Interesting Facts

•  In 2008 the  EPA took the lead and nickel out of the hot dipped galvanize. I bought  all the hot dipped galvanized frames i could,built before 2009 at scrap  prices,so the trailer manufacturers could buy the aluminum to get a head  start in the aluminum trailer business. Some of the trailer builders  that did not get in the race,went under.Sportsman trailers in Texas  was one of them. I bought about 200 of there frames. These frames were  all built for mono hulls.I build my sail boat trailers with these  frames. I go up with a 2" galvanized pipe,then weld two 3/4" nuts near the top.I brace the risers  with two are three 1 1/2"x1/4" angle iron braces with a 1 1/2" pipe  telescoping up and down with a swivel pad or runners. 
•  J 22 and J 24  trailer fits most any boat with a deep draft.The axles are on slides  U-bolted to frame so you can add another axle. 
• This trailer  is 30 ft . It will adjust to   any sail boat are mono hull boat. It is  galvanized  It is 42 years old. I has the  good galvanize.and great  American steel. 
• Galvanized with three 5200 lb axle,     10 risers, adjustable to fit deep drafts 
•  25 to 28 ft shallow draft or swing keel
• Painted  trailer with 10 risers, 37ft long, with three 5200 lb axles,surge brake  on two axles. It is ready to go. Call it will sell fast. 
• This trailer carried the boat 10,000 mi. It is for sale for $2,500.I will add a bow stop 
•  Yard trailer  that can be converted later for road trailer we can add  one more 4500  lb axle and adjust the bow stop. The bow stop is U-bolted to the tongue.  When you have completed the work and ready for the road. We can assist  you in completing the trailer.

• J27 1985  had  to add another axle. It had 700 lbs of water absorbed in hull. By  having axles on slides, we saved him about $2200.One happy camper.

We combine our modular pods with a keel board and winch stand options on any number of Load Rite or 5 STARR bunk models to conform to many sailboat applications. STANDARD FEATURES

Galvanized Steel Frame

Tubular structural steel, fully hot dip galvanized, provides the ultimate finish for any boat trailer.  Tubular design shrouds wiring and brake lines from damage.  All machining and welding is performed before galvanizing, so there are no surfaces left unprotected from a boat trailer’s ultimate enemy: corrosion.

Patented Aluminum I-Beam Frame

Patented designs offer many features that add functionality to a great look.  Integrated wire gutter beneath the top flange securely protects wiring and brakelines.  Models to 7,300 lbs. capacity feature a captured fastener channel along the bottom flange offering invisible mounting points for other features.  Web mounted crossbars strengthen the overall frame assembly.

Torsion Axles

Torsion axles provide independent suspension, exceptional rigidity, corrosion resistance, and a far superior ride to any leaf spring suspension.  Available on most models.

Greaseable Hubs

Trailer with peace of mind knowing that you’ve inspected the condition and topped off the lubricant level in each hub of your trailer.

Disc Brakes (Where Installed)

This trailer is equipped with disc brakes (where installed).  Load Rite recommends disc brakes on all wheels where available.  Disc brakes are self-adjusting and self-cleaning and require minimal maintenance in order to continue to deliver top performance.  Follow maintenance tips in your Owners Manual for more detailed instructions.

DOT Rated Tires and Lighting

All Load Rite original equipment tires and lighting components are fully DOT approved.

Balanced Wheels 13″ and Larger

CounterAct Wheel Bead Balancing is now included on all 13″ and larger wheel assemblies as a standard feature.  The wheels dynamically balance during each use. Visit counteractbalancing.com for more information.

Aluminum Diamond Plate Fenders

A stylish design combined with extreme durability.  Standard on all single axle models with 13″ and larger wheels.

Heat-Shrunk Sealed, Concealed Wiring

Standard equipment on all trailers 17′ and longer except welded frame models.

Adjustable Carpeted Bunks

Traditionally known as V-bunks, this system offers both high strength and a wide range of adjustability.  Out of adjustment?  There are shorter and taller bolster brackets available in many heights.

