VERARBEITUNG

Der Untergrund muss gründlich sauber, trocken und fettfrei sein. Altbeschichtungen müssen intakt und gut anhaftend sein. Bei Bedarf die Altbeschichtung anschleifen und den Schleifstaub sorgfältig entfernen. Nach Bedarf grundieren. GLOSS COAT kann bei trockener Witterung und Temperaturen zwischen +10°C und +30°C verarbeitet werden.

Der Lack wird mit einem Pinsel oder einer Lackschaumrolle auftragen. Auf unbehandelten Flächen als Grundierung zunächst 1-2 Schichten TOP PRIMER und als Finish 2-3 Schichten GLOSS COAT aufbringen. Als Erneuerungsanstrich empfehlen wir – abhängig von der Abnutzung – 1-2 Schichten GLOSS COAT aufzubringen. Nach Bedarf kann die Zugabe von 5-10% COATING THINNER die Verlaufseigenschaften verbessern. Das Überstreichintervall mit sich selbst beträgt mindestens 8 Stunden, maximale Wartezeit. 3 Tage (20°C). Ist das Intervall überschritten muss der Untergrund vor dem Weiterarbeiten wieder angeraut werden.

Instructions

• Pour 2-3 ounces into 5-gal bucket.
• Fill bucket with water.
• Wash surface with brush or wash mitt, allowing soap to lift dirt.
• Thoroughly rinse surface area.
• Once boat is completely clean and dry. Spray Solar Glow onto applicator pad.
• Work product in, in a cross hatch pattern and allow product to cure for 1 minute.
• Wipe all product off and allow 4 hours before getting wet.

Ceramic coatings on either a boat or car need to be cared for to continue to function properly and enjoy all the benefits of a ceramic coating.

Bubble Bath is a specially infused Si02 PH neutral soap. What that means is because its PH neutral it wont strip any coatings and leave down a thin protective layer and recharge the coating. Bubble bath provides deep cleaning power and won’t leave a film behind.

Follow your wash up with Solar Glow our ceramic spray coating. Unlike a traditional Si02 silica spray Solar Glow is an actual ceramic spray. This means not only will it refresh the hydrophobic properties of your ceramic coating on your car or boat to bead like the day it was coated but it also reinforces the coating already on the vessel or vehicle. This will prevent the base coat you already have down from wearing away prematurely.

Ceramic coatings are the highest form of protection you can apply to your boat, yacht or car.  Proven to outlast any natural waxes and synthetic sealants while achieving the highest gloss levels and reducing micro marring from washing.

Although these are superior to waxes and sealants, ceramic coatings do require maintenance and upkeep to insure they perform like the day they were applied. Overtime is neglected it can weaken and jeopardize the integrity of the coating.

Coating Erosion

Over time the coating can lose some of its beading and hydrophobic properties. Everyone loves a good beading action video and thats the first indication of a well protected car or boat. Boosting or enhancing these hydrophobic properties can help reduce water spotting, dirt contamination and buildup because it has a tough time sticking to the surface. The water beading up and not sticking to the surface is known as the self cleaning effect.

Ceramic coatings have low surface tension which means the liquids on the surface of your car or boat can run off effortlessly. But there is a catch to this over time through increased industrial fallout, dirt and grime, and surface contaminants this surface energy can become increased. What does this mean? Any unwanted items clinging to the surface can create obstacles for the water to stick to and take away from the longevity of the coating.

By applying Si02 infused products it helps to reintroduce the hydrophobic technology back to the coating instead of having to start from scratch again.

Just like before in the reduced beading effect. Over time the contaminants mentioned above can cause the surface to become bumpy and reduce the shine you once had. Through proper washing to carefully remove the contaminates you can maintain that ultra shine like when you had it first coated. Our Si02 infused products in this maintenance kit help to repair the worn away pieces of the ceramic coating on your boat or car.

My current experience with YACHTE products is unfortunately hearsay. So far, the products have been used by a professional detailer who has done the work while we have been absent from the boat. Once last fall and again in the early spring our girl has been washed with Bubble Bath and then covered with Solar Glow. This spring due to a bottom paint job, the hull will be treated along with the topsides. We’ll be rounding FL this season, we are on the Loop, and felt that the additional spring job would help the boat fight off the summer sun of FL. I can report that by all indications from those who were at the marina, passing by the boat, were very positive and garnered the detailing crew 2 new jobs. I think that speaks for itself. We will be back on the boat the week of Mar 14th and can’t wait to be back on board and to see the shine on the boat. Being an ’86 she had an oxidation issue that was held back by a full wash & wax since we bought her in ’10. The ceramic job done in ’21 on the boat from her waterline to the bridge roof (solar panels on the bridge roof prevents that from being treated) has made her look brand new and YACHTE products are what we are looking at to keep her in that shape. I was very sceptical about trying solar glow on my Tahoe at first, it’s my baby….but I bit the bullet and spent more money than I ever have before on one 16oz. bottle of vehicle care product. That being vfc said, I’m really glad I gave it a shot. It was so easy to apply and remove. No streaks and paint feels smoother and looks amazing. I’m hoping that it lasts as long as it says it will. Taking care of your Sunseeker gel coat

