This is one of the most popular regions for yacht charters in Croatia. Located on the southern coast, its made up of 233 miles of coastline, islands, and reefs, and includes the must-see historic towns of Split and Dubrovnik , as well as hundreds of stunning verdant islands and national parks. 

Croatia's second-largest city – its "crown jewel',  Split  has a history dating back to the 4th century. It is also home to the beautiful Roman  Diocletian's Palace , a top recommended destination for your tour.

Split also boasts some of Croatia's largest marinas, and is within shooting distance of the celebrated islands of Korčula , Hvar , Vis, and Brač . Visit the world-famous Zlatni Rat beach on Brač's southern side, or sample the vibrant nightlife and clubbing scene on Hvar, which also plays host to several regattas over the summer season. Further south is  Dubrovnik,  a UNESCO World Heritage site of huge architectural prominence.

Istria Region

Located in the north of Croatia, this region has a distinctly Italian feel to it, and has plenty of fantastic places to visit. Pula, the region's capital, is crammed with museums, which isn't surprising given its history that dates back to 3,000BC.

Across the water, lies the Brijuni National Park , a group of 14 small picturesque islands easily accesible from the mainland. Slightly to the north, the beautiful old fishing port of Rovinj is also well-worth a visit, with its steep cobbled streets and charming piazzas. 

Travel south to historic Zadar , where you can enjoy a quiet walk along marbled streets and pine-scented beaches. Further south you will find the Kornati archipelago , a group of 100 or so relatively barren islands and reefs which are perfect for swimming and snorkelling.

You should note that berth/slip options in Croatia for larger yachts (over 50m) are limited, however, with plenty of safe and tranquil anchorage spots to choose from amongst the numerous islands, islets, and reefs around this Adriatic hotspot you will be spoilt for choice.

Sailing Yacht Charters in Croatia

The Adriatic enjoys an average of 315 cloudless days a year, and with winds in Croatia generally around 10-20 knots, this can make chartering a sailing yacht a great option to explore the picturesque islands and secluded beaches at your leisure. The winds do tend to get stronger in the fall, so bear this in mind when booking your charter. 

There should be ample sailing yachts, gulets (traditional wooden yachts), and catamarans for charter in Croatia, but we do recommend booking early to secure your perfect yacht and desired itinerary. 

Gulet Charters in Croatia

Gulets are traditional wooden boats originating from Turkey , but are now widely available throughout Croatia and Greece . These types of boats offer a fantastic and cost-effective alternative to a luxury charter yacht, for those wishing to spend a bit less but still enjoy a fabulous yacht charter in the Mediterranean . 

With so many options available, there’s something to suit every type of budget in Croatia. The average prices for motor yacht and sailing yacht charters in Croatia are as follows;

• For motor yacht rentals in Croatia, prices can range from $32,000 to $1,8m per week plus expenses
• For luxury sailing yacht rentals in Croatia, prices can go from $32,363 to $582,882 weekly plus expenses

The optimal times for yacht charters in Croatia’s sapphire-hued waters span from May till October. During this time, you can benefit from calmer seas, reliably clement weather, and warm swimming temperatures. Croatia’s peak season is July and August, so expect both higher charter fees and packed marinas in these months.

There are a variety of options, although most yachts charters tend to begin in Dubrovnik or Split in the Dalmatia region, both of which have major international transport links. Another popular option is to set off from Italy or Montenegro and then cruise the Adriatic down towards the Kornati a rchipelago or along the Dalmatia region – encompassing 233 miles of coastline stretching from Krk to Lastovo .

For yacht charters in the north of Croatia, many like to begin in Venice or Bari, located in Italy’s Puglia (or Apulia) region, before crossing the Adriatic to Croatia's Istria region. From here you can explore the popular island of Pula , with its world-class Roman amphitheater, before cruising down towards Zadar and the Kornati National Park .

Alternatively, you can begin in Porto Montenegro – only an hour’s drive from Dubrovnik – although you may have to cover the cost of repositioning as many luxury charter yachts in Croatia are based in Split.