A winch is standard equipment on all boat and PWC models.  Capacity and features vary by application.

Tongue Jack

Tongue jacks are standard equipment on all Load Rite Elite models 90″ wide and wider except two-place PWC models, all 5 STARR models, and all UT, EQ, and CH models.  Appearance and specifications vary by application.  Tongue jacks are optional on all other models.

NATM Certified

Each year Load Rite trailers undergo a detailed inspection process in order to earn the right to proudly display this certification on products we manufacture.

Swing Tongue

Applications are limited by trailer capacity and tongue length.  Not available on models exceeding 6,000 lbs. capacity.  Consult with a dealer.

Radial Tires

Smoother riding and longer wear life than many bias-ply tires.  A highly recommended upgrade.  Available for 13″ and larger wheels.

Aluminum Wheels

A stylish option available with bias-ply or radial tires for most models in 12″, 13″, 14″, 15″ and 16″ sizes.

Spare Tire and Carrier

The most important option to consider, every trailer should have a spare tire readily available.  Consult dealer for recommended bracket for individual application.

Vault® Hubs

Vault® – The VAULT® “Hybrid Lubrication System” uses a semi-fluid oil in a pressurized chamber to give you the ultimate in wheel bearing lubrication and protection. At ambient temperatures the oil is thick with a viscosity approaching grease. As the bearing temperature rises during towing, the VAULT’s Hybrid Oil thins out replenishing the bearings with lubricant and dissipating heat. No inspection, no maintenance and no service required.  *Vault® hubs require Dexter axle.  Vault® and Kodiak® stainless disc brakes cannot be combined.

Consult a dealer to confirm application.

Brakes on All Axles

Important Safety Issue – Brake Requirements   

Brake laws vary by state and require dealers to sell trailers that comply with the brake laws of the state where the trailer will be registered.  This is a very important safety issue .  For full information contact the appropriate state Motor Vehicle Department.  As always, Load Rite recommends brakes on all axles where available.

Stainless Steel Disc Brakes

Optional stainless steel brakes available for most 14″, 15″ and 16″ wheel applications. Can be used with surge and electric over hydraulic actuators.*

May require optional axle installation.  Check with your local dealer before ordering.

Stainless Brakelines

A valuable upgrade to any trailer, but especially those to see service in coastal regions with salt water exposure.

Electric Over Hydraulic Brakes

EOH brakes offer electric in-cab control of standard hydraulic disc brakes.  Requires in-cab controller and 7-pin round electrical connection to the tow vehicle.

LED Lighting

LED lights offer far greater reliability than incandescent fixtures.  Long-lasting and waterproof design make these lights ideal for any trailer application.

2″ by 6″ Bunks

Marine grade carpet over 2″ x 6″ dimensional lumber.

Plastic Bunk Covers

These multi-purpose covers provide a smooth surface to help a metal-hulled boat or pontoon to slide easier when launching and loading.  They also offer an insulating barrier to help prevent corrosion for metallic hulled craft.  Protect your aluminum hull.

Highly recommended for metal-hulled boats and pontoon applications.  Not recommended for gel-coat, plastic, or painted metal hulls.

Steady Rest

Carpeted bunk section positioned above and perpendicular to the trailer tongue.  Provides an extra resting and balance point, and helps prevent keel contact with the tongue when loading in certain ramp conditions.

Carpeted Side Guides

Standard on most skiff and jon models.

Drop-Style Tongue Jack

An upgraded jack that provides greater capacities and fast setup with no need to swivel.

Tongue jacks are recommended on all trailers.  Appearance and specifications vary by application.  Tongue jacks are optional on all models where not original equipment.

Rubber Fenders

Rubber fenders are intended for use on dealer yard trailers.  Yard trailers need the flexibility to adapt to many different hull shapes without imparting any damage in the process.  Rubber fenders minimize the possibility of damage should the fender contact the boat hull.

