This was another nice surprise at the 2021 Cannes Yachting Festival! Moored right up alongside its competitors, the Vision F 80 blended in perfectly with current trends. Anthracite lacquered hulls, black superstructures, teakcovered deck, rectangular though slightly softened forms, huge flybridge and large opaque windows: the design codes are obviously reminiscent of those of the undisputed leader of luxury multiyachts. This new 80-foot catamaran from Turkey, on display with the large units at the show, demonstrates the irresistible rise of large multipowers, that are now competing unchallenged with the biggest players in the monohull superyacht industry! The Vision F Brand, headquartered in the Tuzla marina in Istanbul, was created in 2018 at the heart of this facility dedicated to yachting. However, it relies on the experience of the Yalova shipyard in the south of the megalopolis, just a stone’s throw from the Bosphorus. This yard has been repairing large yachts for many years. VISION F 80NG Yacht for Sale

The VISION F 80NG is all around captivating, with her stunning, contemporary black hull and impressive luxurious that mirror a seven-star hotel. At 81’1” (24.70m) with a beam of 32’5” (9.90m) she has an unparalleled sense of space that allows you to enjoy the best of on-water living. Equipped with twin Volvo Penta IPS engines, the VISION F 80 NG has a top speed of 16 knots and a range of 2,000 nautical miles at 8 knots. The yacht has a shallow draft of 2’ 7” (0.8m), allowing her to access shallow water cruising destinations and harbors.

If you enjoy living the alfresco lifestyle, you will fall in love with the VISION F 80 NG. Stepping aboard, you will be welcomed with a spacious cockpit that offers alfresco dining. Wide teak steps on both sides go down to her hydraulic swim platforms, which allow for easy access to the Williams jet tender. The yacht’s foredeck has a large lounge space that is perfect for relaxing and socializing with friends and family while taking in sea views. Moving up via stairs from the aft deck is an inviting flybridge with sunpads, lounge seating and an exterior helm station.

The VISION F 80NG features an impressive 581 square foot (54 sqm) salon and accommodations. Her salon is welcoming and elegant with Alcantara wall coverings, beautiful furnishings and expansive windows that fill the space with natural light. On the starboard side of her salon is a seating area with leather-covered chairs and L-shaped seating groups. To port, the yacht features a large dining table for 10-12 people. The open layout of her salon makes her perfect for entertaining and enjoying time at sea.

Up to eight guests are comfortably accommodated in four well-appointed staterooms aboard VISION F 80NG. Her starboard side hull has her sumptuous master, a twin-single guest stateroom as well as a crew cabin. Her portside hull has a well-equipped galley, two luxurious en-suite guest staterooms forward and a crew cabin in the bow.

Vision F80 yacht tour: Inside a €5m powercat with an electric future

At the recent Palma Boat Show, MBY deputy editor Jack Haines took the chance to tour the new Vision F80 powercat…

One of the standout boats at the 2022 Palma Boat Show was the Vision F80, an enormous all-black catamaran from Turkish yard Vision F, who are currently working in partnership with Silent Yachts .

The Vision F80 on display at Palma was fitted with Volvo Penta IPS, but future versions will feature hybrid and electric boat powertrain options.

Our tour starts at the transom with its split bathing platform and hydraulic tender launch platform in the middle.

Once you’re in the cockpit, you really get a sense of the true size of the Vision F80 – with a 30ft beam there’s plenty of room for huge side decks that look like they’ve been borrowed from a bowling alley.

Moving inside, the galley is accessed via its own separate staircase to port, leaving the entire main deck free for a sprawling saloon.

Two more staircases towards the bow lead into the guest accommodation, with the owner’s cabin and a twin cabin to starboard, plus two further cabins to port.

Additional toy storage is offered on the foredeck – there is more than enough room for a Williams jet tender and a jetski, which can be launched via a deck crane.

But arguably, the star of the show is the vast flybridge , which boasts acres of entertaining space, more than enough to fit a hot tub should you require.

“On a composite boat, the black hull and superstructure would make the exterior surfaces uncomfortably hot, but excess heat is easily dissipated by the aluminum hull into the water,” said a builder’s rep.

The boat’s main propulsion comes from twin Volvo Penta IPS 1050 engines for a top speed of 18 knots. At an economical speed of 12 knots the catamaran consumes less than 8 gallons of fuel per hour—far less than an SUV. The shallow 2.6-ft. draft makes it ideal for dropping anchor close to shore and accessing smaller bays that large monohull yachts wouldn’t dare to enter.

Designed for family cruising, the 78-foot multihull has large, open-deck spaces, including an open foredeck with a sunken lounge. This area can be accessed directly from the main salon via a shell door integrated into the windscreen beside the helm station. The flybridge is where the party happens, with a bespoke Void sound system included as an extra on the black edition.  By day, the area is ideal for sunbathing or sitting and enjoying the sea views from the weather-resistant sunpads and seating.

Inside there is more dining for 12 guests. For sleeping, eight guests are accommodated in four cabins, including a large master stateroom starboard side.

Suitably, the interior décor is crisp and modern, with a main dining table made from glossy Black Forest marble. The boat’s success now depends on finding enough owners who are willing to cross over to the dark side.