We recommend finishing your luxury charter in Split, Croatia's second-largest city and one of the most popular superyacht hotspots on the Adriatic. Renowned for its pristine beaches and crystalline waters, plus with a vibrant mix of things to see and do, you'll be in for a treat.

There are hundreds of harbors, marinas, and ports in Croatia, so whether stopping off in Dubrovnik or sailing to the far side of the Lastovo Archipelago National Park there are sure to be facilities or an anchorage to suit your needs.

There are 56 official marinas along the Croatian coast from Umag to Dubrovnik. Some of out top picks include;

• ACI Marina Dubrovnik – located within a short distance to Dubrovnik’s historic old town. It has 380 slips and can accommodate yachts up to 60m/196ft. For larger yachts, or yachts not requiring a slip, another popular option is to utilize the international cruise ship terminal quay, which is happy to facilitate yacht charter pick-ups and drop-offs.
• ACI Marina Korčula – ideal for a stop off at one of the many island destinations on your yacht charter, we recommend this sheltered marine, which accommodates yachts up to a maximum LOA of 40m/131ft.
• Lumbarda Marina – also on Korčula this marina has slips catering to yachts up to a max length of 25m/82ft.
• ACI Marina Vrboska – located in the celebrated islnad of Hvar, this marina offers berths for yachts up to a max length of 30m/98ft.
• Cavtat Marina – If you're struggling to find a slip in the summer, we recommend this marina, which is located to the south of Dubrovnik and enjoys good shelter from all winds. It offers 119 slips for yachts up to a max LOA of 60m/197ft.

Some of the best ports in Croatia are also located in the Istria region in northern Croatia. We recommend;

• D-Marin Dalmacija – located a few kilometers south of the ancient city of Zadar, which is the largest marina in Croatia with 1,200 berths and can accommodate yachts up to 80m LOA.
• ACI Marina Rovinj – catering for yachts with a LOA of up to 25m/82ft 
• Marina Funtana – max length 20m/65ft. 

For larger berths in the Split-Dalmatia region:

• ACI Marina Split –  located in the heart of Croatia's "jewel" this marina has recently been modernised, offering great shopping, dining, fuelling and repair services to name but a few, alongside 318 protected berths that can accommodate superyachts up to 90m LOA. 
• Marina Kastela – just 7km up the coast from Split – which can accommodate superyachts of up 150m/492ft in length, with a draft of 8m.
• D-Marin Mandalina – located in the city of Šibenik, situated between two National Parks within a protected lagoon, this marina boasts 429 slips, and has also been specially developed to accommodate yachts of up to 140m/459ft LOA. 

With its rich cultural and architectural history, along with lush national parks and secluded beaches, Croatia is fast becoming one of our most popular destinations. Therefore, we advise you to book your yacht charter well in advance of your trip to secure your perfect yacht on your preferred dates.

If you leave it too late, the selection of yachts at your disposal will be reduced and you may not be able to explore the destinations you have your heart set on. Plus, finding dates when everyone in your charter party is available can be tricky; the longer you leave it, the more challenging it will be.

Some important things to consider before booking your yacht;

• Yachts tend to spend more time at anchor in Croatia, so you need to consider that when choosing your perfect yacht. Ideally, find a yacht that is comfortable with ample leisure and entertainment facilities onboard. 
• Avoid heading into Dubrovnik when the big cruise ships are in town, these vessels can hold some 3,000 passengers and the town can become uncomfortably crowded.
• You should also be aware that certain zones in Croatia's waters forbid fishing or diving, or require special permissions to do so. This is something you can discuss with your yacht broker, or yacht captain when deciding on your itinerary.

There should be a wide selection of yachts to choose from, so there is sure to be something that suits both you and your budget.