Floating On and Off, or Hoisting On and Off the Trailer

Many customers want a sailboat trailer that allows their sailboat to seamless float on and off the trailer once it has been backed into the water. We work with you during the design process to make sure we build the trailer suitably for your needs, taking into account the ramps you typically use, water depth, tides, etc. Oftentimes we will design or create new options to remove the stress that is often felt when you find yourself facing the launching ramp. We also have plenty of options to suit your personal sailing lifestyle!

You may also choose to have your sailboat hoisted on and off the trailer. If this is the case, you will want to choose the screwpad style support system, as it also allows for further adjustability when working on the sailboat’s hull.

I have a Catalina 28 Wing Keel, that i need to haul occasionally for maintenance. I have found an old O'Day 272 trailer. Does anyone know if i could just ease the Catalina onto that, or would it need to be modified. Also, Does anyone know the trailer weight of a '93 Catalina 28? thanks,

The axles decide. Each axle usually has 5k - 6k lbs of capacity. The boat weighs at least 9,000 lbs with gear loaded. So, for driving around the boat yard, a two-axle trailer with a good frame may suffice. On the road would be a different matter. 1    - CONDITIONS: All items are sold "as-is," "where-is" with no warranty or guarantee expressed or implied for description, condition, or fitness for use. Conditional notes or descriptions are deemed an opinion only and in no way be guaranteed. Royal Auction Group, Inc. (“RAG”) is proud to provide as much info pertaining to each lot but should be used as a guide only, buyers can inspect any lot physically prior to bidding or contact us at 813-715-7920 for additional questions. Mileage/hours are recorded only by what is visible on the meter, and no guarantees are made on actual mileage/hours on any asset sold. Condition notes are given as a guide only; factual information on any lot sold is to be verified solely by the buyer/bidder. INSPECT BEFORE YOU BID!    Buyers must have a valid photo ID issued by a local, state, or federal agency to gain admittance to the auction site and obtain a bidder number. The bidder is responsible for knowing which item you are bidding on. If you are unsure, you should inquire or not bid. When you become the winning bidder at the auction you have affected a contract and will be expected to pay for those items in which you were evidenced to be the successful bidder. Auctioneer will not honor "mistakes." INSPECT BEFORE YOU BID!    All auctions are recorded through sound and video. The auctioneer reserves the right to accept bids in any increment he feels are in the best interest of his client, the seller. The auctioneer reserves the right to reject the bidding of any person whose conduct, actions, or adverse comments he feels are not in the best interest of the seller. 

2    - BUYERS PREMIUM: A 10% Buyers Premium will be charged to each purchased item or individual lot. An additional 2% internet provider service fee will be charged for each item purchased online. 

3    - SALES TAX: Pasco County, FL requires us to collect a 7% sales tax on all items purchased and is charged in addition to the winning bid. All sales are subject to Florida sales tax and Florida tax laws. Sales tax exemptions will be accepted on non-titled assets with a copy of your current agricultural and/or tax exemption certificate as long as that item pertains to your business and is for resale only. Sales tax exemption will be accepted on tilted vehicles only with a current tax exemption certificate and dealer's license. All out of state buyers must pay taxes in Florida and will be required to fill out an affidavit for their home state. Out of country buyers are tax exempt only with a copy of the bill of lading during check out. 

4    - INSPECTION: Items will be available for inspection beginning 2 days prior to the sale from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, or sale day morning starting at 7:30 AM. 

5    - SALE SITE DIRECTIONS 2738 Gall Blvd. Zephyrhills, FL 33541. From I-75 take exit 275 then go East on State Road 56 for 13.5 miles to its end at Highway 301 (AKA Gall Blvd). Cross Highway 301 and the auction will be on your right.  