An important part in the general maintenance of your Sunseeker yacht is taking care of your gel coat. Sunseekers are constructed using a composite material known as glass reinforced plastic or GRP. All of the materials that are used to construct Sunseeker yachts are selected for their suitability for the marine environment and are approved by RINA and/or Lloyds register of Shipping where applicable. Gelcoat provides the finished surface of most GRP components found in the boat. The gel coats selected by Sunseeker offer a durable working surface and high levels of resistance to the effects of weathering. However, without proper care environmental damage from UV radiation, dirt, salt, rain water, and other airborne pollutants will degrade the appearance of the gel coat surface. The degradation will begin with a loss of gloss. Once the gloss has reduced, the effects of weathering will accelerate as the surface will be unable to reflect the suns radiation and become more prone to attack from dirt and pollutants. A regular cleaning and protection regime will enhance the appearance of your gel coat and provide a long lasting high gloss finish.

Prevention is better than cure. Where possible, boats should be rotated on their mooring which will help to prevent degradation occurring on one side of the boat. Following time at sea, rinse down the boat with fresh water to wash away any sea water. Be very careful with what products you use to clean the gel coat as household cleaners will accelerate weathering. Always rinse your vessel after cleaning to ensure that none of the cleaning agent is left on the surface. Do not leave water to dry in direct sunlight as minerals suspended in the water are left on the surface after evaporating. Regular waxing forms an effective barrier against environmental attack but must be reapplied periodically to be effective. We love STARKE products. they make our clean up easy and are always passing the word to other fellow captains and crew.

Been using STARKE products for a few years now. I was hesitant to switch from my waxing routine to STARKE ceramics. I'm glad I did. The boat looks amazing and cleans up way easier. No more waxing once a month.

There is no simple answer to this question. In fact, the answer is different based upon factors like how the boat is stored, used, its age and how its maintained. Once these factors are considered, you can set expectations.

A generalization that we like to use it this.

If you store your boat in dry storage where its covered and routinely washed once a month and used lightly you can see up to 3 years of performance before having to consider reapplication.

Some areas will wear differently than others. If you use your boat very often and its kept outside, then you can expect up to 12 to 18 months with proper maintenance. Flat areas that see sun much of the day will tend to go first while up and down surfaces like hull sides tend to hold up better.

Solvent based ceramic nano coatings fill in pores of the substrate on a molecular level and form a mechanical covalent bond and can mostly only be removed by abrasion. Crème based polymers stick to the the top of the substrate and do not fully penetrate and fill the pores. They can be removed with heavy cleaners and degreaser and are not resistant to chemicals like ceramic coatings. In comparison, ceramic coatings last many more soap washes than traditional polymers sealants. They also offer superior UV protections and are loaded with gloss inhibitors that give the finish a glass like appearance.

Ceramic coating is not cheap. The material does go a really long way. You don’t need much! It also last way longer than any other traditonal creme based polymer sealant when applied properly. Before applying ceramic coating, it is super important that you remove all contaminants and oxidation from the pores thru the reconditioning process. By that we mean sanding, buffing and polishing. Ceramic coating can dry to the touch in a couple of hours. You should try to prevent getting the coating wet within 12 to 24 hours. Do not use any cleaners or soap for up to 5 to 7 days after initial after application for best results.

No. The Starke ceramic coating line up does not claim to be permanent. Solvent based ceramic coatings that use poly siloxane resin-based carrier systems do mechanically bond the substrate. To remove these coatings would require taking abrasive measures to remove. However, when applied properly, the coating should be invisible to the human eye. We are not laying the coating on thick and letting it cure. If we did that bad things could happen. Like yellowing, peeling, cracking. We are only laying this coating 2 to 3 microns thick. Its simply filling in and penetrating the pores of the substrate which keep the oxidation from embedding in the pores of gelcoat or paint while also providing extreme UV protection and gloss. No other traditional crème based or paste based sealant can offer that. Ceramic coating technology is the best on the market for protecting your investment. Hands down.

You can but it is NOT recommended. Do not use soaps with wax in them. Ceramic coatings are anti-static and if you mask them with static sealants like traditional waxes they will become sticky and collect contaminants, especially dust and exhaust soot.

Water quality is very important. If using poor water with high PPM when washing, you can develop a film over the top of the coating. This film can mask the coating and diminish its hydrophobic and protective properties. We recommend using deionized or reverse osmosis water systems for periodic rinse downs after usage and to always dry you boat with a drying towel to prevent water spotting, especially on dark colors. We also recommend using Replenish Sio2 Maintenance Spray as often as possible. It can be used as a drying aid. Soap washes once a month are recommended with spot free rinse downs after usage.

The reason we use glass is because pure Ceramic Coating would react with the plastic to make the liquid solution unusable. Plastic is not safe to use as packaging for Ceramic Coatings and glass is required instead to keep the liquid coating safe for use. We also distribute our variant sizes in 100ml units. Variant sizes of 500ml and 1000ml would come as 5-100ml and 10-100ml bottles, respectively.