Croatian Gulets, traditional wooden yachts with wide beams that offer spacious deck areas and generous accommodation, are a fantastic and cost-effective alternative to a luxury charter yacht. Gulets are available to charter for around €13,500-€15,000 per week, which usually includes food and up to 4 hours cruising per day.

Gulets are also perfect for family charters, or those who simply enjoy spending their time out on deck soaking up the beautiful surroundings of this stunning region.

The perfect time for yacht charters in Croatia is between May to October, with average temperatures in the mid to high 20s, calm sapphire seas and endless days of glorious sunshine.

You should note that Croatia's peak season is in July and August, so expect both higher charter fees and crowded marinas during these months.

Most charters tend to begin in the beautiful historic towns of Dubrovnik or Split before continuing on to the celebrated islands of Hvar, Mljet, Vis and Brač. Alternatively, you can begin in Montenegro in the south, but you should note there may be additional re-positioning fees to pay as most yachts are based out of Split.

Another option is to begin your yacht charter in Venice, Italy then cross the Adriatic to Croatia's breathtaking northern region before cruising down the coast to Zadar or Split.

Once you have decided on your perfect yacht, your yacht broker will then draw up the necessary contract; a legally binding agreement between you and the owner of the yacht. At this point, based on the type of contract, you will be required to pay 50% of the cost of the yacht up front, with an additional 25-30% of this base rate to cover additional expenses you and your guests are expected to incur whilst on charter.

How wonderful it really is to be sailing the Adriatic Sea and the 1000+ islands of Croatia is one of Europe's best-kept vacation secrets! There's no better way to explore the beauty of the region and live a true holiday adventure than by boat, and Navigare Yachting is here to help.

About our Location

Sail in Croatia from our base in Seget, just a 15 min drive from Split airport. Seget is located outside the historic fortress-town of Trogir. You may also sail from Dubrovnik if you wish to explore the south of Croatia or even set sails to Montenegro.

The highest season is from mid-June to mid-September. The shoulder season is a great time to sail as there is usually more wind at this time. Our bases in Croatia are closed from early November until mid-March.

The currency in Croatia is the Euro (EUR).

Yacht Fuel is not included – the fuel tank will be full when your charter starts and you are responsible for topping off the fuel tank at the end of your charter. The price of the Carefree Pack varies by boat size and is a flat fee for bookings up to one week. A surcharge applies for bookings of 2+ weeks.

Dalmatino – 30.05.-06.06.2022

There isn’t a better way to visit Croatia and experience each of the islands than traveling on Dalmatino. The boat was stunning. The boat crew had the best service I have ever experienced. This trip will be very hard to top. We were directed to the best experiences on each island, food was absolutely delicious and beautiful at the same time. I would highly recommend this yacht and staff to anyone who has the opportunity to travel to Croatia!

I would give a six star as a vacation spot and a 100% satisfying rate. The staff was so helpful and so so nice. Food was over the top in presentation, variety and was delicious. The Captain chose just a perfect route through the islands, the right amount of village time as play time. I would do this trip every year on Dalmatino!

From the moment I stepped on this boat I was greated with smiles & genuine care. I have never had an experience such as this where I was treated like I was special. Each and every one of you made this week memorable and I will never forget it. Matea made sure our thunderstorm of a room was always inviting and shared her last hairtie with me so I could enjoy the water. Keke made sure I always had milk with dessert before even asking and kept us all in a good mood. To the chef who gave us a personal tour of the bars so we could experience the true culture. Rocco despite us leasing hi min the beginning made sure to act professional as always. Stipe on our day to the market gave us the submarine tunnel. Last but not leats, the Captain who ensure no matter the weather there was always a plan for fun in place. Overall, I wish I couls stay with you forever and I have never had such a wonderful time. I have no words to explain the marvelous adventure we have sailed with Captain Tom. It has been the upmost pleasure to embark in this journey around the Adriatic Sea with such a wonderful crew. Ivana is super attentive and dedicated to fulfilling the needs of all my fellow travelers who have stepped aboard Captain Tom’s deck. The sights seen could never be converged in the slightest. The sea was magical. The food was amazing. Everyday was a delight to my mouth. We cannot wait to come back next year. Thank you to the entire crew.

