one Tesla Universal charging station. The marina has 193 sea berths, and yachts up to 50 meters in length can be moored there.

Marina Kaštela

Marina Kaštela is one of the most visited Croatian marinas because, in addition to a wide range of services, it enjoys an exceptional geographical location. It is nestled at the bottom of the spacious Kaštela Bay, protected from wind and waves by the green slopes of the hills of Kozjak and Marjan, as well as the Čiovo peninsula.

In addition to standard services, guests can enjoy a pool during hot summer days, and a small beach with a cocktail bar is located right next to the marina. In Marina Kaštela, sailors will have everything they desire, including the option to charge electric vehicles.

The marina has 420 sea berths and 200 land berths, and along its 500-meter breakwater, it can accommodate mega-yachts, adding to its charm.

Trogir Marinas

In the area of the town of Trogir , just a few kilometers away, three attractive marinas are located – ACI Marina Trogir, Marina Trogir, and Marina Baotić. While the first two, situated on the Čiovo peninsula, offer a view of the impressive Trogir towers and walls, Marina Baotić is located on the mainland side of Trogir, only two kilometers away from this UNESCO-protected city.

ACI Marina Trogir is the oldest Trogir marina, with 174 sea berths and 35 dry berths, and right next to it is Marina Trogir with 232 sea berths and 114 dry berths. Both marinas can accommodate vessels up to 30 meters in length and provide all standard services.

Marina Baotić is the largest marina with 480 berths and over two hundred dry berths.