6    - TERMS: Payment in full is required by the Wednesday after auction day, by cash, credit card, certified funds, or check with a bank letter of guarantee. Sample letter of guarantee: "We hereby guarantee the payment of our customer written on his account up to dollars for purchases at your auction sale on." Personal and Business checks are accepted on sale day however, assets will be held at auction yard for 5 business days or until the check clears, whichever is later. All checks should be made payable to Royal Auction Group Inc. Wire transfers are acceptable if approved at time of registration. ALL invoices will be accessed with a $25.00 processing fee. Most major credit cards are accepted up to $5000.00 with a 3.5% surcharge added into the amount collected.     Winning bidders are required to contact Royal Auction Group via email at  [email protected] to arrange payment instructions on sale day. New and online bidders may be required to submit a minimum of $500 security deposit. The deposit is refundable if no items are won. Winning bidders agree to forfeit their deposit until their invoice has been satisfied. Every effort is made to "guard" merchandise throughout the auction. However, the bidder becomes solely responsible for all items purchased by them immediately following the winning bid and assumes all risks of 

damage to the items following the winning bid by any cause, including Acts of God. RAG shall not be responsible for theft or damage to any items following the winning bid. Interest on overdue amounts will be paid by the buyer at a rate of 18% per annum or at such other maximum rate as allowed by law, together with any legal or collection costs incurred by the auctioneers.     By agreeing to these terms, on-line buyers authorize the Company to charge the credit card on file for the total bid amount plus buyer's premium and processing fees after bidding ends on the purchased lot. Any attempt to circumvent this authorization will be considered theft by deception and the buyer will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Buyers shall not be permitted to possess any of his purchases, and title to such purchased items will not be delivered to the buyer, until the TOTAL PURCHASE PRICE of all his purchases including all applicable goods, taxes or fees have been paid. Backup bidders are still responsible for their bids up to five business days after the auction.    Due to Safety and Insurance reasons, No One under the age of 16 is Permitted on the Auction Site while the sale is in progress.

8    - REMOVAL: No items may be removed until paid in full. Except as  otherwise set forth in section 6 above, all sale items that can be carried by hand may be removed on sale day as long as the removal activity is not disruptive to the sale and only until 5:00 PM. All items may also be removed Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and all items must be removed by 10 business days after the posted sale date. A $20/day per item storage and transportation fee will incur if items are not removed by posted deadlines. Items not removed in the time frame listed above may be deemed abandoned, and the auctioneer may tow and impound or resell the lot.  It is solely the responsibility of Buyer to remove all items within the time frames set forth in this Section. 

9    - AIRPORT: The area is serviced commercially by Tampa International Airport (TPA)

10    - LOADING: RAG staff will gladly assist in loading purchases. RAG only has access to a 5,000lb forklift and cannot lift items with a weight greater than that. Our staff will not load or tie down purchases, but merely will aid the buyer in the process. We are not responsible for any items loaded or any securement of such items. If an outside transport company is used, make sure the driver can load and tie down on their own. In no way will RAG or any of its employees be held responsible for any damage or injury to such items or to any other persons or property during the loading process, and Buyer assumes all risks of damage to the items following the winning bid by any cause, including Acts of God. If the item is listed as non-running, plan to bring a tow truck. We will not push vehicles onto a trailer. Buyer agrees to indemnify and hold RAG and its staff harmless from any claims of damage or injury to any items or to any other persons or property during the loading process. 

11    - TITLE PROCESS — RAG will handle all title transfers. Please bring proof of insurance and appropriate funds for your transfer and registration fees. Dealer fees apply to all titled vehicles, ATVs, and Trailers over 2,000 lbs. The title transfer documents can be done in person, or you can opt for electronically signing the documents. You must complete all paperwork before we can begin to transfer the title.  We process all titles and the title process can take up to 4 weeks after we receive the original completed title paperwork from you.         RAG is under no obligation to begin the title transfer process until the TOTAL INVOICE of all buyer’s purchases including all applicable goods, taxes or fees have been paid and we receive the original completed title paperwork from you.    In State: (Florida Residence)  •    Title Processing Fee for Non-Commercial Vehicles under 7500lbs curb  weight & Trailers over 2,000lbs. –---------------------------- Approximately $165.00  •    Tag Transfer Fee --------------------- an additional $65 to $75.00 ($165 + $65/75)  •    Full Dealer Services — Includes Florida Title processing, temporary tag (if needed) & permanent Florida metal plate ----------------  Approximately $450.00   (if renewal is needed it could be more.)  •    Trailers under 2,000lbs. 12    - DEALERS EXEMPT - Provide your Current Calendar Year Tax Exemption  Certificate and dealer's license, a $25.00 title fee will be charged for each titled Vehicle.