Altair – 08.2022

Carefree and a wonderful cruise down the Adriatic Mastercharter was the best Croatian travel agency I have dealt with in the last ten years. Ivana, Mirna and Mate are devout professionals who will tender to your every need. Ask a question and you will get an answer momentarily, if one of them is busy one of the others will respond. No detail is overlooked and everything is done to your satisfaction. They stay true to their motto which says “Everything is possible for one who believes”.

I wanted to charter a gulet for a family cruise and for my particular needs they suggested the Altair which turned out to be the perfect choice. The name Altair is derived from the bright star, aka Alpha Aquilae, which shines as the brightest star in the constellation Aquila the Eagle. It describes this gullet perfectly; it is beautiful, clean and well maintained. The crew is a family run affair; Captain Dare is a capable sailor and a wonderful host. His Dad Duje is a fantastic cook and a Captain in his own right and Dare’s sister Luce (Lucy) is a wonderful hostess and a do everything gal who will attend to your every need. Also there is Lovro, a very capable sailor who makes sure that the boat is securely tied, he will help you with all the heavy lifting, will provide you with the swimming toys once you are in the water and will watch over you while you swim.

The cruise down the Jadran (Adriatic Sea) was absolutely fantastic. We were in and out of secluded coves for swimming in the crystal clear water during the day and visited famous towns like Hvar, Korčula, Polače, Ston and others in the evening. It was a perfect combination of rest, relaxation and sightseeing.

I would like to take this opportnity to thank the crew once more for making me and my family feel like we were a part of their family and for providing us with a carefree, restfull, exciting and wonderfull experience. Special thanks goes out to my new friend Duje Junior (Dare’s son) who made our trip that much more enjoyable, this is from his new friend Brankec.

Corsario – 25 June 2022

We had the Best time in Corsario, aside from the amaizing places and smooth ride, the crew was so warm, dedicated and helpfull. Stand up padlle, water motor rides, snorkeling, biking and awesome more experiences we lived in this boat. Thank to this boat and the crew we could had an inforgivable family time! Romanca – 18.06.-25.06.2022

Global Rating: 5/5 (Excellent)

We travel often and far, and we have been around the world and had amazing experiences. But our vacation on the Romanca, chartered via MasterCharter, was truly unrivaled! Airline travel these days can be beyond hectic, and our vacation seemed to get off to the wrong start when the airline lost our luggage. Ivana (Mastercharter) and Andrea (owner of the Romanca) arranged a speedboat to take a passenger to get medication that had gone missing with the bags and PERSONALLY tracked our luggage down and had it hand-delivered to the boat as we were eating breakfast under sail. Additionally, a member of our party had a bicycle accident, and Marin (Romanca’s captain) was on location in minutes with the town’s doctor and sat with us through the process of going to the hospital and getting a few stitches, then offered to buy the injured person an ice cream, (because everyone knows when you get stitches, you get an ice cream). Despite our two mishaps, all 15 of our party fell madly in love with Croatia, the Adriatic, MasterCharter, and most specifically the Romanca and its crew. The Romanca is by far the prettiest wooden gullet on the Adriatic; you cannot help but share the pride of her crew as she sails into port. You can tie her up next to the largest, newest ship in any marina, and know you are the one privileged enough to call the Romanca home. Valentina and Mario knew everyone by name on the first morning and never forgot our food or drink preferences — my latte was being made before I could sit at the Romanca’s massive table. Victor is a world class chef and a true artist who goes out of his way to please everyone. He woke up in the middle of the night to feed the three of us who waited for the doctor to finish his work on our patient, and we got a beautiful steak with rice and salad, totally unexpected and above and beyond. Ivan, the first mate, went out with several of our younger “sailors” (as per our request) when they wanted to go to a club at midnight. He watched over us and protected us like family, even at the sacrifice of his night’s sleep. And Marin navigated us through it all, recommending phenomonal wineries, restaurants, and excursions on the islands. I’m not prone to write reviews, or be loquacious, but for this trip, I must! These people are so special and amazing; they find a magical way of outshining the scenery. That said, Croatia and her islands are not to be missed, their beauty is unparalleled and the experience is unmatched. Do yourself a favor, spend a week on the Romanca… just don’t book the weeks we want, we will be back!

IT IS HARD IN LIFE TO BE FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO EVER BE ABLE TO BE IN A POSITION TO BE ABLE TO VACATION ON A BOAT SUCH AS ANIMA MARIS. HOWEVER, IT IS EVEN MORE DIFFICULT TO HAVE AN EXPERIENCE THAT EXCEEDS ALL OF YOUR EXPECTATIONS.THIS TRIP WAS BEYOND WHAT WE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE. WE HOPED IT WOULD BE THIS WONDERFUL, BUT TO HAVE EACH DAY BE BETTER THAN THE DAY BEFORE HAS TRULY BEEN A DELIGHT. THE BOAT OF COURSE IS A WORK OF ART,A MIX OF MODERN YET STILL ROMANTIC. THE CABINS ARE SO SPACIOUS AND THE BATHROOMS AS WELL.NOVAK’S COOKING WAS SPECTACULAR AS WELL AS ALEXANDER. ANYTHING WE WANTED DELIVERED WHICH AS WE ALL KNOW IS NOT AN EASY THING TO DO. SONIA KEPT OUR CABINS AND LAUNDRY IMPECCABLE AND THE REST OF THE CREW WAS WITH US ON DECK TIME WE NEEDED ANYTHING AT ALL. THE LOADED THE WATER TOY INTO THE SEA EVERYDAY SO OUR KIDS COULD RIDE THE SEABOB FROM MORNING TILL NIGHT. THEY WATCHED CAREFULLY AS THEY FLIPPED OFF THE TOP DECK IN TO THE WATER. CAPTAIN MARIO ALWAYS FOUND US THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BAYS AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, PICKED THE BEST CREW. THEN WE CAME TO VICTORIA WHO ALL DAY, EVERYDAY MADE SURE WE HAD ANY DRINK OR SNACK WE WANTED. LASTLY IVAN, WITHOUT HIM, SETTING THE STANDARDS OF EXCELLENCE AND SERVICE, NOTHING WOULD HAVE COME TOGETHER. THANK YOU EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU FOR MAKING THIS UNFORGETTABLE.

Captain Luka was very professional and helpful, his brother Damir and the chef were excellent too. I think the Steward, Ivor was a bit out of his depth as he was really a deck hand that had stood in for a Stewardess from what we learned, and whilst he tried hard, my only recommendation would be that an experienced stewardess would have added polish to the whole drinking and dining experience.

I had the opportunity to sail twice with Mario. The first time in the basic school of sailing, and the second time in the Vis regatta. When you combine a great sailboat, a great team and Mario as a skipper who tries (and succedes!) to win - you get a little different, even better experience. Arriving in Croatia

Transportation to Croatia from other countries can be achieved through various modes of transportation, including air travel, road travel, and maritime options.    

By Plane  

Croatia has several international airports, with the largest and most well-connected being Zagreb, Split, and Dubrovnik. Other major airports include cities Zadar, Pula, Rijeka, and islands Brač and Mali Lošinj.  

Numerous airlines operate flights to Croatia from various international destinations. Major carriers such as: Croatia Airlines, Adria Airways, etc. The availability of flights may vary by season. Flight durations to Croatia can vary significantly based on your departure location, but the average flight time from European cities is around 2-3 hours.  

By Road  

Croatia is accessible by road from neighbouring countries like Slovenia, Hungary, Serbia, Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The road network in Croatia is well-developed, making it easy for travellers to enter by car or bus. Tourists who decide to travel to Croatia by road must make sure they have the necessary travel documents and check entry requirements at border crossings.   