13    - LITIGATION: Costs and Expenses. In the event of any litigation between any of the Parties arising from or relating to the enforcement or interpretation of this Agreement, the prevailing party is entitled to recover all costs and expenses, which shall include attorney's fees incurred at all proceedings, including, without limitation, before trial, at trial and all appellate levels, against the non-prevailing party. In any such award of costs and expenses, the prevailing party shall also be entitled to recover "fees on fees" from the non-prevailing party, meaning those costs and expenses, including attorney's fees, which are required to determine the amount of costs and expenses to be awarded 

14    - GOVERNING LAW, JURISDICTION, and VENUE: This Agreement shall be deemed to be made and entered into in the State of Florida, and shall, in all respects be interpreted, enforced, and governed under the laws of Florida. The sole and exclusive venue and forum for any litigation arising under or related to this Agreement shall be the State Courts of Florida located in Hillsborough County, and the parties hereby expressly waive and release any rights they may otherwise possess to file or move any such litigation to any other Court in the State of Florida, or to any Court in any other State, or to remove such litigation to Federal Court.    15    — CONSIGNORS: No consignor is permitted to bid on their own item(s), and a consignor bidding on their own items will be deemed in breach of this Agreement and their Consignment Agreement. It is acknowledged that a consignor bidding on their own items will cause RAG to incur costs and damages that are difficult to ascertain with certainty, therefore a consignor bidding on their own items shall be liable to RAG for 20% of the sale price or reserve amount as liquidated damages. Such liquidated damages are intended to represent estimated actual damages and are not intended as a penalty. In addition, RAG reserves the right to preclude any consignor bidding on their own item(s) from consigning again. 

16    - Royal Auction accepts absentee bids for bidders that cannot physically attend the auction. Absentee bids are treated similar to a max prebid on Proxibid or Equipment Facts. Absentee bids are accepted through a Docusign agreement. Please contact the auction site for details on this process. 

17    - Royal Auction accepts consignments that may be sold OUTSIDE of our physical host auction site. These items will have a lot number followed by a two letter state identifier of what state the item is located. Additionally, the description will describe the state and city where the item is and will have to be removed from.

Auction Terms Glossary:  Odom Reads – This is what the odometer shows at the time of check in. Odom reads is not a guarantee of true mileage, we are simply stating what the odometer is currently showing.    One Owner Fleet – Means this item has had only one previous owner/user. The unit may have changed hands through a dealer but has had only one true owner/user.    City of XXXX – Unit has previously been owned by the City or County named here.    Pwd by/Pwr by – Means the unit has this brand or size power unit.    Limited Function Check – Means during our short check in period, we performed a limited function test of major components where the results are written in the description. This test does not guarantee functionality of any item or components of that item.    Runs & Drives – Means the unit ran at less than 5 MPH and was driven in line during the check in process. Runs and Drives does not guarantee the unit will drive any extended distance. 

Absentee Bid – Means a bid submitted by a bidder to the auction company who cannot attend the auction and therefore the auction company will bid as their proxy.     Sold on a Phone Call or Sold Pending Confirmation – Means the bid must be confirmed as acceptable by the seller. The bidder is still held liable for the bid for up to three days after the sale.    Buyer’s Premium – Means the premium fee added to each item that is purchased and will be calculated into the final sale price.    On-Line Premium – Means the additional buyer’s premium added to each item purchased through the on-line portal.     Timed Sale – Means an on-line sale that each item starts at a specific time and continues until the time is expired. Each bid may add additional time to the bidding process.     Clear Title - Royal Auction Group guarantees a clear title on titled items or we will refund your money in full plus $500.00