During the high season in July and August, traffic jams may occur on the freeway leading to the Croatian coast. Hrvatski Autoklub is the Croatian Automobile Club that provides various services to its members and the public related to road safety and automobile services. It offers roadside assistance services to its members and provides help in case of breakdowns, accidents, or other emergencies on the road.  

Cell phones, while driving, are prohibited. The use of seat belts and child seats is mandatory.  

By Train  

Hrvatske željeznice – Croatian Railways , often abbreviated as HŽ, is the state-owned railway company. It is responsible for operating the majority of the country's rail services, including passenger and freight transport. The rail network includes mainline routes, regional lines, and branch lines. It connects major Croatian cities like Zagreb, Split, Rijeka, Osijek, and others, except Dubrovnik.   

Croatia has direct connections with Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Serbia and Montenegro, and indirect connections with almost all European countries.  

HŽ has established international rail connections, including services like the Euro City (EC) trains that connect Croatia with cities in other European countries, making it easier for travellers to explore the region by train. These connections offer a scenic way to travel to Croatia.  

By Sea  

Croatia is a popular destination for Mediterranean cruises. You can reach the country by taking a cruise ship or a ferry from various Mediterranean ports. Major ferry ports in Croatia include Split, Dubrovnik, and Rijeka.  

Many travellers explore Croatia's coast and islands by taking ferries and catamarans between the islands. This is a unique way to experience the country's stunning coastline.  

In the summer, ferry connections with islands are intensified. The summer schedule is valid from May 31st to September 28th. There are regular boat and ferry lines from Italy to Croatia.

From June to September is the High Season

During these months, the weather is consistently warm and sunny, with temperatures ranging from comfortable to hot, peaking in July and August. If you prefer a hotter climate for sunbathing on the deck and swimming from the boat, summer is the ideal time.  

Keep in mind that this period constitutes the peak tourist season . Popular destinations and attractions can be quite crowded, particularly in coastal areas and islands.  

These months are perfect for various water-based activities due to warm sea temperatures and calm conditions . Swimming, snorkelling, scuba diving, sailing, and other water sports are popular choices, making it an ideal time for beach enthusiasts.  

Summer in Croatia hosts a multitude of festivals, cultural events, and outdoor concerts, providing an opportunity to immerse yourself in local culture, music, and traditions. Nightlife peaks during the summer, especially in destinations like Pag, Hvar, Brač, Dubrovnik, and Split.  

May and October are Shoulder season  

For a budget-friendly experience in Croatia, consider visiting during the shoulder seasons, specifically in early Spring (May and June) or late Autumn (September to November). These times offer a range of affordable activities. However, keep in mind that certain experiences, dining options, and accommodations may be limited.

During the shoulder season, the weather is generally pleasant. In May and September, temperatures are milder , making outdoor activities and sightseeing comfortable. The sea remains warm enough for swimming and water sports, while the weather is conducive to exploring historical sites, hiking in national parks, and enjoying outdoor dining.  

Booking sailing boats during the shoulder seasons is often easier compared to the summer months, with a broader range of options and potentially more reasonable prices .   

The shoulder seasons offer an excellent opportunity to explore Croatia's islands in a more family-friendly environment , characterized by fewer crowds and a relaxed atmosphere. Winter is the Low season  

Exploring Croatia during the low season, from November to April , provides a unique opportunity for a more nature-focused experience.   

During this time, many establishments close, leading to limited choices for boat charters, attractions, and activities. On the other hand, it is perfect for early booking activities and the flexibility to choose dates before the peak season rush.

Sailing Conditions in Croatia

The Adriatic Sea , the n orthernmost part of the Mediterranean, spans from the Strait of Otranto to the Veneto region in Italy, boasting over 1,300 islands along the Croatian coast .   

Tides in the Adriatic are characterized by small amplitudes, while currents are weakly observable, flowing counterclockwise along the Croatian coast.   

The sea's salinity averages 38.30 per mill , influenced by the Po River and lower than the Mediterranean. Sea temperatures fluctuate annually, reaching 22 to 25°C in summer.    

Waves are relatively small due to the Croatian coast's configuration, ensuring safe sailing .   

Weather conditions are influenced by the general Mediterranean weather , with light to moderate winds prevailing until June, calm in July and August, and stronger winds returning in September.  

Winds in Croatia

The Adriatic Sea is known for distinct wind patterns that influence its weather and sailing conditions, including Bura, Jugo, Maestral, Lebić, and Levant.  

• Bura winds from the northeast or east-northeast bring a cold, dry wind often accompanied by clear skies.  
• Jugo winds from the southeast are warm and moist , bringing humid conditions and occasional rain, often associated with unstable weather.  
• Maestral winds from the northwest are a daytime sea breeze during summer , providing cooler and pleasant conditions, particularly along the Croatian coast.  
• Levant winds from the east are moderate to strong easterly winds bringing some rainfall, more common in the southern Adriatic during transitional seasons.  
• Lebić winds from the southwest are warm and moist, potentially causing stormy weather and heavy rain , mainly in the western part of the Adriatic, more common in the fall and winter.

We have sailed in Croatia for a few weeks this year and have picked out a few of our favourite places. Where is a safe place to take the boat out in Croatia, have a nice meal or a nice morning walk, jog, coffee or swim?

Konoba Dvor in Primosten on the hill

Whether you decide to leave your boat at a buoy or anchor in the bay off Primosten or choose the more sheltered option of Marina Kremik, don't miss Konoba Dvor, located at the top of the historic streets of this picturesque town. This is one of those restaurants that we can say has maintained its standards over the years, treating customers with respect and friendliness, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is divine. We recommend their mussels or vongole na buzaru, we rated them as one of the best in Croatia. You can't go wrong with steak with truffle sauce or a simple black risotto. A specialty you don't often find anywhere else is shrimp tartare.

Capriés, only Spirito summer place

Spirito Summer Place used to be located on the island of Tijat, now you can find it on Kaprije. There is a large buoy field at Otočič Oštrica, but you can also stand by the pier or a little further away at anchor by arrangement. We recommend this place to all gourmets who appreciate high gastronomy, modern serving, original The restaurant offers a modern serving, authentic ingredients , unusual flavour combinations inspired by Asian fusion, classy service and a beach club chill atmosphere. In short, something completely different from the traditional Croatian taverns. Be sure to get your cocktail mixed, they have some delicious ones here.

Gourmets will rejoice. Modern gastronomy unprecedented in Croatia.

Asia in Korcula?

ACI Marina Korčula has a very narrow entrance (the pontoons are close together), so you can practice parking your boat here. But it offers everything you need from showers, a supermarket, a cafe and assistance from a rubber dinghy if you have a problem getting around. Korcula then has a large number of restaurants, most of which serve good classic Croatian food. The one that caught our attention this year, however, was Asian. It sounds a bit strange to enjoy Asian cuisine in Croatia, but on the other hand, after a week at sea, many people have a taste for something "a bit different". And the Silk restaurant not only has a beautiful view, the service is nice and fast, but the food here is really very tasty and hilarious. It is also packed in the evening, we recommend making a reservation. For cocktail lovers, we recommend trying some of their signature drinks.

Picturesque bays on the Ščedru river

The island of Ščedro is part of a natural protected area. It is therefore very picturesque, has 3 sandy beaches, which is a record number for Croatia, and is very quiet. Whether you anchor in Tufera Bay, Porteruša or spend the night on a buoy in Uvala Porat, you won't go wrong. We love the Amfora restaurant, run by a young couple who personally select the best fresh catches from local fishermen and grow their own vegetables behind the restaurant. In addition, the hiking trails on Ščedru are nice to walk on in the morning.

Laganini is a classic that does not disappoint

On Pakleni otoce, the long-running lounge bar and restaurant Laganini still maintains the quality of service, drinks and food. You may pay extra for the quality, but the atmosphere here is absolutely amazing. Crawfish or lobster is their specialty, but sushi lovers and lovers of traditional Croatian cuisine will also enjoy it. You can leave your boat at the ACI marina in Palmižana and walk over the hill to the establishment or on the buoy in the bay of Vinogradišče right next to the establishment.

Carpe Diem for party animals

If you miss the party life during your cruise and want to experience a truly unforgettable night, head to the Carpe Diem Club. Water taxis are free from Hvar town, so whether you park directly in Hvar or at the ACI marina in Palmižana, you'll get here and there very comfortably. This club has class! During the day it's a beach bar, at night famous DJs descend here and party at 100-6. All in the open air, with lasers shining into the trees and the atmosphere of a great summer party.

Vegetarian paradise on Hvar

There are plenty of good restaurants in Hvar, but not so many tasty meatless dishes. We would like to highlight a place called Fig, which serves a lot of healthy and vegetarian dishes. In addition, it makes its own kombucha, vegetable and fruit juices and smoothies. A paradise for fans of a healthy lifestyle.

Try their signature pita with fresh cheese and figs.

Dinner at the hotel?

While we are on the island of Hvar, we must not forget Hotel Adriana. It is not only a hotel with wellness, but also a restaurant and bar, where not only guests staying here can go. We have walked past this building for many years, but never thought to stop here for a meal. This year we tried and we have to say that this is one of the best places in Croatia. The couvert alone, which consists of fresh ripe tomato, is delicious.

To Lastovo to fish

We tasted some of the best fish this year at the Triton restaurant on the island of Lastovo in the bay of Zaklopatica. It is a family run business that has its own pier, the owner himself will help you land your boat and his wife will introduce you to the fish they have on the menu that day. Just count on the fact that there is a fee to enter the Lastovo National Park, we paid around 30 euros per boat.

A sandy beach and a bakery in Kornati

One of our very favourite places was, is and still remains the bay on the island of Levrnaka with Konoba Levrnaka. The pier needs to be booked in advance and so does their famous bakery, which is baked a few hours in advance, so you need to make a reservation. In the early evening or morning, we recommend taking a walk over the gentle hill to the sandy beach of Lojena, where you may spot flatfish on the bottom while snorkeling.

The octopus peka is a Croatian specialty that we recommend you try.

Recharge your batteries on Solta

In Maslinica Bay on the island of Solta, you can recharge your batteries in a marina with the mysterious name of Martinis Marchi. The marineros here are more than happy to help you get around, there are great clean showers, a cafe right by the pier and in the evenings there are occasional live music concerts in the atrium. If you stay overnight in this marina, be sure not to miss a visit to the Šampjer restaurant, located on the opposite hill, the atmosphereThe atmosphere and the view from here is wonderful and, being further away from the promenade, the restaurant strives to cook high quality, original and very tasty food. Just call the restaurant and order a taxi up the hill, they have their own taxi service that takes guests there and back. We always like to take the walk back (it's a breeze down the hill after sunset).

Where to anchor when I want to go to Lake Mir

The salty Lake Mir and the cliffs on the island of Dugi Otok within the Telaščica National Park are among the most popular destinations for sailors. We liked the buoy field in Uvala Mir with the Gospoja restaurant. The establishment offers traditional Croatian food in super quality, modern interior and very nice service.

Is Festa still in?

A long-standing staple of quality gastronomy in Croatia, the Fešta restaurant on the island of Žut is still the top choice for both large luxury yachts and smaller boats at the pier. With a restaurant reservation you can also request a seat on the pier. If you don't want to commit to a visit to Festa, take advantage of the ACI marina Žut located next door. The fish and various fish dishes from carpaccio, tartare to fish pate, are absolutely delicious here. Take a morning walk up the hill, there are lots of man-made stone towers and you'll get a great view of the Kornati archipelago.
